Wonderful I can't even begin to describe how pleased I am that I took our Chihuahuas to this place.My new puppy needed vaccinated and I called a place in Lebanon and they wanted to charge $80 Ouch!!.. Affordable care is how it should be so that people are able to afford the services needed for our fur babies I'm happy to say no more searching

They have always been SO wonderful with my dog Kurt. He has horrible allergies that turn into ear and paw infections all the time, and this is the vet I always went to for the best care for my animals (after trying Banfield and many other vets that didn't take me seriously or didn't help). Recently I moved to Birmingham, but I still make the 3 hour drive to them or call them if I have any problems and they're always happy to give me advice on medications and treatments, even though I'm not in office. I actually called crying this morning because my local vet has just been tugging me around with ineffective treatments, and Affordable Veterinary care went above and beyond to help me find help for him. I called my local vet after and they hadn't even heard of the treatments, I'm so glad I can still call and get help from you guys.

Well since the name is affordable vets, I thought the prices would be reasonable. Very surprised that the nail grinding was way higher priced than any other price in town. Although the people were very nice, there are a lot of nice people elsewhere too. So don’t let the name fool you.

We have had many opportunities since moving to Lebanon/Mt Juliet TN area to visit AVC with 7 dogs & 2 cats. The staff know us by sight and sound as we're weekly calling in a refill or making appts. I could not ask for better human care and compassion. As far as pet care, they're terrific and responsive, never too busy to take the time it takes... In short, I fully recommend the Affordable team who have taken care of all of us for years.

This was the worst experience of my life. They were rude and hurtful not to mention unwilling to work with my dog. They took him from me to weigh him but tried to examine him as well and muzzled him without my permission. When he was in the room with me he was fine. I held him while they drew his blood for the heart worm test and he sat there like a good dog. We were told they would at least give him his rabies shot. However they sent a person in to tell me otherwise. His test came back negative for heartworm but they refused to give him the medicine without an exam which they knew they weren’t going to do before drawing his blood (even though I had no idea they weren’t planning on doing it). The owner came in and told me I wasn’t allowed to hold my dog while she examined him or while the doctor gave the shots. At that point I argued that I held him while his blood was drawn and she said that was against policy and it shouldn’t have been allowed. Owers are not allowed to hold/touch their dogs. I had my niece and nephew with me who are 5 and 2 and she told me they would have to leave the room as well. My dog and I were beyond traumatized. After being there for over an hour we left with no vaccines and one mighty upset owner. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!

Honestly the best vet I’ve ever taken any of my animals to. Every single person I interacted with was compassionate and friendly. They really cared about my pup and her well-being. My significant other and I are broke college kids and when our puppy got sick we were on a tight budget but they worked with us and I couldn’t be more thankful. We drove an hour and a half to get to this vet and I am so thankful we did. Ten thousand thumbs up. This will be my dog’s regular vet from now on. ❤️

Before I started working at AVC, I knew this was a special place. My fur baby broke his leg in a freak accident. I called just before closing and they stayed after hours to help me get him comfortable so I could transfer him to the emergency clinic for surgery. ❤

Love this vet! After using Lebanon Animal Hospital for 2 years, I finally started to look at other vets for a second opinion after my pup was having a reocurring issue. Not only did Lebanon Animal Hospital charge me $400 for the visit, they had no resolution and then sold us soft canned foods because they thought that would help. His issue happened again and this time we took him to Affordable Vet and on the FIRST visit, they diagnosed him and performed surgery on him. AND, it was amazingly affordable for the entire procedure. They are super friendly and kind and have fantastic customer service. I love them and I'll never go to anyone else ever again. The way they treat my pups means a lot to me and they've won me over big time.

