It's a clean store, some of the employees are great... but it's a gamble, unfortunately. We depend on the stock of crickets and worms for our bearded dragon and more often times than not - they are out of stock or their selection is dead. I'm sadly having to look elsewhere for a more dependable stock. Customer service, again - depends on who you get. Lots of turnover and not enough training.

It is so nice to have a Petco much closer to home. They will have most everything that you need. I don't think I've ever seen a Petco care more for their animals than this location. Every time I have visited, there is always at least one employee cleaning a pet enclosure, showing that they care.

This place is clean and easy to find but I've been there 4 times and literally every single time, they don't have what I'm looking for. It might be because they are a little smaller. For example, I went looking for a heat pad that is temperature controlled for my pets to lay on and they didn't have it. I also went in looking for ghost shrimp, and they didn't have those either. So overall, it's a nice new place but if you want something specific, they probably don't have it.

I went to buy gold fish for my daughter and was told I couldn’t buy them unless I told him how big my tank was. I told him I didn’t know and when I asked him again for the fish he told me I couldn’t buy them since I didn’t know how big it was and he needed to make sure they went to a good home. I didn’t know I had to have a background check to buy fish! Plus, the tank at the store isn’t huge!

We got there right at 9 and there was a line but it moved really fast. They have a good system. Got my cat's rabies done and my puppy's 12 week shots. If you haven't been before they will txt you a link to fill out info while you wait for your appt. It was fairly painless. A week later I needed the vaccination records I lost and I called the Vetco customer service line and they emailed me the records immediately. Really impressed.

Their grooming is horrible. They kept changing the cost to get our dogs hair cut each time we would go even though we'd ask for the same thing. We would make an appointment every time and they would take walk ins before getting to our dog. Our dog would be there for 7 hours before they even got to cutting his hair. Would not recommend to anyone and will never go back

I keep trying to go here because it's the closest pet store to my house and every single time my experience is horrible. Under-staffed, pallets in the isles making it impossible for me to get to product, unhelpful/unfriendly staff, no toilet paper or even paper towel in the large single-stall restroom (that one was quiet a fiasco). It's simply not worth it.

Do NOT use their groomers! Took our shorkie in for a trim and said not to go to short, came back and got her and she was shaved as short as you can go, with some areas to the skin. I could have done that myself and saved $50! Will never go back!

We tried to buy a 20 cent goldfish and were told that our 3-gallon filtered tank was not large enough and they refused to sell us a fish. It’s a goldfish for crying out loud! The staff was condescending and arrogant rather than helpful, like we were asking them to compromise their morals by selling us a 20 cent fish without photo identification and a thorough background check with proof of tank worthiness. Give me a break.

It's a big store there in Spanish Fork. They could be better priced, but pet smart is about the same on a lot of the pricing. I wish they would get more options on Avi-cakes bird food. They just have the one parrot size. PetSmart has just the smaller bird parrot size. They both work for my Conure.. So that's good. I just wish both stores had both sizes. And it would be great if they where not over 2 times the price you can get online.

They never have crickets or meal mealworms. The only thing they do have is staff who hate their jobs. Went in tonight and easily waited over 10 minutes to get crickets. Probably longer. I was gone an hour from Springville and just waited and waited. Eventually I just left. Like usual, this place has the crappiest service. I will start going to Pet Smart who has a better rewards program or Animal Ark and both are further but I will get what I want. Avoid this hole in the wall.

I love new stores, they are soo clean. Came here with my kids and brought the pug along. The staff kept trying to give it treats, but my dog hates cookie treats, so it would catch them and spit them out. However it was fun to watch them try. The place has a great selection of many animals, and everything you need to take care of them. When I asked a few questions of the staff they seemed knowledgable, that was nice. It seems like too often staff go glossy eyed at some stores. They never had a pet, it is just a job. Pros: Staff, clean, animal friendly. Cons: Nothing much.

