Providence Animal Hospital is a gem!! Very reasonable prices and amazing care. Their boarding is great and very safe and clean. I want to thank Dr. Hollis, Debbie, Linda and staff for their amazing compassion for us and our dog Max when we had to put him to sleep last Monday. Dr. Hollis was with us every step of the way, answering all our questions. He was very kind and caring even sitting on the floor with me while Max took his last breath. I will never go anywhere else. He has been our vet for 7 years. Truly amazing group of people:)

Best vet we've been to. He spends a ton of time with you and is very knowledgeable about any topic that comes up. They have separate waiting rooms where you can take your dogs when it's busy so that they aren't freaking out the whole time, and a really nice covered porch on the back where you can sit with them as well. Very professional and kind, and the facility is very clean. The vet gets on the floor with your dog for the exam instead of putting on the cold metal table where they're scared and uncomfortable. Our dogs in the past have been scared whenever it was time to go to other vets, but our current dogs love going because they're so good to them there. A++ and would definitely recommend.

This is no animal hospital and you need to stop advertising that you are. I call 12/20/17 about teacup poodle that was falling over and I was afraid he would die. They told me I was not a client so they were booked up. You people make me sick, and anyone who truly loves their pet should not go here. You are not a hospital, when someone calls with an emergency 5 hours before you close and all you care about is you. Do not go here.

My dog was a tough puppy- he had stomach issues for the first 4/5 months of his life. We finally tried a human grade food that doctor Hollis recommended and his issues were gone in literally 3 days. I’m def glad Dr Hollis has done his research on food. I don’t think just any vet would have figured him out.

We've been taking our Poms to Dr. Hollis long before he had his own facility. This wonderful "doctor of animals" has always shown such love and compassion, and we appreciate that he takes time to fully explain things we don't understand. Our little Pom; "Skipper" has Cushing's Disease. Dr. Hollis ran tests and started him on medication...it took a little while for Skipper to respond, but now at 8 years old, he acts like a puppy again. Thank you, Dr. Hollis, for your keen observation & knowledge. We're impressed with Providence Animal Hospital, knowing that Dr. Hollis chose the latest state of the art technology, created a comfortable kennel, that is as clean and odor-free as a human hospital. The staff is always friendly and helpful, we so appreciate this place. We simply would not take our pets anywhere else.

My name is Chadwick. My parents take me to see Dr. Hollis at Providence Animal Hospital. Although I hate going to the vet and getting shots, if you have to go to one, Dr. Hollis is the best I have seen. I have sniffed the place out and I can tell other tough guys this is a pretty cool place if you really have to see a doc. He is the only doc I have seen since I was born. A word to the wise: If you do not make your yearly appointments he will send your parents a card in the mail to remind them to get you in there on time. If you gota go, go to see Doc Hollis and to there on time.

He and his staff have always gone above and beyond to help us. Took Jake, my 114lb. lab mix back for his annual check up. Again I was impressed with the service. My large dog is rather difficult when its nail trimming time and I always have to pay people to trim them for us since it takes a team. The staff at Providence Animal Hospital was able to trim his nails to the point where two days later I'm still impressed at the job they did. It seems silly but it's been a huge problem for us. The friendly environment is also a plus, as well as the comfortable couch in the exam room. After a long week at work I was ready to take a nap on the couch, lol. They also reviewed my dogs teeth issues and gave me several pricing options, which were about half of what I was use to hearing for teeth cleaning back in Virginia. All in all a clean and friendly environment with staff that can handle anything. Dr. Hollis impresses me with his knowledge every time I talk to him. Thanks again, Dr. Hollis.

Dr Hollis has been such an outstanding vet for our Willie. Willie has really bad skin allergies and Dr Hollis' knowledge of the latest treatment options has led to us finally giving him relief of his constant itching. Dr Hollis' office staff, Linda, Debbie and others are always so pleasant and helpful. If we ever have questions we always get a call back and get refills in a very timely manner. Of course, the fact that Dr Hollis is an Auburn University grad certainly is a plus! War Eagle!

I really WANTED to like this place. I used to take my 4 pets to Dr. Hollis years ago at a different practice, so when I moved near Providence, I thought I'd switch to him. We went twice and boarded our dogs there once. The pros: not busy, easy to get appointments, not a chaotic waiting room, quick to be seen, and Dr. Hollis is super nice (as is the staff). The Cons: MUCH more expensive than Countryside. They take the pet out of the room into the back for examination. The vet and staff spent far more time trying to convince me to switch to the brands of heartworm and flea meds (and food) that they sell than they did with my pet - they even have laminated printouts to try to convince you it's a good deal (it's not). Dr. Hollis told me their prices are "at or better than what you find online" which was not true. (And when I called to ask, the staff member said he will not write a script to be filled anywhere else.) Boarding is pay at the time of reservation and non-refundable. I felt like this vet was more about the money and less about my pets. Super nice guy, that Dr. Hollis, but we're going back to Countryside even if it is a much farther drive.
