I've never had to face a pet passing away, but my little Autumn was severely injured. The staff was so caring and kind. We were updated on her condition regularly, and they even sent us a paw print to memorialize her. This centeris a gem in the Memphis area!

Chrissy Carlson

They are always very professional - personable and caring. Prices are a little higher than your average vets office but you also get better than average care - more advanced treatments, great experience and well trained staff. My dog even loves to go visit them and that is the biggest comfort of all!

Maria Bortters

Memphis Veterinary specialists are a great part of Memphis. They have emergency services and they work by referral from your primary veterinarian. But what are use them for is doing the BAER hearing test, which needs no referral. I think it is a great service and helps me from having to go out of town to the University, this is such a helpful service. The staff is friendly, welcoming and happy to see you when you come inside. The doctor that does the test/results is great. So we will continue to come here for that service or any other services that we may be referred to at this location for many years to come...

They are great with animals and the best with animal eye issues. ❤️

Young pit bull dog hit by a car in front of our house. Dog came up to our garage bleeding with at least an apparent broken leg maybe much more. He was in a lot of pain. We treated as best we could and brought him here. No one would even help. None. Left us in the parking lot after a casual triage of the dog and walked off. Pathetic customer service. No heart. Dog meant nothing to them. Refused to treat or help us figure out what to do with him. We own 6 show horses, 4 dogs, and several barn cats. This is the last place I would ever bring our own animals.

Dr Walsh and Dr Maxwell have saved our dog not once but twice!! This is an amazing group of specialized veterinarians and nurses. So grateful to have a specialist and er clinic in one building. For those who have complained about money and expense, you get what you pay for and thats quality care. Also, they are excellent for giving estimates and staying within the estimate range, giving updates daily. Thank you PetMed and MVS for the love, care, and compassion you have given our four legged children. We thank you for all you care and support

Great place if your pet needs a specialist. Very expensive, but worth it to help your four legged babies

James Shull

This animal hospital is outstanding , they saved my 11 month old Lab who was poisoned and gave her round the clock care and kept us informed every few hours!

Kristen Elaine Bogue Wiseman

Great Group, they were quick and responsive with emergency services. After making a phone call they met us at emergency door with stretcher for our fur baby. They were very thorough going over every possible procedure to save our fur baby, they were very upfront with emergency expensies , they also showed much empathy by sharing that procedures may not be successful. They allowed us privacy making our decision and allowed us as much as we needed to spend our last moments with Speed. Very Caring group and we'll equipped faculty. Sincerely, AS and KW Situations on having to put your baby down is just as tough as loosing a human being, fur babies our innocent individuals, having a caring staff and veterinarian doesn't take the pain away, but by all means made it a little more comforting.... Thank you for such great care on preparing Speeds journey to Heaven!!! God Bless....

Excellent service was given by all of the personnel from the guy sweeping the floor to the Dr! I had to visit the clinic on a Sunday night with my injured dog on and was taken to a room as soon as I walked thru the doors. The techs came in, took my baby right away and within 5mins I was speaking to Dr Wolverton and getting a prognosis. Fantastic!

I took my dog to them Saturday because he was deathly ill and I didnt have any other option with all of the regular vets being closed. We sit in a room for 45 minutes waiting on the vet. One qtip up his butt and $314 dollars later, they gave me some antibiotics, told me to follow up with another vet on Monday, wished me luck, and sent me home. He died early yesterday morning and I am completely devastated. He could have been saved, but not when you go to people who are more about how much they can charge you than helping your animal. I would not reccomend this place to anyone.

My husband and I had to take my little dog gizmo to have eye surgery on both eyes the stuff was friendly and Dr Jane Ashley Huey was the doctor who did his eye surgery she talked with us about what was going to happen with his treatment said if we needed anything to let them know Gizmo had his surgery 06/06/2018 My husband says we had to get gizmo some new eyes

Susan Austin

I agree with Julie. I took my dachshund in to see about having a perianal hernia repaired. Their estimate was $2400 - $3000. I called Dr. Parker and the same procedure was quoted at $845 plus the cost of his post op medication. He could do it three days sooner too.

