I did not have a regular vet for my dogs, my staffordshire terrier mix cut her foot in a our yard and I knew she needed stitches. I called one vet and they refused to see us since I hadn't brought her there before. I called Clevland Park and they told me to bring her as soon as I could. They were so kind and helpful. It was clear that each person working cared for their animals but for the people too. I was very nervous and worried and the staff was comforting and reassuring. I would recommend them to anyone.p and will definitely be taking my dogs here in the future.

I did my research when we moved to Greenville before deciding on a vet and I am never disappointed in my choice. Dr Hammett has been wonderful to both our cats. She took extra care with one and discovered a heart problem and now we just saw her again with our other cat who had been having problems for years! Everyone we have seen has been wonderful to them and it's so nice that they just fuss over our little fur babies! The building is beautiful and I especially love seeing their giant (and great smelling) Christmas tree every year! Also, the fact they will take walk ins is a blessing. If we ever move away from the area I will be so sad for our pets to leave their care.

He was never taken back to be properly checked by a vet at any point the day he died

Not only did we receive a card in the mail, they didn't rush our appointment and then when my dog had surgery, answered all my questions (even when I was obsessing). I highly recommend taking your pets here. Edit: I felt like I needed to update, since it has been 2 years. We have had so many trips to the vet, for annuals and emergencies, and every doctor we have seen has been professional and courteous along with the staff. We have been seeing Dr. Miller pretty regularly, and CANNOT express how much we adore her. She truly cares for your pet. She saw the signs of Lacey’s syndrome before they were really terrible and has pointed us in the best direction of care possible. We can’t imagine going anywhere else with Lacey.

My cat was going downhill fast and I wasn't satisfied with the response from the vet I was taking her too. They got me in quickly without an appointment and evaluated Tonks. Unfortunately her liver was full of masses and clearly wasn't working. In a short period of time her health had deteriorated so rapidly I had already known going in that I wouldn't leave with her. They were very very kind and it spoke volumes to me. This is a place that truly cares about your pet even when it's the end. I'll always miss my pretty kitty but I'll always be thankful they helped me make sure she never suffered.

I am currently a veterinary student who just spent a week externing with the team at Cleveland Park Animal Hospital. Let me say, I had a tremendously wonderful week. The staff truly cares about each and every animal and treats them as though they were their own pet. The doctors are a phenomenal team and work with each other at every turn to make sure the best standard of care is being given to every patient that comes through the door needing care. I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I have had to date, and I can only hope to one day get to work alongside this fabulous team again. They were a wealth of knowledge, offering an accelerated standard of care, while managing to do what is best in every case, for each patient. CPAH rocks!

One of the best Vets around. The staff is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The Dr.'s are also very personable and treat your pet like they are their own. It is also easy to get in contact with the office whether it is the phone or e-mail. They also have an awesome computer system that you can log into from the web, that shows you everything that your pet is taking or past visits and what procedures were performed....you can also refill prescriptions on there as well. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital!!!

Horrible clinic. I've been here multiple times for my pets, and this vet infuriates me more each time. The exam fees are absurdly high, and you will be charged every single time, even for re-checks, which they will tell you are needed every week (or three days). They scared me and my husband with all the awful things that could happen if we didn't bring her back for her re-check, but then just gave us more unnecessary medicine (that is expensive, but somehow during follow-up exams they feel is not at all necessary). I've thrown away enough money on nice but incompetent vets. From now on I'll be visiting a vet that cares more for my pet's health than their bottom line.

If you are new to Greenville or if you just are not satisfied with the care your pet is receiving, Cleveland Park Animal Hospital is my recommendation for you. I am a native Greenvillian. I have seen several generations of veterinarians in my lifetime dating back to when I was a child and my parents brought our pets to Cleveland Park. The current doctors are compassionate and work hard to provide the best care possible for all animals. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the ability to make appointments to reduce time spent waiting is most helpful. The practice is online to allow client access to pet records, but they mail reminders for routine services such as shots and heartworm testing. They work with all small and large animals. They offer grooming and indoor boarding with scheduled regular exercise; however, with my assortment, I do not take advantage of these services. I just know that this practice gives me the confidence that everything that medically is possible will be done for the welfare of my pets. My four dogs and one lone cat are my children, and I want them to have the best medical care available. I could not get this peace of mind anywhere else.

