Great staff and doctors. Staff texts you a follow up the next day to see if your pet is better. After I asked for an explanation of my dog's condition, the doctor emailed me an explanation and video link. You are in good hands with VCA and so are your fur babies!

This place try to juice you for ANYTHING they can. free exam yes but 165 for an x ray? not including other fees. My pup had a broken leg and they started telling me he needs this and that shot every month "listen lady I AM HERE FOR HIS LEG!" then they MADE me purchase a 4 day pain medication supply for 30.25 when he was not in pain. When a pup waggles his tail and licks he is NOT in pain only when he put weight on it he yelps. They charged my sister 150 for eye drops for her cocker spaniel come on people! go else where! these people WANT EVERY PENNY off you and money hungry they dont care about your pet they care whats in your wallet

The staff has ALWAYS been kind compassionate and informative.. our furkids over the years coco, roxanne, and now kaya and kane have been loved well treated and never judged based on breed. Reception friendly and always greet you by name as well as your dog. , Dr Rando, the "vet" there is a pushy , "do it my way," vet. They will drain you dry with unnecessary testing! I honestly think she's nuts. (My opinion.) Recommends everything for your dogs to drive up that bill and baits you with a free first visit. Bad experiences on a consistent basis with her not sitting back & listening..not a calm lady..felt very uncomfortable with her interactions with us, our dogs and her recommendations were so wrong as well as her different answers to same questions. She knows squat in our opinion. Something didn't feel right with her. Very poor quality doctor in our opinion and spoke to two others who left there through YELP app who felt same. Also extremely expensive loves to drive the bill up with recommending this that and the other. We left after just after a few months. There is no way this place received all these 5 stars. Put the real reviews first.

Excellent experience! Staff was very compaionate and kind during my pets emergency. You can tell every person that works there is there for the animals and their owners. Also the cost was very affordable, I thought it was going to be a lot more than it was. I even recieved a followup call the next day to see how my dog was doing and if I needed anything else. I would recommend this place to anyone that has an pet and looking for someplace to bring them.

I've been taking my dog here since he was a puppy, he is now 12 years old and in great health. I've always felt comfortable bringing him there for a number of things throughout the years along with his annual appointment. We recently got a new puppy and the staff has been so amazing, she had a ear infection and a parasite and they have been very supportive and knowledgeable. Their puppy plan for the first year is a great way to save money if you plan on getting them spade/neutered. Their hours are convenient and the staff is always super friendly! I definitely recommend them.

I saw Dr. Mahoney for my cat who has an ear issue. It was sort of an urgent situation. The entire staff from front desk to technicians were incredibly helpful and friendly. Dr. Mahoney is a superstar; compassionate, knowledgeable, informative, comprehensive, and savvy.They even allowed me to use a coupon to save some money and sent a follow up text to check on Clover. I also received an email going over everything we discussed, which is excellent because sometimes in the moment of worry you forget things. I feel very lucky to have found such a great facility so close to home. Thank you VCA and most especially Dr. Mahoney! Highly recommended.

I was using VCA for my vet for only a few months when I boarded Riley here. When I came to get him he smelled of urine and his collar was almost completely chewed off. I changed vets immediately and pulled all his records. The records from VCA support what I thought - he was left alone in a crate for over 36 hours because no one came to care for him on Sunday. He now has recurring UTI and severe separation anxiety. DONT BOARD HERE.

I have been coming here for a little over a year now with my chi and she is a nervous little girl but the staff doesn't mind her little dog syndrome kicking in, we adopted a pit bull recently and brought him here he is a loud rambunctious 98 pound boy, they don't ever get irritated with my babies and they still allow me to bring them in at the same time, they never make me feel embarrassed about them misbehaving a bit and they work with me because often i have to come alone with the 2. I will never bring my dogs anywhere else I have never been more satisfied in my whole life.

We have been using this animal hospital for at least 7+ years. I have had pets for over 50 years and have used many vets. I have boarded my dogs here and I have had one dog put to rest here. The staff are compassionate and friendly but most importantly, my dogs will go to them even with me in the room...that speaks volumes. When I had to put my baby girl to sleep, they were beyond caring and sympathetic. They created a truly therapeutic environment, gave us the time we needed, did little touches to make my girl comfortable. They even sent us the most beautiful card with her paw prints and pieces of her hair which I still have. I have had to bring two other dogs to be put to rest and never received the quality of care and treatment VCA provided. The vets explain every detail as well as the options available. As for the cost, I do not find them any more expensive than other vets and in some cases more reasonable. I spend a bit because I do the 6 month blood work for my senior dogs. They get regular check ups just like my husband and I have. Considering that much of animal medicine is based on human medicine, the cost is no where near what my physicians and hospital charge for many of the same procedures. Check out you medical bills...the ones you don't pay because your insurance pays. I highly recommend VCA and am thankful that I have them to turn to when my pups are hurting. Thank you for your exceptional service.

