Dr Jeff has come to our home twice. Both times he was coming to euthanize one of our dogs. Dr Jeff is very knowledgeable and kind and was very nice to us on both occasions. However, his office staff is pretty cold. On both occasions, the guy at the office was calling for a credit card before Dr. Jeff had even left my house! I understand that this is ultimately a business, and they need to be paid promptly. Thats fine. However, I have unfortunately had to put pets down before, and I've never been treated so coldly by office staff. In fact, those offices never mentioned payment, understanding that this is extremely difficult...and mailed me an invoice a few weeks later, with a card offering condolences. Depite being treated so coldly by Jim, I have always recommended them to my friends, as being able to have my pets treated at home is wonderful. I tried not to let Jims scrappy customer service affect my view of Dr. Jeff. Today I had to call Dr Jeff's office. One of our pets passed away and we are still receiving shot notices from them. I was trying to explain in a polite way that she had passed and ask to be removed from the list. Jim was very short with me and said "Oh...Muffin died...got it...we'll take you out." Click. No, oh I'm sorry to hear that. No, I'm sorry, we didnt know..we'll make sure you dont get anything else." Nope-nothing but a CLICK and a hang up. While Dr Jeff is wonderful, I will NEVER use this practice again or recommend them to anyone again. Dr Jeff and his wife should find a new employee that is able to at least pretend to care about a pets passing.