Chris H

They want 130 dollars just for a consultation on a teeth cleaning. Petvax across the street does the consultation for free.

I see a lot of reviews based on the emergency room site which is actually a totally separate business than MVS. They just use the same building. I recently had to use both. We had to rush my girl in after a biopsy site began to hemorrhage. The ER side was able to control bleeding - although that dr could have learned some bedside etiquette. However, the MVS people were coming into work as we were finishing up. My dog was already scheduled for a possible amputation but due to the severity they agreed to take her immediately. The surgery was successful. We were able to visit anytime of the day or night after the first 24 hours. The staff were always helpful, friendly, and available whenever we needed them. The doctor called every time he said he would and communication regarding surgery and after care was wonderful. The cost was not cheap but certainly in line for this level of procedure. I have talked to many others with tripods in the week following the procedure and it is clear that my dog is doing WAY better than most when she went into the facility in far worse condition. The fact that they were prepared to do transfusions and had 24x7 care for her made all of the difference. I would definitely and highly recommend if your dog is in need of specialty care!

I cannot recommend or thank Dr. Huey enough! She is absolutely amazing and so is her sweet team. I have been worried sick over my Shih Tzu and her problematic bug eyes for the past few years but Dr. Huey has saved them again and again. I was so overwhelmed with joy this morning that I left her office with happy tears and everyone was so incredibly kind to me even though I was a blubbering mess over how relieved I was. I'd give her a million stars, not just 5!

Laura Wooldridge

The care our dog received at this clinic was excellent. Dr. Bayliss was born to be a veterinarian. She went above and beyond for our family.

Zac Brown

Very nice staff, understanding, patient, and kind. Situations for going here are not good but they know how to treat people and of course animals in distress.

Randy Hammett

Excellent specialist in their fields. Treat pet and owner with respect and listen to their concerns.

Debbie Jensen

This is an animal specialist hospital. Are they more expensive than the walk-in PetVax? Yes but you get what you pay for. They will give you an estimate of charges (usually erring on the high side) before they proceed with anything beyond the assessment. Over the past 15 years we have looked to them to help us with ill or aging pets. They are kind, compassionate, and incredibly skilled and well-trained. If you care about your pet, and need a specialist, you will be grateful they chose Memphis for their practice. We certainly are.

From the front desk to all of the staff they were all Excellent! Chopper had ACL surgery with Dr. Maxwell and we could not have had a better surgeon. They let us know everything that was happening with Chopper from when he was going to start to when he was resting comfortable. I wish I could remember all of the names that I talked with. I called so many times, asking so many questions about meds to wondering if Chopper is ok on the meds. They were all so nice and compassionate. I went to other places before deciding on this place. So Happy and Grateful I found them! Chopper is doing Great and we are forever Thankful to all of you there! Marisa & Tom Jones...& Chopper :)

Whenever I have an emergency I come here. They are very thorough and caring giving you all your options for care for your pet.

They are so caring towards their furry patients. Dr. Greenfield is the best veterinary dentist in town. Paige one of the people who check you in and make follow-up appointments with is wonderful. So friendly and upbeat. If your dog or cat needs to see a specialist this is the place to bring them. I would definitely recommend this place.

Kandy Crossno

Very friendly, thorough and compassionate...my Buddy wasn't as nervous here as with most veterinary clinics, the windows in each room went all the way to the floor and amazingly made for a calmer experience. Also surprisingly no more costly than the average little local veterinarians.

R C

I have taken all 3 of my pups here. Dr Bondy, his staff, the front desk and the night crew have all treated my furry family with excellent care. They all have taken time to return all my calls, answer all my questions and thoroughly explain all instructions for aftercare. This was an exceptionally rough year with all 3 pups needing some type of emergency care. I am extremely grateful that we have this facility and such a caring loving staff.

Ernestine Smith

These people save lives. My Yorkshire Terrier, Ziva, had a liver shunt which, if left untreated, would end her life. Thanks to Dr. Maxwell and the entire surgery team, my little Ziva has a chance at a normal life. They called and updated me regularly, let me come to visit Ziva every day, and gave her EXCELLENT care. The services at MVS are for the animal owner who feels like their pet is a family member. The individualized attention that is given is well worth what is charged. I am 150% satisfied with the service, attention, and wonderful care Ziva received.