Thank you for such a great visit last week!! Cleveland Park Animal Hospital is the best facility in the Upstate for your animal's health. Their main facility has a brand new state-of-the-art surgery center, including state-of-the-art Ultrasound!! I have gone to CPAH since I was a little girl and have seen their development over the years and their committment to animal wellness and progressive healthcare for furry (and not-so-furry) family members. Aside from being the oldest clinic in Greenville, the staff is absolutely amazing!! All of the Vet Techs have been there for years and really know their stuff. Having worked for an excellent vet office in northern VA, I am used to a certain quality of care. After extensive shopping around, I am very pleased to have found it here at Cleveland Park Animal Hospital. I have been several times now with my animals, and have always had a good experience. I have been several days of the week M-F at varying times throughout the day, and wait times are always minimal. I always schedule an appointment for regular checkups, but I have had 2 mini emergencies since I started coming to this vet last October and had to do a walk-in. Staff were very kind, always accommodating, and saw us promptly without any extra walk-in charge. I have only been once to one other veterinarian in the area, so it is hard to comment on prices, but they seem fair, especially compared to vets up north. The only thing I wish they would do differently (and maybe I can simply request this on my next visit) is to perform vaccines and blood draws in front of me. Many people's animals get more nervous when removed from their owners to have procedures done.

We moved to Greenville a few years ago and were looking for a vet who would have compassion and understand the special needs of our 13 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull. Dr. Heather Miller did not hesitate to meet with us to hear our requests and assured us they would be able to handle our unique situation. When the time came to put our beloved boy Buddy down, she and her vet tech came to our house and accomodated our every need. One of our worst days ever was made so much better with the tenderheartedness, empathy, grace, kindness and respect they showed. They allowed our family (and two other pups) to grieve and spend time with our boy before they removed him to be cremated. I cannot thank them enough and highly encourage anyone who is looking for a new vet to consider Cleveland Park Animal Hopsital. Doctor Heather Miller and her staff are one of a kind.

The Cleveland Park Animal Hospital is the best animal Hospital I have come across in 20 years!!!! I have had a lot of disappointing vets in my day. I have been an owner of West highland terriers for 20 years. Dr. Shannon Hiat and her staff are the best in the business. Dr. Hiat and Allison have been treating my Westie for 5 months now and Benji has never looked so good and so healthy. Dr. Hiat and her staff have gone way out of their way to make my little Westie happy. I highly recommend using Cleveland Park Animal Hospital. Cleveland Park Animal Hospital is absolutely incredible. I filled out a new patient form online, the receptionist was in contact with me immediately! I was able to set up my appointment via email (which was great due to work!) When I arrived, the staff was friendly and put up with my rambunctious husky throughout our visit. When the doctor found out I took my dog on hikes, he immediately suggested a shot that would help keep my dog safer in the wilderness. I would definitely recommend CPAH.

My cats just went for their annual exam this afternoon. I had never met this vet before and she did not introduce herself to me, barely looked at the cats or gave them an exam. The print out I asked the receptionist for had their same information from last year. Not a sentence different and didn't note a thing I had told them about! Don't know their heart rate, nothing (probably didn't even check it). Didn't ask me if I had any questions or concerns and was not warm or compassionate. I was in and out in 10 minutes with $128 out of my pocket. Totally disappointed and ready to change vets now.

The staff is always friendly and prices are competitive. For grooming you don't have to make an appointment. Just have your pet there by 9:30 and they will call you when its ready. The only complaint I have is, and it may be petty, but when I take my dog for grooming, he still smells like a dog when I pick him up. I can tell by his coat that he is bathed but he doesn't smell as fresh by the time I pick him up...This is not the case with Pet Smart.

We love them. They are so sweet and know our two pups by name, although we are not there all the time. Most of the Vets have cared for our dogs, and we trust all of them. It's always clean and everyone is friendly. Plus, there's a nice waiting room-if you're going to have a long wait, it's better to do it here rather than an uncomfortable lobby elsewhere!

My dog had surgery by another vet and was using an Ecollar. Long story short he destroyed the collar and digested some of the hard plastic. When my dog tried to have a bowel movement there was so much blood! I called the vet that had done the surgery and they wouldn't see him for a week. I frantically started searching for another vet and when Cleveland Park Animal Hospital came up, I called and explained what was happening with my dog, she put me on hold, came back a minute later and asked me how quickly I could get bring him. They worked him in within a half hour or so. Everyone was so friendly it was amazing! We haven't gone back to the other vet since. Cleveland Animal Hospital treated my dog like they cared and he wasn't just a number. They have since took the sutures out from the other vet and even called to check on him a week later. I am so impressed!

