The staff were very friendly and helpfull. They went out of their way to make friends with my dog-Brandy. The only complaint I have is, they removed the Pet Portal from their website. It helped me to keep up on my dog records and when exams and shots are coming due.

I've been bringing my cats here for years. I get great service, on time appointments, and telephone follow ups with test results. The staff is friendly and helpful. But Dr. Moseley is the reason I keep returning. I trust him and how he treats my pets. He tells me what treatment needs to be done as well as what doesn't. He cares about my animals, and it shows. I highly recommend Southwind Animal Hospital. Carol Gandy

Just took our Bassett Hound in to have his Anal Glands expressed. All is OK! He doesn't do this himself and I've tried. However determined I am, just can't get it done. Afraid I'll end up doing more harm than good. So I leave it to the Professional Technicians. Never had any issues with them doing this for several years. Great place and I totally trust them with my short legged buddy.

Staff was very friendly and kind. Facility was very clean. They had a moody customer come in after me and handled that very well. I only came in to see if a stray dog had a chip but from there service I would definitely go back.

I was very pleased with Southwind Animal Hospital. They have the best staff and animal doctors that I have seen in a while. I am very glad that my dog dutch was able to meet those nice doctors. They took the time and made sure my dog and me were happy. I would recommend this company to anyone. I look forward to taking my newest puppy to them.

My first visit was a great one, that made me feeling comfortable about return for my Noah's procedure. I was giving a quote of how much it was and I made it clear to which quote I have chosen. Needless to say the day of the surgery, and its completion. I was charge way more than the actual quote. The Doctor did the total opposite of what we had discussed. The male staff was a big help on my decision making, but act as if he don't recall out conversation. I gave a 3 but I was more so leaning towards a 2. This was my first and last experience here. I highly recommend when you are caring for our love ones be mindful that we as a customer only want the best of care for them. Don't try to over charge us because you feel you can, base of the love we have for them!!!!!!

We have used Southwind Animal Hospital for years--very friendly staff. The doctors and other staff members are so easy to work with and truly care about their "clients" (our pets). We would highly recommend Southwind Animal Hospital.

They are a bit pricey. But they provide great care. They did all due diligence to make sure my loves were better.

Southwind Animal Hospital is the BEST! The staff treat your pets with love and kindness and go out of their way to give them the very best treatment possible. They really listen to you and work with you in your pet's treatment. I just had to put down my sweet little 10-year old pug and would not have gotten through it without the wonderful staff, especially Dr Amy Cooper.

Christy Nottingham

I have taken my cats to Southwind Animal Hospital for the last 8 or 9 years. The staff is friendly, caring and above all knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them highly!

All the staff are VERY friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, understanding, and caring! My dogs have always received EXCELLENT care here! Dr. Moseley is the BEST vet in the ENTIRE Memphis metropolitan area, and I have been taking my dogs (three Dachshunds and a Scottish Terrier) to see him since I moved back to the area in 2007, with a couple of exceptions when I lived too far away to drive all the way to Hacks Cross and Winchester. However, I received subpar service at both of the other vets I went to and was SUBSTANTIALLY overcharged for the same services, so I went BACK to Southwind Animal Hospital. It is WELL worth the 30-minute drive for me, as I now live in Bartlett, and pass by SO many other vet practices on my way there! When my beloved Dachshund was dying of acute kidney failure, Dr. Moseley said there was a chance they could reverse it with IV fluids in the ICU but that it would be quite expensive. However, knowing I'm on Disability, he allowed me to make payments. On the fourth day, he called to say the treatments were not working and that while we could TRY further treatments, it would still not likely improve, so I needed to make "the decision". I asked him if he would make an exception and bring him to my home to put him down since I had known him for over 20 years from church (his son and I were in youth group together since middle school), and he graciously said yes! NOT MANY VETS DO THAT THESE DAYS! And I'm not saying he would do that for everyone. I'm just using that as an example of how kind, compassionate, and wonderful he is!!! And it meant the WORLD to me, as Wilson was my SOUL MATE... (I can't have children, so he WAS my son, and my other Dachshund IS my daughter! I got them when I was 23. Now my Scottie and my new Dachshund are my sons, but I digress...) Southwind Animal Hospital is a GREAT veterinarian practice, and I HIGHLY recommend it to ANYONE!

