This place is awesome. The staff here are really great. We have an elderly dog and for a minute there we visited this place pretty frequently. They are always so nice and gentle to my baby girl. They've treated her for everything from vaccines to tummy viruses and recently some foxtails that got stuck in her foot. When I call for advice they are straightforward and honest with me letting me know the services that they can and cannot provide. And if they can't provide something that we need they always refer us to other great vets in the area. I feel very safe and knowing that my baby girl is in kind competent hands. If they see this comment I really hope they know how much we appreciate their hard work.

Holladay Vet hospital was very patient and graceful when diagnosing our 11 year old dog with cancer. Ww called them like 10 times and asked 1000 questions afterwards and they answered every question before we brought him back to be put down. They let us take all the time we needed and were so kind to us and our dog. They even sent us a card afterwards expressing their condolences. Thank you for making this horrible loss a little bit easier for us.

Holladay Veterinary Hospital is easily the best place I've ever been! My grandparents and my parents have had dogs my entire life and they've taken them to various places over the years so I have experienced many different pet places. Little Freddie is mine and my husbands first puppy of our own. We rescued him not knowing his background or what to expect. I first called the vet my parents take their puppy. The place put me on hold and forgot about me for 20 minutes before I just hung up. When I called Holladay Veterinary Hostpital they picked up right away then not only scheduled our check up for him she also eased my mind with his kennel cough and other concerns. She made sure I knew what to expect and the warning signs to look for. The techs are so helpful and knowledgeable. All the doctors there are so amazing. I cant imagine taking my little man anywhere else. This puppy saved my life and I am so blessed to have great people taking care of him! I can not say enough about this place. Absolutely incredible.

Phenomenal office. We started going here when we lived in Murray after a few sub par visits to other vets. After we bought a house in Utah county we still kept coming up to Holladay because none of the vets offices in Utah county compared. We have an extremely high energy dog (Vizsla) and Dr. O does a great job with him. He just had surgery on his neck from a fox tail infection and the whole staff was incredible and they were priced fairly. Worth the drive to keep coming here.

They're all so kind, so friendly, and most important, so knowledgeable. It's a great comfort to me to know my dear old girl will get great vet care until her time comes. Thinking that this excellent and educated group of doctors and staff would get *less* than what their work is worth is NOT okay, even if it might save me some pennies. We just moved back to SLC from Nashville, TN. As always, Dr. Olchewski is the best of the best. My dogs and I love and trust her, and we’ll follow her wherever she goes! This place is good for general care. Don't call in for urgency questions because you are told "we don't have time for that". Our dog had a bladder infection and in two weeks they could see you. Next our dog had foxtail and they sent us away. But they are good at referring to other vets hospital. I sure miss the care we always got from Dr. McDonald.

I've taken my cat here for about three years now. The vets and staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and love the pets that come in to their clinic. Dr. O and Dr. Conway are fantastic and will do everything they can to make sure your pet is healthy and comfortable while in their care. They are always happy to answer questions and give you the information you need to take the best care of your pet. Scheduling appointments is easy and they will try to get you in as soon as possible. I will continue to bring my boy and any future animals that I adopt here.

Holladay Veterinary Hospital is the best! My husband and I will never take our boy anywhere else! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. They always work with us to get appointment times that work for us and if we ever need a urgent sick appointment.. they have always been quick to find us an appointment as soon as possible. Our dog always feels comfortable and never anxious about a vet visit. The vets are very knowledgeable and have always helped us get to the bottom of any of our dog’s illnesses. We first took our dog here to remove a large tumor growing on his chest and the surgery was done very well. We were impressed and have never gone any where else. Love this place- I've had 3 dogs and a cat as patients during more than a decade. The staff has always been caring and thorough. Since pets lifespans aren't as long as ours, it is unfortunate to have to say goodbye to our little furry loves. The staff here has always been sensitive to my family and our needs at these difficult times. I would recommend them. Even now, my black lab loves to come in- I love watching Dr. Pratt enjoy the dog. He always drops to the floor to pet him, rub his belly and play catch with a treat before any exam!