I can’t even begin to find the words to thank you all and tell you how absolutely wonderful and amazing you guys are. I came in this morning inconsolable and a crying mess from my cat being sick. Mr.Man is more than a cat to me. Mr.Man is my emotional support animal who has gotten me through some incredibly dark times in my life. He also literally saved my life. I would be dead today if it wasn’t for Mr.Man. When I saw that he was sick this morning I immediately thought the worst and fell apart. The vet I usually use didn’t open until 9 and Mr.Man couldn’t have waited that long. So I Googled where I could take him and came across Cleveland Park Animal Hospital. I called them crying, barely able to speak, and they told me to bring him in right away. When I walked through those doors immediately I was greeted with smiles and Mr.Man was taken right back. They didn’t ask me to fill out any paperwork and put down a deposit before they took him back, they just took him back without hesitation! As soon as they looked him over and saw that he was not critical and all his vitals were good they immediately came out and let me know he wasn’t going to die and that he was stable. It was only then when they gave me some paperwork to fill out. Any other vet clinic would have asked for a deposit, make you fill out paperwork, and then wait for hours to fit them in their schedule without an appointment. While I was filling out the paperwork I was offered a cup of coffee and I’m not sure what her name was but she made my coffee for me, got me some Kleenex, and consoled me and reassured me they were going to take good care of him. I was shocked at how gentle and compassionate everyone was with Mr.Man. Dr.Roark was so wonderful with not only Mr.Man but me too! When Dr.Roark came in my cat was hiding in the corner with his head underneath the counter. Instead of picking Mr.Man up and stressing him out any further Dr.Roark got down on the floor with him, spoke in a soft and reassuring voice to Mr.Man. He made sure to explain everything to me, went over all of his blood tests, and reassured me Mr.Man was going to be just fine!!! I was expecting it to be thousands of dollars when I checked out and was shocked how cheap it was! But I wouldn’t care how expensive they are because they are WORTH it. When it comes to my babies I will pay whatever it costs to make sure they are taken care of! We are now home and Mr.Man is already feeling better and is cuddled up with me purring!!! Thank you guys so much for everything you did for me and Mr.Man. I will be recommending you guys to EVERYONE and I will absolutely be using you guys from now on for all three of my cats! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Not only did you save Mr.Man’s life you saved mine right along with his!!!

We have had issues with this vet and will be switching to a new one. The facility is beautiful and the staff is usually flexible. However, few things to keep in mind if you choose this vet. -Our pup got an eye infection so we brought her in a few months ago. A week or so after that we went to board her and we were told her vaccines were out of date. The vet never checked her charts nor notified us that she needed shots even though we had just been in the office. -We were asked "are you planning to spay your pup" during a visit. We spayed her at this vet. And it said on the chart that she was spayed. I do not think that much attention is given to each dog ... -"Walk ins" are available but you might need to wait hours to see a vet. I took this morning off work to take our pup (limping) and sat for an hour with no update. I was told to come back this afternoon so my husband took off work around 3 and sat for another hour to be told he could be seen at 5:30. The staff ignored us and was not transparent about wait times. -Our puppy broke her toe when she was 10 weeks old and they treated her here. We traveled while she was in her splint and had to get it re-wrapped in Michigan. We were told by that veterinarian that it was poorly wrapped and that she was growing an infection in her toes. There are numerous other issues that we have seen and I will not list them here. We stuck this out for longer than we should have because of proximity to our home. I understand that no vet is perfect ... and I am sure we will encounter different issues wherever we choose to go next. However we are extremely unhappy considering the high prices that this vet charges.

Dr. Roark and Cleveland Park Animal Hospital are the BEST! Their facility is beautiful, new, clean and comfortable. I moved here recently and brought my Westies to see Dr. Roark for some stomach issues on a friend's recommendation. He diagnosed them with food allergies and since then we have had no problems! It was a relief to finally know what was causing my pups so much discomfort. He is very sweet and kind to my Westies, even getting down on the floor to examine one who was nervously hiding underneath the chair. The team of vet techs is just as sweet, gentle and thorough. I trust them for all my pups needs.

When I called on a Sunday evening and said I had a horse down and needed to speak with the on-call vet, the representative immediately went into action. She both understood the significance of a down horse and even more importantly, she cared. Within a minute she reached out to Dr. Miller and then stayed on the line until she knew we connected. During such a stressful time I really appreciated how caring she was. I hope someone can let her know and give her my thanks.

