I called in because my puppy was making weird noises, snorting, coughing and gagging. I was worried he had ingested something or had something stuck in his esophagus. When I called in they said it sounded like kennel cough and to come in through the back doors. A tech came in and got his vitals. She didn’t say a word to me. She took the vitals and left. The doctor came in 15 minutes later and told me he had kennel cough. I told her I was concerned that something was stuck. That he wasn’t sick and it had come on quickly over the last 20 minutes. She insisted I get him on antibiotics. I told her no. He wasn’t sick, that something was stuck. She told me to go see a specialist with a scope but to start him on antibiotics. I told her no, and told her I’d get a second opinion. I was charged $80 for her to listen to his heart and lungs, not listen to my concerns, and suggest antibiotics for someone who wasn’t sick, let alone a 4 month old puppy. I got a second opinion. Turns out it was reverse sneezing. Common in puppies. Nothing dangerous, just a reflex. I’m disappointed in her expertise and lack of knowledge. I am even more bothered that she tried to push me out the door with an antibiotic that he didn’t need. Don’t waste your money. Go to someone who’s educated.

Dr Moss and his staff are so wonderful! I'm leaving this review after my first visit because I want people to be aware that this level of care is available. Dr Moss is so gentle, sweet and caring. Price was very fair. I'm so glad I found this place, i recommend most highly.

This vet is by far the best vet I have ever been to. When I was younger we used to take my dog to Dr. Moss and he was always amazing, but now I take my bunnies to Dr. Moss. He is very gentle with my bunnies and is very compassionate as well. Dr. Moss is very understanding, and his WHOLE staff is AMAZING. They are so kind and nice when you walk in to the moment you walk out. Everyone acts like they have known you for years even if it's been 5 minutes. I love Dr. Moss and his entire staff and highly recommend. If you're skeptical, I would defiantly at least take your pet(s) once just to see for yourself, but I promise you'll love him and his amazing, AMAZING staff!

I've been going to Dr. Moss for 15 years, he really cares about you and more importantly your pet and it always shows. I believe it's what he looks for when he hires his staff, they are all great and since he's moved into the new building the experience is even better. He is the best Vet I've ever dealt with, and I've dealt with many. He has always worked with me financially so you know his heart is into what he does. Wish I could give him 10 stars.

I highly recommend this place, Dr. Moss is the man! I recently brought my 12 year old boxer In for what I was certain would be her last visit but rather then only giving me the option of euthanasia he offered to attempt a high risk surgery. When I brought her in the morning of her surgery Dr. Moss told me he would to do everything he possibly could to keep her alive and he absolutely did. I was blown away, I never expected these kind of results. My pup was barely alive 4 days ago and now she’s walking around, wagging her tail, happy again. I get to have my best buddy around for a while longer now and I owe it all to the phenomenal work done by Dr. Moss and his staff.

Our cocker spaniel got a horrible clipper rash from the groomer and hasn't been eating or going outside to potty for a few days. The Kaysville Veterinary Hospital got him right in when I called and told them my concerns. We didn't have to wait long even with several other patients there. Dr. Moss was so kind and gentle with our dog. He's definitely a "dog whisperer". He did a thorough exam and gave us meds to help. Our dog doesn't ever like strangers but was very calm with Dr. Moss. I'm so glad we found a local vet that really seems to care about animals.

Donna Crawford

Dr. Moss has the greatest vet ever!!! My dogs have had an awful smell for years no other vet could figure out why. First time I took them to dr. Moss he said they had a skin condition gave me some shampoo no more smell hooray!!! Very friendly staff and he is great to work with! I would recommend his office very highly!

Caitlin Bryant

I brought in my guinea pig for rectal bleeding and severe abdominal pain with a mass. Dr. Moss was able to get me in the next day for surgery! He was incredibly accommodating, understanding, and explained things terrifically. He allowed me to watch the surgery and see everything to understand the situation. Very caring and sincere, I didn’t feel like I was brushed aside because it was a guinea pig, I got the full treatment. Dr. Moss and staff are incredible, would recommend this place to anyone!!!

Maggie R

Brought my new 8 week old puppy here for her vaccinations. I could tell the dr genuinely cares about animals...I just wish you didn’t leave there without spending $300 for a routine visit! Pretty pricey but I imagine that’s most vet places.

Channing Madsen

The lady who works the front desk.. chantel? Incredibly rude. Show up for my 1st ever appointment 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork, etc. no greeting, looks at my bulldog like he’s not worth the time, helps 2 other before even saying anything to me. I hand my paperwork to her and still nothing from her. She took about 5 phone calls before helping me as well. I recommend getting a new front desk person. Not a good first impression. I’ll stick to my other vet.

Dr Moss is amazing! The most caring vet we have ever had. We drive an hour to take our 2 dogs to him. He is so caring and listens to what is wrong with your pet. My older dog has heart disease and he is so gentle and patient with her. She never leaves the visit feeling anxious our scared like she has with other vets. I trust Dr Moss and his team and know our dogs are in good hands! Thank you for your great care Kaysville Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Moss is fantastic! Very knowledgeable and helpful. We take our Russian tortoise here. He's very knowledgeable with reptiles & birds and everything in between beside your usual cat and dog expertise.

