I am new to Healthy Petz. I took Cocoa to Healthy Petz after she came to me 7 weeks ago because Healthy Petz had seen her before. I was very happy with the time they took to address her needs and health issues and the plan to keep her healthy. Cocoa is the perfect dog for me. Cocoa sleeps well and she is about 3 ft from me now, there is thunder outside and she is paying no attention to it.. We spend time together in the backyard together most mornings . But sometimes she wants in the backyard by herself. She runs as fast as she can go and comes in when she is ready (paw on the door) with a big smile. She is almost 9 years old. It is a joy to see Cocoa so happy and full of energy. Thank you Healthy Petz. Patricia Cocoa is now had her 10th Birthday. She is Healthy and strong and Healthy Pets continues to help me keep her that way.

We have five dogs who are well cared for by the staff at Healthy Petz Veterinary Hospital. Two of our Golden Retrievers are part of a lifetime (14 years) study which takes an extraordinary amount of time each year for the sample collection, online yearly questionnaire and keeping the study updated of the health conditions of those two dogs. Dr. Zavaro was more than willing to participate in that study. We appreciate that! With five dogs, we are in the clinic at least ten times each year and have had ample opportunity to see the staff in various levels of "busy-ness." They have never failed to give exemplary service "with a smile."

Do not leave your dog alone with these people. We left our dog to be boarded for a week and when we picked him up he was emaciated. He was skin and bones and no one bothered to call us and tell us he that he was refusing to eat. We had boarded him at other places many times before with no problems. After he came back from this place he had some really terrible trust issues with people that took him a long time to get over. I'm not sure what happened but our dog was traumatized during this week that he was here.

Vet hit my cat. We expressed that my cat was having discomfort in his leg and the vet squeezed it. Obviously my cat did not like this and bit her. This lead to her hitting my cat. Also, when my now upset cat was getting more upset about getting his shots, they would not allow my girlfriend near the table to comfort him. They did do a good job diagnosing his issues and helping us but has left a bad taste in our mouth by being so physical with our cat.

They have always taken excellent care of my pets and are very responsive in an emergency. I've seen several other people comment on that, as well as comments on the wait time. If I have to wait a little longer than normal, I remind myself that they have worked us in many times in an emergency and that particular day, someone else's pet needed urgent care, so I have to wait a little while.

Healthy Petz always takes great care of our furry family! If we have a new problem, they always have gotten us in same day (I usually call first thing in the morning). When my cat developed Diabetes they were so considerate and I never felt like they took advantage of what could have been a very costly situation. We eventually had to put Atari to sleep but they were very caring.

Really excellent place to take your fur babies! We just moved here and I had to bring my dog in because I was paranoid she had that life threatening bloat condition. They let me bring Pixie in right away and didn't charge us any emergency fees. All we were charged for was the office visit and medicine! Very reasonable fees and very loving staff. They were excellent with my dog and it was obvious they genuinely care. Will be using this clinic for all my pets for as long as I live in Tennessee. ☺

The level of care is simply top notch. Dr Rigsby took excellent care of my Lola when she was struggling with chronic pain issues. Ultimately, there was nothing we could do for her but I do feel that Dr Rigsby and staff explored every option and we gave her the best last few months on earth possible. They sent me a lovely card after Lola's passing and it wasn't just the generic "sorry for your loss". Each person who knew her contributed a personal message and it was very personalized and touching. Dr Mueller took on a difficult tumor removal surgery for a family members dog and did an unbelievably great job. I'm now the proud mom of a new pup and of course he will be going here for all of his medical needs for life. I've had pets my whole life and so have experienced a variety of veterinarians. I can say with certainty that these folks are the best at what they do.

The Drs at this clinic know their stuff but they are very rushed and I had a hard time feeling like I could express my concerns with them. They do a lot of follow ups, but I somewhat feel I spent more money than I needed to. My dog needed tests done, and there was an option to get a full string of tests with one payment but I ended up getting the tests done individually, which racked up the costs much more. I'm a bit upset about that. I felt that the Drs were not very sensitive to the financial and emotional impact of having a severely sick animal. I probably won't return to this vet clinic with my other pet.

We moved a little further away from Spring Hill recently and we tried another vet out of convenience. After 1 appointment we realized that the drive was WELL WORTH IT for exceptional care, friendly service, a clean environment and trustworthy people. LOVE LOVE LOVE HEALTHY PETZ!

