Took our dog in as a walkin on December 23, 2016 late in the afternoon for the first time. We had about a 5 minute wait. The staff were so helpful. Dr. Sarah was great. She figured out what was wrong with him and took appropriate steps to help him. We had tried a new vet a couple of months ago with no results just a lot of money spent. So I wasn't sure how this veterinary hospital would be. Yes it cost a bit more than I had anticipated but didn't have to go anywhere else to buy anything. Best of all the treatment is working. Dr. Sarah and staff did not make me feel like I was a bad owner because Champ had a skin bacteria. They have called three times as well as emailed to find out how he is doing. Everything was explained to me and clear directions given. Thank you Best Friends. I have already recommended you to another person.

The staff, technicians, and veterinarians there are awesome! I'm brand new to the area and my dog got a tick in a sensitive location... I fumbled the removal and the tick's head got stuck in him. They saw my dog within the hour that it happened and removed the head for him. They are very fair and very friendly and even though they are an hour drive from me I will be sure to visit them before I go anywhere else...

My little 1 year old min pin got sick with parvo Friday night we called this vet & they told us how much it would be for an emergency $200 THEN we got there Saturday morning we waited 2 hrs to get seen we finally got into the room & Maggie tested positive for parvo they said it'd cost $500 for hospitalization which we didnt have luckily a lady in the waiting room heard our story & gave Maggie $200 so we were only short $200 for our baby girl to be hospitalized but no they wasnt having it they sent her home with IV fluids & 6 other meds 8 hrs later she passed away . They could have overlooked that money but no its ALL about the money with them or any vet except for the vet my sister told us to go through he takes payments who was not in office b4 she died. I'm so mad I dont think I'll ever forgive them or 3 others on my mind that coulda helped our Maggie. The only good they did was helping with her urn for cremation our hearts are shattered she died in our bed while we were giving her CPR & trying to pump her little heart she left out one more breath & one more big load of bloody poop & passed away in her daddy's hands . I wished I could find a vet around crossville that actually cares more about these beautiful furbabies then they do money . Yes they have 2 options for people with high credit but I'm not one of them . They basically killed my little girl .

One night our 8 month old puppy chewed up a tube of eye drops. Some of these can be very poisonous so called them around 9 pm. Their night technician told me what to do. Now at two years old he is very healthy and a little wiser.

This is going to be a little long but I want to share why we know that Best Friends' is the best vet in Crossville! We purchased a German Shepherd puppy from a bad breeder. By bad breeder, we mean that they had no business breeding because they did not know what they were doing at all. We were told our puppy was 10 weeks old and fully weaned from the mom at 4 weeks when the mom's milk dried up. For those who know anything about breeding, there is an underlying issue for the mom's milk to dry up so quickly when there is supposedly 7 puppies in the litter. Our suspicions were confirmed when we realized she was really only 4 or 5 weeks old when she was sold to us. Within days, our puppy collapsed and we brought her to Best Friends. She flat-lined. Thanks to Dr. McGlothlin, our puppy was brought back from death. She spent more than a week in puppy ICU at Best Friend's where they treated our newest family member as one of their own. They did everything within their power to make sure she survived. Dr. Garland has been fantastic through all of this! These two ladies have given their all to help us nuture our puppy to thrive! Dr. Garland even brought in her own dog to give our puppy a blood transfusion! Our baby is now around 9 weeks old and thriving like a typical puppy her age except for her weight which will eventually catch up. She came from a horrible beginning and has fought to survive everyday. Every one who works at Best Friends' has a heart of gold. I am so glad we chose this veterinary clinic for our furbabies. They are even fantastic working with neurotic puppy parents like us! When other vets would have suggested to put her down, they have supported our decision to do everything possible to help our baby grow up happy and healthy. We have never met more compassionate people than everyone here. We are completely amazed by everyone here! If you are looking for a vet to treat your furbaby like family, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed in this place. I promise! This is not your typical vet's office for sure!

