BEWARE! This place is a rip off! They are uneblievably, and insanely overpriced. Their xrays are $350 a pop, while xrays at an EMERGENCY vet on EMERGENCY WEEKEND HOURS is only $160. That’s how badly overpriced these people are. The vet (can’t remember her name, but she’s pregnant) was of absolutely no help. Everyting she said was “could it be this? Maybe, maybe not.” HELLO, I didn’t pay you $700 to give me what it MAY or MAY NOT be. I paid you to help my dog, and now it has become clear that you were bleeding us out before you had any intention of helping her, and now here she sits with her insides rotting, because you wanted $2000 to remove a bowel obstruction. Again, even the EMERGENCY vet is nowhere near that price! You people should be ashamed of yourselves! You don’t love animals! You love MONEY!

My cat Wednesday was having a little issue, so I took her into Stones River. If everything went well, and I was comfortable with everyone, I planned to establish her as a new patient. What an operation! Beginning with the front desk, the two ladies there were very welcoming. When we went back to the exam room, Adam (technician) asked lots of questions about Wednesday. He made detailed notes and also had follow up questions. When Dr. Jessica Jennings came in to introduce herself and begin the exam, she had questions as well. Wednesday was a bit upset with the whole visit, but Dr. Jennings took her time. She was very thorough and gentle with Wednesday. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Adam and Dr. Jennings are definitely in the right profession. Most people consider their pets as family members. You always want the best for your pets, and Stones River is the place. I just can’t say enough. I am so glad we made the decision to take Wednesday to them.

These folks are awesome. Both my visits have been excellent and have had good outcomes. I have taken 2 very elderly and sick cats in and each of them were well-treated and recovered. I liked that they only did the necessary testing and did not run my bill up with labs and Xrays that would not have made any difference in the treatment of the animals. The vets were professional and personable. Great place!

I’m not sure what the 1 star review is talking about with the $350 each X-ray. My poor pupper ate a huge piece of her rope tug toy and we were all afraid of a bowel obstruction. They were so kind to keep her for FREE and take additional X-rays for FREE to make sure she was okay. Doctor Bailey is a caring vet and the tech, Mister Josh, was doting enough that my little one was so connected with him that she “happy peed” at our release which she only does with my close family. Good veterinarians are like finding good automachanics...hard to locate. This place may be a higher dollar (not the highest dollar by any means!) but I’m so impressed by the spirit of the people and how much everyone cares...

I love this Vet clinic. Very modern and state of the art. Drs are sweet, thorough. They manage and examine the animals beautifully, ask you engaging questions and take great notes on the visit. We love going there, the dogs too.

They are the absolute best and I will always take my animals here!!! Dr. Tepp and the entire staff are so attentive, caring, and compassionate. We had a crisis situation with our dog and they spent so much time with him, with us, keeping us informed along the way, and going above and beyond to help him and showed extraordinary compassion. The facility is also very clean and nice and I even loved the fact that they have bright cheery blankets for all the fur babies. I cannot recommend them enough!!! This has to be the best veterinary hospital in all of Tennessee. Dr. Jennings is our favorite!!! She shows empathy and understanding with each pet and like me.. a super worried fur Mom. She has answered all my questions and concerns. We never feel rushed and she gives you her full attention. We also want to say thanks to Josh for being so amazing with our extreme antisocial cat. She is a handful sometimes. The receptionists Abby and Donna always greet you with a smile. Thank you for all you guys do!

I was from out of.town and.had a sick puppy. They were very empathetic and by the time I arrived they had already contacted my local vet and had my puppy's health history. They were very professional and thorough. They answered all my questions and gave me all the options for treatment. A great group of caring people. Dr Tepp is very knowledgeable and caring. We have been taking our dog for a few years for all his shots and care. We are extremely happy with the results. The staff is great for the most part. We have only had issues getting the doctors to approve prescriptions from third-parties. Have to constantly call to follow up on approval, re-fax transmittals, if they even approve it at all. Other than the hassle with getting prescriptions filled outside their facility they are great.

