I have been taking my pets to ValueVet since high school when it was the only vet I could afford and continue to do so today because they have always been wonderful to my feline and canine family members. We recently had to put down my 18 year old cat and they were very nice and gentle through the whole process. I also have a 16 year old dog they have been treating and I can guarantee he wouldn't have been able to make it through this past summer without the care we've received at ValueVet on Nolensville Rd. I know it's close to time to say goodbye to him as well and I have no doubt that the staff at ValueVet will treat him with every bit of respect on that day that they have on every other visit for the last decade or however many years we've been a ValueVet family.

We love Value Vet! We come here for routine doggy checkups and their nail clipping services. Convenience, quality and affordability keep us coming back. We had a scare with our dog and they saw us as a walk-in without an appointment the next day.

They take good care of your pet and I haven’t had an issue with wait time or billing. However, you do have to call every time before going to make sure they are open. If the doctor has a personal reason to leave, they close, so you never know if they are going to be open or not. The office hours are “in general,” but not reality.

Their hours are only suggestions, not actual hours they're open. Doctors seem to be available only when it doesn't interfere with their free time. Usually out of stock on medications. The money you save on services gets wasted on the time and headache you must endure to actually get service. Customer for 10 years, but not much longer.

Literally right after they take my cat from me, the vet assistant starts telling me a story about how her cat's arm got ripped off and blood went spurting everywhere. Anyway yeah, trust this doctor I'm sure they aren't a bunch of idiots or anything.

wish i could make it with ZERO STARS ... lets start by saying that i always went to get an addition comfortis pill for my fur-baby , no questions asked they just checked my account and provided it without me necessarily bringing my dog which i had love that because she is really over protective. BUT!!! i went again to get the pill , using my time , my gas etc to get another one and the irresponsible front desk girls told me she needed to get a check up in or for me to get anymore . i told them why i have always go them with no problem , point is I didnt not get the comfortis when I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE THAT A CHECK UP WAS GOING TO BE NEEDED!!!! i wouldnt have GONE for NO REASON, ....................... Never again will i go to this location

I had my kitty Macy spayed in April 2014 and she recovered quickly. Her scar is minimal and thanks to the use of the E collar and pain meds she did not get any infections. Thanks Value Vet :)

We made the difficult decision to not allow our elder cat to suffer after a sudden and significant decline. The call center worked to get us in early this morning. I'm sorry I don't remember the names, but the staff was amazingly supportive and comforting. They explained what to expect and were not at all judgmental. This was our first visit there, but they loved and cared for our Sasha as if she'd always been a patient. I was shocked that such excellent service was provided at a more than reasonable rate. Highly recommend them.

I like this place. I have a habit of catching baby kitties and then finding them good homes. Value Vet is the place I take those kitties and my own cats for vaccinations and such. I just took one of my rescues to a private practice bc I couldn't get to the Value Vet and guess what? It was awful. Very expensive, the people were very cold towards me and yes I was on a limited budget bc I just found this kitty and was GIVING IT AWAY so I wasn't going to spend a ton on it. Well.. a couple hundred bucks later guess what? The private vet's assistant then was like "I will adopt the kitty" of course! After I spent over $200 on it. It was just not very up-front and honest, and after they tried to sell me on tons of stuff for the kitty their own employee was going to adopt. Value Vet would have never treated me that way. I'm going there today with my new find. I expect low prices, and to get things done. They also respect people like me who actually get animals off of the street, get them fixed, and find a home. I need to start a non-profit....

Called today to get my dog in for excessive vomiting, called and set up an appt at 11am. They told me they could see me if I was there by 11:40am, got there 15 minutes early and they then told me they could not see me until 1:20pm...I would not recommend this place to anyone! I went somewhere else and got prompt and great service for my dog.

I had an Appointment for my Dog for a possible ear infection at 11:20 am. I arrived at 11:10. The girl at the front Desk who is not professional at all. Took my Dog to get weight and temp taken. Then, we waited 30 mins longer for her to take us back to the exam room. THERE was not another animal being treated. I have no idea why the wait was so long except for the Front desk Girl talking about what her plans were for the weekend. My Dog and I waited another 23 mins in the exam room and no one even checked in on Me or to tell me that I am sorry for the wait. I finally just took my Dog and walked out. Do I recommend this place ABSOLUTELY NOT! I could rate this place a Neg Star I would

I will never again take my animals to value vet. I took my dog to get blood work done back in June and I was told the vet would call me with the results and never got back to me. I had to put my dog down this morning due to her being extremely sick. She had diabetes this whole time and maybe if the vet at value vet had actually bothered to call me back we could have prevented this whole thing.

I recently took my dog in for his annual check up and shots and the ladies there were very friendly and sweet. They were also able to help find a more affordable heartworm and flea prevention medicine to put him on which I really appreciated. They worked with me and didn't try to talk me into getting more than I could afford. Our appointment was early morning and we were seen right away.