The staff is hands down the best I’ve ever experienced. We were referred here because my 7 year old cockapoo was diagnosed with lymphoma. From the receptionists to the nurses and veterinarians/ (AMAZING) oncologist, everyone is all in and only cares about one thing- your fur baby’s well being and of course the parents. I am so so grateful for this place... For making me feel at home and for actually allowing me fully trust a group of people with my baby. Even if I had not been with one of their assistants before, every time I felt at ease and as if I was in good hands. Not sure how they do it. Once I feel that I am ready for a new fur baby, you betcha I will be making the 30 minute drive from downtown to make sure he/she is in the very best hands. Thank you Southwind Animal Hospital ❤️

I have been bringing my 15 year old dog Harley to Southwind for over a year now and I love everything about it. They treat him with such care and I can see the difference it makes to my dog. I just wish that I had started with them sooner. They are great!

They really treat your pet as if it were their own!

My 16 week old Puppy had worms and I was lost at what to do. They were friendly and so helpful. They not only took care of her but also made sure to give me information and tips as 1st time puppy owner. They were so quick and efficient . I am really glad I found them. Also they stay open later which is great for us working moms! Thank you Southwind.

We have been going to Southwind Animal Hospital since 2001 and have enjoyed it. We have multiple dogs & cats (two of the cats from Southwind) and have used Southwind's multiple services. They are AWESOME!!!! Very caring and concerned when needed. We had to put one of our labs down while out of the country and they went over and beyond to care for her and to communicate with us and help with the options we were up against. Very sad time for us all. Again they are AWESOME!!!! Highly recommend taking your pets to them.

That Sammi girl is awesome! Makes it a complete experience!

My cat Clayton has been going to Southwind since November 2014 and we love it! I appreciate that Southwind keeps me organized by sending regular emails (both general and personalized), and I love that they provided me with a hard copy ID card for Clayton (kind of like a driver's license) when we first started going there. They are always easy to schedule with (regular appointments and even last minute boarding needs), and they are in a good part of town. More than anything, though, they love Clayton and I feel like they remember her/are excited to see her every time I bring her in. I recommend Southwind to all my friends with pets!

This hospital was awesome! We had an emergency while traveling home from vacation and had to stop. The staff was extremely caring and welcomed us with open arms. My dog was extremely sick and they were very gentle and kind to him. Not only did they take very good care of my dog, they were knowledgeable and thorough when they examined him. After examination they provided a write up of all of their findings and written instructions for further care. We were able to get our dog home and to our local pet hospital. Our dog is on his way to recovery and I really appreciate the treatment our dog received during his visit at this hospital.

Tommy Miller

Great service, friendly, caring professionalism on all levels. Dr. Briggs is the best.

Began using Southwind because Bailey, one of our wonderful rescue dogs, had gone there when with her previous owners. We have been so very happy with the entire staff during routine exams, visits for a series of shots, and during a minor surgery. Have recommended Southwind to numerous friends, and will continue to do so! Now have records of all three of our rescues at Southwind, and couldn't be more pleased! Each doctor and all staff members treat our "furry children" as if they're the most important on the planet - - - which, of course, they are! So grateful to and for this team!

Used them for just two days of boarding. Our dogs had their own kennels but were not walked enough which is why they peed themselves and were forced to lay in it. We had to clean our hands before getting in the car because they were soaked in urine and the drive home we had the windows down because of the smell. This is inexcusable considering how well trained our dog is from multiple professionals. Also, our dog had diarrhea and we were never called despite them medicating and charging for pill administering. They nickel and dime us after poor service. Their excuse for not calling was because it was early in the morning (7:30) despite us picking them up at 4:40 PM, enough time for two pill administrations. We will not be returning. *Update* Owner responded back asking for the name we listed under to verify that we were reviewing the correct location since our dogs were not under my name and they want to take corrective action. Lacking a reply button, I am posting it here. It was under Jackie Graves. Our pets are Jamie and Julie. Julie was the one soaking wet in urine and had diarrhea. Jamie also smelled foul though he was not wet. They immediately went to the bathroom multiple times upon exiting the building showing that they weren't walked an adequate amount which explains why one of our dogs was laying in her own urine. We have since also received a phone call in which they offered us complimentary baths which we declined as they've already been cleaned immediately upon our return home. As we entered, we noticed another dog being picked up also had diarrhea and the front attendant mentioned that it was a "diarrhea day" indicating that there were multiple dogs that day that were affected. This indicates a problem somewhere that should be addressed. If the front attendant genuinely think that the reasons for dogs getting diarrhea is stress as she told us, then they need to think of a better way to reduce the dog's stress when kenneled instead of just medicating, fixing the root cause instead of the symptom of the problem.

