Fresh and clean office area. Looks like it may be a newer building. ~Great look. *Highly recommended.

This vet hospital helped me and my dog a lot up to the very end. He had to stay overnight for 3 days and they did a bunch of extra tests for free. When it was time to go, they helped us get him cremated. I recommend this hospital to the highest degree. You are treated like family there.

This vet is the best I've ever been to. They have two excellent doctors and friendly staff. I have experience with this vet with a dog, kitten, well, sick and surgery, so I think I have a broad range of experience with them and have nothing but wonderful things to say.

I took my dog to this hospital as he was having trouble peeing. They said he had bladder stones and told me he required surgery which would cost $700 to $800. I asked if there is something we could try before surgery and they reluctantly told me that they could try food to 'dissolve' the stones. I told them I wanted to try that first. I then had a friend tell me she does not recommend this Vet so I took him to another Vet (who has 30+ years experience) that I used in the past although it was further from my home. Much to my surprise, I was told that the food Village Vet prescribed is the one to 'prevent' but not 'dissolve' the bladder stones. So, it seems to me they just want me to come back for their $800 surgery. The new Vet is going to perform surgery as the stone is larger since the food we had was not intended to help. Funny thing is this Vet is charging $300 for the surgery. Why is Village Vet charging over twice as much? I learned my lesson to travel a little bit further to get the best care for my dogs. I would not recommend this Vet, I think they are in it for the money and not for the welfare of our beloved pets. Shame on you!!!!

Great veterinary! Everyone if friendly and very helpful!

Made an appointment for 9 AM for booster shots. After taking her in I left to clean my dog's vomit out of my car saying, "I'll be right back!" to the women at the counter. Upon returning, I waited until 10:30 to ask if they were done yet, and stood in front of the lady for 10 minutes waiting on her to acknowledge me. Apparently, they hadn't started yet. All in all, I waited over 2 hours for something that took 15 minutes. I'd like to add, that the reason I will never return here is not related to the veterinarians' knowledge, rather, it is because the secretaries at the front were rather dull and were unconcerned with my wait.

I previously posted a review but I couldn't figure out how to edit it so I'm adding another review. Recently, my Chihuahua, Misty, passed away. I notified Village Vet Hospital so they could update their records. To my surprise, days later I received a sympathy card for the loss of my beloved pet. Everyone, including Dr. Ed, had signed it. That was so special to me! Though I had been going to Dr. Ed for several years, nobody there really knew me personally so it was really a shock to get the card. I will be forever grateful for their kindness. I love this place.

I have to say, today was my best experience taking my dog to the vet. I arrived 45 minutes early! We were taken back within minutes after arrival. Dr. Lehman came into exam room within minutes. My Bailey was suffering from severe skin allergies. After a shot of antibiotics & steroids, my sweet baby felt much better. We left with shampoo and apoquel. The best part was I did not have to take out a loan for payment! Very efficient and reasonable. No unnecessary tests or unnecessary extra meds. Plus they have their own pharmacy with prices as reasonable as allowed by manufacturers guidelines. I only wish I had found Village Veterinary Hospital sooner.

This is the worst place ever. We had to put our Boston Terrier to sleep on 02/09/2019, they told us it would be around $72.00 not a problem to pay it at all. My husband took her he was so distraught when he left and did not look at the receipt, he just handed over his debit card, when he got home I realized they charged us extra for an exam which she did not have before they put her to sleep, the vet lied and said he examined her before he would give her the shots and he did not, he came in and gave her the shots and she was gone. He lied about the exam and charged for the extra fee. I called and talked to the lady who answered the phone and she was rude and said the vet had notes, he lied about his notes and the exam. She would not refund the money..worst place ever. I will not go back and I will not recommend it, I am changing vets and I feel sorry for the people who have had this happen to them before. We put our old lab to sleep their last summer and their was no extra exam fee for him and all of a sudden there is a fee for her. I will NEVER go back there.

After spending almost 4 hours at Southwind and never being seen, we made an appointment with Village. We were put into a room very quickly, and had her vaccines and check up done in record time.