stay away if you want good care for your dog. They misdiagnosed two of our dogs, mixed my dogs up, did not tell us my dogs both had ear infections and a huge wound but tried to scare us twice into expensive tests. This place does business based on quantity, convenience, and volume...NOT quality. The main doctor also does not value somebody who truly cares about their pets. Sure, they are super nice but nice does not equal good pet care. Do not be fooled by how nice they are as they are disorganized beyond words. If you scroll below you will see that they have their own employees doing reviews and rating themselves. They are very fake. My wife is the one who mainly dealt with them but after reviewing all the issues we have had with them, we could never recommend them to anyone. our dog had an appointment this week to have an OFA certification on her hips and elbows and there is no way we are letting these clowns put our dog under anesthesia. They missed so many things on a routine workup on our two dogs a week ago they are a joke. They would probably mess that up too as they mixed up which dog already we were supposed to bring. I love Healthy Petz! The staff are amazing! They genuinely care about their patients. They have taken care of my fur babies medical needs for years. They will take their time to help explain a condition and work with you so that you can learn as much as possible. They taught me how to care for and give injections to my diabetic cat, and performed surgery on one of my dogs that completely corrected her problem and was well worth it. Not to mention the regular check ups and preventative care. Also I would like to add, this hospital is the cleanest, most sanitary veterinarian clinic I have ever seen! My hamster was not doing well and they got me in same day to see the dr. Unfortunately my poor hammy was not to be cured. Everyone was very nice and doc gave her some meds to keep her comfortable. Healthy Petz has been wonderful. I really needed to find a vet closer to home a few years ago and was anxious to try someone new after using my same beloved vet for 15+ years. Needless to say, I had some high standards. Healthy Petz did not disappoint. Every time I go in, I am greeted quickly, and myself and my pets are treated wonderfully. The office is clean, smells great, is spacious compared to some clinics I have been in, and is bright and well lit. Every staff member is efficient and polite and great with animals. I cannot say enough great things about my vet, Dr. Amy Mueller. She is just plain awesome. She is friendly, kind, and obviously has a true passion for animals. She has helped me and my old boxer through some VERY trying and difficult situations with his health over the past years and I don't know what I would do without her. I trust her judgment and also appreciate that she respects my input and we work together to come up with the best plans of action depending on what is going on. The location is perfect for me, very close to my home, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Healthy Petz to my friends and neighbors anytime someone asks. Two thumbs up!!!

I am extremely happy with the medical care I receive for my older cat. My only complaint is the cost of boarding. Perhaps a discount for regular clients or a sliding scale where the price decreases the longer the per status. It also seems unusual that the cat and dog fee is the same. Cats are much easier to take care of. Maybe they lose money on boarding dogs and make it up from cat owners, I’m not sure,but it doesn’t seem fair.

Been going there for about 4 years. Progressively has gotten worse over years. Started out great. Today may have been my dogs last visit after waiting over an hour after appointment time and watching three people that came in well after we did be seen before us. When i asked about it I was told one more person before me. That didn't make sense since all the people that were there before me had already left and people coming in 30+ mins after we did were already being seen and in their way out the door. Appt was at 1015am...left at 1125am so could make noon errand and my dog still not seen....very disappointing since Dr zavarro is a good vet

Healthy Petz doctors and staff are considerate, professional and caring. Recently our Black Labrador Retriever visited Dr. Zavaro. He took as much time as we needed to understand what is going on with our "older" family member. My husband went in to see about Trifexis (heartworm, fleas and intestinal worms) and found they sell it (with their coupon) for the same price as we could get on line plus we did not have to pay shipping. It was also time to pick up more Remedyl for his hip dysplasia and arthritis. They sold him the generic (something our previous vet never told us about) at a much cheaper price. We highly recommend Healthy Petz Veterinary Hospital for any issues your four- legged pal may be experiencing.

I've never had a problem with them explaining what's going on or what my options are. He's had to have several surgeries and all came out well. If they say they will call they do. I personally believe you won't find a better clinic in the area.

Review update: I deleted a painfully long review, mainly because I was pretty shook up about Agape Pet Hospital seriously misdiagnosing the cancers in our dachshund Stretch, & Healthy Petz though taking it slow, then getting it right. But Stretch was so far gone that he had to be put down. Stretch didn't make it to 2 yrs. This all happened 11/1/2018. Time has passed, I see things more clearly, so here's this FWIW: I pulled Healthy Petz down to 3 stars for the following: The vets there are great, John Z. is great, Dr. Fountain is great though at the time new, the tech that came out for the "comfort/consolation" talk was great. So, I'd have kept it 5 stars, however.... We're going to try again, we should be taking delivery of a puppy the week of 11/13/2019. Not sure about coming back to Healthy Petz mainly because of reception. I think they need some work in the customer relations dept. BEDSIDE MANNER IS EVERYTHING. Leaving this all here. As per my previous review, if you're locked into Healthy Petz & are happy, great. As for me, vets are great, not sure I want to endure reception this time around to get to the vets. There's that.

We have been going to Healthy Petz since we moved here. We have 3 dogs of different ages and really like Dr. Fountain. She saved our dog's life as she was going into congestive heart failure. With the right meds, she is stable and 15 years old. Dr. Fountain always calls back and refills our dogs' prescriptions promptly. She gives honest info about the cost of things so we are not surprised.

I called them one evening with a concern about my pet, and they got us in the next day! The staff were very gentle with our pet and informative about treatment and prevention plans. We are happy to have found a vet to take our pet to!