I have a monthly plan I pay for my senior dog that's 100% worth it if u go even 2 or 3 times in the year includes shots and annual check up for 65 per month

DONT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE. I told them my dogs were stolen and reported them stolen and they let the person who stole them bring them in for a year without contacting me and just made a new account for them. When I emailed them confronting them of the situation they ignored me. My dogs came home very overweight and bugs bites all over. They weren't on any monthly preventatives either so now I must wait and home their heartworm results come back negative. I am so glad to finally have my dogs home where they belong but I'm disgusted these disgusting "vets" allowed this to happen. Spare your family the pain and don't bring your dog here.

Was currently taking our cat to Oaklawn Animal Hospital for treatment of a mouth ulcer over the past 2 weeks. Initial visit for this new exam went fine. However, the Doctor (and owner!) of this facility was the absolute worst following the visit. Had many problems with our cat and the ulcer. Many calls to her, in which she called only to say she would have to check on something. Last 2 messages to her resulted in NO callbacks. This morning the ulcer was bleeding quite a lot. We called Atwood Animal Hospital, referred to us by a friend. They got us in right away this morning. The entire staff at Atwood was tremendously welcoming, professional and all were so very nice, and so very accommodating...the Best! Received all info about our cats ulcer, given new meds and she will be seen again in 2 weeks. My daughter and I felt so much better after this visit. Dr. Mahoney was wonderful, and her tech assistant as well. The girls at the desk were helpful, and so very nice and caring. Our cat, Jasmine now has a new vet! Would recommend this establishment to all those with pets!

I love everyone at VCA Atwood. We have taken our dog here since we adopted him almost 4 years ago, and now we recently began taking the orphaned kitten we rescued. The vet techs ALWAYS remember me, and my doggie, and they shower him with love. On top of the positive atmosphere every vet we have seen (with incredible emphasis on Dr. Z) always takes the time to explain things and relate to me, no matter what my question. I feel as though I am getting very good care, and from people who are all so wonderful. I can't recommend this team enough.

Did my own research and figured out could have saved close to $100 had i not bought some of the products they sold me for my dogs skin condition. I suggest if you visit them for your animal to do some research before purchasing products they say you need...

I tried coming here once a while back when I dog injested a tiny bit of mouse poison. They were extremely rude and unhelpful (and gave me wrong information). All I needed was a blood test - not some psycho yelling at me to bring my perfectly ok dog to the emergency vet. I figured I would try again, and called asking for help for flea treatment and received an attitude again. Likely the same woman. I don’t use this vet because I have a friendly one that uses medical research to base treatments from, versus emotional opinion. Hope this place goes out of business. There are way better places to have your animals cared for. *Bonus attitude if you own a bully breed*. Kick rocks.

Called today to get my two dogs their shots that they need. Was told that they had not been seen for an exam since 2017!!!!! I guess they think that I did not keep all the receipts. My oldest dog just got his rabies booster on 4/22 of this year, with a "doctor guided exam". When I asked to get an appointment, I was told that both dogs needed an exam. I told the woman that they had an exam at Paws where they were boarded in late June to July. She stated that they cannot use another vets examination. If I were told by my physician that he/she had to do a totally new exam on me because they could not use another physician's exam I would flip, and that is exactly what I did with this really ignorant approach to taking care of my dogs. I was charged 119.45 for one dog no exam needed for a rabies vaccine. On 6/14/18 my oldest dog had an exam and vaccines, another 145.78. I keep giving them the fecal testing that I had already done at vetco and they continue to insist that they are overdue for their fecal tests. They recently had fecal testing done at Paws for boarding and they refuse to get these records. Every time that I go there it is all about money. No interest in my dogs well being just all about money. Well I am done with them, I wish there was an organization that would monitor and keep track of these vet clinics that only have deep hands in your pockets. I am a disabled vet with a modest income, cannot afford to spend 200 a dog each time I go in. I told the woman on the phone what she could do.... if you get my drift.
