They’re reasonably priced, super SUPER knowledgeable, and they love each and every one of your animals. I trust them 100% to keep my animals safe whether it be getting a vaccination or surgery. Don’t listen to the bad reviews...these are obviously internet trolls or something. She doesn’t “push” products on people. She didn’t even tell me about food until I asked and then at that point she gave me her opinion on three different dog foods she thought were the best in three different price ranges. Go there. It’s worth your animal’s life.

Kathy Roberts

We had a great visit ! No waiting, full explanations of all procedures, kind and caring to Remi and what she needed. Thanks to all the staff !!!

Highly recommend the staff! They are excellent with my dog and would not take him anywhere else!

Katherine Minert

Excellent conditions, clean and comfortable setting. Dr Bridges is a truly wonderful human being and treats your animal friends like they are her own. When I took my sweet large breed dog in for an emergency procedure she was very clear with me about the ins and outs of the before and after the risk involved with the surgery and the risk ivolved with not having the surgery. The after care was AMAZING she sat down on the floor(which is always super clean) to examine her because she was in pain from the surgery and such a big dog. She has been a member of the family, and I can't imagine what I would do without her! Her staff is friendly and knowledgeable about everything and always willing to help me with anything. I love this place! I have never been so pleased with any veterinarian.

Lisa Perry

Can't say enough about Central Vet. They have taken care of 3 of our dogs over the years. Fantastic Doctors and everyone really cares about your pet and it shows.

Our baby has been going here since Babley owned it. We have gone through about 2-3 people we did not care for but we love Dr. Bridges! I don't know HOW you can say "she doesn't care about your pet and only wants your money"! That's crazy! When you go to the doctor is it free? When have a new born baby is it free? While your child grows up is it free? When you bring a pet in to your life they are meant to be apart of your family which means all the responsibilities and finances go with that package! She has ALWAYS been a great to us. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Everyone was so kind and caring. I have a very nervous dog and I could tell that even she felt more comfortable than with any other vet she's been to. We just moved here and I'm so happy that we found Dr. Andy!

Amy Forson

My Pomeranian just turned 23, they're so good with my feisty, old man!

Cathy Lemmons

Took my elderly dog who has fear aggression to be treated here. This is a quieter setting than many vet offices. They worked with us to make him the last patient of the day. They were very patient and understandibg of him and did not make him even more stressed than he already was. The vet assistant has great "pet vibes" and did not show any fear with him. Love both doctors I have seen at this location. Have used the main location for many years and am so happy to have this location even closer to my home with caring staff available for my fur babies.Have now had all three dogs treated here and have been very happy with all three visits!

I and my dogs were holdovers from the previous veterinarian, so I had some apprehension, but I have been pleased with the level of care and professionalism exhibited by this staff.

Highly recommend Central Vetrinary, our lab Deisel was diagnosed with cancer in his right leg and required amputation, Central was very caring and considerate with his care and me being a blubbering fur nanny! He is doing awesome as a tri- paw

I'd like to address the previous review from Tiara Danielle (Ms. Crosvy). As the owner and Veterinarian at Washington Pike Veterinary Hospital, I make it a point to thoroughly educate all clients as to the recommendations for pets' diet, flea, tick and heartworm protection. I don't push the most expensive products. I do talk to owners about what is available and what can best meet your pet's stage of life. We follow the AVMA's protocols for vaccinations. Unfortunately, in our location, there is a lot of mis-information running around that I try to correct. If that's "pushing" a client to spend money, I don't view it that way. Pet ownership is not an entitlement. Pets have just a few basic needs that I make certain all owners are aware of, including, for dogs - Flea, tick and heartworm protection. Fleas and ticks carry diseases that I am seeing an increasing in prevalence around the clinic. Heartworm disease can be fatal however, there is monthly prevention to make certain that all pets don't get this disease. All clients have the right to refuse a recommendation. As a matter of fact, I typically tell folks that my job is to make the recommendations, they can choose to ignore anything I say. It won't hurt my feelings. For new puppy owners, I do talk to them about about a common and deadly puppy disease called Parvo. Lots of new information has come out on this disease and I'd like my puppy owners to be made aware. This disease can live in an environment for many years. It is very important for puppies to be kept out of Parvo contaminated places. I don't think that's a scare tactic. I think that's a fact. Information helps keep puppies safe. I find it interesting Ms. Danielle - that this exact same review was placed on the YP listing for the clinic but with a different name (Ms. S). Neither one was seen at our clinic on Oct 1. We did have a new client visit who was so clearly under the influence that we notified the police. Hope that wasn't you. I don't expect that everyone will like me, however, I would appreciate the chance to explain our clinic's policies and approaches to medicine. You hiding your true name, prevents a chance for us to sincerely apologize for your unpleasant experience. We do have office pets at our clinic. Both are rescued animals. We always ask clients if they mind these office pets company. Since Veterinary Medicine has such a high level of Compassion Fatigue, these pets help the staff and the clients during very difficult times.