Recently, I was on vacation and my Great Dane sliced open her knee. I’ve already filed complaints with the BBB, the Veterinary Board of Utah, and several others after Holly Rosse, the office manager, refused to help. Not only did they harm my dog, and cancel our Paw Plan a month early, but they also want more money. During our first visit they were 90 minutes behind on appointments. When we finally saw Dr. McDonald I pointed out my older dog’s vaginal discharge and the strange cough my younger dog has. Dr. McDonald told us we should join their Paw Plan to cover all the tests she believed our dogs needed. We joined the plan and brought our dog in for a $400 ultrasound which was not covered. After the blood tests and an ultrasound, Dr. McDonald was still stumped. She rubbed my dog’s genitals with a medicated pad and sold me a $20 pack of them. I have never seen my dog in more pain. I googled the pads and they’re used for puppy acne—not genitals! It took my poor dog three days to recover from the vet rubbing this on her ONCE. Our credit card recently changed when the bank sent out new chip cards. We still owed $329 and had six visits remaining on our Paw Plan. I wrote to the clinic asking what else was covered in our Paw Plan and telling them we’d pay the remainder when we brought the dogs in for their shots. They replied that would be fine. But after thinking about the pain they’d caused my dog and how useless they’d been in treating both of them (they’re still suffering from discharge and a cough), I realized I’d rather take them to a different vet who might be able to help. I wrote to tell the clinic I was unhappy with their lack of insight and results, and asked if we could end our Paw Plan without paying the $329 and cancelling our six remaining visits. Instead of working with me on a resolution, Holly Rosse cancelled the plan—something I did not request. I planned to pay it and bring my dogs in for their latest shots and heartworm tests (as covered by the Paw Plan) if they refused to end it early. I called Holly after she sent a very long and angry email. I told her we’d be willing to pay the $329 and bring our dogs in for their yearly shots and tests. She refused to allow our dogs to return, yet insisted we still pay the $329. After spending more than $880, we still have no resolution for our dogs' issues. Our contract says the clinic can’t terminate it and still request money. This has all been extremely disappointing and just plain bonkers.

We have used this Veterinary Hospital for our sweet puppy since we got her in 2018. She has had regular check-ups, shots, and was spayed here as well. We are very impressed with the staff and how they truly care for all animals. We happened to have a couple of experiences that were initially concerning, but received a very personalized and immediate response after giving feedback on a survey. We can tell that they really listen to their human clients, too! We are very pleased with the care our dog received before, during, and after her spay surgery. It is also super convenient to be able to get medications and other OTC products here at the same time.

They also have multiple care plans for all different needs to help save you money on all of the pet needs. We got a plan the took care of all the vaccines, de-wormer, visits, and spaying a new kitten needs. Highly recommend this vet to everyone I meet.

I've lived in Millcreek for almost year now and I was still commuting to Bountiful to the Animal Care Center for my 3 Pomeranians and if you live in the Bountiful area they are awesome. However, this past December proved to be the breaking point for the commute for an emergency with one of my babies. After all was said and done I was directed back to SLC to have an ultra sound done anyway. SO, now being 4 months into the new year I decided I should maybe make Millcreek my actual home and find a vet closer to where I am living. I like to shop at Sprouts over in the same shopping plaza as Holladay Veterinary Hospital. I had no clue they were located there until about a week ago when I was stopping at Starbuck's (also in the same shopping strip) and saw a sign on the sidewalk that reported what their hours were. I went home, Googled vets near me and viola! I had a new doctor. Their online appointment maker site is fairly nice. However, I wish there was a way to cancel it the same way. I arrived as requested, 15 minutes early, only to discover the power had been out an hour or so earlier and their computers were down. No big deal. I had to fill out paperwork anyway. We were escorted into a room. Morgan, a vet tech came in and took all my information about my dogs. A few minutes later Dr. Yoshimoto (I know I haven't got her name right) came in and was awesome with my "kids". I needed a vaccine and I thought my Josi was in bad shape with her mouth and needed a desperate dental cleaning. As it turns out my oldest pom, Henry is the worst of the three but Baxter actually has a molar completely broken off. I need to digress a little bit into Pet Insurance right here if I may? I had pet health insurance last year for all 3 of them. It cost me about $160-$170 a month. It included a wellness plan so I got all vaccines covered. This year they doubled their rates on me and their explanation as to why made sense but I can't afford DOUBLE so I canceled it. Holladay VH offers Paw Plans that are 3 different levels of coverage and cost. I signed up for the highest plan for each of my dogs which is about $75 a month. It covers everything I need and want. They didn't even have a sales pitch I just picked up a brochure in the room and read about it. Now, after all of that, I've got a nice vet, the cost is about the same as it was in Bountiful, I have a plan that works for us and I feel good. Two things I wonder about tho' in this office. First, they are still running on Windows XP which was all the way back to 2001 almost 20 years ago now. I guess if still works then use it. The second thing I noticed as I walked in the door was all the paper files for patients. My own personal medical doctor still had paper files until she was forced to move elsewhere and now she uses a laptop. I just hope there will never be a fire or flood and that it is all backed up somewhere off site. Everything was awesome across the board. I am truly happy! I can never do too much for my dogs, ever. Unconditional love is hard to come by you know? :)

