Love this place I take my cat and 3 dogs there it's amazing they are very good and affordable. My daughters cat had to get put down at VCA Animal hospital cuz we didn't have $2,500 for a surgery she had pyometria she just turned 5 then 2 years later our 3 year old shitzhu Lhasa apso mix got pyometria and needed same surgery and it was immediate surgery after the Cranston vet needed like $2,000 we thought we losing her til the vet told me about PETS IN NEED WHICH just opened 3 was prior. So it literally cost me $360 at Cranston animal hospital then cuz they wanted too much for surgery so pets in Need. Only charged like $130 for everything including 3 meds it was so wonderful the dr.'s , the technicians they are great. I recommend this place to anyone who qualifies they really are lifesavers!

The vets are great. My poor cat was almost bald from scratching and licking, due to fleas, which he is highly allergic to. They shaved his hair and took care of his flea problem and gave him an antibiotic, and the cone of shame. Now that he's healthy I can go for his neutering. I would recommend these veterinarians to any low income family.

Awful place! Do not bring your pet here! Horrible unprofessional staff! I brought my dog there two weeks ago hoping to improve his quality of life, he got surgery to remove cyst, and proper procedures of biopsy were not done to determine if he had cancer or not, i took my dog that day home without then properly placing a gauze on him, at night he bled out and took him to ocean state vet, the vet that did the surgery was very pushy to see him the next day, and i told her it was not a good idea because the car ride could affect him, she insisted! Her name is DR elias, then when i got there i asked a tech to come out and help me bring him out of the car, and warned her to use a muzzle because he was in pain, she said she knew what she was doing, next thing i see my dog bit her, she did not handle the situation well and she pushed my dog into the car seat, and he started bleeding as she walked away swearing. It took dr Elias and her staff 1 hour to treat my dog as he was bleeding. On sunday i took him to ocean state again because he did not stop bleeding. Today my dog died due to a malpractice and unprofessionalism of this place. Stay away from here!!!! Do not donate money to have other animals be killed! I hope she sleeps well at night knowing she killed my best friend! And had the audacity to ignore my messages when i was dealing with him not doing okay!

I had a really sick cat that I needed to bring in. He had seen a vet previously but he was unsure what was wrong with him. He had a rapid decline an was unable to eat, drink or use the box. He began crying and I was scrambling around to find a vet. I had gone to pets in need but went to Kentucky for close to two years. I explained he was in a lot of pain. They said since he was gone for two years he was no longer considered to be a patient and they we're not taking new patients. I pleaded with them it only takes a few minutes to euthanize. they had absolutely no empathy no compassion no nothing I had worked in several animal hospitals and that is something we never ever would have done is turn away an animal that's in pain. They should be ashamed of themselves I hope that place closes down . they need to get some people in there that actually care about animals people with compassion people that love animals not those people..

We bring All our dogs here for shots and checkups and nail clippings.The staff from front desk to the surgeon have EXCELLENT customer service...

I took my Chihuahua Becky here for her shots and nails clipped the staff all were very friendly, then when I left and took Becky home she had a reaction to the shots mild fever no appetite wouldn't drink her water so I called the vet here and they called right back when they opened and asked about Becky ,well Becky is still a little sleepy but got up and ate some chicken I boiled for her and I wet it a little so she can get a little water in her system she is starting to play now and run around I can't say enough good things about this place they really love and care about you and your pets I was awake all night with Becky watching her it was like when my kids were I'll but thank God she's ok now

Staff is so caring and considerate when you are scared that your fluffy best friend is sick. I was extremely satisfied with the level of compassion these people have...they truly love animals. My poor kitty Daryl wasnt feeling so good and i cant afford expensive vet bills. They helped me out tremendously with everything. Daryl seems to be doing much better thanks to the people at Pets in Need veterinary. (even though he was hiding under the chair in the exam room)

You MUST PROVE your validity of assistance in RI. BUT their care and staff is bar none. I am so glad a place like this exists. They saved my dogs life. Their vets, techs and even the girls doing dbl duty at the front desk and teaching are simply amazing. I always give to them when money isn't a burden because they've done the same for me. I took my cat Jewelia to Pets in Need when I was referred for low cost vet care. The staff was very caring and compassionate when I brought Jewelia in I was so worried about her I was close to tears. I had called and they got me right in for an appointment. Dr Samantha Schenck examined her and and was very gentle and friendly. She suggested blood work and x-rays. With my funds being limited the Dr and the staff showed gave me a list of foundation that assist with funds to help low income individuals get vet care. I was able to get funds from 3 wonderful organizations and get the testing she needed. The tests were done and the Dr Sam even consulted a Vet Radiologist to make sure she didn't miss anything. It seemed it was crystals in the bladder she believed I gave her pain meds for a week and now she is back to her playful happy self thanks to the wonderfully exceptional staff at Pets in Need....