I was not very impressed, we waited a long time, the vet had a student with her and was more concerned with teaching the student about our pet than giving our dog his check up. They charge way more than any other vet I've taken my dog to. To top it off, they don't give out prescriptions to 3rd party vendors like 1800petmeds, so I have to pay their inflated prices. I will not be returning to Cleveland Park Animal Hospital.

This veterinary clinic is the best I have found so far most other places I have been to require an appointment even when you have an emergency they will take care of your pets as a walk-in most early mornings or they will try to work you in after walk-in hours they took very good care of my service dog when he got very sick and needed surgery they may cost a but more but they are worth every penny

Always kind, always courteous. They know my dogs by name and are always happy to see them (even though they can be a bit of a handful). The vets here also give multiple options for treatment at multiple price points, and I feel like they are careful to not recommend unnecessary procedures.

I had an AMAZING first visit ever to the Cleveland Park Animal Hospital on Martin Luther King Day - a busy one for them given the minor holiday. Despite their work load, they managed to arrange an appointment for me and my 7 year old cat who was no longer eating or drinking. They were incredibly gentle, understanding and did amazing things for Rumble (our cat). We were seen in less than 30 minutes, Rumble was diagnosed and treated within the next 30 minutes, we went home to continue care and in less than 2 hours, Rumble was eating again! And the hospital was available for us to return within 24 hours if he did not resume eating. Bottom Line? The best description of their service is this: They treated my cat like it was their own. THANK YOU!

Just had a terrible experience at the Cleveland Park Animal Hospital. Dropped off Butler for a simple 3 night stay in their boarding facilities. When I picked him up, they couldn't find his blanket or any of his bones that I left with him. They finally found the blanket, but she never found any of his toys. Although I sent way more than enough food (and I know he usually doesn't eat as much when he's boarding), there was magically no uneaten food returned to me. They charged me almost $3 every time they gave him his meds; I discussed that he would need to have meds administered when I made the reservation, and they never once mentioned it was an additional charge. When I dropped him off, she asked me if I would like to have Butler have a bath at the end of his stay. Again, no discussion of an additional charge (and my last vet included a bath when boarding for more than 3 days FOR FREE!)...another unexpected $30 charge! They also made him get an additional vaccine, even though he just had his annual and all his vaccinations. When it was all said and done, the bill was more than twice what it should've been and I never even got an "I'm Sorry" from the staff. I'm shopping for a vet in GVL and these people just got crossed off the list. Nothing like this EVER happened at Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital - Veterinary Emergency Hospital - so sad they can't board Butler anymore!! Vet/boarding suggestions in GVL, anyone?!?

The worst! My cat scratched a tech which later they claimed was a bite. They reported us to DHEC since my cat was not current on her vaccines, but has had vaccines in the past. They acted as if my indoor cat is some disease infested animal. My cat my need to be quarantined because of this. This is beyond ridiculous.

these guys are great. i was worried about taking our cat, gandolf, to the vet. he has been an indoor cat since he was a kitten, has had very little human or animal interaction, and is extremely skittish. i was sure i was going to pick up a furry ball of nerves at the end of the day but i had no reason to worry. when i went to pick him up, he was very chill and seemed to have had a nice visit. im glad that my little guys first experience with an animal clinic was a good one. thanks to the great staff at cleveland park!

Will not take bud back. Will not take bud are any animal there. When there for 11 years. The last three times I took hI'm ask not to do blood because did not hand money. They did it anyway. So am taking him to pleasbury aminall hospital. They are extra nice. I believe when you ask someone not to do something they should . Everything last 3 time dr. Hammel said need to do blood but never said any was wrong. Had a friend took his dog that was dying and they wanted to do blood work for a 100 dollars. Belive they are in it for money.

urprised and very disappointed. First time coming to Cleveland park in Greenville, and the first time for my puppy to be boarded. I chose this place based on the reviews and was drawn to the very nice facility. HOWEVER... when picking my puppy up from being boarded for 3 nights, she was covered in urine and smelled terrible. The worker said she didn't really smell/feel it on my puppy (not sure how you couldnt), and that they have new workers back there. Sorry, but I expect my puppy to be taken care of whether they are new or not. They did bathe her free of charge which was helpful, but made me wait an hour and a half. THEN, the girl that brought my puppy from the back helped me take my things to my car (very nice), told me that my puppy's toy was wet because she spilled water on it. Well, when I got home, I smelled the toy, and it was urine!! I would have much rather been told that my puppy had an accident than been lied to. I really am not one to post things like this but this vets office should be ashamed, especially when they claim to be one of the best in the upstate. We will go somewhere that will take good care of my puppy, and will not be going back here.