I had 2 kitttens that I got for my kids because there kitten got killed, an one of my kitten had a vet bad upper respiratory infection and she had not drink anything in 2 days I thought she was gonna die an my 5 year old daughter was just sick from worrying about her an our vet was closed, well long story short I did not have any money an I couldn’t just let out kitten die so I took her to first place I found, an they tell me my kitten needs fluids and an antibiotic I said ok can we please work out a payment plan because I only have 40 dollars an the lady says, No I can not do that if u do t pay I’m keeping ur kittens, I said are u serious she said yes that’s my policy my total was $109.50 i said I’m let me call somebody to see if I can get help my daughter was more than up set she’s said momma why is she gonna take my kitten away, what do u say to that finally I got some one to pay for my visit so I could take my kitten home, but what I did find out from the place I bought my kittens is this hospital does not have that authority there not the sheriff like they think, The shelter that I bought the kitten from told me if they had kept my kitten they would have went an got them back for me.. not only that my kitten is still very sick they don’t even deserve a star from my family but I had to put one to post this

I really, really like Dr. Warlick. However, the office staff is running off good customers. They gave me the wrong meds for my dog THREE TIMES. I called for a quote to have my cat spayed but when I went to pick her up the cost had increased by $142.00. No extras, I was told I was quoted wrong. We have four pets and have been going here for years. Dr Warlick gave me an extra year with my beloved dog but I don't know what has happened to the office staff. They just do not act like they care. The tech said she would share our concerns with the doctor and I would have thought he would call. He did not. Very disappointed.

These people really helped myself and my cats out when I was in a serious pinch. I'm moving from Washington state to Virginia which is no easy feat with two cats in tow. My boy started getting anxious and aggressive enough that it really concerned me. I looked up nearby vets and Best Friends was the only one who could take him at such short notice. I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg for him to be seen and I was also expecting to have to wait a few hours before getting taken in, but they called us back after less than 45 minutes of waiting and the whole visit including anxiety medication and a nail trim only cost me $71. I have paid more for a routine visit at our old vet in Washington. Words cannot express how grateful I am that we were in the right place at the right time to be seen by these kind folks. If you have the ability to give these folks your business, please do. They deserve it.

Although the vets know what they are doing, the clinic is very poorly run and most of the front desk staff don't care about whether your pets live or die. At least that has been my experience. I had a very sick cat that had to go to the vet twice a week for fluids. They always made me wait 1-3 hours even when I had an appointment (yes, I often lost half a day from work, twice a week). The final straw was when I made a Saturday appointment (instead of my normal Friday appointment). I told them I wouldn't be able to stay more than 30 min and they promised to have me out on time so I could get to work. However, when I arrived for the appointment, I was told "Saturdays are for walk-ins only" and was basically called a liar when I said I had an appointment. They said I'd have to wait at least 45 min to get in. When I explained I couldn't and that the cat would probably die if he didn't get fluids that day, I was told "sorry" in a voice that let me know she couldn't care less. If you love your pets, take them somewhere else!

I also want to add....A few month's ago, my sister had just moved to Tennessee with her dog who was very ill. When the time came for her to make the heart wrenching decision to let her trusted buddy not suffer anymore, this was actually my first experience with this veterinary. I've entrusted the care of my dogs to Best Friends Veterinary Hospital for years. The staff have always proved to be competent, compassionate, and caring. They helped my little Pomeranian cross the "rainbow bridge" when the time came for her to go. And they arranged a liver shunt surgery at UT Hospital for my Maltese, a surgery that saved her life. Their follow-up calls after even a routine examination endear them even more to me. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

Ever since Dr. McGlothlin left your practice, the quality of service has diminished severely. Our precious 15 year old Doxie Rascal was in such severe pain last Friday that we had to call to have him put down. We were told by the receptionist that we had to have an appointment (?) or we could come in and wait in the waiting room. Unbelievable!!! After spending over $800.00 in vet bills, his health went into fast decline following multiple tests. He went into a seizure or muscle spasm that morning and we had to find another vet to accommodate our wishes in a timely fashion. Shame on you!!! Chuck Jensen .

I've always taken my pets and ferals here when they've been ill or in need of services. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and try to be conscious of your budget. They were able to see my cat today on short notice as a walk in, and I'm very grateful they could do so! I recommend Best Friends very highly to anyone wanting quality care for their furry family members!

My dogs got a hold of a kitten and it has hurt bad did not think it would live. Took it to Friends Veterinary Hospital they took care of the little guy sewed him up and it did not cost me a lot of money. Today the kitten is fine you could not tell anything happened to him at all.

This morning I discovered our 17 year old dog in really bad condition. He could not get up and had lost all lower body functions. We call Best Friends and told them that we thought it was time to let him go. When we arrived they were very nice and explained the procedure to my son. During the whole procedure the doctor and her assistant were so compassionate and caring. In a time when animals are treated as a disposal object this clinic was the total opposite. I can not begin to thank everyone there for there loving attitude and patience with not only our beloved dog but to my son and myself..God bless you all and I truly believe there is a special place in heaven for those who are kind to animals...You can tell alot about a person by they way they treat animals.
