My childhood Jack Russell was 16 years old when my grandma called for the help of Lap of Love. We wanted to make the best most informed decision but I knew it was his time. The doctor confirmed what I had suspected and we made the heartbreaking decision to let Hoss go. He got to drift off peacefully to sleep between myself and my dad. I'm grateful that I got to be with him at the end and that we were able to make the right call to save him from greater suffering. A very special thank you to the Lap of Love team for allowing us to be there and hold our beloved pet in his final moments and for taking such good care of him.

We had to make the tough decision to say goodbye to our sweet senior kitty, Hagrid, when his health started declining rapidly. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make. I knew I wanted a home option for him so he wouldn’t be under any stress and comfortable. I came across Lap of Love on an Internet search and as soon as I called I broke down. The lady who answered my call was Angie and she was very patient and understanding as I tried to speak to her through uncontrollable sobs. She had an appointment set up for us for the next day with Dr. Abra. I can not tell you how much we appreciate the service you provide. She greeted me with a hug as soon as she walked in our door and didn’t rush anything. She explained the process, listened to our stories about him in the 16 years that he was with our family, and was so gentle and loving toward him. Her compassion and support really helped us cope with one of the hardest days of our lives. If anyone has to go this route for their furry family members, Lap of Love is the best thing you can do for them. Thank you so much for being there for us during this difficult time.

Nashville pet parents, this is the most amazing service. (Don’t let the Lebanon address sway you, Dr. Harp works in Nashville) When it was time to say goodbye to my 14 yr old corgi/golden retriever mix, Lucy, I wanted her last moments to be at home. Dr. Harp was so caring and let me hold my baby and read her a poem as she fell asleep peacefully surrounded by her family instead of on a cold unfamiliar vet table. He made a clay paw print and clipped a lock of her hair for me. I cherish the fact her last morning was so perfect and peaceful. Thank you SO much for providing this service. I can’t imagine doing it any better way- for both pets and pet parents when it’s time to say goodbye.

Euthanizing my sweet Corgi Lucky Jack was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but Dr. Abra's caring and gentle demeanor made it peaceful at least. She arrived on schedule, gave us plenty of time to say our final goodbyes, and reassured us the whole time that we were doing the unselfish thing by letting Lucky go. I am filled with grief, and will be for a long time, but I'm glad we were able to gently take him into his long sleep with his little face resting in my hands in our home. Definitely recommend Lap of Love.

lap of love was recommended by our vet (companion animal hospital, goodletsville, tn.) and we would highly recommended them also. dr. osorio came to our house to preform the euthanasia of kramer (our german shepard). she was very compassionate and explain her every move during the process.

I was at first hesitant to schedule an appointment with Lap of Love for two reasons: 1. my dog Buddy was especially nervous around unfamiliar males he encountered and only a male vet was available on such short notice 2. They seemed more corporate than the other places that do this in the Nashville area. I couldn't have had a better experience with the last minutes of my dog Buddy's life. Dr. Reagan Harp is an amazing human being, at no time did he try to force a relationship qith Buddy and Buddy took to him very fast, he was respectful toward me and my partner and how we processed the whole event. The best way I can put it is that Dr. Harp held our pain for us which allowed us to feel the blessings of Buddy's life with us and the joy of all the good memories he left us with. He also carried Buddy for us to his grave. If you are at the point of making that decision rest assured these people are angels walking among us. Thank you so much for the wonderful work you do.

Dr. Harp tenderly helped us during our dog Lola's euthanization. Lola was an integral part of our family, having been with us for 15 and a half years. We had struggled with her degenerating condition, as she was very mentally aware and still wanted to be with us. Dr. Harp was very thorough in his explanations and examination of Lola, assuring us that we were doing the right thing. He was genuine, relaxed and very easy to talk with. Dr. Regan Harp came to our home today to help with the transition of life for our life long friend. He was very professional, kind and caring, informative, patient and made sure our pup was as comfortable as possible. But even more important than that, he made sure we were as comfortable as possible and totally aware of what he was doing and why. Dr. Regan came to our home and it was the very best decision to have him put our sweet girl to sleep. She was comfortable in her bed, in her home and surrounded by her family. He explained everything before and during. Our sweet 15 year old Hope became very relaxed, layed her head down, fell asleep and began to snore softly. After a while, when the doctor was 100% sure she couldn't feel anything except total peace, he gave her one last small injection, her breathing slowed and then softly stopped. It was like the most perfect way for any pet to go. Dr. Regan is truly an angel walking among us and I will recommend him and Laps Of Love to anyone needing to make that hard decision for their little ones. Worst day of my life but it was the very best outcome. Thank you to Dr. Regan and all of the wonderful and compassionate staff at Laps Of Love. You all made what should have been a horrifying experience peaceful and calm.

Lap of Love and Dr. Harp made the transition for us and our pet as painless and personal as possible. Dr. Harp first gave a gentle assessment of our dog’s health and assured us we had done all we could and were making the right choice. It was truly a gift to say goodbye to our beloved dog in her favorite sunny spot as she gently went to sleep. I would recommend this service to anyone faced with this decision.

Dr Harp helped us say goodbye to our 20-year-old Kitty with as much empathy and professionalism as you could hope for. Her ashes were delivered to our front door less than 24 hours later, which was something we weren't expecting (but of course was preferable to them being mailed or sent elsewhere). I can't say enough good things about Dr. Regan Harp. We had a three year old aggressive rescue dog. The decision was hard, and Dr. Regan was patient and kind. He made sure we were comfortable at every step. He wasn't fearful of our dog and made us confident in the whole process. It went better then I could've imagined. We as so thankful.

I calied Lap of Love crying and in desperation. I had made the wrong call (not to euthanize) at the vet appointment for my cat that morning which became apparent to me as the day went on because he took a sharp turn for the worse. They were incredibly compassionate and professional and Dr. Regan Harp came to my house within an hour. Losing my cat of 15 years was awful, but Dr. Harp gave such peace to both my cat and me. He let me hold my cat on my lap (my choice) and helped give my cat the peace he deserved in a familiar surrounding. He even made a clay iimprint of my cat's paws for me which I totally wasn't expecting, a very nice touch. If it's time for your pet and you want someone incredibly gentle and compassionate, you should call Lap of Love. I will forever be grateful to them for their acts of kindness that day.

What a blessing, the best experience at a time we were struggling. From the initial phone call with Angie to my buddy's last moments where Dr Harp comforted us. Dr Harp met me out front away from the family. We took care of business, I had to sign consent form. Then he walked me down. He was so gentle and caring with our 17 yr old Max. He checked him out and talked us through, taking time to assure us each step. The he gave a seditive and a smile came on Max's face. The pain was gone and he went to sleep. Lap of Love was a godsend for me. I had to say goodby to my 18-year-old kitty and just couldn't bear to drag her to the vet another time. The Lap of Love vet came to my house, was very gentle and compassionate with both of us, and put down my kitty there on my lap in the living room where we always would sit. The service is not cheap, but was well worth it to me.