We will not go anywhere else :) our pup Griff loved it there and so did we. Wait time was nothing, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the building was clean and comfortable. Our Vet had his best interest at heart and treated him right away. 2 days later Griff was feeling himself and now we found a forever Vet Clinic ❤️ Love this place! Oh! Was rushed in and out without discussing a treatment plan with me and the vet was only in the room for maybe 5 minutes. Never saw her again after she left the room and she never cared enough to call and check in on my dog even though we were in there multiple times the same week. Was told to hurry up and making a decision on treatment while in the room because "staff was waiting in the back to go home". Not the thing you want to hear when your baby is sick. Update: Went back for a simple gland expression hoping my experience would be better. Was taken back into a room and told that maybe this clinic wasn't for me and that I was not allowed to be seen at this clinic again because I left a "nasty" review (above review). I didn't receive any sort of call or email to ask me about my experience and try to make anything right from the beginning. I didn't leave a "nasty" review, just explained exactly what happened during my visit. It's very unfortunate that this is a business's approach for handling customer dissatisfaction.

Went there today and this place is AMAZING! The staff and Dr. are amazing and engaginng! Literally one of the best experiences I have had in a very long time!!!We have a follow-up appointment in two weeks and I’m actually looking forward to it, due to the staff and Dr. being so friendly and knowledgeable. The staff here are amazing and patient. We took my daughters dog after a horrible experience from a petstore groomer. He was did not cooperate at all but the 2 techs were patient and got his nails trimmed. He even gave them kisses after. They definitely earned my business and referrals!

We took our dog in a week ago, she was not walking on one of her legs and we grew concerned. Any time we would try to feel around her leg she would get a little grumpy. We had expected with her being very sore and the vet being a stranger it may be worse so we warned them before they even touched her, she has a very loving nature other than that. We had fully expected that they'd put a muzzle on her but to our surprise and relief they didn't, they just had someone come in and hold her and she was so good to her, talking to her and keeping her calm. They decided they needed an x-ray and tried to do it without sedation but she wouldn't allow it. They told us it'd be a couple hours and it'd be best if we left and got lunch then came back. It was hard to leave our fur baby but we really felt she was in good hands and they were so good to her. We got a call as soon as she woke up and went back in to talk to the vet, she explained everything clearly, answered every question we had, talked to us about all the alternatives with other things we found and talked to her about while we were there. We will definitely be taking her back and taking our other dog there. To top off the amazing staff the price was very affordable, we know what we'd have paid if we went to another vet. We highly recommend this vet office to anyone.

At short notice, my fiance and I had to bring our cat to the vet to update her shot records. I was extremely nervous as I have never taken a cat to the vet before and she hates her kennel and being around new people. They took her back in her kennel by herself which made me even more nervous. However, the staff was amazing. Very caring towards the animals and reassuring to her as I told him about being scared. The visit was quick! Five minutes went by between when they took her back and brought her back out. Cheap and quick! Amazing for their walk-in weekend hours!

I cannot probably say enough kind words about this office. We are still new to the area and had yet to find a vet to take care of our dogs. Recently and very unexpectedly I lost my aussie Zoey and we needed to find somewhere who could help us get paw prints and do a cremation (and on a Sunday no less). They truly went above and beyond and despite never even meeting our family, they were sincere and sweet on one of our worst days. We just got her cremations back in a beautiful box with her paw print in clay and along with it was a personally signed card from their staff. You are all truly wonderful and our family thanks you.

All the staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I have a concern about what they call a physical for my pet.The fact that the doctor came in and looked at my pets gums and then did a flip of each ear not even looking inside of it with an ear scope. Then they rub their hands down the sides of the dog to check whatever they were doing, but never listened to my pet's heart rate or took my pets temperature.I feel as though if you're going to charge for a physical whether be a dog or a person you should get a complete physical. I was very disappointed in the fact that that was what they called her exam for $39.

Brought my Labrador in for a tooth extraction vet came in said his mouth was swollen needed x-rays they didn't have x-rays charged me $30. Front desk was kind and courteous or 1 star. If you don't examine the dog and if you don't do anything I'm not sure how you charge someone.