In February was sent from Little Rock for emergency back surgery for my dog who was unable to walk. It was initially thought to be a herniated disc but turned out to be a tumor. Dr. Maxwell and his staff were so attentive and understanding to me and my dog. I couldn't have asked for a better team from the front desk to the nurses and anesthesia department to care for my dog during her stay. His staff quickly got us a referral to radiation oncology and she is now almost two months out and is happily running in the yard. We are lucky to have such a great resource so close to us. I wish I could remember the names of everyone who cared for my dog (and me), during this extremely stressful time to thank them individually.

Michael Murray

Asked if a particular procedure could be preformed and the front desk said they would ask the doctor. The doctor then looked at my dog to see if they could do the procedure. The doctor then said they couldn't use the equipment because one of the doctors wasn't there. Then they charged me $165 for not doing anything.

Fantastic vets really high on the price

Delynn Byars

Have had two pets here for two surgeries and they could not have been more professional or friendly! Called when my dog was going under anesthesia and again when the surgery was done. Called again that night to give an update and then again in the morning. I never worried at all about the level of care my dogs would receive. When my border collie mix was in for a follow up with the oncologist and I was out of town she allowed my friend to include me via video chat on his phone so I could hear her first hand and ask questions. They aren't the least expensive in town but they are certainly outstanding if you have a need your regular vet cannot fulfill. And the emergency clinic staff are great too. I know it's a separate company, but they do wonderful work. If you have a pet that has to stay overnight the staff at PetMed are happy to answer your call and give you an update on your pet.

Cindy Wylie

My dog had a deadly emergency. The staff work very quickly to assess her and update us with her condition. They were very efficient, thorough but most importantly, they were very compassionate. I highly recommend them.

Debbie Nichols

They have cared for my cats for over two years. The cats love them and so do we.

Natalie Boucher

I would not recommend taking your pet here after hours unless there is absolutely no where else left to go. They couldn't figure out how to give us a proper estimate of cost (which is outrageous to begin with) for a solid 20 minutes with us just standing there. When you're worried sick over your cat and it's 1:15 in the morning, the last thing you want to hear is two women arguing how much to charge you in front of your face. Completely unprofessional. When I came to pick her up, I requested a copy of her medical chart to which they said "oh don't worry we fax that info off to her vet." Should have known that wouldn't get done. My vet tried calling them to get it sent over and hours later, they still hadn't done it. Never taking her back there again.

Jessica Gray

Very nice staff and clean building. When my dog passed it was a hard time for my family and they were so helpful. Just as well they treated my other dog allergies quickly.

Brandi Johnson

The staff was nice when we brought in our cat Ginger, however once seated in the room our cat was taken away to see the vet. This is not how our regular vet does things at all and it was very uncomfortable to have Ginger taken to an unknown location, with an unknown person. I’m used to staying right with our pets while at the vet. We were then told that I had to pay to speak to another vet over the phone, in addition to their bill, because I had given our cat Tylenol for the pain before knowing it was toxic. This was frustrating and I felt that we were being taken advantage of. I felt that the vet I was already paying emergency fees to should know the treatment. It turns out she reportedly did know the treatment but it’s “protocol” to call the other vet. I believe this is wrong to charge people for multiple vets unecessarily. The vet finally came and told us that she would have to put our cat to sleep for sutures to her tail and she would have to stay overnight for observation. This would be over $1200 in total. I asked for local anesthesia instead and she said no because the cat might bite her. This was unexceptable to me. I was being forced to pay two vets because of some protocol and now I had to allow them to put Ginger to sleep, which can be dangerous, instead of getting local anesthesia because the vet might get bitten. I asked to see a different vet and was told that it was her or I could pay $87 and go to another clinic just to pay the same fee again and get the same options. She had done nothing except be rude and unhelpful and yet I was at her mercy because of our family pet. I finally consented to let her put Ginger to sleep and close her wounds because I didn’t feel that I had any other choice. As I’m sitting here waiting all I can think about is I hope that mean woman doesn’t hurt Ginger because I questioned her. I would strongly suggest another emergency clinic but unfortunately it seems that all three local emergency clinics are owned by the same company. This is my first experience here and I hope to never come again. I also hope that Dr Amy Walsh will learn how to professionally educate her clients family and not feel that she has to take advantage of people to make a living.

