THIS IS OUR SECOND COMMENT AND STILL LOVING THIS VET AND HIS PEOPLE!! We didn’t think that Dr. Spencer could get any better for our families Greatdanes. Now, I know we have found not just a friend, but a doctor that cares and wants to help a family with their animals. This office is so caring and understanding. They even accepted my crazy way of raising Greatdanes giving them water from the bathroom faucet when they ask for it. Having them take out their own goodies from the cupboard, (of course they open it and we having yet found a way to teach them how to close them.) Dr. Spencer just smiles and so do we. Having 3 Greatdanes is a handful. This is the first bet that I have gone to without any nervousness. Thank you THE WHOLE CREW!!! You are ALL GREAT!! THIS WAS OUR FIRST COMMENT This clinic has its own facilities "on site", for any ailment or checkup of your animal. Doctor Bret Spencer is by far one of the best veterinarinas I have had my pleasure to meet. He spends his time explaining complete procedures to you! I cannot say enough good things about this Veterinary Clinic! The people there love and take care that you have the right information. Wow! What a great place!

When we got our new puppy, we asked around for vetanerian references and recommendations. We we had a pretty clear consensus that Hooves and Paws was the place to go. We certainly have not been disappointed in those recommendations. The staff there are all so awesome and friendly. They are great to answer all of our questions and leave us feeling like they are going above and beyond our expect of our vet clinic. As a very satisfied customer, I highly recommend this place. I expect I'll be a customer for a very long time.

I've taken my dog (Heidi) twice. Once for an emergency surgery and the second for a dental. I was more than pleased with both times I took her. Everyone is so friendly and they treated her as if she was their own. My Heidi did not look scared or traumatized by the visits.

It's so weird writing a negative review for this place and seeing all the positive reviews but I took my two dogs here to try to get them established at a vet close to home. For starters, whenever I scheduled the appointment for them, they even asked about both dogs but whenever I got there, they only thought they were seeing one of them. During the check up, the vet neither examined them or talked to me about them. He didn't look at their teeth or ears or any of the things I see vets normally do. Then when it came time to do the vaccinations, I know my dogs are high energy and tense and not necessarily the easiest to handle at the vet but I don't believe they did anything to help their nervousness especially not when they had two people practically lay on my border collie. Obviously I'm not a vet but I don't think an animal being scared of a shot isn't out of the ordinary. I've seen both of them get immunizations and they had never acted like that before. Maybe I caught y'all on a bad day, but these are practically my children and the service I received was anything but satisfactory.

I can't begin to tell you how happy we are with our decision to bring our dog to Hooves and Paws and Dr. Spencer. We are in a difficult time with our older dog requiring frequent visits and hard decisions and having an empathetic and caring doctor close by has made a huge difference. Dr. Spencer and his entire staff (very important) are incredibly nice and accommodating for us and our boy. In addition the facilities are impeccably clean and modern and they are versed in all the latest therapies and treatments. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Brought in my dog for a check-up. Asked some simple questions got mostly yes/no answers when requesting guidance. Got the heart worm test and everything was normal and asked to buy Advantage Multi which i was told that they don't sell it and I should go to PetSmart or Petco. Since Hooves and Paws didn't carry it, I ordered it from Chewy and then 3 days later, the doctor rejected the order. When I called back I was told that they don't do mail order prescriptions because of "liability". If that's the case, why'd you tell me to go to PetSmart. So the reason for the 2 out of 5 stars is that none of this was information up front and I am doing the legwork. Everything else was great. Just not sure why they want to make this process difficult...

Last saturday my dog hurt his toe and needed it looked at. We called Hooves and Paws, and even though they were completely booked up, they told us to bring hi in anyway. They stayed after hours to take care of him. The office is clean and the staff are all very nice. I highly recommend Hooves and Paws to anyone needing a vet. I will definitely be back.

I took two dogs for treatment at Hooves and Paws pet Hospital. Dr. Spencer had always been great during my previous 10 visits, but it was not until I questioned him did I see the other side of this doctor. One dog needed a dental cleaning the other tooth extractions--possible 2 but could be 4 or 5 according to Dr. Spencer. He extracted 12 without notifying me in advance. The day after I picked up my dogs, I went to the office at 8 am to request radiographs because more extractions were done than I expected. I was told they would be emailed to me by "late afternoon." At 3 pm, I called to ask about the radiographs. The wrong dogs records were sent so I called again. Dr. Spencer let me know he was irritated that I had called. He ended up sending me both dogs radiographs with a voice mail saying, "it was HARLEY that had his teeth extract NOT BOO!!". He was still mixed up; Boo is the only dog that had the teeth extracted. During conversations with office staff, as well as Dr. Spencer, they continually mixed up my dogs, calling each by the other dog's name even with me asking them to correct it. Dr. Spencer blamed ME for the mix-up/communication breakdown. Dr. Spencer blamed me for two patients walking out of his waiting room because he had to stop what he was doing to help me and caused him to lose money, after I had paid him $1,300 cash. I addressed these issues and told him I didn't appreciate that he blamed me for the mix-up of my dogs' names. Only after I told him that I planned to write this review did he make a meager attempt to rectify the situation, yet never taking responsibility for the way he spoke to me. This situation could have been avoided if he had simply communicated with me instead of placing blame on me, an established customer.

My dog’s teeth have never been cleaner! The staff is skilled and patient. Just moved to the area and so happy to find Hooves and Paws. They treated me like family and took excellent care of my 13yr old Jack Russell terrier, Ella. She has bright white and shiny teeth again! They removed 3 teeth and she is feeling so much better. They are an emergency facility too and even do grooming and boarding.

I would not recommend this place for boarding your animal. Me and my husband went on a cruise and boarded our cats for 12 days. They were not fed the treats that were pre-bagged and labeled. They were not given their toys or their blanket that was packed for them. All of this was explained to the staff when we dropped them off. They were also not given the bath or the nail trimming that we requested when dropping them off and indicated on the form that was filled out upon boarding them. Upon picking them up and finding all of this out an apology was the only thing offered. I called the owner Brett Spencer and explained what happened, and all he could say was “I’m sorry.” Then when I pushed he told me to tell him what I was looking for as he had already apologized. I explained a discount for all the issues and things that were mishandled would be nice. He never offered.

Dr. Spencer is the best vet I've ever taken my almost 10 yr old pup to! We had an emergency and Dr Spencer took great care of our pup! Gave us realistic prognosis and at follow ups, loves seeing our pup doing so well! Best part, his fees are so reasonable! For an emergency visit, a full day ICU stay, 2 chest x-rays and 3 medications, it was under $400!