My first visit to Central Veterinary Hospital was awesome! The staff are kind, courteous and welcoming. The facility is wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better first experience! They are so good with my new puppy, Max. I look forward to returning for checkups as it definitely feels more like seeing friends than a doctor's visit! Top notch! Bravo!

Eva Starkey

They are very caring and professional. I feel like my fur babies are in good hands. After a surgery they called to check up not only the next day but a few days later.

Tracy Shachner

A great visit for our two senior dogs. The office was clean, and we did not have to wait long-we went right back into an exam room. Tiffany was great with our girls, as always, and kept them calm. Dr. Patterson was very thorough when he performed his physical exam, and answered all of our questions and concerns. We would recommend this vet to others.

John Rice

Can't recommend Dr Bridges and Washington Pike Vet Hospital enough. They cared for my dying kitty a while back and really helped me through that terrible time.

J.D. Burgundy

ID GIVE NO STARS IF I COULD. THIS LADY WAS SO ROUGH WITH MY PET. LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS GONNA SNAP ITS NECK AND CLAIMED TO " BE HAVING DOMINANCE" OVER MY PET. SHE WAS RUDE, NOT VERY CARING OF THE ANIMAL AND SHOULDNT BE A VET. I HATED EVERY SECOND IN THAT DUMP AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PERSON TO ANYONE WHO LOVES THERE ANIMALS !!!!

Joseph Wright

Great vet

Tami Whelahan

I am very sorry to see your negative review J. D. Burgundy. I am the receptionist at the clinic and I just want to let you know that our head doctor, Dr. Bridges, was out last week and we had substitutes in. Not that this justifies your experience but we would hope that you wouldn't put down the entire clinic over one bad experience with relief staff. In addition, when Dr. Bridges asked me to back to last weeks patients so that she might contact you to apologize for your experience we were unable to locate a patient with your name.

Trent Bibee

The entire team was sweet and our new rescue dog warmed up to them in no time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a vet.

I went in for feeding tube for my kitten. It took a while but they measured how far to put it in and over charged me the price of the tube. That was REALLY of them!

This month last year I was blessed with two beautiful baby Siberian husky puppies. We took them in to Bridges (not worthy to be addressed as Dr.) for a check up. Waited forever to be greeted by an extremely rude lady who took 2 minutes to look at my babies and was charged a fortune. 3 weeks after being born one began to have a series of Grandma seizures. She was concerned that it could be a liver shunt, so of course we agreed to run tests and in the meantime she prescribed him some anti convulsant medication, which did nothing for my boy. Asking for a different medicine to control his seizures she only knew of that one medicine, which there many many more. She had absolutely no knowledge regarding medicine, scary huh? His tests came back negative for liver shunt and all of his blood work was normal. She proceeded to tell us the cost of euthanasia not giving anymore options. She basically just threw it at us because she was tired of dealing with him. So I was recommended by a friend to Tazewell Pike animal clinic to Dr. Joann Hibbs. We took my baby to her and immediately ruled out euthanizing him. He was full of energy and happiness when he wasn’t having seizures she said there was absolutely no reason to put him down just yet. I called Bridges to get his medical records sent over for a second opinion. She had the audacity to tell me to never step foot back in this vet with any of my animals because I was trying to get the best help for my boy. He has now made it a whole year with little to no seizure activity with the help of Dr. Hibbs. Tazewell Pike animal clinic has went above and beyond to take care of me and boys. Bridges had no care, love or affection for mine. If you love your pets as much as I do I’m sure you would want the same. Don’t see Bridges all she wants is your money, not your babies.