Alex Collier

Horrible service. Front desk ladies are completely rude. Walked into the medical room and the doctor was very rude did not look at my rabbit at all basically didn't give me medicine for her. He just looked at her no blood work, no urine test, no shots nothing. He just tried coaching me on how to take care of my rabbit the whole time. Instead of helping my animal get healthy he just gave me a lecture about how to care for my bunny. Nurse handled the rabbit wrong, by holding her on her back. All they did was trim her nails because I asked them too and they decided not to mention it's a extra 15$ which doesn't even count for the 75$ fee they do not mention you have to pay just to be seen. The whole place cares only about money. They were rough with my bunny and she was shaking after. Don't recommend this place for anyone. Complete rude people.

Amanda Waldon

Such a professional place. They have the state of the art everything for your pet, but you still feel like they love your baby as much as you do.

I brought my dog in for a bloated stomach after his 'regular' vet, Haley Rush with Cordova Station Animal Clinic, turned me away. They charged me nearly three hundred dollars to do an ultrasound of his stomach. Desperate, I agreed. My dog passed away the next week, and I called to ask them if they would handle his remains because his regular vet was closed (it was Sunday). The brash, nasty woman named Brandy told me I could leave him there for eighty dollars, or allow some funerary service to pick him up for a few dollars more. When I told her I could not pay that right away, she swiftly told me they didn't work out arrangements. I went to a different place in a different part of town, where they were RESPECTFUL, kind, compassionate, and waived the fee. I am DISGUSTED with the way I was treated. This facility is far more interested in the dollars they rake in than the care they give to pets. Avoid if you care about your animal.

After a life threatening event to my sweet babygirl, we’re excited to say that she is home safe! She had hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and became severely dehydrated. The veterinarian told us that they would do everything they could but that death was a possibility due to the severity of her illness and at such a rapid pace. Thanks to the aggressive approach PetMed took towards Piper and getting her well, she is able to start her recovery from home. We are so blessed to have been able to walk out of those doors today with our sweet girl and owe it all to memphis veterinary specialists! They were so courteous towards us and my family as they sensed our sadness and comforted us in every way they could. The vet called us and kept us informed about her the entire time and we are just so grateful!! Thank you PetMed for saving our baby’s life, again!!

Kevin Mahaffy

Love this place. Saved out l our puppy's life when he started having violent seizures.

Can't say enough about how awesome Dr. Greenfield is! Dr. G is a quality vet dentist and I would definitely use him again for my dog's dental needs. My dog presented with severe facial swelling due to a cracked and abscessed upper 4th pre-molar (a very difficult tooth to remove without surgery) on a Wednesday, and we saw Dr. G on a Friday. Dr. G examined my dog with great care and quickly scheduled surgery for the following Monday (thanks to a last minute cancellation). He was professional, took his time examining my dog and explaining the situation clearly, and performed a quality surgery on my dog. He ended up doing full mouth x-rays and surgically removing both upper 4th pre-molars (a very serious procedure no regular vet should do themselves without x-rays and dental tools). He even found and corrected an issue related to a tooth my regular vet pulled (left a root in the socket which led to abscess) during a teeth cleaning 6 weeks before surgery (they didn't notice the dental issues Dr. G saw). After surgery, Dr. G showed me pictures of the x-rays and the teeth and explained to me what he saw in the x-rays that showed him these teeth needed to come out. Before leaving after surgery, Dr. G gave me his personal cell number and told me to call or text if we needed him (a huge plus). Dr. G cares about his furry patients and goes above and beyond to make sure your dog's dental health is top notch. He is very friendly and I had an extremely positive experience with him and his team. Dental issues in dogs might not present themselves in an obvious manner--which is why you should seek a specialist if your dog is having symptoms. Now that the surgery is over (2 weeks post-op) my dog has more energy than ever before, even for a 7 year old dog. It's crazy to see how the pain of those abscessed teeth were bothering her-- and she has a very high pain threshold. I can tell that she definitely feels a ton better now! Don't ignore the signs of dental issues in your dog. You wouldn't wait months if you had a broken tooth, nor would you go to your regular doctor with a broken tooth! Photo is swelling right below the left eye socket before seeing Dr. G.

