This "Animal Hospital" has continually gone lower and lower in care since the takeover. But today is the last day we will ever be a client. We stayed because we had one pet listed here. We used to send all our pets here but slowly changed.. Our other pets go to Dr. Rosenberg and we cannot be happier. The friendliness and knowledge has gone downhill abruptly in the Turco establishment but we stayed due to commitment . But unfortunately I feel that the lack of professionalism, care and knowledge caused the death of our five year old havanese dog. Her death was very sudden and not expected for a dog five years old. Even though they were treating her for a wound they were cold and rude when I called to say she was vomiting heavy amounts of blood and thought she was dying and wanted to bring her a half hour early for an appt she was scheduled for at 9:30 and the girl gave me a hard time. ... After arriving there, the lack of professionalism made us decide to go to Ocean State Animal hospital where we were received professionally and Oreo was treated with dignity.

Dr. Amy was great and took her time with our Bunny Logan that has an eye infection. she gave us some very helpful information on how to care for him and modify his diet. with the medications she provided we can see definite improvements in just one day his eye is no longer sealing itself shut and he is starting to eat a bit more in my opinion Dr. Amy worked hard and cared for our rabbit as expected only thing is i wish it were i bit less expensive.

I called in for any emergency for my dog Harley. He was not a patient of theirs but because we were away from our vet for the weekend they were happy to see him. Friendly and professional I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Attentive staff, good service. They tend to be a bit too commercialized for me, and not the old, small town vet I like. Pretty expensive, but have fancy text and email appointment reminders and late hours.

Not happy with Services my dog was sick didn't do anything because they gave me an appointment at 3: 30 and they were closing at 4 was very disappointed uncaring vet dog had temp of 103. 8 yes they give fluids and pain medicine but said he needed x-rays Etc didn't do anything further cuz they were closing basically sent me home with a sick dog ended up in the emergency vet next day astronomical costs found a new vet diagnosed him and treated him right on the spot without knowing us

Just moved into the area and recently welcomed a new family member that needed neutering and a trusted vet. After my extensive research we decided to schedule with this office. We had an appointment the next following week. The folks there were welcoming and professional. They provided me answers to all of my concern pertaining the health of my pup. Btw it’s also clean. I would highly recommend.

I have to give them at least one star because they answer the phone and take credit cards. But...I will never ever step foot in a VCA hospital again. It is all corporate money making, and they make the owners feel guilty if they decide to not have their pets vaccinated for non essentials. The last time I went into have my pet examined all they wanted was to upcharge me. The Dr. and staff kept pushing me to give my 5 lb dog numerous vaccinations. I did extensive research on my breed before hand and discussed these particular vaccinations with his breeder and the vet from the breeder. They were very adamant about him NOT having these vaccinations. When I told them this, they were very rude to me. I just came from the vets looking for their signature on paperwork for a flight that I must take and will be taking my pet along with me. They refused to sign the paperwork unless I have my pet examined AGAIN by a different physician because the one that examined him last time no longer works there. Like I said.... money making corporate rules. His required shots are all up to date. But they won't sign the paperwork.... "just in case something happens". Well... you get what you put out. This is what happens. A very very bad review. Looking for a compassionate vet office. Any suggestions?

I am from out-of-state, petsitting in R.I., and brought along my own cat. Long story short, my cat became ill abruptly overnite. I called Turco Animal Hospital in the morning and the office manager said to bring him in. What a wonderful group of people!! My cat was examined, information captured, tests done and we were sent home with some meds and instructions. I am SO thankful for such a caring group!

I've been coming here for a decade for our cats. We've been through a variety of illnesses, behaviors and injuries and these vets have always exceeded my expectations. They are also open late on weeknights and have Saturday and Sunday hours! (Google says they are currently closed but I'm here now, in the waiting room. Funny.)