She still loves to go.. they treat her as if she is their own.Always clean and so professional. I live in Sandy but go the distance for Elfie to have what I feel is best medical care in the Valley. OMGOODNESS!! I have nothing but AMAZing things to say about this hospital!! I started taking my animals here when it was still on State Street. I was more than happy to follow them when they moved to this location. I have always liked the way that ALL not just a few, but ALL of the staff has a warm welcome. Always inviting to my animals. Even when I am early and let them know i'm ok waiting they always put me in a room, no matter what. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! A few years ago, my soulmate, Max, was diagnosed with an agressive form of cancer. Dr. McDonald, was amazing, throught the year and a half that we battled with this disgusting disease. It was nice to see someone who was more interested in the animal and person than the money that was coming throught the door. Max got to the point where he liked Dr. McDonald. She always had a treat and a kind hand when he came to see her. She was even able to help me see that he had fought a good battle and it was time for him to move on to his next stage. She gave me the number for an amazing soul who could come into my home and gently help us send him over the Rainbow Bridge. It was because of Dr. McDonald that I feel that I did all I could for my little man. I will forever remember how she was with him and I both. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I will forever take my animals here if they keep employing the type of people they have there now!!

These guys are great; I've seen several of the vets here with my dog, and all are kind, compassionate, professional, and clearly know their stuff and care about their patients. What makes them a particularly great option in my mind is their hours and their availability. Twice now my dog's had issues or injuries come up, and I've been able to walk in here without an appointment and see someone right away. Yesterday my dog managed to break one of her claws pretty badly while playing at doggy daycare; the folks at the daycare called me in, and gave me a card for a local emergency vet they recommended, since it was a weekend and outside business hours. I knew Holladay vet was open though, because their weekend hours are AMAZING, and drove straight over there to see if a tech might be available to take a look at my dog. The person on reception quickly checked for us and took my dog back to be seen... a short time later, my regular vet came out with my dog, her foot neatly bandaged, and gave us the lowdown on what we need to do for continuing care. They not only didn't charge us an emergency visit fee for stopping in without an appointment, they actually charged us less than a regular office visit, and it kind of sounded like everybody in the office was involved in distracting my dog while the vet worked. :D I can't say enough complimentary things about this office and everyone who works there, and even my dog who is generally timid around strangers seems to love everybody here. (Her biggest problem with a vet exam is me keeping her from incessantly licking the vet's face. :D)

I want everyone to know how kind the clinic was to me and my boys when we drove there in a panic on a Sunday because our cat was severely injured. They were looking for me as I drove up, came out to meet me at my car and treated us with compassion and concern. Our cat had unfortunately passed on our drive there. I don't usually leave reviews, but I want others to know that based on my experience today with this tragic event, I would highly recommend this veterinarian hospital to anyone who wants loving people caring for their animals.

Prices are very high. But my main concern is that when I went to have my dogs tail examined for "happy tail" he was sent home with a shaved tail and my told to take a picture of the ointment he is suppose to get, however that ointment requires a prescription. We found an ointment at a local store and I called the office a few days later to follow up because it was getting worse and not improving. I am still waiting for the call back.