I can't believe the service then they tried to get my to buy some turtles and now i own 17 turtles, 3 birds, 37 goodfish, 11 hamsters and 8 snakes and a lizard without a tail. Had a terrible experience the last two times I’ve been here for their grooming. The first time we waited for our appointment way too long because there were walk-ins that came in before us but only one stylist working. We had to end up leaving and not getting our services done that time. The second time I come in as a walk in to get my dogs nails trimmed, there was no sign or anyone on staff willing to let me know that they had closed for the day. We sat there waiting for someone to help us while many workers looked at us from afar not willing to let us know that they didn’t have anyone. We waited a good thirty minutes before I was able to FIND a worker to help and to find out they were closed. You shouldn’t say you allow walk-ins at all hours on your website if you don’t actually have someone available. You could have also left a sign out letting people know you were closed. Very disappointed and will be taking the time to go elsewhere.

I walked into the Spanish Fork store today and was instantly greeted by several workers. One helped me find what I needed, described how to use it, and gave a few other recommendations. Then at the cash register I asked if they had coupons for anything I was purchasing since I was spending more then I had planned. The girl spent the time looking online and gave me the online deals. I ended up saving over half on my purchase. After today, I’m sold on petco!!!! Love them!!!

The first time I had my dog groomed they didnt do anything but bath her and comb her hair but she had matting everywhere they didn't do what I asked. It costed 35 bucks. The second time they shaved her an was told before hand not to and it costed me 50 bucks, not happy. she's a very little dog to.

Saddest aquarium section I have ever seen. Aiptasia outbreaks and nudibranchs infesting the salt water tanks. Ick, dead, and lethargic fish in the freshwater. They had several sumps not working. Don't waste your time here, you'll only introduce diseases/pests into your tank.

Seems a little sparse on supplies. A really big store was not a ton of things in it. Service is always friendly though, and it's fun to walk around and look at the different animals they have. I watched their obedience training for a while, by the time I was done watching I wasn't sure who was training who. There just wasn't anything that made me say wow in the store. I was pleasantly surprised when this Petco opened in Spanish Fork. The product selection is good. Employees appear to care about the animals. Aquariums are stocked with fish at reasonable populations. Betta fish are separated by opaque barriers, albeit still in cups. I look forward to shopping here in the future.

We went into the store trying to find puppy food. There wasn't a very wide variety of dog food brands. We ended up buying a small bag of puppy food. We didn't get a receipt. An hour later, we came back to return said bag of dog food, as we found the brand we were originally looking for at a different store. The cashier told us that we couldn't get a refund without the receipt. We could only get store credit. It was the same cashier that checked us out. I told her that we weren't given or told that we would need the receipt for a refund. The cashier stopped talking at that point, and handed me the gift card.

February 4, 2018 I went the Spanish Fork Petco with my wife. First off, the smell was foul, like an animal had an accident or something and they just didn't care about cleaning it up. It seemed to be coming from the grooming area, and it permeated into the entire store. In the Koi tank they had a fish that was floating on its side, my wife asked me if it was dead. And it was probably heading that way. The staff were rude and acted like they were doing me and some other customers a favor by letting us in 5 minutes early. Online this location says its open at 0900 but the sign at the location for Sunday says it opens at 1000 which is a big deal when you're standing out in the cold. Eventually because of the smell, we just couldn't take it any longer and had to make a hasty exit. I have shopped at many Petco's. But don't recall ever being inside one that stunk that bad. If you like fresh clean air - visit at your own risk!

My husband and I were excited to become first time pet owners. When we asked for an employees help to purchase some fish, the employee was extremely rude and consecsending. Told us we needed to buy an expensive tank with filtration and heating for a ¢19 fish. She refused to sell us any fish and we left the store heartbroken and empty handed. We went in here to find a dandruff shampoo for my cat cause she'd been having bad dandruff lately. We found several shampoos that would work but decided to go with a vitamin instead which has noticeably helping. Her fur and attitude towards us has improved drastically. She didn't like the taste but we've started mixing it with a wet food to help. The vitamins were affordable, only about 10 dollars for 30 days. We'll probably get the shampoo as well later on. But she doesn't like water at all so we're thinking about a dry shampoo. I'm not sure how well it would work for dandruff though, so if anyone has any suggestions for cats with dandruff I'd appreciate it immensely. :) oh and the fish and little critters they have there are really cute. They had older cats for adoption which I liked a lot.

