My husband and I had taken our lab here her whole life. When my husband took her in for not eating, throwing up and not acting herself at all the vet made my husband feel dumb for bringing her in and told him she was heathy! Two weeks goes by and she's still not eating. We tried changing her dry food which helped at first and then changed her to wet food. She still wasn't eating and started throwing up even water. We called Sea Island and they referred us to Port Royal Veterinary since they were about to close. At Port Royal they discovered within minutes that our dog had a HUGE mass and it was tearing her stomach apart. Literally. If Sea Island would have listened to what my husband was saying then maybe we could have caught it in time and had it removed. Unfortunately we had to put down our beloved 8 year old lab. I would not recommend this place!

There isn’t enough nice things that I can say about the staff and facilities here. I have 3 small dogs and 1 cat who we take there and they have always taken very good care of them. They offer health plans for pets and discounts for products as well. My fur babies never seem scared or apprehensive about going there so I feel confident that even behind closed doors, my kiddos are being treated well. I would certainly recommend them to anyone, anytime.

We were on Fripp Island for a long weekend and one of our dogs became ill. We called Sea Island Animal Hospital and asked if we could bring our dog in without an appointment. They were booked up, but because our dog has a heart condition, Kristin said they would work us in as soon as we could get there. Once there, we did not have to wait too long. Dr Wilson and her staff could not have been more accommodating. Dr Wilson was thorough in learning about our dogs history, taking notes, and examining her. She ran tests and gave us some different options on how to proceed, explaining everything thoroughly. She administered medication and sent us home with additional medication that helped our dog improve and called both my husband and I to check on our dog the next day. Dr Wilson is a patient listener and has a natural rapport. Kristin at the front desk was wonderful as well...very thorough and helpful as we checked in and out and as we worked to get patient records from our vet at home on the fly. They even gave us 50% off the cost of our first exam, even though we are not residents of the area. We highly recommend Sea Island Animal Hospital and really appreciate the high level of care we received.

It was our first time there with our 10 yr. Old Dachshund Hannah. And while she was terrified the experience was a nice one, Dr. Murray took great care her examination every step of the way. Hannah passed with flying colors except for her awful breath which we all agreed on a plan of action for! Sea Island Animal Hospital is a wonderful place, so if you happen to be in need of a Veterinarian you would be in great hands from the Doctor's all the way down to the lovely ladies who are there to say "Hey" when walk in the front door with your furbabies! <3

I’m so disappointed in Sea Island Animal Hospital. I purchased a wellness plan last December for both our dogs (over $700 a dog). I went in today for a wellness exam, check on some skin issues and complete the testing and vaccines that come with our plan before it expires. After confirming the items covered I said move forward. Then at checkout they tell me sorry our fault but one of the tests you already had this year so you will either need to sign up for another year on the plan (over $1400) or you can pay out of pocket for the test. Seriously your mistake but I can pay for it

Dr. Horn always examines my kitties and I really like her--she is knowledgeable, friendly and has a good bedside demeanor. However, getting to Dr. Horn can be an adventure. I often have to repeat myself again and again to the phone operator, then the front desk worker, then the vet technician, then Dr. Horn. It is like none of the staff communicates with any of the other staff. Additionally, wait times can be long (I often wait days for a call back) and prices high. I use Sea Island Animal Hospital if I need specialty equipment like X-ray, ultrasound, etc. but for routine medicine I see Dr. Holden of Veterinary Wellness, Beaufort.

Dr. Horn and her staff are the most amazing team. They have literally SAVED my dog 3 times with 3 low hope surgeries. When we bring Bubba in every staff member knows the protocol for handling him and does it with exceptional care and understanding. Dr. Horn always goes above and beyond, even after hours coming all the way from HHI, personal calls checking in. Wonderful all around.

Sea island has (more than once) saved the day in emergencies with both of our dogs. If i could one star I would price gouging is a real thing and this is where it happens i took my animals to the vet for an ear check up and they initially charged me almost 300 dollars with no meds or anything and on too of that they tried to sell me a 10 dollar ear rinse fpr 24 dollars absolutely disgusting way to do business so not go here

There are times when you need a veterinarian. Recently we departed to avoid potential hurricane impacts. Our cat didn’t fare well on the trip to Florida, very car sick, lots of nausea, extreme discomfort. We contacted Sea Island, who had been our vets for a while. After seven phone calls and three promises to call in a prescription to help our cat weather the 7 hour return trip, they never followed through. Our cat suffered unnecessarily. Sea Island is no longer our veterinarian. There is no excuse to inflict such nausea and discomfort on any animal like Sea Island did. We would not want any other family to have a similar experience. This is the first review we have ever done and regret we had to leave such a negative review, but it is warranted.

Well maintained office with kennel options for boarding. Slightly more expensive than other local options and despite the "hospital" title, they are unavailable for emergencies outside of business hours. Very accommodating otherwise. My pup never appears anxious after a stay which signals fair treatment to me!

I absolutely love this vet. I recently moved from Beuafort and now have to find a new vet. If I didn't live 5 hours away, I would still drive back there to go to the vet. I've dealt with multiple vets here and have loved every one of them! I've had a couple of animal emergencies, and they have always fit me in and helped me and been fantastic. I can't say enough great things about this vet and constantly recommend them to everyone. Their prices are good, and they even give me a good military discount. I've always felt great and comfortable about bringing my furry family members here. If you are looking for a vet, look no further and bring your animals here.

Our Golden was a patient from 8 weeks to almost 11 years and there's not enough words to express how pleased we were with the care from Dr. Rockwell and the staff. What a great place to take your animals. I'm from Ohio and moved here because of the military. We have a Siberian cat and a German Shepherd...they are VERY needy and we always end up going in once/twice a week. They schedule us at the drop of a hat and are always so accommodating. Our vet (Dr. Murray) is ALWAYS so thorough, explains everything to a T, makes sure we understand and answers any and all questions that we have. I want to stay in Beaufort after the military strictly because of this place. I have never been to such a professional, caring vet and doubt I ever will after we move back home. We tried a vet before this one when we first moved and wouldn't recommend it. THIS IS THE PLACE TO BRING YOUR ANIMALS.