Five stars Aren't Enough. If I could give them 10 Stars I would. My little buddy of 17 years give or take, was having some major issues. I knew it wasn't good, and I was a mess. The vet tech and the vet have the best of demeanor, and went so far and Beyond the Call of Duty. In all my years on this planet, I have never seen people who care so much about their patients. Words can't describe it. It was a bad situation that my little girl was in. They couldn't have been any more understanding and more compassionate. It would be physically impossible. Even if I was to move a hundred miles away, I would still come back to Southwind Animal Clinic. They gave my little girl spa treatment and trimmed her nails. I know that made her feel better it's just an unfortunate situation right now. She could have charged me thousands upon thousands of dollars and I would have paid it. She discussed my options in a very empathetic way. Letting me compose myself bits and pieces at a time. She could have run a battery of tests and charged me thousands of dollars, but it wouldn't change what we already know. She spent a lot of time examining my little girl. I've never seen a vet spend that much time on a patient. She was very thorough and talkin to my little girl all along the time she was examining her. I could go on and on about how good the office Personnel were, how the amazing vet tech was, and how compassionate thorough and understanding the veterinarian was. Words just aren't good enough. I wish I could put Southwind Animal Clinic up for some type of award. I am so far beyond impressed with every person in that clinic. I cant believe how little they charged me as well. That says you care more about your patients and their parents. I really didn't realize how little it was until I got home and composed myself. To the vet tech, thank you so much for what you did for her today, trimming her nails, giving her a spa day, cleaning her up oh, I'm sure you made her feel loved and special. You're a special lady. The vet tec and the veterinarian especially.( I'm sorry I can't remember your names but I was out of sorts) I'll see you ladies on Rainbow Bridge. Yall are Saints in my book. I can't honor you enough with words. Thank you so much.

I have been coming to Southwind for YEARS, with my service dog, Redboy.. NEVER had a problem, the staff was always nice and professional, up until recently. They must have gotten a mostly new staff, and I have had NOTHING but problems. My fiance went up there today to get assistance only to be told "they don't do that here..." so he drove all the way back home. I told him to call them so I could talk to them, and ask for myself, only to be treated absolutely terrible. The front desk lady told me verbatim "Yeah, no, your dog is not up to date on shots..." and that is impossible because he got his shots last year. He died this year. And it literally broke my whole heart and I am still grieving. When I told her he didn't have his shots for this year was because he was dead... she laughed, then replied "Well, yeah. He is now." I have NEVER been more hurt and I have NEVER been treated like this by southwind and their old staff. They used to care about animals, not just the money... I now see how much has changed and NO, I will NOT be returning. Hateful staff, and an absolutely negative vibe all around. I am in disbelief.

Barbara Riley

They are always so nice. Very short waits if any as I am there early for my appts usually. The vets are super! Dr Briggs is the best. So kind. She explains things so well. The stuff is great also.

I've taken two of my cats to Southwind now, and I feel as if they are trying to make more money off of me. When my cat started vomiting and having diarrhea, they pushed me to do a bunch of tests to only come to the conclusion that they really didn't know what was wrong. They then referred me to Memphis Veterinary Hospital, which ran similar, but more extensive testing. Basically, I paid to do 2 ultrasounds, when if they had initially told me they only had the capability to do a partial ultrasound in the first place and referred me then, I wouldn't have had to shell out the extra $400 to their clinic. The one cat was seen by 2 different vets here, and they both gave me differing diagnoses. However based on reviews, and also the fact that the office is close to home, and thus a less stressful drive for my cats, I thought I'd take my other cat in to see them for an ingrown claw. It's possible that I had an off- visit with them. When I arrived, instead of focusing on the claw, they pressured me into getting shots and a number of other tests done. I do not mind putting out money to take care of my cats, but I feel pushed to spend more money. The vet tech gave me a dirty look when I told her I felt she was pushing me to spend mote money for things I did not ask for, especially since she was talking to me as if they had already scheduled me for the shots that I did not request. For example, I have indoor only cats, and she insisted I get the feline leukemia booster shot. I know the risks of the disease, but if my cat doesn't even want to venture outside, and I have no other cats coming into my home, the chances are slim that my kitties will contract the disease. Yet here is the vet tech trying to make me feel guilty for not opting for the booster. Do I want my vet to care for my animals? Yes. Do I want to feel like I'm being gouged for unnecessary expenses, especially without first discussing with me? No. I did like the Vet that I met today. She did suggest I get bloodwork and urine done to check the overall well- being of my cat, but she was not pushy about it. I will see what comes of it, but I am wary they may suggest I do other things that may not be needed.

From my experience, they really seem to be money driven doctors with no genuine care for your pet!!