Terri Stephens

Wonderful friendly staff; so great with our cat! Dr. Moss scooped Max right up when he came into the room...you can tell he really likes animals! He took the time to explain why Max's leg kept getting infected and clearly gave us two options for treatment. So glad we found this hospital! Oh, and a bonus...Dr. Moss has a wonderful British accent!

Dr. Moss is the best vet this side of the US, he is super knowledgeable and empathetic. You will not be disappointed by how your loved pets are treated here.

Deanna Creller

This was the first time my husband and I met Dr Moss. We brought our new Chihuahua puppy in to find out what was wrong with her. Unfortunately she had water on her brain and had to be uthenized. Dr Moss was quick with the diagnoses. Dr Moss was up front, honest, and very compasdionate and caring. He truly cares for you and your pets. He didn't charge us for unnecessary tests, etc. He also had a back door put in for the sad and unfortunate visits. My husband and I are very touched, pleased, and satisfied with Dr Moss and his staff. They treated us with honesty, compassion, and friendliness. We give Dr Moss and his staff a 5 STAR RATEING. WE will definitely be back with our Husky. Thank-You Dr Moss and Staff for honesty,, kindness and compassion. The Crellers

Dr. Moss is the first and only vet I've ever been to with any of my pets, and I've only been there a few times, but I'm always very impressed with their clinic and the care they give. Dr. Moss cares about helping the pets just as much as their owners, and has been a lot of help to me and my hedgehog. The staff are friendly and helpful too, and overall the clinic has a very welcoming feel.

I brought my dog in this morning for help in removing a medicine patch from a surgery last week. My dog had major surgery a week ago in Midvale and I'm staying with my parents so they can keep an eye on him while I work. His medication patch was supposed to come off last night, but he SCREAMED when I tried to remove it. After verifying with my vet (now too far away since I'm at my parents' house) that it could stay on an extra night, I turned for help. Even though I had no appointment and will not be a regular client he was very helpful. Unfortunately my dog had had too much of vets for the last two months and snarled and growled at the technician who tried to take his temperature. They still worked with us, though, and gave my dog a tranquilizer so the medicine patch could be removed. I don't think I could have done it on my own because the adhesive from the bandage had adhered to his skin too much. THANK YOU.

It took us awhile to find a great Vet... We tried a few other places before we ended up here. Fantastic office staff. I have a lot of confidence in these animal lovers... It's worth the drive from Ogden.

Michael Slade

Dr. Moss is fantastic! Very caring towards animals and people. I trust him completely and have learned much from him. The other vet (Dr. H?) is somewhat condescending but also knowledgeable.

Chris Corey

The got me in for my dog's puncture wound when my regular vet couldn't on short notice. Unfortunately that is the extent of the nice thing I have to say. We waited for over an hour to see the vet, which would be fine if they were busy, but we were the only people there! When he finally did waltz in, he looked at my dog from across the room (did not examine him or touch him in any way), wrote an antibiotic script, and walked out. $200 dollars is a lot to pay for what little we got. And then a month later they contacted us to say he needed to come in for a teeth cleaning! It's a pretty neat trick to know if a teeth cleaning is needed just by looking at a dog from across the room

Kyllie Fry

Dr. Moss is awesome. Very trustworthy and knowledgeable vet. The prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for!

Chelsea Merritt

Had a bit of an emergency with my cat, he started Urinating blood late Friday night and my regular vet was too full to get us in Saturday but helped me find Kaysville Clinic. They saw us even though they were closing, thankfully having a urine sample ready for them helped but they were super nice and great and very reasonably priced! Definitely keeping them as a second vet <3

Dr. Moss and his assistants have always been very kind and caring when we've brought in our bearded dragon and has so far helped him recover from tail rot and torn ear drums. We feel confident in the support we'll get and will definitely be coming back if any of our pets experience injuries or illness in the future

Incredible vet! Dr. Moss is one of the few vets I trust my service dog with when it comes to vet care! He always makes sure you understand everything, and puts your dog or pet first. Hes not in it for the money, but because he cares! Hes saved my dogs life (and thus mine) many times

Lexy S.

Dr. Moss is one of the best vet's I have ever gone to. I brought my savannah monitor in for a concerning toe and he let me know what to look for, watch for, and if it would get more concerning. Now my sweet baby boy is recovering and I feel better about his care.

Jessica Barnes

These guys are incredibly. I went in for a second opinion and they will forever be my first opinion from now on! Dr Moss helped save my sweet 13 year old for baby's eye. They are so knowledge and compassionate. I can't stop telling friends and family how wonderful they are!!