I took my dog to get groomed, a few days later she had sores all over her body. My vet said she had a bacterial infection likely from unsanitized equipment that broke my dogs skin from being too aggressive with the grooming. I know other places can be booked out longer and more expensive but its worth it to go to a better groomer.

Grooming Services were unprofessional. I took my Great Dane puppy in to get her nails trimmed and to get a bath. I called ahead to see what I would need and how long they would be open. They told me they would be open until 6 P.M., I arrived at 5 P.M. and they had already closed and left for the day. I went the next day when they asked if I had her rabies paper, I did not have a paper but I did have her rabies tag on her collar. They were going to deny my service because I did not have her paper. They also said they could not give her a bath however, there were at least five employees standing there with nothing to do. When they took my puppy back to get heir nails trimmed they put her on a table that was full of other dogs hair that had just been cut. She was covered in another dogs hair, and her nails were not cut the right way. They were sharper than when we came in, I had to take her home and fix her nails. I WOULD NOT take your dog to the groomers in Spanish Fork.

Took my dog to Petco to get groomed because our original groomer had a scheduling conflict and our dog was getting to furry and hot for the summer. First off, they took 4 hours, when I had scheduled an appointment in advance. Then, they called after he had been there for 3 hours to tell me that my dog had "bugs" and in fact he did not have bugs. She said he would need a mandatory $15 extra "treatment". What a freaking money pit. I'm furious! I will never ever have my dog groomed at this overpriced place again!

I'm assuming he's the night time manager, but he was so rude and you could tell he was trying to get us out of there. It was 8:50, and they dont close till 9. We weren't going to stay passed 9 anyways, because all we were doing was exchanging something quick. I had both my dogs with me, one that's 3lbs and the other that's 20lbs. He looked at me and rudely said, "your dog has to be 8lbs". Just assuming it was for my smaller dog(who actually doesn't bark much). When he took me over to the training collars, he talked to me like I was stupid and asking how I was training my dog. Trust me, this collar is a last resort for me and my dog. We have tried EVERYTHING and been consistent. He also wasn't willing to price match with THEIR OWN prices online! As we were walking up to the counter to get our money back for the citronella collar that didn't work, he started shutting off the lights. So rude and very dissatisfied in the way we were treated. Thank goodness there are other places to buy pet supplies.

My husband took my 7 yr old to buy a gold fish. The employee said he wouldn't help my husband because my husband had told him earlier they were just looking around. When they were ready to buy a fish, the employee refused to sell one because we do not have a filter for our tank. My 7 yr old has been working for months to earn a gold fish and left in tears. We won't be going back.

We had our 130 lb. Silver Lab in for spring cleaning. He's an indoor/outdoor dog, who prefers sleeping outdoors even on our blustery winter nights in Utah. His coat becomes ultra-thick and tough to wash and comb. Petco washed and really di-shedded his coat, trimmed his nails, and cleaned his teeth for less than $60 (including tip). They had him for 4 hours, and he came out looking brilliant, clean, and reinvigorated. Wonderful job, Petco!

They are rude and mistreat the small animals like hamsters and guinea pigs. They don’t clean the cat cages where the cats stay. They disrespect customers. When it comes to adopting any of the cats they don’t send it in right away they take their time. They don’t give full details of animal history at all. Purchased a item online for in store pick up. I arrive and the cashier goes to the back and comes back and says we have that product but it is under a bunch of boxes so I got something similar and cancels my order and says they won't charge my card and the pending charge will fall off the following day. I get to the car and realize it is not something similar. I return the product and ask how long the return takes to process and I get the same answer. It had been 4 days and I am still showing the charges on my account and my bank says there is no pending reversed charges. I call the store and basically get a I'm sorry and have a great day. I paid twice for a product that I do not have. If the cashier would have spent the couple of minutes getting the product I originally ordered I would have been happy.I shop at petco often and I will not be returning.