The most horrific day of my life was greeted with kindnesses and compassion like I never could have expected. My BFF of 19 years needed to be put down a few days before Christmas. I had called and the operator told me to bring her in immediately. I knew driving as I pet her that I was saying goodbye. They did x-rays to reveal an enormous tumor which explains why she couldn't breathe over the last few days it had just gotten too bad. I can't tell you how amazing these people, the doctor, the entire staff was to me. Everyone knew what to do and how to control an out-of-control customer. I know I was probably horrible to deal with and they remained the kindest a person could ever be. I received the most magnificent card signed by everyone at the entire clinic even though I had not met some of them. They went above and beyond any customer service I've ever seen. Yes there are tremendous value, but the heart and the soul of the employees are second to none. I've been taking my animals here for years and have only received this kind of service at value vet. Rest in peace hashtag, AnnieTheSexualPuss. Look her up. You'll see why I was devastated. The most gentle docile resume cat ever. Adopt Not Shop. Goldy

I took my grandmother's kitten to be spayed.The desk girl said that they recommend doing a $98 blood test 2 days before spay treatment to ensure there are no problems.First of all,why would you wait until I arrive after fasting my cat to tell me this and not on the phone when I set up the appointment the week before?I said no.Next,she gave me a sheet of paper with different treatments such as fluids,pain medicine,cone,etc. that each had their own price and totaled to much more than what they told us on the phone.So,in other words,they price gouge you when you arrive.Then,she asked if I've given the cat any medicine recently.I told them how I gave the cat Advantage for Dogs a couple days ago.Despite the fact that my primary vet does this all the time and said it's fine as long as you use the right dosage,desk girl said it causes neurological problems and said they may not be able to do the treatment until next week due to the dog Advantage flea medicine and she'd have to ask the vet when she arrives.A simple google search shows that dog Advantage is the same as cat Advantage,just more in the bottle so you have to measure the dose and that it's fine and saves money to do it this way.Shows how much they know!We left because the vet hadn't arrived yet and a couple hours later,they called and said they had to wait 'til next week to do the operation.They said they were gonna give the cat a bath.Ok?So,my mom went to pick up the cat and when she got home she gave me the invoice with the cost.I expected a small fee for the bath and tapeworm medicine.We told her the cat had tapeworms so they gave us a topical solution.I have trouble putting topical meds on this cat due to extremely thick fur.I was expecting a tablet.The medicine was TWENTY SEVEN dollars for one dose!I can get 5 tapeworm tablets online for less than that plus the med they gave treats all intestinal worms,not just tapeworm.They also tacked on a $35 dollar charge for an examination that they didn't even tell us about!Why would you examine the cat if you aren't operating on her that day?So,we ended up paying $62 and didn't even end up having the cat spayed.They should call themselves VALUELESS Vet because they are a price gouging ripoff.And they don't know what they're talking about so likely don't know what they're doing either.I suggest going somewhere else.

I recently had to take all 3 cats to the vet. I took them one at a a time. When I got home the first cat was foaming at the mouth. I rushed him back but it was too late. It wasn't their fault. They were so compassionate and sweet to me. We got a card in the mail that the staff personally wrote in. They truly cared about my cat and tried everything to revive him. They also cared about us. Wonderful people who care.

They told me this stray cat that came to my door was not spade or microchipped, so I got her a bunch of vaccines and set up an appointment for a spay. Go in today, they put her under, and call us back 30 minutes later to tell me that she was spade already, and putting her under was completely unnecessary. I am livid. Did I even need to vaccinate her? Probably not. I am now extremely anxious that not only have I given her more vaccines than she needed and spent a ton of unnecessary money, but that I might have taken her from a loving home. I did not do as much work trying to find her owner bc they told me she wasn’t vaccinated, and I figured if she had a home, it was at least an irresponsible one. I am livid and so sad that I’ve had to put this kitty under anesthesia for no reason. Value Vet owes me about $200 for the vaccines that I WOULD NOT have gotten had I thought she might have already been vaxxed w/ a previous owner.

My cat my Best Friend and Love of my Life:) Had lost alot of weight and they told me get blood work $300.00 the test came back good and that he just need fluids and that he would get better and gain weight. I did this for 5 months and he didn,t get any better, so they told me to have him xray. Came back he had cancer and had 2 wks to live:( They didn,t want to service me anymore and where very Rude!!!!!!!!!! He died in my arms Sept 19 2018 :( I feel like they should have told me to have him xray within the 1st month and I could have had the chance to save him! I didn,t know people could be so cruel until I trusted them w/ my Love w/ this vet and this is how I was treated :( They will for sure get there Karma one day!!!!!!!!!

Run run run! It's not worth it to "hope" you get the good vet. These people all rotate through out each location so you see a different person every single time. The nice, qualified Vets and vet techs are fleeing from this place. They are all quitting because things have changed and went down hill so drastically. I could go on for days about our terrible experiences here. They used to be a great place but now they are like the Applebee's of Vets, constant turnover, always up selling to meet a sales quota, not treating your pets with respect but rather treating them like objects. This place is horrible and if you care about your pets at all you will find another place to go ASAP!!

Nothing fancy,but they don't waste your time. I got my dog brought up to date on all her vaccines and had a standard check up for under $90. That's a deal you cannot beat with a stick. I was in and out in less than 25 minutes. If there was an issue that required better diagnostic skills than the internet offered, I might consider bringing my dog elsewhere. However, it you need a script or a vaccine and don't want to break the bank this is the spot.

The wait time was ridiculous. We sat in the exam room for almost an hour, alone while the doctor was within eyesight chatting with fellow coworkers. Then- they try to upsell you on everything. Was told on the phone it would be $80. Then they slipped in a bunch of stuff and ended up paying over $150!