This is the best vetrinary hospital I’ve been to with my English bulldog. We go to whichever doctor is available and they are all amazing. We started going when she was about 2 years old after trying other places. They teach me so much about her every time I take her in, each doctor takes the time to explain any issues and what caused them and how to prevent them. Also all of the techs and front desk staff are amazing, they are so sweet to Beatrice, she loves going to the vet, lol. I'm thankful for the doctors here. Our pet got stung by a bee, and they were quick to inspect the wound, diagnose the situation, and give the proper treatment. The vet was very kind and spent time with us to explain the problem and what to expect with healing.

My furry family and myself have been around this clinic for a long time….”Holladay Veterinary Clinic” (where we were very happy and fortunate to meet Dr. Pratt!), “All About Pets”, and now “Holliday Veterinary Hospital”. Whatever the name has been, this place has always been like our “home away from home”; when I come to the clinic with one, or all of my furry kids, the feeling of being welcomed as part of a family is so comfortable, all of the staff is always willing to share with us the happy, and in so many occasions, the sad moments too. Dr. Pratt has been our “primary family physician” probably for around 20 years (it has been so long I had lost count), but when he is out on vacation or seminars any other doctor from the staff is always more than happy to see my furry kids in emergency need. We have known many of the techs and groomers for many, many years and all have become part of our family, as well as the new comers from the merge. All doctors, technicians and groomers are always happy, caring and concerned when needed; and the manager, Holly, is the best of the best!!! Besides ALWAYS being friendly and VERY caring, the whole staff at HVH is also very professional and knowledgeable, I will never trade them!!! Thank you HVH for always being there for us! Our love to all of you!!!

I've been taking my several dogs to Holladay Vet for a few years now and they are wonderful. I love their entire staff - the front desk, the techs and the vets. I've seen Dr Olschewski and Dr DeSocio the most often and they're the best. They truly care about my dogs. If I'm there with one, they'll remember another one of my dogs and ask about them. Yes, each visit is pricey, but all vets are. Dr. O took the time to call pharmacies in the area to find the cheapest place I can get meds for one of my dogs. I've seen the rest of the vets too and they're all great. And the vet techs and the ladies at the front desk, all are so nice and empathetic. Its never fun to have to see the vets with your pets but they make it a more pleasant experience.

The only reason I'm going to the vet hospital is for Dr Conway. I followed her from another vet hospital. She is wonderful. She took care of my sick older dog last year and when it was time, helped me send him to heaven. Now I'm taking my puppy to her. She truly cares about my pets, and me, and takes extra time to answer all my crazy questions. I'm so very grateful for her. As for the rest of the hospital, the prices are on the higher side-they charged me $22 for a nail trim yesterday. I have also heard the vet techs in the back talk bad about my puppy multiple times. She's a puppy, of course she isn't going to sit perfectly for a nail trim. She's still learning. Also, when I picked her up after her spay I heard the tech tell my puppy to "stop being weird" when she was getting her out of the kennel. When they have these feelings towards animals, these poor animals can feel this and will be fearful. I expect more from a place that charges so much. They should be treating my dog with love and kindness. At ALL times.

I'm just really confused how the vet who saw my dog thought a block of wood in her stomach, was her kidney that had fallen down. My dog ended up needing emergency surgery, because she had something stuck in her stomach. You guys over looked that, thinking it was her kidney in her stomach ?!!!! How disturbing to know my dog wouldve died if Iet you guys keep her the 12 hrs you wanted to- just to give her liquids to hydrate her LIKE THE FIRST VET!!! because you thought she was only dehydrated?!??!! And I would've had to pay for it too. I would've paid for my dog to die. Do not go here.

