I can’t say enough great things about the staff and doctors at this animal hospital. We moved out of the area, but make the drive in order for my dogs to get Their vet care here because I want the best for my dogs. From the front desk, to the technicians, assistants, kennel staff and doctors, everyone is fantastic. My dogs normally see Dr. Traber who is fantastic. She is gentle and kind to the animals and is especially great at explaining the treatment plan. I have one overly friendly dog and one nervous dog. She sits on the floor to put the nervous pup at ease and lets the friendly one climb all over her. The technicians are all very thorough with obtaining history and treat the animals very well. From fun puppy visits to surgeries, our experiences have been exactly what I have hoped for and more. My pets have seen all the doctors at Cleveland Park and we love them all! My dogs usually like females over males, so my pets have also seen Dr DePalma many times and she is wonderful. Great with the animals, very knowledgeable and does a great job at explaining the treatment. We love Cleveland Park East!!!

Absolutely love this place. Patricia the tech is amazing.We have a new German Shepard puppy named Major and she was so sweet to him and never git aggrevated by all the questions i was asking. After a difficult experience with another veterinary hospital, I shopped around, read reviews and visited 6 different vet services when we got a new puppy a year ago. From the moment Heath greeted me, I was impressed. The friendliness, helpfulness, willingness to listen and make suggestions all convinced me this was the place to bring my new dog. Heath readily had someone give me an impromptu tour where I met probably 8 or 9 different people who were all friendly and welcoming- even though I had no appointment and no animal with me. After bringing Tilly in and meeting Dr. Treber, , we knew immediately that this is the best vet in town. After a year, our opinion has not changed. Tilly is a rat terrier with more energy than we anticipated or could handle. Dr. Treber gave us advice and a a safe medicine to use so that when our elderly parents visited, Tilly didn’t knock them over. Then when Tilly got hives, Dr. Treber got down and sat with Tilly on the floor so she would quiet down and be examined. I’ve never seen a vet get on the floor and sit with a dog but it convinced me that she is a dog whisperer! We could not be happier. I would recommend Cleveland Park East vets over any in Greeenville. Yes, it is not cheap, but neither is any vet we have ever visited with any of our other dogs. They are worth the money and spend quality time with you and your dog each and every visit.

I took two rescue ferrets in and Dr. Finley was able to diagnose one with glaucoma and get him into surgery quickly. He had difficulty clotting and the staff was so great, they went above and beyond to get him well. We love them so much we switched our dogs to them. My dog Jax is there now for surgery on his knee. The staff have kept me informed and I know he is being well cared for. Another big plus is the office is clean and doesn't use flower smelling chemical.

Saturday a week ago, our cocker spaniel become very ill. We called the vet who had seen him with regular visits over the past 5 years, but they were unable to care for him. My husband drove our dog to Cleveland Park East and Dr Finley took him right in. they rapidly diagnosed that Winston was in acute kidney failure. All weekend he was given intensive IV and antibiotic therapy, and by Monday had begun to recover. We are eternally grateful for the loving competent care he received, and especially thankful for the frequent phone calls that did so much to reassure us that he was in the best of hands. As of today, his one week follow-up labs indicate that both his kidneys and liver have recovered as a result--a testimony to the swift interventions he received. Much thanks also to Dr Traber, who has wonderfully continued his care, and to Trichia and Vicki who showered him with love despite his "I feel better now" growls. My husband and I most highly recommend this Cleveland Park East and its staff!!

I had gotten frustrated with my former vet because of never being able to get appointments that would work with my schedule. The last time I attempted to make an appointment there and was unable to do so, I called Cleveland Park East and could have gotten an appointment that day. The receptionist was very friendly and polite. My husband took my Cavalier there the next day for a limp and fever. The doctor and assistants were very knowledgeable and caring and we felt like he got very good care. They called the very next day to deliver the results of the blood work and to check on my pet. The staff at Cleveland Park East truly cares about our fur babies just like we do. We will be taking both of our dogs there from now on!!

I have my dog groomed here often. I often see and deal with Dr. DePalma. Other than the doctor the remaining staff is so very unfriendly. The attitude that they give, is that they have better things to do and they are better than you are. Especially, on the phone, they are more than terrible and unfriendly.

I don't write reviews as often as I should, but feel compelled to share this one despite the sad nature of the circumstances. This past Saturday morning my wife and I brought in our 13 year-old dog, Marley, on short notice, quite aware that euthanasia was imminent. Putting down this loyal companion was one of the most heart-wrenching experiences we have ever experienced, but Dr. DePalma and her technicians treated Marley and us with the utmost tact, kindness and respect. We want to express our gratitude for their caring and the expert services provided during the past 3 years that we have lived in this area.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. The staff is absolutely wondeful. My wife and I speak with Heath at the front desk almost everytime we are in there and he makes the visit enjoyable. He's always smiling, very knowledgeable and if he doesn't have an answer he will find someone who does. The same goes for the rest of the front desk staff as well. The vets and vet techs are excellent and always make us and our furry friends comfortable and feel welcome. They helped to save our sweet chocolate lab from Parvo when he was a pup and now he's a strong 80 lbs ball of fun. I highly recommend this vet to anyone in the area.