I have the utmost confidence in the doctors and the staff here. I used to work here, and I witnessed firsthand, day to day, the commitment, passion, and diligence in the practice, including the work of the amazing veterinary technicians. If my pets are ever in need of special treatment, I would head to MVS in a heartbeat.

Danetta Carter

Dr. Brown is amazing. She's so knowledgeable and is able to explain the complex simply. Staff is very friendly.

Everyone that works at MVS is kind and makes you feel at ease about your pet as soon as you walk through the doors! I give them 10 stars!

Guess Who

It's because of this place my dog died. The vet cared more about money he could generate instead of helping my dog. My dog was suffering and WE had to tell them to come help him. My dog never made it home. The grieving we are going through should never have happened. The vet should have taken care of him first then talked about possible other options. I guess that's what happens when a corporation owns the company. It's all about the money. Please do not use this practice. If I could give it a minus star I would.

1st visit 1,000. 2nd visit 500.00. Zero communication regarding what their services will cost. Zero customer service. VERY DISSATISFIED.

WARNING!!! Literally the worst service I have had since I have became a pet owner. I came in at 9PM. It's almost 2AM and they still haven't even started. 500 dollars, promised times that weren't kept and 5+ hours later and my dog is still not done. DO NOT COME HERE if you want to be out any time soon. Ps. They don't seem to much value your time either.

Our nearly 9 year old Cairn terrier, Sadie, became suddenly deathly ill one morning in April 2018 with Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). When we arrived at MVS that morning her red blood cells were at 5% and she was very near death. Our regular vet called ahead and the staff met me at the car and took her straight in and began to treat her. During those first days the staff encouraged us to visit Sadie and we did several times a day. We were allowed to have private time with her and the staff even came outside with us to set up a picnic for Sadie to encourage her to eat. The survival rate for this condition is very low. After only 3 days she was ready to come home, much improved and with a long medication regimen to be followed for the next few months. Dr. Peter Bondy and his WONDERFUL staff have treated our baby as if she was their own. I can't praise this staff, team of doctors and nurses enough for making sure that we understood this horrible condition and giving us the chance to have our precious baby girl with us for many more years. Sadie still has a long way to go and we are guarded that this could occur again, but with Dr. Bondy's vigilance, her red blood cell count was 50% yesterday, only 4 weeks after the onset of this terrible condition. Sadie is running, jumping and playing again! I can never thank this wonderful hospital enough for giving us our baby girl back! If not for them, she would not have been alive but a few more minutes. I am crying tears of joy now! I thank God for this wonderful place and I highly recommend MVS and these wonderful, caring and knowledgeable Veterinary Specialists!

John Hughes

This is a great vet and facility. They have dermatologist for allergy testing your pet. They also have emergency services and do perform surgeries. It's also in a great location right by shelby farms dog park. The staff are very friendly and are willing to help and answer any questions or concerns you may have. It's also a very clean facility. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for quality pet care.

Nikki Tbo

They need to go back to school. I can't believe a 'doctor' called my dog a "pittie" when my dog is clearly an American Bulldog, even on the files it says "Bulldog, American" and when she said that word I said "Pitties?" and she replied "Yeah all pitties are like that" I said "She's an American Bulldog, not a pitbull." and she look at me rudely and shrugged and said "eh they're all pitties" and rolled her eyes. No they're not...they are a bully breed "Boxers, Staffies, Bulldogs, Pitbulls, etc" they're all different. Then she saw my dog sit with her two front legs on the side (a famous AB way to sit, all ABs do it) and she said "uhhh why is she sitting like that?" and we told her that all ABs do it. Just stupid, hopefully we never have any emergency again and just continue going to Banfield hospital to Doctor Sullivan, who's an actual doctor and very knowledgeable and respectful too. The male technician was good though.