Don't be fooled. These people may seem friendly but they are manipulative crooks, and they take advantage of senior citizens. I have watched them suck an insane amount of money out of my grandpa. They will price gouge you on every possible thing they can think of, charge you nearly $300 just for a physical exam. They will sell you cheap fixes, so that you will keep coming in to buy more and more and more. They want my grandpa to spend 150$ a month to keep our dog from itching. They will let your pet suffer for their own benefit. BEWARE! We have spent ridiculous amounts of money and nothing is better at all, our dog is still in pain. They claim to know nothing about the year round shot (NOT Cytopoint you MORON) that my own uncle got for his dogs itching. They must have better veterinary standards in Las Vegas, that is where my uncle lives. So get this, If i spend the money on gas to drive my dog all the way down to Nevada to get a 100$ year round shot, I'd be spending about $300 compared to coming in for shots every other month for a year and spending about 1200$!!! GUESS I WILL DO JUST THAT! I hope you people see this, We discussed this earlier on the phone. We will NOT be back. Thanks for NOTHING! UPDATE TO YOUR WORTHLESS RESPONSE: The Cytopoint injection is the cheap version that lasts 4 to 6 weeks. That's the cheap stuff you'e trying to fool us with that lasts the same amount of time that the overpriced pills last SAME PRICE! GOING TO NEVADA TO GET THE BETTER STUFF. YOU PEOPLE ARE TRASH! I hope your garbage business FAILS and all your staff starve! They deserve it for jacking up senior citizens with giant bills, and abusing animals. Yes, you abuse animals, despite the fact that you use them to make more money than you deserve, I've read your other reviews on facebook and yelp about how you mistreat other peoples animals while in your care. We recently had our puppy neutered there, and when we had concerns they were able to see us quickly and helped us stop things from turning for the worse. I have had visits with each veterinarian and have felt them all to be very competent, kind, and caring. I feel like my puppers is a rock star when we walk in, all the staff treat him so well. ❤️

Update: Dorian Tate needed dental surgery and ended up having most of his teeth removed. Dr. O was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't be more pleased. They made sure he was very comfortable and he is doing amazing. I brought my cat in over the weekend to look at a dental issue. The staff was very friendly and clear about the cost of the services. They were also gentle and compassionate with my pet. Dorian Tate will definitely be going back for future services. I was very impressed!

The staff was extremely sweet and I had a great experience. They got me in the same day, when nowhere else had openings and put us directly into a room away from the main traffic. My dog gets nervous around other animals so taking her to the vet can bring about some level of anxiety but the way they handles it provided to relieve a bunch of stress. got us ri Dr. Christene Olschewski was so sweet and informative and made the experience fantastic. She was very personable and sat on the ground petting my dog making her feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend this vet. The vet tech also was extremely nice and informative.

I am so very impressed at the Holladay Veterinary Team, especially Dr. Pratt with his demeanor and knowledge. If you are looking for a caring, knowledgeable, friendly vet, I highly recommend Holladay Veterinary. Dr. Pratt and his team are wonderful. I was unsure of a diagnosis from my usual vet regarding a broken tooth in my 9 y/o boxer and wanted a local vet who had additional dental training and found Dr. Pratt at Holladay Veterinary and he definitely fit the bill. Called late Friday and got a Saturday 9a appointment! I can’t believe we were able to get an appt. that fast, especially on a Saturday morning. Even better, they are open seven days a week 7a-8p. The location and hours are convenient, the facility is clean and welcoming and I got right into a treatment room. In the first five minutes I was with the vet tech, I was so impressed with her knowledge and the way she interacted with my dog. Teeth are a hard thing to examine in a dog! Shortly thereafter, Dr. Pratt joined us and examined my dog as well – not only his teeth but a general well-checkup on his eyes, ears, hips/joints, etc. He is very nice, personable and was very caring towards my dog – allowing all the kisses and sniffs that come with meeting someone new. Dr. Pratt spent time explaining the dental issue, what needed to be done to correct it and then answering all of my questions (which were a lot). I never felt rushed and he was very thorough. We had dental surgery and Dr. Pratt kept us in the loop throughout the day and upon pick-up we met with him once again to go over the procedure performed and aftercare. Prices are competitive, if not less than other vets out there. I am not one to shop for a cheap price when it comes to my dogs – whatever it takes is what I’ll pay, so this wasn't the reason I sought their services. It was a nice surprise, however. I am so very impressed at the Holladay Veterinary Team, especially Dr. Pratt with his demeanor and knowledge. If you are looking for a caring, knowledgeable, friendly vet, definitely visit Dr. Prat and Holladay Veterinary.

