I love the staff at Bayview Animal Hospital. We have always been able to get an appointment quickly when needed. Several times I have called and they've been able to get us in within an hour for an appointment. We have never waited longer than five minutes to go back to the exam room, and usually less than that. The staff here is wonderful, remembers details about our dog, and the price has always been great. Anytime someone asks me for a vet recommendation, I'm happy to refer them to Bayview.

I was pretty angry with Dr. White after we put our mini schnauzer to sleep. I still think some things were handled very poorly there - HOWEVER. Since then I have been to quite a few vets with our new dog. We've been traveling, and she's seen seven different doctors. We've had lots of issues with incompetence making matters worse. Dr. White is EXTREMELY competent. A part of me wants to fly back just to have him see her. I suppose I was spoiled all those years thinking that his care was standard. It isn't. He's a rare talent, and while I may never be able to face him again - he's very good at fixing health issues (when there is a fix) on the first try. Haven't had anyone repeat that yet.

My sweet Cocker Spaniel, my best friend had so many abscess teeth, his face swelled up and he quit eating. He's 12 and in Cocker spaniel years from my expirence they only live until about 12 or 13. From quotes from other vets in the $$$$ I thought I was going to have to put my best friend to sleep. I had already started the painful mourning process. I would never let him suffer. We found him from my moms friend and my dogs groomer. My mom had taken a poor cat into him in a bad way, he wasn't even hers and he put him to sleep for no charge. That's the kind of vet you want. One that actually cares about animals, not just the money. He was able to do the surgery for a reasonable price and work with me on payment. He came home with a skip in his step, he was like a pup all over again. I could not be more thankful for their kindness. I wouldn't be laying here with my boy right now if it wasn't for them. I will be forever grateful!!! I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you again!!!

Bayview has been our choice for pet care over the years and will continue caring for our pets in the future. Our drive takes us past several vet clinics, however, we would never consider another clinic as Bayview has always treated our pets with kindness, compassion and quality care. They excel at treating short nose breeds such as our pugs and boxers. Treatment from immunizations, spaying/neutering, wounds, allergies and gentle last goodbyes have all been a positive experience. I first starting going to Dr White after his father retired over 25 years ago and I have referred many of my friends and family to him because I trust him completely with my pets. Every time I have taken my pet to him with some strange illness, he has known what the issue was. He has saved the life of my pets several times through the years and helped me through the process of loss. I also have seen Dr Norman and highly recommend him. He saved my dog Buster's life when he had a twisted stomach. which was amazing because the survival rate is very low for this type of problem. He is also very kind and caring to your animal. I can't give enough praises to this group of Vets! Go once and you will never go anywhere else...There at Bayview Animal Hospital, they are there for you and your pet...not the money!

My dog became sick and I took him to a vet in Kaysville. We decided we wanted another opinion and took him to Dr. Cade Norman. He was SOOO good. I could not believe how caring and genuine he was about my dog. He was detailed oriented and sincere. He called me after he ran some tests and was just awesome. We ended up needing to put him down and Dr. Norman was incredible. He got down on the floor with my dog and was so sweet. He explained things well and so so kind. It was an awful experience but Dr. Norman made it as easy as it could be. The very VERY best!!

I have English Bulldogs, i won't go anywhere else. Bayview is knowledgable with this breed where most fail because of knowledge and experience. Where Bayview excels. Dr. Norman is by far the best English Bulldog Vet in my area I travel from Roy Utah to Farmington for every need I have with my squishy faced bundles of joy. To say the least with this breeds history of health issues can be un nerving. Not knowing what is what can be stressful. I trust no one more than Dr. Norman as well as the other doc's there. The staff is very attentive aswell. I highly recommend Bayview pet Hospital.

Dr. Smart is great! Very personable and answered all of my questions. She even covered information I didn't even think of. Our Frenchie had to get the Stenotic Nares and Soft Palate Resection surgeries. I was worried about my fur baby but they went perfectly. He is breathing better than ever now. So glad we had it done. They were recommended to us by a neighbor and were the cheapest out of several vets we checked with.

During our over 4 decades of marriage, because we always get rescue dogs, we've had to euthanize about 10 dogs. Dr White and Dr Smart are always kind to our dogs and accommodating to our concerns. Every time in the past that we've had to euthanize a pet, it's been perfunctory. Dr White and his staff were sensitive, addressed our concerns, and eased our minds. They put us in a room away from the others and Dr White gave Toby (our little doxie) a shot of a sedative to help him go to sleep. My wife cradled Toby in her arms and rocked him as he went to sleep. Once asleep, Dr. White brought in a nice blanket, and, after we lay Toby on it, gave him another shot. It was a very peaceful passing for Toby. We watched him as he slowly, over about ten minutes, breathed more and more shallow. When he had passed, Dr. White came in and spoke with us, then he wrapped Toby in the blanket and took him away. I can't imagine how it could have been a more peaceful or sweeter experience. Thank you, Dr White and staff for your kindness and understanding.

