The vet who did the examination of my dog was very aggressive and recommended an overwhelming number of tests and procedures on my first visit. Felt more like a sales pitch than a checkup. I will not be returning.

Dr Angelos is an excellent, pragmatic vet. I visited her as a second opinion for a consult regarding treatment for a senior dog with pain and ortho issues. It was a little bit of a drive to see her, but well worth it. She clearly lays out realistic treatment options and their cost effectiveness, especially with regard to meds. She has a very holistic approach, and spends as much time is necessary to examine your pet and review her findings. I found her and the entire staff to be friendly and compassionate.

We were on a long road trip and our dog was having serious problems urinating. She had been treated two weeks before with antibiotics but it didn't seem to work. Not being from Rapid City we didn't know a vet; we called Mountain View Animal Hospital and they agreed to see us that very same morning. What an excellent experience! From the moment we walked in we knew everybody in the clinic cares for animals. We saw Dr. Brown just a few minutes after arriving and she was very thorough and understood our situation. After a few tests she discussed the possibilities with us and explained everything very clearly. In the end we decided with her to go for another course of a different antibiotic along with an anti-inflammatory to help with our dog's pain. It's been about a week now and she's doing much better. We're currently in Kansas but Mountain View has very kindly called us twice already to follow up on our case to make sure things were progressing well. I must say we were extremely impressed with the quality of care and service provided by Mountain View Animal Hospital and would highly recommend them to fellow pet owners!