I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Bridges and her staff are compassionate and knowledgeable. Matter of fact, I have one dog who frequently had been muzzled at other vet offices because she would freak out during the experience. Dr. Bridges has never once used a muzzle on her and she actually, with Dr. Bridges' demeanor, remains calm...she loves the place and Dr. Bridges!!! I love it there because I know I will be given a bunch of options from which to choose from to aid my dogs in maintaining their health and battle any illnesses.

I did not have the same experience with Tiara regarding the food, actually the opposite, I told them what I was feeding my animal and they explained the varying levels of quality for that brand. I greatly appreciated that. However, I do agree Tiara on the cats. We got the same warning not to touch the orange cat because it would bite. I don't understand why you would subject your clients to that. The straw that broke the proverbial camels back came when I went to pay my bill and noticed a $20 fee for a missed appointment. During a visit they told me they would be giving $10 vaccinations on a Saturday. I told them I would like to take advantage of that, however, that day was my sons birthday party and I wasn't sure I could make it. They said stop by if you get a chance and we'll get it done quick. I appreciated that but never made an appointment. I did not take my pet that day due to the party, a point I made when I saw the missed appointment fee - they refused to take it off. Thus I now have a new vet.

Eric Ostrander

My dogs will go nowhere else. Staff is very friendly and to the point. Very caring and knowledgeable staff.

MJ McCall

My dog was given the wrong diagnosis and meds since Central took over what was Washington Pike Veterinary Clinic. I would recommend you find a different clinic to take your fur babies to.

Leslie Clevenger

It's a delightful vet it is clean and not all that busy to where the bed has time for you it's great five star

Sweet Teahyung

They were very nice when I brought my gerbils in for a checkup! It was also a lot more reasonably priced than the other place I've taken my rodents before.

Leeann Childress

Both Central Veterinary Hospitals are wonderful! This was my first time at this location. I did not have to wait. The Dr, staff, and especially Tiffany were amazing! They were kind and caring to both dogs, explained everything thoroughly, and Tiffany even helped me to get them back into my car. If you are looking for a great veterinary hospital at reasonable prices you need to visit them.

I’ve been coming here with my three cats since I moved to the area four years ago. I’ve always been impressed with the time they spend with the cats and me during procedures as simple as routine vaccinations. One of my cats, Tater, recently had need for more extensive treatment—she was diagnosed with cancer and ended up having her leg amputated. Throughout the process, Dr. Bridges has been amazing. She is always extremely thorough and gives me all the information I want about all possible options, including treatment with other veterinarians or veterinary oncologists. She didn’t try to sell me anything unnecessary and was understanding of my need to take care of my cat while on a graduate student budget. If she wasn’t immediately available by phone, she promptly returned my calls both during the process of figuring out Tater’s diagnosis and determining the course of action, and after Tater’s amputation. Not only is she thorough and informative, Dr. Bridges is also caring. The same goes for the rest of the office staff. They greet Tater by name, are cheerful and friendly, and I am extremely satisfied with their treatment of both me and my cat!

Absolutely WORST experience with the doctor. She was absolutely rude to my partner. We took our dog in so we could learn how to make him go pee since his back hind legs are paralyzed from Intervertebral Disc Disease. We are still coping with this new change and it’s been very hard on us. She basically insisted we should put our dog down or think of the “quality of life” when our dog is completely happy. He is not phased by it and nothing is in pain on him. We also told her that we were looking into getting a wheelchair for him so he can be more mobile again and we were thinking about trying these tablets called nzymes antioxidant treats because In numerous cases, it’s been proven to help paralyzed dogs. She acted so rude towards our decision to do so. She acted like we couldn’t afford a wheelchair for him but it’s funny because when they mention surgery, they never even think about how we can afford that. We told her that we didn’t care the cost because atleast he would be mobile again and she said something about how our dog will never get better. We just found out about all this a few days ago and a doctor telling me rude things like this is NOT something I need to hear. She needs to find a job where people are not involved. She’s heartless, rude and completely wrong. I will NEVER go to this place again and I will be telling everyone I know never to go here as well.