Prices are high, can hardly ever get an appointment at last minute with my sick pet, the manager can be rude at times. All the vets are knowledgable, except the young ones want to run every test possible for diagnosis, when the older and more experienced vets don't need to do that. I would like to start by saying many of my experiences with Holladay Veterinary have been really great. Dr. DeSocio is very knowledgeable and professional in his field and I always feel my dog is in good hands with his care. I also enjoy the PAW Plan which makes it a viable option for me to take advantage of services for my dog that I normally would have trouble affording. Speaking to that brings me to my reason for 2 stars. This begins back on 9/15, when I took my dog in for her annual vaccinations as well as I wanted some skin irritations to be looked at, and get a consultation for a future dental cleaning. I was seen by Dr. Olschewski. She was very professional, but upon reviewing my dog's skin irritations, she recommended a skin cytology along with an allergy shampoo, and a dog cone to go home with. I initially declined the following options because it was not financially possible at the moment (I had signed up for the PAW Plan at the end of the appointment after paying the visit costs), however I felt very pressured by Dr. O to purchase the shampoo and the dog cone during the visit, but I still declined. For the dental evaluation Dr. O recommended that my dog (who is younger than 2) needs to have extractions on her smaller incisor teeth, which are only slightly crooked from how they grew in. Fast forward to October 31st. I had a dental cleaning appointment scheduled for my dog. I had also moved my work schedule around since they were closing early that day for the holiday. I had previously requested Dr. DeSocio for the cleaning but he was out of office, so the next available vet provided was Dr. Olschewski. I brought my dog in at around 7:15am, spoke with the vet assistant who gave me the rundown and estimated cost. Upon reviewing the cost, I noticed that there were 3 extractions included, one molar and two incisors. I informed the assistant that unless my dog's teeth are absolutely going to impact her way of life at this time, I do not want the teeth removed. She has not had any trouble whatsoever with eating and playing. After that, I left home to get ready for work. Not 10 minutes go by since leaving the vet and I receive a phone call from Dr. O, and she began to explain to me that she now saw 4 of my dog's incisors she feels need to be removed, without doing anything x-rays. I reiterated my point that I did not want her teeth removed and only wanted the dental cleaning. Dr. O then proceeded to tell me that the cleaning would not be done and recommended that I go see the surrounding area's veterinary dentist to see if the teeth can be saved (via dog braces which range $1-$4k in cost). I asked if the cleaning could still be done and was informed that the cleaning would need to have my dog under anesthesia, and by going to see the vet dentist may also require a separate round of anesthesia, but there was no guarantee the two rounds would be in close time proximity, so Dr. O did not want to do the dental cleaning either. Included with the PAW Plan that I was now enrolled in, there was also a bloodwork panel that could be done that I also wanted to take advantage of for my dog's health overall (which would be good to have aside from the dental cleaning). Dr. O also would not do the bloodwork since she wanted to wait for the dental cleaning to do that. Now I have no dental cleaning being done, which was the original reason for the appointment, I also have no bloodwork being done. What ended up being done was the skin cytology for the prior irritations that had not gone away and $131 later I had antibiotics, and two different allergy products to help with the irritations. My biggest frustration is I didn't even get the service I originally scheduled the appointment for, that I had to personally work around with my job, and during every interaction I've had with Dr. Olschewski I have always felt pressured into procedures or products that I did not want or could not afford at the time. I really enjoy coming to Holladay Veterinary, but I will no longer be seeing this vet in particular.

Went here because my usual vet was out of town. Friendly staff, however, my issue falls with not being told of extra charges. Went in expecting to pay for a physical along with the $25 first time discount for a total of $32 and got hit with an extra $66 charge for a skin scraping that the doctor never informed us about costing extra. All he said was "I'm going to check something, to rule something out" walked out and came back a few minutes later to start scraping some skin. Didn't find out about the cost till I received the bill upon leaving. Of course I'm always willing to pay for my pets' good health, but the point is that this establishment is not transparent and upfront with what they are going to do and what they are going to charge.
