I’m a new cat owner and recently moved to Providence. City Kitty was WONDERFUL in easing all my concerns at the vet and making sure that my fur baby was happy and healthy! They were so calm, gentle, and patient, and really took the time to understand my cat. By the end, the vet tech was showing me pictures of her own cats! It was so nice to be in a cat-centered vet and to have my cat so comfortable during his exam. 10/10 would recommend!!

Really pleased with my experience for my kitten's first appointment. Everyone was super kind, attentive and professional. I felt confident in the expertise & service I received, as well as really appreciated the call the following day to check up on my kitten and her reaction to the vaccines. Both vets and techs are excellent. Thorough in exams; gentle and reassuring with the kitties. My cats get good care and are treated like they are the only patient for the day (how often do you get that in a doctor's office?). While being examined my cats have been stroked and even occasionally kissed on the head. In other words, top notch medical care and lots of love.

We had an emergency...our JellyBeans was in labor and had the last kitten stuck half way after pushing for more than an hour. We called and they accommodated us right away. The staff was great. The staff is friendly and makes you feel comfortable. My 13 yr old cat went in for weight loss and the vet kept me up to date on what tests they were taking. And she stayed in my budget that I had. Next week I will be getting her meds and we will see what happens from there, I can say I will bring all my cats here from now on. After trying everything we could, sadly my kitty passed away on June 16, 2018. The Doctor sent me a hand written sympathy card. I highly recommend City Kitty. I have two more cats and I have every intention of bringing them here for their checkups.

The atmosphere is warm and artistic and the staff are great.They lovingly cared for my elderly cat through two long illnesses, including getting him in an experimental clinical trial that not only helped extend his life, but also will help cats in future, when the drug in approved. The most knowledgable and thorough doctors and staff. I have been coming here for over ten years and they are consistent in everything from common check-ups to a more challenging diagnosis. Everyone here is extremely compassionate and call to check in after treatments or during recovery. If you have a cat, why would you not go to a cat expert? Oh, and the best part is you get to visit Tony (the fuzzy employee with a tail). I would never go anywhere else. The best!

City Kitty is Da Bomb! These folks are so wonderful - they LOVE cats and know how to take terrific care of them. I have been bringing our cats there for almost 20 years; I love the small exam rooms and that there is only feline energy in the office. No cat loves the vet however mine feel comfortable and I know they are getting the best care available. The office is welcoming, very clean and fun. Dr. Lund, Dr. Mercurio, Lance, Kathleen and the rest of the talented staff are always ready to make our cats (and us) feel well loved! THANK YOU!!!!

Just got back from this place and I HAD to write a review ! AMAZING service from the beginning until the end. They were super nice and informative , they were very gentle with my cat :) and he was not at all upset by what they were doing with him. Great invironment, although they were busy I didn't wait any longer than maybe 20 minutes !!! I highly recommend this vet and the workers. All of them were happy to help me and I was relieved to know that my cat was healthy :) !

I have been bringing my cats to City Kitty since two months after they opened in 1999. Everyone is so caring, so qualified . They love cats so much, are very gentle. No smell whatsoever, no barking dogs, extremely clean. Not pushy at all. Prices are comparable to other high quality vets. Truly would never go anywhere..tried once only because place was closer to my house but walked out after 10 minutes because my older kitty was freaked out due to barking dogs in waiting room.

When I inherited my parents' cats, I wasn't sure what I could do for Hobbes. He had breathing problems for years and had been cared for two or three vets without any success. We had taken to calling him Sneezy. I brought him to City Kitty and they were wonderful with him. They tried a variety of medications and diet changes that improved his life for a few years before even steroids only had a effect for a few days. I wish everyone could have such care.

I've been bringing my two cats to City Kitty since 2010. The veterinarians and staff are wonderful: friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Their professionalism combined with a laid-back atmosphere puts my cats at ease. One of my cats was spayed at City Kitty and everything went perfectly. Otherwise they have been brought in for routine checkups and vaccinations. I know they are on the more expensive end of the scale, but still I find their pricing is reasonable and I never feel like my wallet has been gouged. They are worth every penny!