Took our 3 month old puppy in because he was lethargic. Dr. Smart told us he had neurological damage and that if it were her dog she'd put him down. We could hear it and chose a different approach and he made it. We later took him to Fairfield Veterinary in Layton who told us he was merely hypoglycemic (common for toy poodles) which made sense why the sugar water he was on "cured" him. Not only this, but our puppies mom (owned by someone else) was also taken there and Dr. Smart misdiagnosed her with cancer when they later found out she was merely pregnant! This Dr shouldn't be practicing with these kinds of mistakes! This is sad because we hear Dr White is so great. Never going back there again!

I've been dealing with Dr White and staff for over 35 years. I've on occasion used some other vets because of previous history of the animal. This last situation with the nueter of my Pomeranian was as usual without problems. They called and let me know of the favorable outcome right after the procedure. My thanks to them for their great efforts. My only problem was weeks after when I was registering the chip and noticed a charge for $85.50 for hospitalization overnight. When I asked about the charges beforehand it was offered that I could bring him in the afternoon before so they could start early . I live up in the mountains in the summer months and it was not convenient for me to bring him in early. My observation is that make sure you question every detail of what you are having done to minimize a $$ issue like this.

There wonderful !! I'm not easily impressed and am often annoyed and don't feel I get what I pay for in many situations in life. Bayview has helped me though many and all sorts of different animal situations thoughout my life. Most amazing was they saved our puppy from dieing of parvo. Recently helped me cope with me sugar glider having cancer. Also saved my favorite pet rat when I was younger from lung infection he lived 6 years. They have never put a price tag that would ruin my life on any treatment or racked up extra unexpected cost on my bill, I really trust them.

First the good: I called and got an appointment same day. Girls were nice upfront and vet was knowledgeable. The not so good: Sticker shock! The vet did not explain any treatment options to me, simply said she needed this and that and a shot and didn't ask for permission or explain how much it would all be. They never gave me anybprice match options like other people had mentioned. Simply handed things to the front desk and rang me up. Well $200 later my dogs ear infection "should be better". One of the two creams was $60 alone. Found online for about half that when I got home. The funniest part, to me, which accentuated the " nickle & dimed" feeling was they charged me $6 because my dog went to the bathroom and they cleaned it up!! They even said, "Oh don't worry, it happens all the time, we're used to it" as they should be. But still, really?! I've been to many offices and have never seen that charge. Overall the care was good, but I felt a little plowed over as to treatment options and having costs flung at me without consent.

It was so hard when my dog fainted and wouldn't eat and was very tired all the time. I made an appointment and I can't believe how amazing everyone was. They thought she might have diabetes and took her blood. The Dr called in a couple days and was so caring. I love Bayview Animal Hospital! The doctors are so great and knowledgeable. They know just how to treat our pet mini-schnauzer, and it is a great place to be! My dog had cut his leg hunting very badly and we took him to Bayview to see what they could do. Dr. White and all of the staff were VERY helpful. They were very cautious to make sure that the cut didn't get infected and would heal correctly. Dr. White went above and beyond to make sure our dog's leg was going to heal. They were amazing and made us feel very comfortable that our dog would heal correctly and right over time. Its that type of care that gave us peace of mind when it came to our dog. I've been here a half dozen times now and feel confident saying the vets here do not know how to manage their patient load. I've never been seen less than a half hour past my appointment and once waited an hour past an appointment that took less than 5 minutes. The fees are reasonable compared to other vets I've been to but I wonder if the trade off is quality. I had a cat declared here and had to bring him in for 2 follow up surgeries when the vet failed to remove all the nail.

Our Labrador had been suffering with a terrible skin condition (constant itching and biting himself) since the early spring. He was losing his hair, was raw, infected, swolllen beyond belief, and he was barely able to walk. After numerous expensive anti-itch/allergy medications and shots and instructions to wash him daily with expensive anti-itch shampoo and conditioners, he almost died. His condition was so bad that we brought him in to discuss putting him down. “I don’t know what it is” “Let’s hope it gets better in winter” were the words we were told. We took our dog to Kaysville Veterinary Hospital for a second opinion where Dr. Moss did a quick and thorough skin scrape which immediately showed it was scabies (mites). We saw a mite under the microscope very quickly. Dr. Moss prescribed medication that will kill the mites and our dog will be healed. It was a problem that could have been fixed months ago with a very easy 3 pill medication regimen, but instead our dog suffered needlessly, almost died from infection, and we spent significant amounts of money treating him the wrong way. I understand that skin scrapes are often not accurate, but our dog looked like the classic dog with scabies to begin with. Despite the earlier test that was negative, he could have been treated for scabies very easily and inexpensively early on to rule it out before we went down the allergy path. There is no excuse for ignoring the classic symptoms associated with scabies and treating him for that. There is also no excuse for giving him treatments that I have been told make the mites burrow deeper and make them harder to eradicate. We will not be returning to Bayview. He is incredible and he saved our dog by just being thorough and using some common sense. I’m sorry Bayview. You have been good to us over the years, but you blew this one BIG TIME and we spent tons and tons of money on stuff that was never going to work and we almost lost our dog because of your mistake.