Kind, caring staff.. My kitten needed his eye removed which the charge was beyond resonable... They did an amazing job and they were able to get my Onyx in right away.. I highly recommend this facility to anyone.. I will continue to use them as my vet for always!! Thank you so much!! Onyx's eye has healed beautifully and he is a normal, playful kitten... I dont know what I would of done without them !!!

No accountability I had No complaints in past and was very satisfied, but something has changed.. Will continue to bring my diabetic cat there for tx, have no problem with vets care. I had to put my Borzoi to sleep yesterday and the staff here were amazing! I knew the reason I was there and started crying as soon as I walked in to the building. During my time of need to help my baby boy Smokey they were the kind ,sweet and caring people I need for him to be with . Even thought he passed away after the surgery the staff ( Angel ) was so concerned about how I was doing and called to make sure I was alright . The pain is still strong but I will always be greatful to all that helped him . Cat broke her leg and the estimated price to amputate was over $1,000 pets in need help me save my cat's life for almost half the price. So grateful for them because the only other option I could afford was putting her down and I'm so grateful that she gets to live the rest of her life with us.

My saving grace. They provide regular veterinary care at very, very discounted rates. Like they even open the boxes of packaged meds so you can buy single ones. All of my cat's vaccinations were under $10 each. The vets are so nice, they're actually honest about what your pet really needs, unlike past vets I've had, who were always pushing new vaccinations and preventive services. It's so nice not having to defend myself against a salesperson while trying to make important decisions. You will need to provide proof of (lack of) income, like an acceptance letter from Medicaid or SNAP. Cons: Surprise, they have limited availability, and can be a little hard to get a hold of. They still offered me a next day appt when I said it was urgent.

We brought our 2 Havanese there, 1 needed medical attention, the other needed shots. The pup who needed medical attention (Duke) needed to be put down. They were very professional, compassionate and understanding and gave us the option to take him home or have him cremated. They did a beautiful with the cremation and we got a number of things in his memory for a VERY inexpensive price. The only problem we had was the ashes took longer to come back than they had originally said. We will bring Luke back when it comes time for his shots again. They were professional, courteous and attentive. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a need for inexpensive pet care.

My Appointment Was On 2/17/2017. I Made This Appointment Three Weeks Prior For Three Of My Little Guys (Dogs). One Being My Service Dog. They Provided Me With Prices Which Were For Phsycial Exams, Rabies And Other Remaining Vaccine Cost. I Called Them Twice After To Confirm My Appointment And Verify The Cost. I Was Stuck In Traffic On 95 On My Way To My Appointment And As A Courtesy/Respect I Called And Told Them I Was On My Way And I Would Be 5 Minutes Late. The Receptionist Did Not Say Anything And Hung Up On Me. I Thought That Was A Little Strange But Continued To The Appointment. When I Arrived No One Was In The Waiting Room. The Chairs Were Completely Covered In Dog Fur. Not The Cleanest Place. So I Approached The Receptionist Desk And Told Them I Had And Appointment. No Smile, No How Are. Absolutely No Personality What So Ever. She Said Your Here With (Dogs Name). And I Said Yes But I Have Three Total. Well That's Not What We Have. I Told Her I Called And Made The Appointment For Three Dogs. I Continued To Fill Out The Paper Work And Another Girl Sate Down. Not Even A Word Out Of Her. Handed Her The Paperwork And She Looked At Me And Said You Owe $$$$. I Stepped Back And Said What??? That Is Not The Prices You Provided Me On The Phone. She Said Well The Prices Changed Last June. But I Called Three Weeks Ago And That Is What Prices Were Given To Me. She Started To Yell At Me And Said The Prices Changed Last June And That Is What You Owe. And Of Course I Feel Threatened. And I Started To Get Furious And Told Her How Could You Disrespect A Customer Like This. A Tech Came Out From The Back And Got In My Face And Told Me To Get Out. I Have Never In My Life Been To A Business That Has Been So Unprofessional And Distrustful. I Just Wanted To Take This Time To Give You My Opinion About My Experience I Had With This Place.