This morning I found myself in a terrible predicament. My cat had been sick after being missing for over 2 weeks and we had been in and out of the vet this week. Over the weekend she deteriorated quickly and the vet I had gone to had no emergency services. My cat was suffering and a friend told me to look up affordable vet in Mount Juliet and this place came up. Truly a blessing Dr Pennington and the staff took amazing care of us and treated us with more dignity and respect that the other vet who was paid several hundreds of dollars more. I am truly grateful to y’all. Dr Pennington and Miss Nikki who were with me when my fur baby was laid to rest were thoughtful and kind and provided me with information on a disease I was never aware of (bobcat fever) and it was surely what my poor baby had. The other vet never mentioned this at all. It was a tough time and I was in and out without being rushed and treated with a kindness I will never forget. I truly thank you all and want you to know you were a light in my darkness today. Thank you, Amy

This is proof that exams and medications can be available at a lower and more reasonable price point without sacrificing quality vet care. In addition to excellent care, they are conveniently open 7 days a week with walk-ins only on Sunday. Brilliant!

Summary: Excellent expertise, pet owner-provider dynamics, and devotion to pet care. Weekend hours available (HUGE!). Very affordable prices. Highest recommendation. My cat grew very ill very quickly a couple of weeks ago--equally terrifying, over a weekend. Desperate, I searched online for a veterinary clinic open on a Sunday that wasn't an ER (due to cost barriers) and discovered this one. Affordable Veterinary Care truly is marked by excellence. Notable compliments: 1. All veterinary staff truly "know their stuff"--I felt at ease with my cat being in their care. 2. I was included in all decision making. 3. Nothing was sugar coated. Diagnosis, prognosis, and cost were all spoken with complete honesty AND kindness. It takes courage to speak the truth in a stressful situation--where it is needed most. 4. All veterinary staff were on board with my cat's care and stayed after hours to see his care all the way through. My cat ended up having to have an emergency procedure performed. Not only did this clinic rescue my cat from a potentially fatal condition, the veterinarian used sound clinical judgment to explore less invasive options (if appropriate and possible) for his comfort. I walked away from this event incredibly relieved. My cat was safe. So was my pocketbook. No medical care is ever free, nor should it be. Yet, we all know when a service is worth it or not. Affordable Veterinary Care, without doubt, provides excellent care at a manageable price: an indisputable value.

When i went in yesterday i was not happy with the way the vet spoke with myself and my daughter and got snappy with my 12 year old daughter for trying to comfort our kitten. Today i went back for xrays and Dr Tumas (not sure of spelling) was very sweet, i just really liked her all around. The entire staff of receptionist and nurses were so sweet and made me feel like they totally cared. My cat has a broken pelvis and the dr made me feel so relieved when walking out the door where as the other lady had the nerve to complain about my cat whom i bathe monthly having fleas after i made it very clear she ran away and wad outside for 24 hrs. Like that is the least of my worries when you are supposed to be examining possible broken body parts

I want my money back. wouldn't give the place a star. They seen my cat and kitten they didn't care them. They sold me stuff that doesn't work. They scam me twice for the same thing. Don't go to the scam vet.... Their response. They made fun of my disability Dear Mr. Kelly, We are all concerned for you, your cat and kittens and have explained to you on several occasions about upper respiratory issues with unvaccinated cats and kittens. We are all concerned about your well being because on the numerous occasions you have called the clinic you have seemed significantly impaired. We would be happy to give you information regarding substance abuse and one of our sober staff members would be happy to tell you about how they got sober. We wish you luck!

I have never been more disappointed with a staff and office manager in my life. After going through SIX hours of blatant LIES about a faxed referral from them that my pet DESPERATELY needed to make an appointment at a special dermatologist in Nashville the fax miraculously showed up AFTER THE DERMATOLOGIST had to call them THEMSELVES! All over a simple fax. Six Hours! Ridiculous! After speaking with BETSY, THE OWNER OR MANAGER, I can see why the staff is so irresponsible. Never received an apology or recognized that they completely fumbled the ball. No accountability whatsoever. They may be good to go to for general pet care but if you are in a desperate situation please bypass these people.