This is the most amazing place I have ever taken my girls. I drive over an hour to bring them here because I moved since I first found them. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and are all cat lovers. It is evident in their care of my girls. They are really good with a "slightly" over worried cat mom, and are always willing to take the time to answer questions I have. I never feel rushed out the door. I always recommend City Kitty to anyone I know who has cats! I hope I never have to go to another vet again.

They are always so nice here. There are also two cats that walk around and are very nice. If your cat is on the aggressive side they definitely have a gas that they can give your cat to put him to sleep while they do check ups.

I hadn't taken my two indoor cats to a vet in quite some time. Although they were healthy, they were overdue for a checkup. They also had some issues with matted fur. I felt terrible! The people at City Kitty were polite, helpful, and efficient. There was no guilt trip involved. My kitties are now up to date on vaccines, have a clean bill of health, and look adorable. We're working on a grooming routine to prevent future issues, but I know that I have a wonderful place to take them if we have any trouble. I have already recommended them to a friend.

Great vet service. We just moved here and did not know any buddy to ask for references for veterinarians. Luckily citikitty is next to our son school and I found it when I was driving by. The staff are super helpful and very efficient. The office is so clean and well-organized it's comfy and easy to hang out in while waiting for your kitty. $72 ripoff/disappointment 3 weeks ago a beautiful, friendly and hungry cat showed up on our porch and took up residence in our garage. We fed her and took her inside during the 2 degree weather, but we wanted to have her checked out so enter City Kitty. It took us 3 weeks to get an appointment, which we accepted, and took the stray cat into City Kitty. They took the cat into the exam room to check her out only to discover this cat had already been spayed and had an ID chip. They contacted the owner who immediately came to retrieve their cat. We were happy to reunite the cat with its rightful family - all good, but then we were hit by City Kitty with a $72 bill for 'services'. They didn't ask the family, who were the rightful owners to pay it, but insisted that we pay it. $72 for basically nothing. WATCH YOUR WALLET WHEN YOU DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!

In the 16 years I had our cat Jack, we lived in two countries, 4 different cities and 10 different homes. Jack was a healthy kitty, but nonetheless visited at 5 different veterinarians over the years for checkups and the usual. City Kitty was by far the best. The atmosphere of the place, the kindness and generosity of the staff and Doctors, their expertise and dedication to Jack were unsurpassed. I would highly recommend City Kitty to any cat owner. When it Jack was very ill, the Doctors answered our daily phone calls and gave us advice, support and love through the process. I truly believe this was the best place for Jack to be in his final weeks in this dimension, we are grateful to City Kitty for the love, support and empathy they showed us in our time of grief and loss. Both my husband and I spoke regularly to our friends and family about how helpful and thoughtful City Kitty was for us in that difficult time.

My service was decent. I have an older cat on a prescription diet, and they cut her diet down as to not irritate her stomach, despite the fact that she has been doing totally fine on what she was already getting. Also if you are a fan of Chewy or Petco orders, they will not fill a prescription through them. You have to go get the paper prescription from them, at that point you might as well just buy whatever you need straight through the office.

Cats Only!...this is a great idea. These are thoughtful, caring people working in a calm, sort-of-quirky space. For me, taking my little buddy here is an EASY experience; it is in town (the shorter the trip in the carrier, the better), they seem pretty flexible in scheduling, and best of all, there isn’t the commotion from dogs. I love dogs, but at my last vet there would always be a few pups in the waiting room exasperating what is already a stressful situation. This, and the fact your kitty is trapped in a carrier and in a strange place around strange people and likely ill to boot can make many cats feel unsafe. Basically, night and day. There are few reviews criticizing the pricing of this vet. This hasn’t been my experience. Going to the doc is expensive whether you are a person or a cat. Cost-wise, I would say City Kitty is roughly on par with other vets. I've been to 3 in the area. I'm sorry, but I see NO WAY that this vet is 2-3 times the cost of going to one of their competitors.

