FEB 2nd 2017 Value Vet Visit Friday I took my 2 little boy yorkies Harley and Bentley to get their teeth cleaned into a local vet in hermitage that I have been using for years. When I dropped them off at 7:30am I was very verbal about my fear in them pulling their teeth and that I did not want them to just pull a bunch of teeth without calling me. This was due to the same vet pulling 4 teeth in the front of Harley's mouth years before without consulting me. I showed up last time and his teeth were gone! Nothing I could do then. SO this time I was clear about what needed to happen if they even thought about pulling any teeth. I said simply call me and go over things with me. The girl there at ValueVet assured me not to worry and that they would call if they needed to not to worry. We got a call that afternoon from the VET FRI at 12:30 pm to advised Bentley had 3 loose teeth in the front that could have root exposure and would be painful if they were not removed. We agreed to let them pull 3 teeth. So I called about 4pm to see if I could come to get my dogs and they said yes. When I got there they advised that I needed to wait because the DR. (Vet) wanted to discuss things with me? I started to feel like something was wrong. She called me over to an area where they had done the work and had a layout of towels with pieces of flesh and teeth that literally looked like a horror movie! I started freaking out and said these are not my dogs teeth are they???!!! Bloody mess of teeth on towels that she started to try to explain why they pulled all of their teeth!!!!! I was in complete SHOCK! THEY PULLED ALL OF THEIR TEETH OUT BUT 2 in Harleys Mouth and ALL BUT 3 IN Bentleys Mouth. I couldn't even speak, I was horrified. I was in tears for my babys. Bentley is only 6 and Harley is 9. They stood there and tried to tell me this was for the health of my pet!!!! I was like ....WHY WHY WHY didn't you call me AGAIN. I would have never agreed to you doing this to my dogs NEVER!! YOU CALLED ME AND SAID YOU WERE PULLING 3 TEETH ON BENTLEY?? THIS WAS MY FEAR WITH YOU GUYS BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU DID LAST TIME!!!! I NEVER GAVE YOU AUTHORIZATION TO DO THIS TO MY DOGS IT IS BARBARIC!! I could not believe what was happening. I told them to give me my dogs and had to leave immediately. She yelled at me that it would be 700.00 dollars MR MASON. I yelled BILL ME! I WAS COMPLETELY STUCK IN A NIGHTMARE. I left with my dogs and called the business and asked for them to contact me in regard to what they did and I wanted to speak to the owner. WE got a call yesterday from the VET who did this and she left a message checking on my dogs and said we have a bill to pay with them. She ignored my complaints and what happened all together and is asking for money. Its not the money were worried about its the fact this has happened twice at the same place and this time I was clear about them not pulling teeth and they did it anyway. Not just a few but almost every tooth on both of our dogs.

I wished you could give 0 stars! I established all 4 of my dogs with this clinic and at first the experience was great. I spent almost $1000 on yearly's, dental cleanings and preventative. Since then there has been 2 times when one of my babies was sick and they won't even work you in! Unbelievebe! What good is a vet when you need them for illness and you can't even get in to see them!!!!!! Good prices but I WILL be going somewhere else!!! I work for a doctor and we would NEVER turn our sick patients away when they need us!! Unacceptable!!

We love them!! They've always treated us fairly and always give options for treatment for any budget. They too care of our pet cremation and we have a lovely red wooden box for our girl Molly. We love all the staff too.They sent a card when we lost our Shihtzu.They are always great and gentle with our fur kids!! Thanks everyone!

Extremely difficult to get an appointment even when try to and schedule months in advance. They have several locations however only 1 open on Saturdays. Doesnt make sense. People work during the week and Saturday's would be a huge money maker for them. Just overall inconvenient...

Waited 3 hours so my dog could get a shot and they let other pets go before my dog even though I was there before the others. After waiting patiently they told me my dog could not get the shot because it takes 30 minutes and they were closing soon. Basically wasted 3 hours of my life. Would not recommend.

My moms 15 year old dog went here because her eye and nose had discharge. They charged my poor mother to spay her dog and remove masses that had already been tested as benign. On a 15 year old dog. Then she didn’t even walk out with eye drops or anything for the nose. Unbelievable. They take advantage of people not to mention they butchered the poor 10 lb dog. She continued to bleed from her sutures into the night and was covered in blood when she was picked up. It’s like they weren’t even checking on her after the surgery. It was absolutely awful. I’m sure if all your dog needs is vaccines this vet can probably manage that okay.

They were quick to offer an appointment and the staff was competent. They take care of business and that's what I want when I have an animal in need. Plus, one of the staff members talked to my cat. I really appreciate that because soothing tones help animals, even if they might not understand, they can tell the difference between when someone's holding them for care or to to kill. Not always easily distinguishable for more easily spooked pets.

Went to the Hermitage Tn value vet monday morning after watching my cat suffer over the weekend. A girl comes from the back and said "get rid of him we're doing surgeries" and before they threw me out the other girl said they have no Doctor's. Now I can't get an answer to cancel the appointment they gave me. After "Get rid of him as soon as I set foot in the place with my suffering best bud I wouldn't set foot in the place again or ever recommend this rat hole to anyone!

The picture of the Hermitage, Tn location does not do it justice. It seems small until you step inside. Its very open and sunny and clean. The exam rooms are shaped like dog houses and very colorful for we humans. The staff were friendly and helpful. My boys Rex and Max had their nurturing there today and are fine and happy this evening.

