Dr. Mike McIntyre was THE best vet they had. They fired him and have been telling all of us (his clients) that he up and left us all. He would NEVER leave us. All of his clients had his personal cellphone number and he would answer a text no matter where he was. I won't step foot back in that clinic unless it's to see Dr. Mike!!!!

Dr. Mike saved my cat's life. She was given a diagnosis at another clinic for Cushing's disease. My co worker suggested I get a second opinion and recommended Dr. Mike. He specializes in glandular issues. I am so glad I did just that. I didn't think my cat had that disease. Surgery to remove her adrenal glands would have been devastating by anything I read on-line. Dr. Mike confirmed my belief that she was fine. Turns out she had a raging bladder infection my former vet somehow missed. I find the prices reasonable and Dr. Mike has helped me out when exams would have been ruinous to my checking account. Thank you! The medicines given are much easier on a cat owner. My previous vet would only prescribe liquid antibiotics that never worked. I begged him for a shot because weeks of liquids going into a cat is pure torture for us both. Dr. Mike gave my cats an antibiotic shot that lasts 14 days. It is highly effective every time. I found exams easy to schedule and I love the text reminder. I have gotten in to see the Doctor in about half the wait time of my previous vet. Dr. Mike takes the time to ask if I have any other questions or concerns which is in stark contrast to my last vet who barely talked to me at all. I am still floored when he takes extra time and actually calls me on the phone directly to talk about my issues. Thank you for that! The staff is friendly and helpful. There is no waiting to get into an exam room when I walk in and no waiting when I leave. This is a big thing with a scared cat exposed to people and noise she isn't used too. I appreciate that! Thank you! I found the waiting room spacious and clean as were the exam rooms. My only wish is that the clinic would ask dog owners would keep their animals on a regular leash. It is a bit annoying trying to navigate around those stretched out leashes strung all over the waiting room.

Leo (our senior kitty), was transferred over from All City Hospital as he is a regular at S.Nation. He went in for vomiting blood after he couldn't get an appointment sooner than 3 days out. I gave up and drove him to the hospital where he had an ulcer due to his hyperthyroidism acting up. Sioux Nation said they wanted to test his thyroid and stated the lab was $52 and when I called to check on him they said it was $150! I asked why it was different and they said he had a full panel of labs done not just the one I approved for them to do. They refused to change the price to the quoted $52 and also ran other tests I didn't approve and specifically asked to be called when the Dr came in to check him before treating so I could be sure of the costs. They treated and ran more tests and I wasn't able to decide anything, just expected to pay all the costs. On top of this they pulled his IV out early due to injuring his paw. The claimed All City didn't put his IV in right and it was a result but he was there for 12 hours fine, we checked on him personally 3 times and my fiance picked him up fine. In their care his paw swelled up three times (their words) the size from cut off circulation. He was in pain and unhappy trying to walk with it. I was told his IV was in until 7 PM and they said they pulled it early due to it not working after cutting the tape loose. My cat left more wounded then when he went in and he didn't get all his medicine due to his IV being taken out early...so I had to take him home and treat him myself. No education on how to was given but they took my money quick. Horrible experience, they call it miscommunication. They could have avoided all this if they would have listened to how urgent he needed to be seen. $550 later in bills now, and I am treating him we call it carelessness and robbery. Take your pet to anyone else but here. (PS) when picking him up the Dr was "gone for the day", no one called me to tell me of his status change and others at the desk were arguing over charges with quotes.

They are a very good affordable pet clinic. They have a shot clinic every first Saturday of the Month and a great grooming service. They were very respectful when our cat was nearing the end of its life and we had to put him down and gave us privacy in the room for the final moments with him. The only thing I recommend is All City if you want your cat's claws removed because Sioux Nation doesn't offer laser removal and laser removal is better because it's less painful and the recovery time is better.