City Kitty has been taking care of our cats for about 20 years. They've helped us with new kittens and with dear old buddies, always with good and loving care. The doctors provide excellent medical care and the entire support staff are friendly and helpful and treat us and our pets like family. We find that having the practice limited to cats definitely makes a visit less traumatizing for our cats than a general practice that has the noise and smell of dogs.

This is the only vet I have taken my cats to that willingly itemizes all the expenses before anything is done and doesn't act all coy about it. They also will work with a person re breaking up payments. Yes, they are more expensive, but I have to say that their techs and the vets themselves seem very knowledgeable and gladly explain things to me. They also are not set in their ways in terms of treatments. I've had cats for decades, and this is the best vet clinic I've found.

City Kitty has been one of the best veterinary clinics I have ever needed to use. My almost 6 year old black cat one day about a month back started peeing blood and my husband and I were not sure what to do. After calling them on Friday afternoon they set us up with an emergency appointment. They staff there was so kind and helpful. The appointment went well and I was given very clear instructions on how my husband and I should monitor her care. Another thing I want to talk about is the bill. I know that this may seem strange but hear me out, I have never seen such a clearly stated itemized bill before. Everything that was done, from medications to cost of different tests, was clearly stated. If I had any questions about anything it was explained. I don't get that sort of clarity on my own medical bills. If we ever need more medical treatments for our I know we will be returning here in the future.

Brought my cat Kitty to City Kitty a month ago because no other vet could figure out what was wrong with him. They were honestly the sweetest people and truly helped us get an answer. They were so thorough in trying to help us. They referred us to Ocean State to see a specialist and when they got the report there was nothing left to do they even called to check in to see how I was doing. I only met them twice but I would refer them or go back in a heart beat.

First, I never post reviews unless there is something exceptional that occurs. My cats had an appointment for their annual exam. Before those appointments, One of them got into a cat fight. I called City Kitty and they adjusted their schedules to see my cats that day. They were so gentle with my cat who had been in a fight. They made me feel like he was in good hands and ensured he would not be in pain. You can tell they are all people who love cats, but they also are good with people. I trust that they are doing what is right for my cats and charging me what's appropriate. I would recommend them to anyone....even if you have to drive by four other more conveniently located vets to get there. It is worth it!!!!

We have been taking our cat to City Kitty for over a year now and we are very happy. They diagnosed and well managed chronic problems that no previous vets paid attention to, such as asthma. Our cat had extensive dental work done and other check-ups. All excellent

Excellent veterinary office. If you have a cat and live any reasonable distance, go here, it's the best thing for your companion's wellbeing. They actually care about (and are knowledgeable about) cats; you won't be rushed through for the sake of time or money or whatever else, and you will be scolded if you're not doing right by your cat. If honesty is the best policy, the staff of City Kitty have it in spades. They're right in line, if not slightly more expensive price-wise, for a level of care, knowledge, and compassion that you will not find elsewhere. If you have one cat or even many, many kitties, cancel those other vet appointments and bring them to City Kitty. Your cat(s) will appreciate it.

Very personalized and warm care. My cat loved them -- she actually would purr the whole time she was there! When she passed, they sent a personal and sweet sympathy card. Everyone seems to genuinely care about all the cats that come through. Oh, and free parking in the lot across the street.

Always very helpful and polite staff. The vets there are amazing ,wonderful and informative. They have saved my kitty from a couple UTI emergencies and their recommendation to switch food now means my kitty no longer gets once a year UTIs. The app lets me order food and schedule appts in a very convinient way. My kitties also greatly appreciate the cat only environment as they kinda freak out around big/loud barking doggies.