I would like to thank Dr.Traper and the staff at Cleveland Park East Hospital. One of our dogs just recently had a tumor removed and 10 teeth pulled. Dr. Traper and staff always kept my Wife and I informed of everything that was going on. Our three dogs are like our kids (just as well as a lot of other people) we want the best care given. I am very happy to say this Animal Hospital met all of our exceptions and more. Now that all three of our dogs have had their teeth cleaned and pulled, each experience for us as dogs lovers made it very simple to leave the next one because we knew the type of care they would receive. My 31 year old mare had to be put down and Dr. Clark, along with his assistant, came out to my farm as quickly as possible. They were compassionate and kind in a very difficult time. Dr. Clark explained what he would do and reiterated during each step. They allowed me some privacy with her before the final step. My thanks to them for being so kind and understanding in such a difficult time of losing a companion of 31 years.

My hamster had a bit of a cold and I was looking for a vet in the area that worked with small mammals. It's always hard to find a vet that really knows exotics, but I was instantly impressed with the care and knowledge from Dr. Traber and the rest of the staff. The visit was quick and low-stress for my hamster - where as other places were too timid to even handle her or needed to scruff her, Dr. Traber was able to do everything gently. Price wasn't awful for a check up and medicine. I'd definitely recommend other small animal owners here!

Uncompassionate. Had to have one of my pet rats put to sleep, they did NOT want to wait until she was completely unconscious before they wanted to do the heart stick.. tried to lie to me and say that it was normal for her to still blink and shake her head.. this is not the first time I’ve had the procedure done they are not supposed to react at all if you touch their eyelid.. I left and had another vet finish the job. Very unprofessional. Very traumatic. I will never set foot in this place again. Also I want to point out they will try to sell you surgery even if your pet has a low chance of making it! These people only care about money, and not your pets!

I recently adopted a Siberian Husky, Akira, from an owner that could not care for her due to personal reasons. Upon bringing her in they told me immediately that with me being proactive in getting her vet care that I’ve saved her life, literally. Akira is only 1y2m according to her vet records and hadn’t been seen since a pup. Akira had hook worms and whip worms and hadn’t been prescribed heartworm meds in a year from this facility. I of course did the worm med and heartworm meds to heal her and get her back on track to gain weight as she was underweight for her age. After reviewing her records on VitusVet I seen that she was coming due for her Rabies and annual blood work so I took her back in immediately to have this addressed as well. Upon returning this past Friday the Vet on duty was very helpful in what to feed her as well as preventative measures to ensure her health to continue going in the right direction. I couldn’t be happier than I am with the professionalism and sincere concern they’ve had for the well being of my new family member!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting their fur baby to live many many years

We had to find a new vet for our lil ferret baby Waldo when he suddenly stopped eating and drinking. The vet was knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and quickly developed a comforting relationship with Waldo and us. She understood that we didn’t have all the money we wish we did, and tried to help us figure out the best course of action to figure out how to help Waldo using the resources we did have. They’ve been excellent at fitting us in and getting Waldo the care he needs to build his energy back up and fight the horrible illness he has, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Great people, nice facility, I really couldn’t imagine better care for our little guy.

Dr. Finley saw Palmetto Saturday morning for a possible urinary tract infection. There is no substitue for experience and Dr. Finley has been practicing veterinarian medicine for over forty years. Dr. Finley actually opened his practice at Cleveland Park Animal Hospital Simpsonville in 1979. The office is as clean as your Great Grandma's kitchen(spotless). The smell when you walk in is of fresh lemons. You would never guess that so many cats and dogs visit this place every day; there is no musky odor, such as is found in other practices. The vet-techs and doctors are wonderful and its great peace of mind knowing your pet will get world-class care on every visit. Thank you Dr. Finley :) The Wells Family

We tried several places before finding and sticking with Cleveland. We've had only good experiences here, for all of our dogs and cats. Cleveland has several locations, which makes it convenient if you move, which we did. And all of their locations are clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. The techs always seem knowledgeable and friendly. We've used Cleveland for boarding several times. Their prices are reasonable, and they treat the dogs well. I also like the doctors there, and have not found any that I did not like. They really cared for our pets, whether they were sick or healthy. Great place. You can trust them.

These guys took amazing care of my 2 year old Angora cat. Sundae is like a child to me, so when she ate a large amount of string, and became very sick, I was distraught that I could lose my best buddy. The attendants helped me rationalize through the problem and think positively, not the least bit annoyed with me (even when I came in this morning at 7:30 sharp to see my baby girl). Dr. Finley helped me really understand what she was facing during surgery and it definitely shows that he has a heart for the animal first and foremost. I have found my vet for life!

The front desk staff isn't very friendly. As we've been to this establishment several times, it isn't a one time occurrence. Also, they have two, battery operated candles on a table which are supposed to be lit, along with a lovely note asking for us to be quiet in memory of those who are losing loved ones. Anyway, I have yet to see these candles lit. It's a lovely sentiment, I just wish they would take the time to replace the batteries in the candles.

We had the unfortunate experience of having to take our dog, after he had passed, to this vet to have him cremated. Upon our arrival, we were immediately taken into a room and met with techs and the doctor. They were the most kind and compassionate group of people I have ever dealt with in the animal world. Our entire visit took no more than ten minutes, and the doctors gave us the privacy and warmness that we needed at such a difficult time. This was my first experience with this office (my family uses them, I had never been) and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking care for their pets in the Simpsonville area.