I had a great experience with all of the staff there. I had recently adopted a dog from the Blount county animal shelter and took her to the vet because I thought she might be pregnant about a week after adopting her. Come to find out the shelter didn't realize that the dog was 45 days pregnant and the vet helped me get a reimbursement for the vet visit.

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend Village Vet in Maryville. They have always treated us and our pets very, very well. Thank you!

My 12 week old German Shepherd puppy broke her elbow extremely bad and this vet Office cane highly recommended and I couldn’t be more glad that I took her here. They got to her surgery very quick, were extremely informative, did the surgery for a quarter of the price that any other vets office would do it for, trimmed her nails for me without asking (thank goodness because she needed), and helped me by allowing me to make payments. I won’t take my pets anywhere else from now on.

Terrible experience! I took my cat in for an assessment on progress of an infection due to him getting fly larvae in his head and the Vet said he gave my cat medicine (without consent) and argued with me that the wind was an animal bite! (I personally picked out the larvae and Googled it before killing it) Tried to charge me $35 for an antibiotic shot and $28 for pain meds (on top of the house visit) that I DIDN'T authorise! When I went to take him to a different vet, they refused to tell me what drugs they gave my cat! They flat out LIED and said they never gave him anything!!! THEY ARE CROOKS!

We had been using a different vet's office because of closer location to our house. When my precious boxer became sick and I couldn't get him in at the other clinic, the staff at Village was very accommodating in letting me bring him in asap. I received the worst news I probably could have for my almost 12 year old fur baby, tumor around his liver or spleen and severe arthritis in his back and hips. We made the decision to have him put to sleep, and the caring and compassionate vet, Dr. Leitch, as well as the rest of the staff made a terrible day bearable. Thank you!

BEWARE! This place just takes your money! We paid $500 for a mole to be removed on my dog. They demanded we bring the dog back for a post op visit at NO CHARGE...LIARS!! They had the nerve to charge us to rewrap the dogs foot! Are you serious??? I'd rather them charge $600 and include the bandage. I could've went to the dollar store for bandages and done it myself! STAY AWAY!!!

William Allen

Beware!! , wrote a long article which I can not get posted. In short misdiagnosed my cat , charged me $586 plus $125 Kept the cat three nights. By the time I got cat to emergence Vets the cat died

Many thanks to Doctors Lehman and Lehman and all the staff at VVH. They have taken very good care of our Lucy and of us too.

If you need to put your pet down, don't go here.

Lady P

The young lady at the counter (she answers the phone) seemed like she didn’t want to be at work today and was a bit snappy but other than that, Dr. Leach, the tech, and the lady at checkout were all fantastic! The prices were reasonable and the staff (except the one above) were all kind. We will definitely be using this Vet again!

Kristen Gunter

All the staff at Village Vet are amazing with my dog. They are very sweet and do everything to make sure my dog is healthy and well took care of. Love them!!

Amber Davis

Thank you Team Village Vet for taking care of us and keeping us in your thoughts.

Dr Jenkins and his staff were excellent from the office visit to the extractions to the check out. A Dr came in and explained meds to me and answered All questions. She was so caring about my pup. I noticed people’s previous comments about the front desk but everyone’s personalities are different and they all showed compassion. Prices were good and they were Caring and compassionate and loving my fur baby just like I do. THANK YOU for being the GREAT people you are.

I cant say enough good things about this clinic. As a first time puppy owner I don't know all the answers and when I think something is wrong they are always there to answer my call and questions and are very caring and supportive they never down me. The people that work there always know me and my puppies name and greet us when we come in.

I've been to 4 or 5 vets over the past 10 years and Village Vet has had the best service and cost so far. The front desk has given me amazing service every time I visit and the Dr.'s explanations, suggestions and knowledge are top notch. When reading these reviews, remember, satisfied customers rarely comment. I saw a few negative comments and wanted to provide my experience.

Been there a few times. The woman who works the front desk is beyond rude. If i hadnt had a child w me i would have told her off or gone above her head to complain. Talked to me like i was nothing. Older lady. Maybe 50 .Idk . But she made me feel so bad. I didnt have alot of money to spend. When i explained that each time i saw her she talked to me like i wasnt worth her time. Very condescending. I also believe my animal that was there was neglected. I would go someplace else that would treat u w some respect . We are already stressed out about our pets.

