We were traveling and our little dog had a health problem. The visit to Cranston Animal Hospital was an experience. No words can describe how happy we were choosing them. Excellent service, very good professionals and at an affordable price. Dr. Courtney Rebensdorf took care of our dog professionally. We live in NY and we aren't used to have service like this. I strongly recommend Cranston Animal Hospital! Thank you, Dr. Courtney and Staff for all you did to my Dog.

They let my girl (Penny cat) walk around the room and inspect her surroundings. She felt really comfortable and so did we. Courtney was our Dr and she was lovely, checked all our concerns, even if it was silly. We feel like Penny will get the best care here!

Doctor Courtney and her team are deserving of great praise - for their dedication to BEST care including quick action in the face of emergency animal distress. I will spare readers "the details" but suffice it to say that annual visits, impromptu concerns and handling of emergencies really does set the bar. Brought my cat here for years, when Dr Courtney took over the practice it grew to be an even better place to bring my beloved cat. The ladies who answer the phone and greet customers are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. They were the only local place who would clip my cats nails due to his cranky personality. Visited Cranston Animal Hospital as a new patient this week and, regrettably, will not return. My senior dog does not do well at vets, he is very nervous and feisty, and he made the appointment difficult for the vets to properly exam him. I put a muzzle on him and I think the tech did a great job holding him down and she was very sweet with him. (Thank you!) However, it appeared to me that the doctor did not have much experience with a feisty dog. Understandably, I too would retreat if a dog was trying to nip at me, but I am not a trained animal professional. She recommended sedating my 13 year old dog in order to do a proper exam, after visiting a different practice today, I now know that sedation should never have been an option or a recommendation. As I said, my dog was not cooperating but the vet’s assessment (without a proper examination) was severe and nerve-wracking. I left the hospital in tears and with more questions than when I arrived. I was not going to write a review, as I know how difficult my dog can be at the vet but after visiting another animal practice today, I know Cranston Animal Hospital was not well-equipped to see my dog.

Disregard all reviews prior to April of 2014, this practice has been taken over by Dr Courtney Rebensdorf as a an additional location to her Oaklawn Animal Hospital. I have been taking my two dogs, two cats and snake to Oaklawn Animal Hospital for years and have the highest regard for Dr Rebensdorf and her staff. Both of my dogs are rescues and one in particular was an abuse victim and is extremely nervous, so I am very careful in her care, Dr Rebensdorf takes penty of time with her and is extremely patient as she is not the easiest patient. I have just returned from my first visit to Cranston Animal Hospital and was very happy to see Dr Rebensdorf there along with some new and some familiar familiar faces. Great Vet!!

This is the best vet I have ever had. So kind and friendly, we had to put our 14 year dog Bowne this week and I have never felt so sad but they really help our family with our loss. We are planning on getting other puppy asap and will be using them for our pets needs.
