I have been going to Grace Animal since it first opened. They are so compassionate and truly care about your pets. Dr. Loonam was our first vet, he operated on our English Pointer with excellent results. We are currently bringing our 10 year old terrier mix to see Dr. Brianna Davis, she is wonderful, explains in detail what maybe wrong with your pet and always offers to give you an estimate up front, so no surprise, when you get your bill. We have boarded all of our fur babies and no problems. The staff are friendly and helpful especially Linda, If you want TOP NOTCH VETERINARY HELP THIS IS THE PLACE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Hands down the absolute best veterinary clinic! Dr Tim is wonderful. We had to put our dog down and he was so compassionate and loved on him with us. The staff is amazing. They are accommodating, patient, kind. We've seen all of the vets and every one of them is amazing. My mom's dog was in dire need of help, and her usual vet was closed, so she took him there with no problem. I cannot say enough good things about Grace. They truly love animals and it definitely shows! Also, if you sadly have to put your animal down, they take such good care of you, your pet, make a donation in their honor, and make sure you are ok before you leave. They're like family!

I took my sick kitten in for a check up and left with a broken heart, a bill of $224 and NO solutions or treatments. My kitten was diagnosed with FIP based on physical exam and X-ray only. Dr. Loonam had no intention to help me. He only told me to email him when the kitten was getting so sick he had to be put down. I ended up going home and doing research and finding an amazing vet who not only drained fluid from my kittens belly, but send me home with vitamins and supplements to help my kitten have a better life! I will not be going back to Grace Animal Hospital. Dr. Loonam has lost his compassion and passion for helping animals, it appears.

A great place to take your pet for in depth care. The staff are unbelievably compassionate and really do care. We had to take our baby girl Princess, God bless her, to be euthanized. It was a heart wrenching decision, but we loved her as we do our children. Everyone at Grace animal hospital went above and beyond our expectations. This is a great place for anyone in search of a place that really cares.

Just an FYI. Our female Bichon 15 years old got deathly ill yesterday and we thought it was over. She was suffering with a rapid breathing problem. My wife called our Vet for the last 3 years (Grace Animal Hospital) and explained we felt she was about to die. They told my wife they were booked for the day and to find another place.......WELL we called Batesburg-Leesville Animal Hospital and they said to bring her right in. They took her right in (office was full) and checked her out. The x-rays showed a possible lung infection and we now have her on meds. To say the least we will never go back to Grace Animal Hospital......ever. That is not what I feel a “Hospital” should treat their paying customers.

5 Stars for Dr. Dover!!! It was our first time at Grace Animal Hospital with our fur babies Trooper and Wilson. Dr. Dover is so nice and I was extremely impressed with the thorough Wellness Exam he gave to both dogs. The building was very clean and they are adding on more examination rooms to meet their clients needs. Grace will definitely have our business in the future!

Our dog became ill after boarding with them and was told to bring him in to be checked out. They could not say what was wrong with him but charged us for an office visit. We have been boarding and using their veterinarian service for three years and treated horrible when questioned why we were being charged when our dog took ill under their care. So we no longer use their services. We had an issue like this before at another vet/boarding facility and they took care of everything. I guess they could see the financial value of a long term customer. They got our money for that one office visit but lost money on years of boarding and office visits.