I got to this location with my dog and she had a bloody toe nail due to a broken toe nail healing. I needed more of the wrap that is supplied by vet clinics since it is not sold in any stores and I did not have time to order online. Online and on the door it says this clinic closes at 3:00 pm on Saturday. I drove up at 1:00 and tried to open the door, it was locked. I then went around the corner and saw an employee entrance and two vehicles there. I then came back to the front entrance to two workers shutting the lights off and leaving. I tried calling when they were still inside the building and they ignored me and left.

I went to Sioux Nation for a dental cleaning for my 10 year old poodle last year. Dr. Jessica was the vet. I picked him up and he was incredibly lethargic and wobbly for the rest of the day. He also had a "complimentary nail trim" without my consent. I was angry because all of his nails were bleeding. His groomer files his nails - which was done the week prior, so the "service" was not needed. And I would have declined if prompted. He has had his teeth cleaned regularly for 6 years and has never had that kind of reaction in the past. I returned to Sioux Nation last week for the same procedure with the same dog and requested Dr. Beth. She was great. I explained my concerns to the receptionist about his odd reaction to anesthesia in the past and how I did not want a nail trim.

As a new customer, you always wonder what sort of run around you will get. I was impressed with how easy it was to make an appointment (I did it online), that we got right in, and that the exam/shots/nail trimming was done in about 15 minutes. The price was what really sold it for me - cost was half of what I had been paying at another vet office. I will definitely go back and will refer them to anyone who is looking for a vet.

We've been customers here for many years, and have now brought seven different dogs and cats in here for care (and quite a few of them were all the way to the end). We've always had good experiences, but in the last year or so, it seems the place has gotten so busy the level of customer service has dropped a little. No doubt in my mind they still offer the best prices in town, good service, and quality care, but it's just not quite what it used to be. Their monthly shot clinics are a great tool for affordable vaccines, but sometimes you may be in line for a bit (see photo)!

About once a month, this clinic takes walk-ins for your cat or dog to receive their shots: feline distemper, vaccinations, rabies, etc. It usually runs from 8 am to noon with maybe a 10 minute wait. I like coming here because the rates are pretty reasonable and you don't have to make any appointments. A lot of people work Monday through Friday, so coming here on Saturdays is beneficial to them. I would highly recommend this place. I think a lot of people don't even realize that Sioux Nation Pet Clinic is even over here right on North Cliff Ave.

Can't say enough about how they cared for our large German Shepard. Just trimming his toe nails is a chore for us but they did it in just minutes at one of their all day clinics. Their prices are very reasonable and our dogs shots are all up to date. I aso have to make mention that our dog is somewhat anti-social but their staff handled him with kid gloves and he responded to them as if he knew them all his life. I met Dr. Mike when I first moved to Sioux Falls in 2012. I had brought my golden retriever "Harley" in for shots. Dr. Mike had to put my baby boy down six months later. Harley was 11-1/2 years old and I had had him from 7 weeks old. I now bring my little baby girl Jasmine in. She is a golden retriever also. Age 3 years old. We started taking our pets there many years ago after we heard about the Saturday shot clinic. They show a lot of respect for the animals and one can tell they love them all. In fact, one of the vets remembers one of our cats quite well. We took him in for his first set of shots and he bolted out of his kennel. We had a small tragedy in our family and lost our first dog, it was hard but Dr. Mike listened and provided all the support I needed to get me through that rough time. Dr Mike was great with our cats but he's no longer there. Saw Dr Beth for our new puppy and the vaccine schedule was very aggressive and she wanted to neuter our puppy at 16 weeks of age and give shots at the same time. After our pup reacted to his first vaccines I suggested separating the vaccines or drawing a titer and neither of those were options. I felt his reaction wasn't taken seriously at all. I'm glad to have found a new vet who mirrors my concern for my beloved pets.

