This office has came highly recommended. However, I have called down and recieved probably the rudest customer service over the phone. Highly disappointing to be dealing with people like that when you are nothing but respectful to them. I will take my business to an establishment that appreciates their customers. I went to Oak Ridge Veterinary Hospital was given prices of estimation over the phone to what to expect with excellent service at my visit today highly recommend going there instead. Also no wait time I went directly into a room on same-day appointment scheduling unlike this animal clinic.

My Maggie Moo, an 11 year old rescue lab/bulldog mix had to be euthanized due to her health declining rapidly. She was loved by many and cared for very well. We recently moved to the area so I still haven’t found a vet. Karns was the only place with a vet on staff that worked with bunnies. I brought my little guy, Clyde in for an abscess. I have been using this place for 30 Plus years. I had a emergency with my dog explained I was limited on cash. They transferred me to their financial director and she told me to go pawn something. I was appalled. The Ol Doc Butler I knew and loved was there for the animals these people act like they care when you have cash. Wouldn't recommend my rat to go there.

My Guinea Pig Bella was sick when I brought her in. Guinea Pigs are obviously small pets. Dr. Leslie Carter was very good about coming up with a treatment plan for my little critter. She mixed two antibiotics together and I have been giving it to her twice a day. Sneezing, runny nose GONE. My Bella is happy and now runs around her cage, comes out of her house, and chews on her wooden toys! Thank you Dr. Carter!

Dr.Wright saved my dog. Took her to another vet and they wanted to put her down because of her Sevier allegies. I took her to Dr.Wright and within two weeks my dog was back to normal and in no pain anymore.This man got down on the ground to play with her. Another instance we had to put our beloved basset to rest.This place sent us a we're sorry card in the mail signed by all of the employees.They took great care of us at this time. My mother in law's dogs had gotten sick all of a sudden with no warning to where they couldn't move without help. Mother in law took the dogs to the vet and that vet said they cannot help her that she will have to put them down. The wife and I told her about Dr.Wright and we insisted for her to go see him.Dr.Wright and some employees stayed well over closing time to see my mother in law's dogs,welcomed her at the door and rush the dogs back into a room where they stayed for hours doing test. Test came back as they had gotten into some poison. Dr.Wright took action and the dogs progress has improved thanks to this place. I will never recommend another vet or go to another vet again. This is where all my animal family members will forever go in time of need. You will not find better people then the workers at karns vet clinic. I highly recommend them. Thank you for all you have done for my family.god bless you all.

We had taken our dogs across town to this vet for over 4 years. This office has performed everything from basic care and annual exams to major surgery for one of our dogs. Over the past year, we've noticed a significant decline in professionalism. We've had more than one experience with rude employees and noticed an overall lack of attention to detail. We no longer feel that this a safe place to take our pets for their care, and will be using a more friendly, knowledgeable and professional office.

I must say that we were treated very kindly and couldn't have asked for more during such a difficult time. Everyone on the staff were genuinely nice and seemed to care. The vet and employees are very attentive and caring about the animals. But it is sad that some people treat them terrible and get upset about nothing. If you are having difficulty paying your bill then rather than causing a scene try to be kind because them might work with you more. I took my great Dane there for allergies and was impressed with everyone and the vet actually sat down with me and really just showed love to my best friend Duke (my great Dane). But especially want to thank the vet for not just rushing in looking at the dog then rushing out and for really listening to my concerns and sara at the front desk. Sara was very patient with me and listened to me. I felt very welcome there.

I brought my cat here after seeing good reviews and calling around for pricing to apply soft paws to my cat's claws. I'm a new pet owner, and my cat (Ruthie) and I were both extremely stressed and anxious by the time we made it from the house to the animal clinic. My cat pooped in her crate just as I was about to carry her in. I was SO embarrassed and wasn't sure how to clean her or the crate without her running away. As soon as I walked in, they took Ruthie back and cleaned her and the crate all while promising that it was no trouble, "It happens all the time..." THANK YOU so much for making me and Ruthie feel calm and for taking care of us. As long as I own animals, I'll be coming back to this place!!

I've been coming here with my elderly rescue dog for some time now and I feel they deserve 5 stars. Front desk ladies are always sweet and prompt. The vets are always empathetic, knowledgable, understanding, and often know your pet's name by heart. Animal care is rarely cheap, that being said I have found their prices to be very competitive. They never attempt to upsale you on unnecessary treatment. I am very likely to keep giving them my business for my future pets as well!

Our family has used this Veterinary Clinic for many, many years. Dr. Butler cared for our cattle years ago and has always cared for our cats and dogs. Even though Dr. Butler has now passed the Clinic is still operated with the same excellent standards that were those of Dr. Butler. The Vets who own it now operate with the same fine care of our animals that we have always known there. We take our dogs there exclusively and wouldn't consider another place for any reason. Our Pug, Sally, loves these people and they take very good care of her there. Their prices are very much in line and can easily be afforded by most.

My first time to take my dog in and I was so disappointed. The office is so dirty and smelly, even for a vet's office. The office reeked of cat urine. Hair in the lobby looked like tumble weeds rolling across the floor. I have never been in a vet's office that smelled so bad or was so dirty. Also, I had asked how much it would be to trim my dog's nails while we were there and I was told it would be $10, but after all was said and done, they charged me $20! For a nail trim! That is ridiculous! Along with the other things I was paying for, I didn't know how much they had charged me until I got to the car and looked over my detailed bill and saw the fee. It took so long to check out that I really didn't want to return inside and go through all the chaos of that anymore. After 1 1/2 hours, I just wanted to go home and be done. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to their office and I would NOT recommend them to anyone. They need to clean their office more often, and be upfront about the costs and inform you if they change prior to doing anything.