Diane Rose

I took my 8 yr old chocolate lab there because I thought she had blown out her knee. Another vet told me she had and that if I didn't do surgery she would blow her other knee out. I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to do the surgery so I took her here for a second opinion. They said it was torn tissue and not her knee. Gave me some medicine and told me to give her some rest. A week later and my Kelsea is walking on both rear legs again like it never happened. I have cried and prayed so much that she would heal. I felt that god led me to you. Thank you Dr Alex Leach and everyone at Village Vet Hospital. You treated me and my dog with nothing but respect and kindness--from the front desk to seeing the doctor. It was a perfect experience. Me and Kelsea love you all and will definitely be back for her yearly check-up and shots. Once again Thank you and your staff, you are the best!!

Terrible experiences with this place. I have taken my puppy here a few times, and every time I have been over charged for stuff that wasn’t even necessary. The first time I took my puppy for swallowing a small piece of rubber they gave her an oral antibiotic to dissolve the object ($80) then proceeded to tell me she needed to spend the night so she could be “watched” which costed an extra $250. Come to find out the object had dissolved within an hour of taking the medication, there was no reason for her to stay over night. This last visit I took my puppy in because she had been severely scratching at her ears. After spending about two minutes in the room the doctor said it was due to hair in her ears bothering her, charged me $40 for the visit and sent me home with $80 ear drops which did not help her ears at all. If you want a vet that cares about your pet and not just money, look else where!!!!

By far the best veterinary practice around! the doctors there are the best and they really go the extra mile for your pets. I can't say enough kind words about Dr.jenkins he really takes care of your fur babies! no matter how busy these doctors are if you have any questions or concerns about your pet they will take time out to talk with you. Our sweet baby muffin had to many problems to get well she passed away it was a very bad day and this office had flowers sent to our home they had so much compassion for our family on other practice in town has ever sent flowers when we lost a pet. The ladies at the front desk are so sweet and friendly. We cant thank them enough for everything they do for our fur babies.village veterinary will always be the only practice for us.

I have been using Dr Lehman and his staff for 15 years. We live in west knoxville and drive to maryville with all of our dogs. Honestly I would drive as far as needed to be sure Ed takes care or our schnauzers. He is the best anywhere period. As far as the comment below-Dorothy must be a jealous competitor!

I had been taking my Shitzapeek to another vet for 5 years trying to figure out her cough. I was told it was allergies and went through years of trying different (and expensive) foods that she didn't like much, all to no avail. A friend recommended Dr. Ed Lehman in Maryville. Dr. Ed took one look at her and said it was not allergies and told me why. After running a few tests, he diagnosed her as having congenitive (?) heart disease and put her on the right track to better health. She was a much happier dog from that day forward. He was very caring and kind and explained everything to me. I then started taking my Chihuahua to him. When she got really sick, he called me and checked on her. How nice is that?? Honestly, I would drive two hours if I had too. He is that good and is the best at diagnosing what is wrong with animals. As far expenses, he is less expensive than other vets I have been to. He also only runs the tests he feels is necessary and explains why. I would not take my dogs to any other vet. Dr. Ed is it for me.

I have worked here a good amount of time and absolutely love them. I take my animals here also. The doctors and vet techs are amazing, taking the time to listen, and truly care about our pets! Dr. Chris Lehman doing surgeries and his vet tech are always tedious and do a wonderful job. The ladies up front are always helpful. Dr. Lehman does a fantastic job here.

Ladonna Bell

Really disappointed! Don't board your animals there! We recently boarded our two little dogs at Village Vet & both came home sick w/bordatella (BTW- both were inoculated). Called their office to let them know they were sick & though they said they were sorry, & the head vet was to contact us (which never happened), they did not offer to reimburse any of the boarding fees or pay any of the vet bill on behalf/concern of our animals. Will never take my pets there for anything ever again.

Rob McCaulley

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, I really recommend this place highly. My boy Chopper doesn't want to leave.

Whitney Livingston

The staff at Village are always professional, courteous, and ready to give the best care to our pets!