I took my cat here to get it neutered. Male cat. After several hours they told me the cat only had one testicle and they couldn't locate the other so it must only have one. I said ok. Can I get half off the bill since you only had to do half the job? They said no. Took my cat home and he was cut all along the bottom like a female cat would be after a spay. WTF? To add insult to injury my buddy's kids started calling him "one nut." Several months later my cat started sneaking out and getting In fights and spraying and stuff. I checked. Sure enough. He'd miraculously grown another testicle. Had to take him in a second time. I was not happy. I asked for half off again. Again they said no. They may be good at shots but I don't know if I'd trust them to do surgery on your pet. This is supposedly a common procedure.

Very reasonably priced, my hound mix needed a booster vaccination. Dr. Pam gave a thorough physical exam. And my dog didn't even realize she was given a vaccination. We requested Rimadyl because my pup tends to get over excited on the field and limps at home (lame). She gave us a different brand very inexpensively. My only issue was trying to find the clinic for the 1st time. It's by the Sioux Nation AG sign. And at the end she was given a treat as was her sister a border collie mix. They were happy there and so were we.

Great pricing, wonderful people! We normally go to all city pet care west but yesterday was a holiday so I couldn't get an appointment set up. My dog got glitter in her eye, I called all three all city pet care locations and no one was willing to see our baby. Thankfully we got an appointment with sioux nation with dr. Jessica, she was wonderful and ellie loved her!! Pretty reasonable cost as well. She also trimmed her nails at our request and our dog did so good with her. Thank you Sioux nation for taking care of our baby last minute when our normal vet wouldnt!

5 stars Customer since 2010 My dog was in a very serious condition; the lower half of his body was paralyzed. He had no control of bowel or bladder and could not move either leg, not even his tail! We saw our normal vet, who although had a full day I’m sure, saw us immediately. Dr. Mike knew exactly what to do and kept him for the day with iv meds and then sent us home with the same meds. He so cares about each and every animal he treats as if it were his own. Shadow is now back on his feet thanks to Dr. Mike!

My sister recommended Sioux Nation Pet Center to me. I called to get an appointment for routine health checks and immunizations. They offered me several options for an appointment within days (nice!). The waiting room is large and very clean and orderly. Reception staff was very friendly. My dogs are "barkers" so they got us in an exam room quickly for our comfort (and probably their sanity :) ). My dogs quieted when in the exam room. The exam room is large and very clean and orderly also.The assistant and doctor were very prompt. If I remember correctly they can weigh them right in the room. The doctor was very thorough and the assistant was helpful. Both employees were very understanding and helpful. All of my questions were answered. They even called the vet we went to previously to get more information on the dogs. I don't know how costs compare but my sister who recommended them said they are very reasonably priced. I would certainly recommend them based on my experience there and I plan to continue going there.

SNPC is fantastic. Everyone there is very caring, and they take the time to identify issues. One of my cats was sick last year, and I got in on short notice. Dr. Beth took care to listen to me and helped my guy out, and gave me tips and things to watch for. He's been good since. I've been to many vets over the years, and SN is my favorite. Prices are very reasonable, and the exams are thorough and any questions are answered. Even when I've called in with a question, it is always addressed. Great place!

We loved Sioux Nation Pet Clinic only because of Dr. Mike McIntyre. He knew our pets and our pets loved him. Now they are trying to tell us some stuff about him leaving when we know for a fact he was fired. We are not sure at all where to take our pets because they were so comfortable with Dr. Mike. Now we have to find a new vet. We are not happy the staff lied to us about what happened. Dr. Mike McIntyre is the only reason we went to Sioux Nation.

Great care for your pets at very good prices. I was shocked at how little I spent for shots and medication for two dogs. I go on the pet clinic days which is a huge money saver. It can get crowded but it's pretty well organized and the line moves quickly. But the best thing was when my dog ate a Lily bulb (which is poisonous to dogs) and my husband called in to see if he could bring her in because they were just about to close. The vet said we didn't have to unless she was exhibiting symptoms that were very clearly explained. He also told us to rinse her mouth out with water and give charcoal just to be on the safe side. I was so relieved. I feel like they really care about my dogs and me too. I won't take my dogs any place else.
