I have been using Richland Animal Clinic & Dr. Terry Brockman for ALL my pets since 1996. I trust them implicitly with the care of my babies and have no intentions of going anywhere else. During the last 20 years, they have helped me in more ways than I can count with traditional and holistic methods, the loss of many pets and then thru the process of bringing in new ones. I may be one of their biggest worry-warts but I love being able to call them when I need something and they know who I am and better yet, they know my pets. I guess they are like family to me. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a long-term (or short-term) relationship with their family veterinarian.

The front desk folks are friendly and helpful--Dr. Mueller did a great job with Katie--Sarah (tech) did too. Good communication and rapport building skills, and clear explanations of the needs and requirements for Katie's care. Over the years, this clinic has provided the best care ever for my two cats--and acupuncture and chiro care really helped Charlie, who died two years ago. The staff was exceptional during that difficult process of deciding his condition was nonrecoverable.

I took my small dog to Richland three times. Each time we went, the vet was very non-personable - when I asked questions concerning a procedure I received sarcastic responses. Also, when I asked for an estimate, I again received a sarcastic response and a very adamate “this is not a quote, only an estimate that is likely to change” - I left feeling like this vet doesn’t care about the animal and just wants money. The gentleman at the front desk is nice, but the lady at the front desk is very rude. Most times when I called no one answers. Overall vibe I get from the office is that they just want money and don’t care about treating animals with compassion and wanting loyal customers. I’ve switched to a different vet in town and receive 110% better service.

The customer service at RAC has declined steadily over the past 2 years. Even with appointments, it has taken over 20 minutes to be seen by a vet or assistant in the exam rooms the past 2x I’ve taken my dog. The main receptionist is rude and appears annoyed when you call or show up to your appointment.

Richland has the MOST wonderful folks! They all provided excellent medical care and LOVED our Maverick Girl (14 1/2 yr.old dachshund) through a 5 month long journey with brain cancer. I recently brought my dog here to get boarded because his normal vet didn’t have room over the holidays. The ladies at the front desk, the vet tech and the vet (I think Dr. Smith?) were so friendly and good with my dog that I decided to keep coming back for boarding and for vet services (AND it’s about 25 mins further away). Even though his former vet was great, the team at Richland just went above and beyond making my sometimes timid Cocker Spaniel feel comfortable. Thanks for being so caring!

The staff was very helpful when we called first thing to report that my cat was is distress. They fit us in immediately - no questions asked - and prioritized his care based on the severity of his condition. After a few tests they determined he was in heart failure and went into action immediately. The entire team from the front desk staff and vet tech to the veterinarian were so compassionate and took wonderful care of our cat, Catillac. We couldn't be more grateful for their fast response and appropriate triage of care to emergency services. When we walked in to the emergency vet, a whopping 10 minute drive, the staff had already been alerted by the Richland team that we were coming and got us in immediately. No one wants to be in this type of situation, but when it happens you hope someone will guide you through the process in a genuine and compassionate way. We absolutely found that in the Richland team and we are so grateful! They did a wonderful job and have won our loyalty for needs to come. I would highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, caring veterinarian.

This clinic always get my pets in no matter what. It's a little pricey but worth it. At a moments notice I can ask for medication refills, call with questions, I was able to get one dog in for emergency surgery and boarded overnight. All in all a stellar place

Both the Sonia and Dr Brockman were very friendly and professional. They both spent quite some time with my dogs. Explained everything they were going to do. Answered any questions no matter how trivial, and I received test results while I waited. When Norman had an allergic reaction I received an immediate appointment from Brook as well as a call from Dr Brockman. I was also told what symptoms to look for until my appointment. This is the type of service that makes this practice one I will always choose! Great job by all the staff. Thank you!

When I got my first dog on Nashville, I checked out many vets and settled on Richland Animal Clinic. It's close to my home, and, and their rates are way more affordable than other clinics in the area. The vets and staff have always been great with my dogs. They are also understanding of financial concerns and have always been honest if a test/shot/treatment/etc is recommended or necessary. They were able to get my senior dog in during a busy Fri so I didn't end up at the emergency vet, which I greatly appreciate! Dr. Knox calls me herself if there is anything of concern. We've seen a few in the practice and all have been great!

Recently we received some sad news about our dog's health and Dr. Flinn was so incredible. She was warm, empathetic, thoughtful. We have been coming to Richland for 5 years since we came to Nashville. We always liked it and once we started seeing Dr. Knox, we loved it. She has seen us through a Rottie with bone cancer and amputation and eventual demise and an American Bulldog with three different cancers and now an intestinal problem. She is smart, a good diagnostician and willin g to refer when she is not the right person. I drive from Donelon to go there if that tells you anything.

I called on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:15 pm and my call went straight to a voicemail message that said they’re closed but it gave business hours that indicate they should be open. It also said to leave a message but never gave me the option and kept repeating the same message. As the cliche goes “You only have one chance to make a first impression.” It’s too bad theirs was unprofessional and unhelpful.

One of the worst experiences I've had with a medical practice (human and animal). The front desk staff were not very friendly toward me, the customer, and were even worse acting toward one another. Now on to the problems I have with their medical practice. I am a RN so I have administrated many vaccinations in my time. I am always sure to educate my patients on the possibility of allergic reactions, but I received no education. And guess what, our kitten had a pretty severe reaction. I'm actually glad it happened to our cat and not someone else's bc i knew Something was wrong and was able to start treating her symptoms at home. What if this had happened to someone with no medical background or education about allergic reactions? I called in the morning to let them know about the reaction and the lady I spoke with had the most unpleasant tone and demeanor. I.WILL.NEVER.RETURN. If there were negative stars I would have chosen that option.

New to the area and needed to establish care for my 10 yo dog. Got an appointment quickly. Staff was kind and patient with my rambling on about my dog’s recent medical needs. Vet tech was so smart and great with my dog and made sure the visit was organized and all needs addressed. Care was thorough and Dr Benedetto(sp?) addressed all questions and concerns, she did not suggest or push any unnecessary treatment. She also makes herself available for any further questions, concerns or follow up after you leave and called with a full recount of the dog’s blood work the following day.