They told us our puppy was BLIND.........or had very little sight. So instead of going to the former employee/specialist they referred us to, we went for a second opinion. Not only did they tell us he is 100% healthy they had him chasing laser pointers around. Very apparent their agenda. Stay away

I went in today for a first visit. The staff were very stand offish. My dog had an ear infection but they didn't swab her ear ... just a quick look. I was in and out in 5 min. Ridiculous service! I will never go back. I called another that office in Hermitage who was able to get me in and discuss her problem ,swab her ear and discuss the treatment plan. Countryside was wonderful to me and my sick dog. If you work in this field you should at least have some compassion for your pets and for their parents. Enough said!

I have taken my dogs there several times, and I am very pleased with everything they have done. More so than my other vet, who was twice as expensive. All the employees there have been efficient and very nice. I have one complaint. I could not get an appointment for a week the last time, so my dog was miserable with coughing and itching (skin allergies) for a week.

Good prices, but they are pretty apathetic. They tried to tack on several extra medicines to our first appointment, most of them we had already purchased from the shelter so I refused them all because it seemed like they were just trying to make money. They never tried to explain that deworming should be done more than once with a new puppy from a shelter, and if I had known I would have paid. They will never work you in for an appointment, no matter how sick your pet is you have to wait a few days for an appointment.

I just got my 6 month old puppy spayed at Value Vet. The incision seemed larger than I expected, and the stitches were sloppy, but I'm not a vet, and I assumed it was all fine. 2 days later (no exercise, cone on the whole time) her stitches started to look infected. My boyfriend took her to a different vet, who wanted to know who had BUTCHERED my dog. According to the other vet, the incision is 3x the size it should be, and the stitches are a mangled mess. The second vet said that whoever spayed my dog had clearly never performed the surgery before.

They took good care of him when he was neutered and did an excellent job of explaining what I needed to do to take care of him during recovery. I would highly recommend. They even called a few days afterward just to check on him and make sure he was healing well!

A decent price for your vet needs. Very friendly and they understand a budget and give you your best options for your dollars. They work with you on meds and provide the ability to get a partial script which can be a great thing if you are on a fixed income.

Whatever you guys do, if you love your pets never never never bring them to Value Vet. It's not just the chance of getting a bad doctor, but they are just hateful folks. We spent approximately $700 dollars after this surgery at another clinic to help our Ruby survive this botched surgery. She had therapy, pain meds, antibiotics, water pills, medicated powder, more pain pills, more antibiotics and in the end.... We lost our beautiful Ruby yesterday. We contacted The branch of Value Vet last week to try, for one last time, to at the very least to get their input on the botched surgery their doctor did. We were told that the doctor wasn't there and she would call back on that Wednesday, but she never contacted us back. They honestly don't care. On the other hand we had the doctors at the clinic here Mount Juliet work their heads off trying to save her. But, ultimately the little girl fought as hard as she could but just couldn't win. There will never be another Ruby. There is no price you can put on a pet, a companion. We don't want money from these people, we want at the very least an apology.....I personally want their license so they can never BUTCHER another animal every again. What should have been a simple removal of a mammary gland left a loving little dog with a scar from her upper chest all the way down to her bottom with so much scar tissue she couldn't walk once it began to harden. One of the follow up veterinarians said in her 17 years of doctoring she had never seen anything like that. Ones said there was no reason for it, since where the tumor was had healed beautifully. In closing Value Vet is responsible because of the people they hire.... This is an awful company and that is my honest opinion.

She takes him to value vet, and they say “oh it’s nothing the cough should go away soon” my friend takes her dog to another vet in MT JULIET that I recommended, and they said her dog had a heart murmur and a problem with his spleen. Shows how much value vet knows and shows how much they really care about your pet.

I went in bc my puppy is sick and idk why. All they did was look in her ears take her temp check in her butt then give me a list of stuff options of what i could do...for just that they charged me $33 they gave me a list of antibiotics for 15.45 fluids 32.56 and just to do a stool sample was 23.50 which they didnt even do they had to send it off to have it done. They offered a CAN of dog food that was $12 (a can 1can of dog food that she may not be able to keep down) i hate this company.

Sadly had to put my best & most loyal friend down, after almost 17years of joy. The staff at Value Vet were very caring and compassionate. I called like a baby over my beloved Rotty. The Dr assured my wife and I, that we were doing the best thing for her. They didn't mind me laying in the floor with Queen, my Rotty, until she was gone. They even told me, that I could stay as long as I wanted, & needed with her, until I was ready. They said they would see animals in the waiting room if they needed to, just for my wife and I, to make sure we took all the time we needed with our goodbyes. Thank you so much Value Vet for being so sympathetic & understanding.

Our kitty was abandoned when it's owner moved about 10 months ago. Was roaming the neighborhood, so we "adopted" it. He was rather wild & wouldn't come near us, but always showed up for his food. Took 3 visits for physical & shots before we could get him sedated enough. Everyone guided us along in the process of getting him there, informing us patiently when we asked all our questions. Place is very clean and pet friendly. Prices for were very reasonable. Will definitely use them for Boomer in the future. Their affection for animals is obvious.

Well about in 2017 i took my dog to this vet because she was sneezing blood and mucous and they told us that was allergys.the meds seemed to help for a day and got worse a bump formed on her nose. Okay so i took her to banfield in pet smart. This year 2018 in august about the 27th and they though it was a tooth absest so she went the 3rd of september to get a dental. But that wasnt it so they sent lab results in and came back to be nasal cancer and was on the last stage. Let me remind you ive had this dog since i was 3 and now im 15, and i had to make the decision to put her down because i didnt want to see her suffer that was my baby girl and my bestfriend. VAULE VET SUCKS THEY CANT FIND CANCER IN DOGS SO I'D BE SURE TO TAKE YOUR DOG TO A BETTER VET LIKE BANFIELD. QUIT BEING LAZY AND ACTUALLY TRY TO HELP ANIMALS