Very nice people put very over price the will rob you. Please compare prices with Value Vet and you will be amazed! For example I paid over $40 bucks for Pro heart at Stones but only $4 at Value. Value charges only $15 bucks for shots Stones will charge over a $100 depending on what shot .lol

Our Shoodle scratched itself so much above its left eye it started to bleed. Called Stones River Veterinary Hospital and they were able to see him within 2 hours. Staff is very nice and efficient. What I really like about this place is they do not have Vet doctor turnover like our previous vet hospital. This place is also extremely clean and modern. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a pet that needs to be cared for by a vet.

I take 5 dogs and 10 cats here for all their medical needs. Even toe nail trimming on a few. I live on a farm, and my LGD Great Pyreenes sees them regularly. I'm so thankful for them being close by, for treating us like family, and being up front and honest about all the many health concerns we owners have. Vet care can be expensive, like everything else, and this practice, including their Drs. Have my family's trust. We've been clients since they opened.

Update: We were actually contacted by the owner today (the same day I left this review) and she was very friendly and apologetic. She invited us to come in one more time and we were able to resolve the issue. I'm very happy with this form of customer service and how quickly they moved to make wrong things right. Going to change this from 1 star to 4, and I'll try them again to see where this goes. ––––––– My wife and I have been seeing a vet & groomer in Smyrna for a while, however since buying a house close to this vet, we thought we'd give them a try. After all, they are only 10 minutes from our house. Unfortunately, I've had such a bad experience with them this past week, I'm most likely going back to the place I was using previously. Please note that we weren't there for a vet appointment (and I can't speak to their abilities as a vet), but we were there for a grooming. The cut itself looked fine, however later at night our dog started excessively liking herself around her lower abdomen, and when we checked, we noticed that she had several burn marks from the razor they used. Now, we're reasonable people and contacted the vet to let them know about our sub-par experience, however the girl we spoke with brushed it off as "it happens". Really disappointed with the whole situation, I don't think we'll be coming here again.

Dr. Lisa Tepp and her team are so kind and gentle, both with the pet(s) and their humans. My sweet Kiki need to have her teeth removed and I was struggling with the decision. Dr. Lisa was through, kind and also allowed me to have my process of discovery to make the final decision. While Kiki was in surgery they called me every hour with an update, which really helped relieve my anxiety. They have been as kind and through on the other side of surgery too. Regular calls to check on Kiki and a follow up appointment. I love that they are more holistic focused with chiropractic, cold laser, Standard Process nutritional supplements, and thei approach.

I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with the everyone here! They are kind and really love the animals. They are also extremely thorough and explain everything in detail, giving ample opportunity for questions. They have also always been upfront about cost and willing to discuss every option to find what’s best for you and your pet. I’ve seen two of the vets and loved them both but end up seeing Dr. Bailey most frequently. She’s wonderful and you can tell she really loves her job. I’m definitely willing to pay a bit more to know my pets are getting the best care and to receive such amazing service. I cannot recommend them enough!

All 3 of the Doctors have been beyond amazing. We've had 2 cats and our dog there for all of our small worries and big worries. They genuinely care about getting you answers and making sure your pets are healthy and happy. Scheduling appointments is extremely easy and flexible, dropping off early in the morning, and picking up after work hours. I will always recommend Stones River Vet Hospital!!!

Between me and my adult children that have left home we have a total of 6 dogs and 2 cats that Stones River Vet takes care of....they know my dogs by name always have great care. Vet techs and the veterinarian are calm and great with animals all my fur babies love them...one of the dogs Maddison is a very scared girl she developed heart worms a bit over a year ago. They were so good and patient with her, on a stay for treatment she didn’t want to eat so a vet tech sat in front of her cage eating to try to coax her to eat...they r thoughtful and u can see they love animals so much. This girl is free of heart worms and back to her normal lifestyle..I also love the mobile app so easy to keep up with preventives and appointments for each dog which is important when u have as many animals as I do.. Update; 5/7/2017 I got a new puppy the puppy on day three of me having her showed signs on parvo...The staff quickly came to her aid as soon as I walked in...they were very careful about contamination as was I..they worked quickly in the morning..Dr Tepp looked her over and they quarenteened her..all day they watched her got her on proper medicine to fight it...in the evening they set up her transfer to Animal Medical Center . Even on the Fourth of July and the day after Animal Medical Center informed me Dr Tepp called in to check on her...omg u know that melted my heart to know she didn’t forget my baby and took the time to check in her...I love my vet really I was very touched...and now for the best news Chloe will be fine she is recovering and at home now...