I couldn't get in with the place I used (notice the past tense), to frequent for vet appointments, (Fairfield). I had to get my cat in today! She has an abscessed tooth that is very badly infected. Dr. Moss was thural and gave us all options! He gave us options instead of demanding we do it one way or the highway. This was a true blessing being the season it is. I was extremely impressed right from the start. When we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and cute environment, to the candle and a sign on the desk that asked if you saw the candle lit, know someone is saying goodbye to their pet and please be respectful. I loved this, and had never seen this before. I will never look back! Dr Moss is our new Vet for all our needs. Thank you Kaysville Veterinarian!!!! Your new favorite clients.

I love Dr. Moss and his staff. He truly cares about the animals and is very gentle. I brought in my bearded dragon who was very skittish, and he was able to calm him down to do a full examination on him. The time and effort they put into every patient astounds me. The only slight downside is that they are more expensive, but the care is well worth the price.

Terra Mckay

Dr. Moss is the best veterinarian I have ever known. He treats my dog with love and respect. He cares as much about my dog as I do. He takes the time to get to know you and your pet. He shows you all the options and lets you make the decision. Very knowledgeable. Comfortable atmosphere. Everyone there is friendly. Excellent Service.

My dog was limping for three days. He would not let me look at it, let alone touch it. Took him to dr moss. He was able to look at his paw for a second before my dog yanked it away from his grip. Dr moss claimed he saw that it was all red and infected around his big pad. Didn't take his temperature or anything. Didn't try to use other methods to take a better, longer look at his paw. Prescribed ear drops to rub all around the big pad and some pills that he said might cause extreme thirst ( some dogs will pee in the house he warned). Came home. With my husband's help and after a l lot of time of cajoling and effort, to put the ear drops on his paw, i finally have him let me look at the paw for the first time very thoroughly. And there were no open sores, nothing was red or infected around his big pad or anywhere! His paw and the pads were in perfect, normal condition. I called his hospital. Through a staff member, he refused to give me a refund. He could not even talk to me directly. No apologies for the misdiagnosis. It was $156. I asked a neighbor. She had taken her dog for anal gland problems before dr moss moved into the fancy new building. He only prescribed antibiotics. It didn't work. So after a while she took her dog to bayview hospital. They got right down to the glands and took care of them and put antibiotics on. She was cured. I wonder if dr moss would have done the same thing to his own dog. The whole episode makes me shudder. Especially when I realized i almost gave my precious dog the strong pills for no reason whatsoever. I can't stop telling my neighbors, family, and freinds how terrible they are. Through a staff member he also told me to use the antibiotics for other infections. And should i also use the ear drops for my ears in the future?

Dr. Moss and staff are excellent! Great sense of humor and a sincere concern for our pets. We have brought dogs and exotic birds here and they go above and beyond, especially on some of our most difficult days.

This was the first time I had met Dr. Moss, and he was The best vet that I have been to, the staff is very nice, and knowledgeable. I had to take my baby girl (leopard gecko) in because she prolapsed, and it was bad. He gave me all of my options, and was really gentle with her when he was examining her. He took time to listen, and wanted what was best for me, and my gecko. What was best ended up euthanizing her, and he seemed just as heart broken as we were. He had cleaned out her little container that we brought in and put her on a nice, clean paper towel. He walked me through all the steps and helped me understand that she wouldn't be in pain anymore. He was also very very willing to work on price with me, It costed me about 100 dollars because he didn't add the examination fee. I would recommend him to anyone who cares about their animal, he knows what he is doing, and he is very caring. 20/10

Completely loved this Dr. Felt he was completely up front and honest. Spouse Called today because we have an old critter that needs help. I just feel people don't hear, we need a mobile vet! Not someone that tells you an appointment time when you just have explained the situation. A referral please, instead of being only about "you"! Where is the compassion?

My two dogs have been to dr. Moss a few times. My boxer is very nervous and Dr. Moss takes the time to let my pup get calm around him. No vet has ever done that before. He removed a tumor from my boxers neck and kept me updated to know how it was going. My little pup went in for a dental and had some teeth that caused some issues and Dr. Moss and his team took care of him and kept me aware of what was going on. They are just beyond amazing and I’m so lucky to have found a vet I trust to take my pups to.

Absolutely the most WONDERFUL Vet and staff. Dr. Moss is the most knowledgeable and caring vet I have ever been to. I have Dogs, birds, rodents, and small exotics and he has cared for all of them. This is true quality care, and I feel at ease when my pets need care or a check up. We adopted another pup and could receive discount veterinary services for him, but we still choose to go to Dr. Moss because we know he will take the best care of him. They are also very organized and keep us up to date with reminders.

Annabelle Milford

Most kind, caring and compassionate vet I have ever been to. He went above and beyond to help me through my dogs sickness. He would always return my calls when I had questions and truly cares not only about his patients but also the owners as well. I could always get an appointment within a day or two if not the day of! When we eventually had to put her down he let us stay as long as we needed to and even sent us a hand written card afterwards. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Moss.

jeremy D

Great staff and vet. Helped save my 20+ yr old ball python who we discovered had developed a liver cyst. If you have a reptile this is the vet to take them too.