Erica

My fathers dog was being treated for a spinal injury. From all signs he will recover and is well cared for while he was there but we did have an issue when we went to visit. Understandably the staff had an emergency case pop up but we were left waiting for almost half an hour in a side room and were not aware. All in all though I would bring any pet here to be taken care of.

After my local Vet and I struggled for 18 months with my Irish Wolfhound's skin issues I sought out Dr. Tina Brown. She made a 30 second exam, sniffed his coat, and stated, "Bacterial infection, I see them all the time. I'll take a skin scraping, do some cultures, find the correct antibiotic. He will need three weeks of meds plus a special shampoo every four days. He'll be just fine and all his fur will grow back." We are halfway through treatment and the results are nothing short of AMAZING. I'm just sorry (poor doggy) I had not consulted her sooner. Yes, the cost is substantial...but worth it.

I will be the first to say I have extremely high expectations when it comes to the care of my dog and this amazing place is exceeding them all. I have only worked with Dr. Brown & Dr. Maxwell but let me tell you they are a God send and I am so so thankful we were referred to them. I have read reviews from others regarding the receptionists and they couldn't be any more wrong. They have always been so incredibly warm, accommodating, kind, and extremely nice to work with and even remember my name as well as my dog's. I was a bit skeptical of this place after reading the reviews but let me tell you, this place and the care they give is TOP NOTCH.

Cristin Caccamisi

I have nothing but positive things to say about this place! 2 weeks ago, I got a call from my vet telling me that I needed to take my dog to the PetMed ER immediately because her platelet count was severely low. So at 10PM, we arrive at PetMed and they get to work right away. I am a crying mess obviously and they were all very kind and explained to me everything we could expect. They transferred our care to MVS the next day, to Dr. McDonald and Dr. Brady. Both were excellent about keeping me updated and communicating with me more than daily. It got very scary at one point but I trusted that we were in good hands. A week later, I was able to bring my baby girl home!!! I am so thankful for the people who work here because I know I wouldn't have my dog right now without them. I am extremely grateful!

Lauren Jones

I first want to say prior I have had positive experiences with bringing my pets here until last night. I had a ferret with a medical emergency and to my complete shock and disbelief was turned away bc the on call DR. has a allergy...THAT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! Either have a secondary DR that can at least examine ANY pet should this happen again or just do not be a EMERGENCY ROOM VET if you cannot perform as such.

A few years ago, my family and I brought our cat here and they did absolutely nothing to help him; however, they had offered to put down but we refused. He died around a week later because they didn't want to do what they are paid to do. P.s. they are money hungry, so I recommend taking your pets somewhere affordable. So long review short, if you love your pets, please, for the love of God, send your pets somewhere else.

Lisa Blake

As owners of the most wonderful pug in the world, we were very hesitant to have Max under anesthesia for much needed dental surgery. After many family discussions, we finally decided it was best for his overall health and went forward with the surgery. Dr. Greenfield and his staff could not have been more wonderful! They explained the procedure, answered any questions, kept in touch during the procedure and afterwards. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Greenfield, especially if you have a high-risk breed as we do. Max is doing great! Thank you, Dr. Greenfield and MVS!

John Burr

Absolutely top-notch! Everything they said and did reflected great respect and understanding. Their entire staff appears to be extremely well trained and knowledgeable. We were very pleased to discover such a resource was here locally.

Terry Singleton

They attitude was not as good as Clinton and Chase I was disappointed in their service.

Nina Luttrell

Great place! Very caring staff!

Took my cat in on Thanksgiving Day due to an emergency situation. The doctor was nice, but was way off with the diagnosis and kept wanting to perform test after test to rule stuff out. Took my cat to our regular vet the next day and she diagnosed her correctly with no tests at all! The price was extremely excessive and ZERO diagnosis when we left!!!! It is really a shame that people get taken advantage of in the worst way at this establishment. Chances are you are already traumatized and then when you see the bill, it makes it all the worse. Feel so sorry for people who have no choice but to neglect their pets the care they need due to the EXTREME price gouging.

