I discovered My Pet Butler of Abilene, TX when I was looking for a way to keep my very high energy dog from being bored when I was at work all day. My Pet Butler offers typical overnight boarding, but what I love the most is their Doggy Play Days! My dog was very socially inept and needing close supervision, and the owners and employees at My Pet Butler took the time to get to know my dog and figure out how to maximize their time with him. They spend every Doggy Play Day figuring out which dogs will get along with mine, so that he has an individualized playtime experience every day. What I also love is that any time my dog is playing with other dogs, he is being supervised the entire time so that I do not have to worry in case the dogs are not getting along! My Pet Butler has numerous fenced in and wide open pens so even a dog as big as mine (almost 80 lbs) can stretch his legs and run like he is free! Not only have I seen a social maturity with my dog, but he also learned some better manners while at Doggy Play Days – who wouldn’t love that? They also have convenient weekday hours for all those working dog and cat owners, and I love that the staff meet me right at my car in the mornings for a fast drop off! Lastly, I trust My Pet Butler so much, that I feel comfortable boarding my pets when I am traveling without having to worry, which is a very big deal to me! For any pet owner who is looking for a solution to a bored dog during the days or wanting a safe place where their dog and cat can have FUN while they’re on vacation – look no further! This is my favorite pet care place in Abilene, and I promise it will be yours too! - Annie B.

My dogs fly out of the car and through the gate at My Pet Butler. It is their home away from home. Spencer and crew are all so kind to our pets and to us, as well. I never worry a second about my three pups when MPB care. I know they will get their exercise and lots of scratching. Highly recommend. The facility is sparkling!

So happy to have found this place! I boarded my two dogs here and couldn't be happier! One of my dogs is very scared of new people and has some pretty intense separation anxiety. They were so good with Sadie! She normally is nervous when other boarders take her but she walked in like she belonged. I even got a picture of her during the day while she was being boarded, and I almost died! I was so glad to see her progress, no one else did that for us! 10/10 would recommend and use again!!

This is the best kennel I have ever used. Spencer and the ladies take excellent care of my Nellie, who can sometimes be a little quirky around people and other dogs. I trust them completely. One of the things that drew me to them is the play/outside time with the dogs. They have large areas to let the dogs exercise during their stay. Needless to say, Nellie is a fan of theirs and so are my husband and I. Thank you!

This place is THE BEST! No need to look anywhere else. We have used other kennels in the past, but a lengthy trip made us rethink about where our dogs might be best cared for and have lots of room to safely run around. We visited a couple of kennels, but never really felt the love. After finding My Pet Butler online, we applied. The application process is impressive and thorough. Although we had to take our dogs for a meet and greet because there were some concerns about their temperament, we were glad to know that Spencer is so careful with the welfare of his furry guests. Our dogs were so very, very happy with their initial visit, and since our return home, they longingly look at the car door as if they are asking if they can go back to that really fun place. I think Spencer might be a dog whisperer because our dogs' behavior has improved from their time at the Butler. Such an awesome experience. Can't say enough good things and can't say thank you enough!

Had a very positive experience with My Pet Butler. My boarding fell through in Cheyenne, Wyoming and I had scheduled to visit my mother in the area for about 10 days. My crazy 3 large dogs would have been a little much to impose. I got my dogs back with no evidence of stress. I think their prices are reasonable and their facility is immaculate. Spencer and his staff are friendly and accommodating. They are open 7 days a week which works out well for needed to pick up Sundays

Fantastic service and flexibility. I needed a place for my dog to stay while we visited the zoo and Spencer was WONDERFUL! I dropped Roscoe off, he met Spencer's dogs and Roscoe had a great time. It was the piece of mind I had that was most important. I knew that Roscoe would be safe and happy until I could pick him up. I would definitely recommend Pet Butler to anyone with pet needs. Not only did I get great service, but Spencer was a great person. He even sent me a picture of Roscoe! Absolutely the best service in my years having a dog. I wished I lived in Abilene so I could use him more often.

Spencer changed the quality of our lives and Monte's life with his pet butler service. Monte is a two year old German shorthair and requires two outings a day to be tired and obedient in our home. My husband and I are very busy, he works an irregular schedule and I am a pre-dental student at ACU. We really needed someone who could take Monte on a substantial afternoon outing and serve him dinner 5 days a week. Not only is Spencer supremely professional, punctual and organized he is also very compassionate with Monte and treats him like his own dog. Everyday we are sent a journal entry about their outing which details exactly what you would want to know. If Monte went poo, pee, if a meal was served, a package was brought in, etc. The man has customer service down and he is 100% true blue. We are grateful that such a wonderful person is with out dog-boy during this busy stage of life. We could not recommend him or his business enough.

Not only did they take care of our dogs when we boarded them but the gave them plenty of attention and helped keep up with their command training. Very knowledgeable and kind staff. This is an AMAZING place to board your animals and everyone was so very friendly. We have used this company to board all three of our animals and each time the owners have taken the time to play with a our animals and treat them as theirs. When we went to pick them up Spenser Butler knew all three of their exact personalities, down to what toys and what treats they liked. They have a water play area for dogs, and even a safe completely enclosed area outside for cats so they can get some sunshine and still be safe while they are there. Way better then any other boarding experience we have had. I will use them every single time.

We choose to evacuate Corpus Christi due to Hurricane Harvey. We drove up to Abilene to stay with friends. My two doggies, are shelter dogs with high anxiety. They were clearly, well taken care of at My Pet Butler!! They showed no signs of anxiety, just pure joy when I came to pick them up! I received a journal entry, letting me know about their fun adventure. The prices are very reasonable for excellent care!! However, as a kind gesture, we were not charged, due to our circumstances. Shep and Cynthi will certainly be back again, for another great adventure at My Pet Butler.

I have three dogs and while we were out of town Spencer took great care of them. I was able to go on line and see what time he stopped by the house and what time he left. When he stopped by to visit our dogs before the job began my dogs took to him immediately and they were happy with him during his visits because he took pictures of them and sent them to me so I could see how happy they were. We will use Spencer again when we need to go out of town.

I absolutely adore Pet Butter!!! Everyone that I met was SO friendly and gave me the activities they have for my dog, while showing us everything our pooch would be doing during her stay, especially when it comes to just being outside to run around and play!! My dog is an 80-85# Sable Shepherd but she ALSO just 10 mths old so plays like a puppy!! She LOVES to play fetch and with other dogs, and she was very well cared for during the 4-5 days she was there! They even have PICTURES of some of the dogs who board with them!! The kennel she was in was inside and she really seemed like a happy pooch when I came to pick her up!! I had some questions that were related to how I could understand her "cognitive" development, because she doesn't think like a puppy on many days, she's actually more or a reminder of our family Shepherd of 18 years, who'd passed away earlier.. She can be mischievous, sometimes stubborn, but she LOVES to play and will play fetch for hours if you let her! LOL! They were all JUST wonderful... And I was very happy that she was treated so well - - I sincerely appreciate the hard work they do and will DEFINITELY let her board at Pet Butler again!!

My wife and I went on vacation for a week and Spencer at "my pet butler" took care of our three cats. My wife always worries about the kitties and Spencer put her at ease with emails every other day reporting on their well being. Spencer also included pictures of them which really helped her while being hundreds of miles away. Overall the experience could not have been better and the price was very reasonable.
