I moved here in March with my 18 year old cat. A week before thanksgiving sadly she passed at home. I was so very devastated but knew she has had a good long life. I wasn't sure how to handle her remains but I knew I wanted her cremated since I couldn't lay her to rest back home with our other 2 beloved family pets who had passed. I called them and came in and I felt like I was treated so very well like part of the family. The gave me a few moments alone in a room to say my final goodbye. I felt like even though I was never a client there I was treated like one. About a week later I got a sorry for your loss card in the mail and inside was a paper that had my cat's paw print on it that meant so much to me.

We love this place. We have a whole clowder of cats and have experienced them having chronic constipation, IBS, hepatic lipodosis, and more. We have been to other vets in the area and even Ocean State and we are the most comfortable taking our kitties here. We trust all of the techs and the vets. Everyone is caring, knowledgable, and genuine. We first came here because they were in the newspaper as being "cat whisperers" and they truly are.

Over the past 26yrs we have had two dogs which were cared for by NRIAH. All staff and Vets are great and very caring. We recently had to euthanize our second dog, it was like being with family. Shout out to David.

Stay far far away from this so called animal hospital! I brought my dog in for a limp on her legs she was diagnosed with Lyme's disease! The Doctor never examined her....They didn't even take her temperature..... and never gave me a follow-up call to see how she was doing !!!!! All they gave me was 28 days of antibiotics and shove me out the door! I called today and asked what to do next regarding follow up for my dogs pain from Lyme disease, Receptionist told me to stop by and speak to someone, when I got there I was treated like a street bum.. I said my dog is in pain and is now limping on her legs due to the lyme disease and can you do anything for her? I asked her could you please give her an anti-inflammatory for her pain? Her answer was no we can't give your dog anything unless you bring her back next week for another exam! I asked them why they never gave a follow-up call never took her temperature! Their excuse was they see too many animals diagnosed with Lyme's disease and they don't have time to follow up on the cases.... this is unheard of this place should be put out of business. Do yourself a favor and drive the distance to go to a real veterinarian in a real animal hospital,this place will do nothing for you except take your money!

Since we got a puppy this was supposed to be our first vet but due to typical confusion my wife scheduled us with North Smithfield Animal Hospital. I thought they were nice too but my wife then proceeds to switch to Hope Vet in Scituate. I didn't like it. Very laid back attitude for issues that could be addressed. Finally we start going here and I do like our new vet. He returns our calls, spends a lot of time explaining issues, causes, treatments, etc. Invaluable information and attitude toward first time dog owners. Highly recommend it.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband I very sadly had to bring our Siberian Husky there last week because his limp was getting much worse to the point where he woke up one day and couldn't walk. We were initially told by another animal hospital that they suspected it was arthritis. We had never been to Northern Rhode Island Animal Hospital before but we do have friends that bring their animals there, so we went. We met Dr. Jeff Logan and his tech, Andrea who gave us terrifying news about our beloved pup. Not only were Dr Jeff and Andrea fabulous, and extremely loving and caring to our pup, so was every single staff member there. I have never been so welcomed and felt so comfortable about the care that my pets were receiving than I did here. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the amazing staff NRI Animal Hospital. It really speaks volumes. The kind, loving nature of every doctor, every technician, and front desk staff was absolutely exceptional! Thank you all so so much-You really and truly made a mark on us, we will be returning.

These folks truly love all the little critters that have to come see them. And oddly enough even my anti-social critters like them too. Our cat, aptly named tweek, seemed to trust them as much as he trusts my wife and I. And he doesn't trust ANYBODY! Pricing is reasonable too. As reasonable as a vet can get anyway. Bottom line is that the docs and techs treated both my cats as if they were their own.

The care provided by the doctors, technicians and front office staff are by far the best I have ever experienced. Dr. Andrea Ster sets the bar high for what a vet should be. Her love and compassion for both the animals and their owners exceeds anything I have ever experienced in veterinary care. We had an Akita with multiple issues and I truly believe with her assistance he lived much longer than anyone had ever expected he would. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else!

Only issue was that the directions on my cat's medication was mislabled and instructed me to give twice as much as needed. It was pointed out and corrected but pet owners should be vigilant in case.

It was a Saturday afternoon, so we had a long wait, as there was only one vet on duty. Jessica was just (if not more) concerned over our dog's ailment. We been through this before, just not this severe - with his sensitive upset stomach. Our dog did not do well with a 1500 mile move, plus he may no longer be able to tolerate the food he had been on most of his life. Jessica was thorough, requested the detailed information from the emergency vet we went to a week prior. Preston is doing better, and is back to his old self.

Very Very compassionate and professional Dr Andrea took care of our PUG for sixteen years ten months and thank you to David the technician who was always happy to see her and Dr. Logan and the entire staff at northern Rhode Island animal hospital they were are great they were respectful and compassionate right up to her last day age and and and devastating condition called DM CAUGHT UP TO HER! an we had to make that decision todo the humane thing and end her life .she could no longer walk the staff at northern RI made it easier for my wife and i to say goodbye to our beloved FUJI.THANK YOU ALL!!

The doctors and staff here are absolutely amazing. We went swimming with my dog in the pool During the afternoon. When we all get out of the pool she was kind of lethargic we figured it was just because she was tired. Then she began vomiting everywhere. Are normal vet was closed for the day already and they were open Late. When we 1st call them they wanna tell schedule an appointment for later in the evening but once we told him to condition our dog was in they allowed us to bring her in immediately. When we brought it to the vet she did Start to feel better so we were at 1st kind of embarrassed because she would not get up would not walk but when we showed up that the door she was walking in the door tail wagging. They had a spell out some paperwork and then they took her in right away to be seen by the doctor. He asked a some questions to confirm that it was water intoxication because she drank too much water. They took some blood work just to make sure that everything was normal with her then they gave her some medication to help with her nausea. They completely made us feel comfortable during the entire process. I wish I knew some of their Names. They truly made us feel like we or regular clients of the veterinary office. Myself and my entire family are very thankful that they were open as late as they were an extremely accommodating. They were actually very busy So they really were able to take their time with each client and each animal with individual care. Although we will still use our normal vet I extremely recommend This office to anyone looking for a new vet or if they have an emergency in ever need to take their for baby to be seen immediately because their normal vet is closed this is a great place to go

Never tell you the right thing that's wrong with your dog and I think they do that just so they can keep having you come back and spend money way too expensive if you can take your dog somewhere else take your dog or your animal somewhere else do not take it here

Dr Jeff is a great vet. He and his staff always provide our pets with the care and attention they need. Sometimes there's a wait if they have emergencies or run long with other patients, but that comes with the territory (and I know they won't cut short their time with my pets). The staff is very friendly and helpful.