Dr Brown is compassionate and caring. My pup has severe allergies and already she is doing better. I highly recommend MVS.

Slow. Disingenuous. Feels like you're dealing with used car salesmen.

Was the most professional, caring, and informed veterinarian care my dog has ever had.. THANK YOU. I recommend most highly if you need advanced animal care.

My dog had broken teeth because she loves to chew rocks. They were not diseased so my dentist could not pull them and referred me to Memphis Veterinary Specialists. I was so happy with how they treated my dog AND ME! They were very careful explaining all the needed procedures and costs. I was given options based upon treatments that could be done now and what could wait. The procedures were done quickly and my dog is doing very well. I am happy with Memphis Veterinary Specialists and will go back anytime my dog needs her teeth cleaned. I also had an experience with Memphis Veterinary Specialists and Pet Med. Pet Med is the emergency clinic I brought my neighbors dog to when he got hit by a car. My neighbor was taken to the hospital and I brought his dog into Pet Med. The dog could not have gotten better care. I was so happy and so was his owner when he got out of the hospital.

They are about 20 miles from me. My dog had dry eye. They prescribed drops. I visited them several times in a few years. Pleasant people, clean comfortable waiting area. Good doctor. For what they did I believe my regular vet could have done it but certainly have nothing negative to say about them. Perhaps a bit more expensive.

Our cat has several issues and was almost blind after seeing dr. Huey and being on medication for about a month he's gotten back to his old self thank you so much to everyone at Memphis Veterinary Specialists

I only wish there were more stars. I took my little Yorkie Luke there last week after an attack by we aren't sure. They immediately took him in and continued CPR. Without going on and on, they tried their level best for several days to keep bringing him back, till his little heart and lungs just gave up. They are the most kind, compassionate people in the industry. I told them going in, I don't care what it cost, just save my dog. I have to tell you, in my opinion, the bill was not near enough for all they did.. When she started to tell me my balance I was kind of scared. When she told me, All I could say was are you kidding me, that's it????? She said they tried their bet and I knew they did., God just had a different plan. But right now I am thanking HIM for them and theirs teams. Thank y'all again-=- Luke's Dad and Momma

If you like being treated like dirt, have money to throw away, and don't love your animal; then, this is the place for you. I can honestly say that I rarely ever meet someone I don't like, but the young tattooed lady that works up front is an absolutely horrible person.

melanie english

Review for Barden A. Greenfield, DVM. DAVDC ---History--- The past 2 or 3 years every vet I've visited (and there have been several!) all of them have told me that my miniature schnauzer Cooper’s teeth looked G-R-E-A-T and there wasn’t even a need for a yearly cleaning!!

Kayla Pollard

Everyone was incredibly nice and handled my big scaredy cat of a dog perfectly. He had to go in to get his eyes checked and they walked me through the steps they would take and the diagnosis. (He seems to just have less iris tissue so his pupils don't contract as far as most. He is otherwise healthy.)

David Messer

Girls at front counter were rude and absolutely no help upon drop off and pick up of my pet. The price gouging is ridiculous! The only bright spot was the vet that I talked to . To bad you have no choice but to go here when something bad happens to your pet.

Do not take your pet here!! They do not care for your pet only your money. They had wanted to do $1,100 worth of work on my dog to find out if my pet needs to be put down. So glad I said no, when they bring my dog back out, my dog was in pain around his chest area!! They drew blood cost me $434. My poor dog suffered their torture, and it’s so weird that pet owners are not allowed back with their pets. I was so scared for my dog being in their care all alone with strangers who did not care. I took my dog the next day to tender care pet hospital on covington pike, Dr Allan saved my dog. My dog is healthy and happy today.

The only reasons to take your pet to these Vets are: 1) If you pet has cancer. Their oncology department -Dr. Hillman is absolutely the best. 2) If the clinic have a diagnostic tool that your primary care vet does not have and he/she has requested the test. I have dealt with several departments within this clinic and other than the oncology dept. your primary vet can give your pet just as good if not better care than these vets.

Waited over an hour after my appointment time but Dr. Huey made up for it. She is awesome! Thanks for explaining so much to me. Hoping this finally fixes my baby's eye.