Need to share my terribly disappointing experience with Grace Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge. I took my dog there a few weeks ago in regards to an allergy that she had that wouldn't go away. They did a great job diagnosing her and prescribing a steroid that seemed to work well in clearing things up. Because of the success of the steroid, after speaking with the owner/vet, Dr. Loonam, I was told that I could come pick up a prescription to continue the steroid any time before 6 PM, as that was their closing time on weeknights. So last night, I RACED through terrible traffic and terrible weather to make the nearly 45 minute drive there after work. I arrived right at 5:57 PM...only to see the doors closed and the lights off. No one was inside...oh, except for the ABC Columbia news crew that they had in there, filming and giving them great free publicity while they ignored a paying customer who had arrived prior to their stated closing time. So I sent an annoyed email, saying that they could either a) compensate me for my wasted time by discounting the prescription and subsequently keep my business, or b) take the lazy approach and send the prescription elsewhere, thereby losing my business. So I get a call from them today...not only do they say that they'll send the prescription elsewhere, not only do they ridiculously say that discounting the prescription would be "paying me," but they justify their customer service lapse, by saying "Yeah, they left a few minutes early. There was no one there, so they went ahead and left." If you state your closing time is 6...if your OWNER SENDS ME AN EMAIL SAYING THAT I CAN GET THERE BY 6....YOU STAY OPEN UNTIL 6. I have worked/managed in sales and customer service for over a decade and a half. If you close at 6, you close the doors at 6. If a customer walks in a 5:59:59, you close WHEN THAT CUSTOMER IS DONE. You certainly don't close BEFORE that time, and then make a customer feel like they are the fool for expecting that you would honor your commitments. This seemed lost on the employee from there that called me. So, if anyone has a vet to recommend, please share. I have one to certainly NOT recommend.

Horrible!! The main vet there, whoever he is, wouldn't even touch my dog. Looked through his record and said he can't do anything for him. Refused to do a blood test for me, got mad when i said i did my research, went against everything i said and was very confrontational. He was not my dog's main vet, who was on maternity leave. That vet definitely needs to go back to veterinarian school for more training. UGA may help him out a little. Dr LOONAM you are not worth any animals time when they are sick. Your job it to get them better, not put them down. I give 0 stars!!!

I never post bad reviews about anyone and generally have a high tolerance, but I couldn't let this go. I took my dogs to Grace for 2 years. I was brand new to South Carolina, and their office was minutes from my house. Their office is gorgeous, rooms are clean, the place smells nice. I have no complaints about the doctors. We saw Dr. Davis and she was always very kind and provided excellent care to my pets. However, their office staff is rude, uncaring, and inflexible. My very first visit to the office, I sat in front of the reception desk and was completely ignored by the front desk staff. They were playing with a puppy behind the desk. I had to say "excuse me" before they even looked in my direction so I could sign in. I was 2 feet away from them! My next visit was to pick up medications, and I arrived before the office opened. I stood in front of the door for fifteen minutes PAST when they were supposed to open before they opened the doors for me. They were watching me from inside the building, sitting at the reception desk and talking. I put up with the horrible customer service because I liked Dr. Davis, and because it was so close to my home, but the breaking point was after I had not one, but TWO emergencies within a month of each other. Once was when my dog had a broken molar (slab fracture), and was in obvious discomfort and had trouble eating. I called to make an appointment and they weren't able to even SEE us for a week, and weren't able to schedule surgery for tooth removal for more than a MONTH. I went elsewhere to have the procedure done within the next few days. Finally, my dog was bitten in the mouth by another dog, and had a giant hematoma forming under his tongue. It pushed his tongue over to the side and hung out the side of his mouth, and we were afraid it was going to get bigger until he couldn't breathe. I called at 4:45PM when they were clearly still open, and they said that even though I had an emergency, they weren't able to see me and recommended I go to an emergency clinic or to another vet within the area. The woman on the phone sounded like she could care less about the well being of my pet. I never looked back, changed vets, and I am very happy where I am now. SO very disappointed in you, Grace. If it were an option, I would have given you 0 stars.

Emergencies happen. Last minute scheduling happens... so when someone calls up to ask if you have an opening (even if it's around holidays) don't LAUGH at them as a response. You don't know my story; you don't know what is happening in my life; you DON'T KNOW that family members have passed and I am trying desperately to find a place to put my dogs. Instead you assume I'm a last minute scheduler that didn't plan ahead for Christmas vacation. Even if I was that person - YOU DON'T LAUGH AT THEM. How rude!!! Get your chuckle when you're off the phone instead of adding extra pain to a situation.