They are also more in tune with my capabilities of taking care of Max, and helped me understand a lot.. I have found a new Vet for sure. I only wish they saw dogs too... The day I called they did not even have an available appointment, but squeezed him in once they heard how sick he was. They truly saved him that day!! They truly care for the cats.. About 6+ years ago, I was working in Providence, and we realized there was a cat stuck in our drop-ceiling, who had gotten in during construction and couldn't get back out. We lured him out, and I took him to City Kitty for a checkup and shots, then adopted the cat. I named him Lionel. Two weeks ago, after battling with stomach cancer for two months, Lionel had to be put down. He was my best friend, was always there every morning when I woke up, and always ran to greet me when I came home. City Kitty, their vets and staff took care of Lionel his entire life, from yearly checkups and rabies shots, to a medical emergency a few years back. While they may not be the cheapest option for pet care, they are the only ones I trusted Lionel with, and still trust my cat Leo with. They let me hold Lionel after they administered the drugs to put him under, and then stay with my cat holding his paw while they administered the euthanasia drug. They treated him with kindness, reverence, and many of the employees even shared their own losses with me in my time of grief. I opted to get my cat cremated and receive his ashes. Two days ago, I received a card from City Kitty's staff. Two wonderful, handwritten messages from the staff at city kitty expressed their condolences for my loss, reassured me I did all I could, and conveyed their deepest sympathies. If you have a cat, take them to City Kitty for the care they need and deserve. When I first brought Lionel to them, I was just out of college and didn't have much money. They let me pay monthly instead of turning me away when I informed them I had to know how much the shots and care was going to cost for my newly rescued best friend. Animal lovers can tell each other apart, and every member of the City Kitty family are pet lovers through and through, of both their own pets, and yours.

Love this place. I needed to bring my cat back to my country, and they help me a great deal. They explain everything in details for me and are happy to help. After a while, I moved to New Jersey for a one year working contract, and I found out that they need to change some information on the documents. Since I’m in New Jersey, it’s pretty inconvenient for me to go back to Rhode Island. They actually mail all the documents I need to my place, Twice! Very good customer service. If you need to travel with your pet internationally, this is the place.

I first went to City Kitty in 2005 based on a recommendation and have been a loyal client. They have cared for three of my cats. The staff is friendly and caring, and I feel like their favorite kitty owner when I have to visit (for annual check ups or an emergency). Dr. Lund always comes into the room with a big smile and great energy. She takes time to listen to all my concerns (this crazy cat lady comes up with some good ones-why can't my cat eat cheese puffs?). When one cat had to be put to rest, they were compassionate and let me hold her while she passed on. I wish my own doctors treated me with that much respect. The new location is much easier to get to. I wish I could give them 100 stars.

I recently adopted a tuxedo cat from a rescue. I brought her into City Kitty for a check up and to get us in their records. The building is very cat friendly and they had a decent amount of parking space. The staff was amazing, very helpful, and friendly with my cat. The price for the care was very reasonable. If you only have cats, this is absolutely the vet you should use.

My cat doesn't travel well and is usually a wreck at the vet. I've never seen him so well handled and comfortable at his yearly appointment as at City Kitty. The techs and vet were extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I didn't feel rushed through the appointment like at previous places and they really took the time to answer all of my questions. They explain all of the charges and fees prior to running the tests so there were no surprises when the bill was presented. It might be a little pricier than some places, but very reasonable and totally worth it for the individual attention and cat specific knowledge they offer. I can't recommend them enough!

I live here in providence, and consider City Kitty to be a great place for cat owners! They are welcoming, genuine and offer great care to my pets every time i go! No matter just a basic checkup or something more the service & people are wonderful! I love the one on one service offered because it is a smaller location you don't feel rushed to take your pet to an apt and can speak freely to your vet about any concerns you might have. Prices are reasonable obviously pets can be expensive but no matter they are willing to work with you. I am a dedicated City Kitty Customer!
