I've been to this vet for the past two years. The service has been declining dramatically over the two years. I regretted very much that taking my friend there for her first visit today. I strongly recommend against it. It's smelly obviously not clean environment , and more importantly the service here definitely is not worth its rocket high price or even half of it.
I went there for a health certificate today to take my cat on a flight. First off, the hospital is filled with barking of dogs and strong odors. The room for our cats are obviously NOT cleaned! It smells bad. I know it's an animal hospital but I've been to several vet and this definitely the worst smelly one. It's not the animals. It's just not cleaned! Secondly, the service is VERY slow. I understand that it's Saturday and there is only one vet there. But, given the simplicity of the paperwork, more than half an hour wait AFTER our checkout is just not unreasonable.
AND of course they forgot to scan the chip. What's more, they made three mistakes on the single piece of paper! My name, my cat's age and they forgot to date the certificate! When asked about it, the lady said, she could only change them on the computer but not on the paper! The airport agent wouldn't look at your computer for my cat's certificate! In the end, they changed it on the paper by crossing it out. So anyone can do it I guess on this paper. Lastly, their charge is outrageous. They charge $60 just for the error-loaded certificate and charge extra $40 for a physical exam. I asked why such a high health certificate fee (compared to $10-30 elsewhere) doesn't cover the physical exam? So they explained condensendingly, in order to have a health certificate, you have to do the physical exam. I said the health certificate should be inclusive given its price. Then they said the $40 physical exam should be charged no matter what you do even you are doing something that includes physical exam. And they said the certificate requires some special licensing that not all vets are trained to do it! OK, so it justifies why it charges twice or three time more than what others do? So $100 for a health certificate for the reference of those who is considering.
If their service and environment is good, I would more than willingly to pay the unreasonable bill which is higher than what is in New York City and San Francisco. Given my experience today, I give it 1 star or less if there were an option.
