I feel like my dogs get the best care when they go here. That being said the last time I was there I felt like all they were trying to do was push extra stuff on me and made me feel like I was a bad owner. They care about your animals but they are definitely there to make money as well and will recommend and try to get you to do as much as possible

We took our 6 month old Labrador in because he was throwing up bile, not drinking water or eating. They did an X-ray and $237 later said we should take him to Ocean State Veterinary Specialist. I had also called Mt. Hope animal hospital, they were booked and suggested that we take him to Ocean State Veterinary Specialist based on the symptoms that I was describing. I explained the same symptoms to Sakonnet Veterinary hospital. I took a chance with Sakonnet Vet and am very disappointed and frustrated.

When the Dr.didn't know what was wrong with my little dog she guessed at what it was. It was a mistake. She tried to bully me into taking my dog way out of town to have an mri (cost $2000 - $2500) not counting the over night stay and meds. All from a guess.

Had to wait longer than I felt necessary for an appointment. 45 minutes and it wasn't busy. Aside from that they were very thorough, friendly, courteous, and caring. Reasonable pricing.

Outstanding in every way. We requested an appointment for our first visit on-line on Wednesday, and it was scheduled within an hour for that Saturday. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff were friendly, accommodating, and reassuring. They were wonderful with our dog, who can be high energy and a bit nervous around strangers and other animals. They answered all of our questions and scheduled our next appointment. The facility was clean and professional, too. We were very satisfied. A keeper!

The second that Mr. Furley puts his paws on the front desk upon arrival, he's greeted with a kindness & a treat! The gals at the front desk always take the time to interact & make a connection with us. Dr. Elyse Olechnowicz is amazing! I have worked with all the the vets here, but she is certainly Furley's favorite! They techs are all very talented & professional. I'm so glad we found SVH.

Dr. O at Sakonnet did an excellent job of dental surgery on my Papillon Figaro. He's nine years old, so they did the blood work and pretesting that's needed for an older dog. She listened to my concerns about pulling too many teeth and managed to save his canines. Much appreciated! Now for my part of the job: a renewed effort at daily cleaning of Figs' teeth, as much as humanly possible! My only complaint? The high cost of teeth-cleaning for dogs! Maybe Sakonnet could set up bi-annual, low-cost clinics to interrupt the plaque build-up before it's a major surgical cost.

Friendly, Thorough, Spotless! We have had our dogs at Sakonnet Vet for years. From the time you call the front desk, the quality of service is outstanding! They take there time and are very thorough with exams. I have always been given an appointment in a timely manner and have never have felt rushed during a visit. A major plus is the cleanliness! Sakonnet is spotless!

After doing hours of research for the best vet in the area, I found Sakonnet and we are so glad we found them! We have seen most of the DVMs in the facility and all of them know our cat by name by memory. That's how much care is given to our cat every time we walk into the door. Our cat is known to be a pain when she goes to the vet but all of the staff treat her with compassion and care. I would highly recommend them!

Have brought all of my dogs here which would make me a +30 year customer. Never did they give up on my first two dogs when they were ill and aged, always working with us to make our pets as comfortable and well-cared for as possible. Dr. Reinhardt is a blessing to the facility with her professionalism and knowledgeable skill.

Kind and efficient practice. Lots of doctors so you can be selective or not based on your preference and schedule. They do get busy so there can be a wait occasionally.

I had to put my dog down and my regular vet cancled my appointment due to weather. Sakonnet got me in the same day and accommodated my needs. They where very empathetic and made the most difficult moment of my life that much easier. I could not thank them enough. Their entire staff had great bedside manner. Honestly I'm glad I found them, I'm glad they where so accommodating, and I'm glad I went there instead of my normal vet.

Each and every time I bring my dogs here for the basics up to and including the more urgent care we are treated great. My dogs receive excellent care, starting with the phone call, then the reception, the techs, and the Vets.. We drive a little further, however they are worth it.. Thank You!
