People seem nice but took my dog there to get groom and they cut near his eye and had to stitch the cut close, not something I was expecting. Scared me a little even!!

We went to this hospital for the first time when traveling based on Google reviews. We were not disappointed. Dr. Anderson was wonderful. We have many animals and a wellness plan for them through Banfield, so we are well versed in vet visits. He took time to answer all our questions and educated us with bone models. The doctor was very kind to our GSD as well. If we ever move here he would be our vet for sure. Thank you!

I brought my dog (a new rescue I didn't want to leave home and my vet was full) to board and be neutered when I was having surgery in Rapid City. I stopped by twice to visit and he was doing great. Kennels were clean. Staff was always friendly and great. Thanks for helping Riley.

To everyone in the blackhills please share. Do not adopt any cats out of blackhill humane society. Unless your willing to pay for life saving vet bills. I got 3 kittens one died in 2 days from respiratory infection we think. Got a new baby she just went to the dr. With an infection from being spayed and has to be knocked out and cut back open to fix it and my other baby is holding on to dear life with a respiratory infection. All three we had less then 2 weeks and both are sick and need lots of medical care. So thanks black hills humane society for really taking care of the pets

Black Hills Animal Hospital is hands-down the best veterinary clinic in South Dakota. We have been clients for the last 20 years, and they have provided outstanding care for our two miniature schnauzers. Dr. Anderson and his staff have offered support, guidance, and comfort on both occasions when it came time to say goodbye to our dear canine friends. Sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors and staff at BHAH. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly and considerate. They explained what was going to happen and were very friendly and empathetic to our cause. My children and I have moved here from elsewhere and one of our pets needed to be put down. Being that we haven't set up health for our pets it was a pretty stressful, emotional and financially difficult situation to go through in such a short time. I had gotten recommendations from coworkers and by what research was available online and I will say it came down to two factors for me when I had to decide where to take my children to put down their first pet. One was money of course - we all don't have the nest egg we would like and the bills to keep a roof over our heads come first. But the 2nd and most decisive factor was how they were verbally on the phone and their over all personality towards my questions. I was most impressed with Black Hills Animal Hospital PA. When it finely came to the day and time for us to take my son's pet Lois in to ease her out of her pain I was so worried about how will this go?, how will the kids take this?, and so forth that as a mother I put aside how this would affect me as well. They were very friendly and treated our Lois with love. The vet was very friendly to my children and she explained what the procedure was and how it worked and reassured us many times that she wouldn't feel anything. When all was said and done they gave us the curtesy of going out a back side door and not through the lobby since we were all pretty torn up afterwards. I appreciate everything they had done to help ease this pain for us the best they could with the situation we were in. To show how much they cared and sympathized with our family they had even sent a card that was signed by all the staff in the mail addressed to my son. Being that they have never met us before and had never had the opertunity to work with Lois it was a very heartfelt gesture that we appreciated a lot. My son who was devistated at Lois's lose was so touched he has kept the card. Anyone out there that has a child on the spectrum knows that even though they may not show there feelings on their sleeves doesn't mean that they don't feel them and this showed him that Lois and him mattered to the staff and that they weren't just another service to perform. Our pets are our baby's too and when you need to take them in to get their annual visits or worse like us. Please put Black Hills Animal Hospital PA at the top of your list. Thank you BHAH for everything you have done for my family! You folks are truly good people!

We went there for a haircut and the poor baby was absolutely not letting it happen. The staff was very nice about it and tried their best to work with him. Well definetly be going back with our less picky dogs

I have been using them as my primary vet for over 8 year. The facility is dated but it works and works good. I have never been pressured into anything by the vets. Also when i adopted my dog 8 years ago i took him there to be looked over and they didnt charge me anything since he was adopted. I don't know if they still do that, but it caused me to stick with them.

Took our cat here for neuter and declaw. Younger receptionist was quite rude. Vet tech and vet were pleasant enough. We weren't notified that our cat was was ok after surgery or when to pick up. After care meds and procedure were not communicated well. Not my best experience with a vet and I will probably go elsewhere next time.

Love this vet! My family and I have taken all our pets there. They are clean and friendly and have extremely reasonable prices. I was quoted $800.00 at a different vet for the same procedure that BH Animal Hospital did for $250.00.

Do u do work on crickets? I think my cricket is dying...hes not moving..much...do u have a vet ambulance or a oxygen chamber..if so can I use it my knee hurts..how much wood that cost me? Emily I don't think my job stacks is working..

Dr. Anderson is one of the best vets around. He is thorough and compassionate with all my animals. He is honest and upfront as well. The techs there are amazing and friendly as well. Pricing is a bit high but you do get what you pay for. I love this place and all their staff!