Tiara Danielle

the vet i saw was the biggest money hungry vet i have ever seen. She tried to make me pay for things that were not necessary . contradicted herself with statements she made. out right lied about "facts" pertaining to dog diseases. I have a regular vet thank god!! i only went to her to help my dog when my regular vet couldnt see me. NEVER again. i do not recommend unless you want to be over charged by having them rack up charge after charge of useless items. and let cats run around the office and in exam rooms even if the owners are allergic (they never ask) . they even attempted to use fear mongering to scare me into paying for things. never ever use them . I wont be going back !!

Nancy Gibbons

I wasn't even ask for the Braves to flea and tick medicine because he didn't have any however when I got home it was there. They offer free screenings on dogs once a month for heart worms with no charge.I bet every dog they check has them.I have been very sick with my phone off I called to cancel the app.she told me that there was a 25 dollar cancellation fee.I should have read all the papers I signed. The vet lady kept telling me ever dog food I had tried on my 15 lb. Matipoo was garbage.I will pay the 25 dollars to keep from running my credit. The lady when I called to tell her I was sick & couldn't bring him actually hung up the phone on me

I hate going here but have continued to go simply out of convenience. Dr. Bridges has been rude to our family and demeaning on several occasions. Our very first time there, she didn't even say hi and introduce herself as a vet. Wasn't impressed. Another time she basically scolded me because I was "letting" my son have a tantrum on the dirty floor. Another time she told me the food we feed our dog was "putrid" and she "wouldn't wish it on her worst enemy". Our dog hates cats and the last time we visited, a cat jumped up on the table inside our little room, and sprawled out like it owned the place. The vet tech closed the door so we were stuck with that cat. During the same visit, another cat jumped up into the sink and the proceeded to lay across all the tools they then used to check my dog. Disgusting. Plus I'm allergic to cats so I didn't appreciate them locking the 2 cats in the room with us anyways. Gross. I love animals and am fine with a "lobby cat" but laying all over the medical tools she then used on my dog was unacceptable. Another time she told me to open the granola bar my child was trying to eat. When I told her we were going to wait until we got in the car, she told me "a few germs don't hurt" (the same lady who told me to pick up my tantrum child off the dirty floor). Today was the straw that broke the camels back. We were in and out in 5 minutes, quick check up, didn't even see her... but she peeked around the corner and scolded us for "banging her gate". Dr. Bridges talks down to everyone. I am willing to do anything to take care of my dog. I have never been late for an appointment (by the way, no reminder call for today's appointment) and I have always been kind. My kids have always been perfectly good but I will not spend another dime to support this lady. Enough is enough. I even took pictures of those 2 cats that one day, laying on all the medical tools, while I was crammed in there with my 4 children and dog. So gross. Do not go here. Vet techs were fine. No complaints against them. But, Dr. Bridges needs to step it up. Not trying to be rude, just saying what happened on probably 8 occasions over the last year. GOOD BYE!

Kristi Denise Cremeens

We LOVE Dr. Keele and his wonderful staff!!

So my dog is kind of "special" and he doesn't like strangers AT ALL. That being said the entire staff did a great job handling him yesterday during our surgery consult appointment. Dr. Keele was fantastic as was his nurse. The front desk lady took the initiative to remove my little girl from the exam room when things got a little squirrelly and did a great job distracting her from Copper losing his cool with all of us. Super impressed with everyone in this office!! Thank you so much for doing such a great job taking care of ALL my family.

Karly Bales

Every single experience I’ve had with the vets and techs at Central on Mill Rd has been beyond any expectations. After switching between a few different vets that weren’t willing or able to handle my tiny feline monster, Central has been amazing in every way.

Great, Dr. Bridges and her staff are fantastic.
