Very pleased with everyone at Yalesville Veterinary Hospital. The staff are very pleasant and professional. Dr. Kostolitz is hands down one of the best vets we have ever seen. He is extremely thorough, caring, and knowledgeable. We brought our American Eskimo in to see him for a bloody and stuffy nose, Dr. Kostolitz really took the time to explain everything to us so we knew what were facing and what our options were moving forward. He is just a truly wonderful veterinarian.

Very friendly people. My cat gave birth on Mother's Day to a small litter of kittens. Over the night they had dried together because momma kitty didn't clean them properly, and the people here very expertly removed them from each other and got them feeding. Very happy to have the kittens

I wish there was a option 4 zero stars...... This place was great in 1999 so many years latter it's a bad place where all that matters is money. The fat rude girl that works there told my wife after a consultation that we should just put our puppies down it would b better for him' after we told them we did not want the 1 nite stay for 2800 dollars. They are a puppie mill where your heart is used to milk ur wallet. The people who go here and are happy must not know every test done there costs 3x what it should. Our new vet is Meriden animal hospital where they care about the pet and not hurting the owner to get the new sports car they want.i advise anyone who has been a long term client please do urself and ur pet a service go elsewhere u will save a ton of money and ur pet and pocket will b better 4 it. They help my dogs script hostage over what they said was a 600dollar test I could not afford at the time my new vet did that test and 3 others plus the fee for coming in that would have been 70 more at yalesville for 212

I would recommend anyone with a pet to go to Yalesville Veterinary Hospital. They have the most caring staff and treat your animals with love and care. They call to even check up on your pet after their visit. The world would be much better place if humans had doctors who care about humans the way this Hospital cares about your animals. You need to bring your pet there to experience the wonderful treatment your pet will receive. Thank you to the entire staff for always being caring and loving to our dog.

I had brought my Yorkie in a few Saturday’s ago because he was losing weight n not feeling good..The staff and doctors are great, they did exam, took blood and the next day called me to come in for results and medicine... the Dr took the time to explain everything and they have called even over Christmas to check to see how he’s doing... I have been with my other vet for many years and they have NEVER done any of this! And there open 7 days a week with late hours. I will be switching all 3 of my dogs to this vet! There great!

What a fabulous visit and loved the doctor, typically the vet comes to my home, which is another great benefit they offer, but the cat needed an off visit. The doctor and technicians were amazing, kind, friendly and must of all really cared and made the cat feel loved. I highly recommend Yalesville Vet to everyone. Just called for the very first time to see how much all the important shots that a 2yr dog would need and the woman that answered the phone had no idea what i was saying!!!!! Really?!?!? You work at a veterinary hospital and you do not know what the important shots are?!?! Rabies and Distemper shots are usaully really important for dogs to have and she had no clue

Way too expensive. When I go here I feel like they literally just want to make as much money as they can. I feel like they don’t recommend things that are actually beneficial or necessary it’s more like okay what else can we say or do to get more money out of this visit. If you still decide to go you’ll see what I’m saying. Not worth it. There are cheaper options in the area that offer excellent pet care.

I have been a loyal customer since 2008. This is the best vet for your pets, the stuff is very nice and helpful they are open late and on weekends!!. I been taking my dog here for all his vaccines and routine checks. I recommend Dr. Kostolitz he has been seen my dog "CMOS" since he was a puppy. I'm happy to say that this will continue to be my vet of choice for many years to come... :)

I have been coming here on and off for the last 15 years and 5 or so dogs. The doctors are caring and their end of life service is excellent. They are not inexpensive though and it's important to be aware of that. But this is a case of getting what you pay for, definitely.

Not a Vet but a business. Make sure you take your wallet. As long as you have alot of money then your animal will be ok. I brought a cat that i found and didn't want it to suffer. I paid and after a week the cat was given to me to be brought home. Week later the cat past. Very expensive lesson. Still love animals. I want a Vet that loves animals first. Not business First. Very disappointed.

Went there since I was a young kid with my three dogs and rabbits...the level of care is great but the price has sky rocketed unfortunately...the dollar has become more important to them than the animal, especially since their renovation. Plenty of vets in the area that offer the same services and will charge as little as half the price. Yalesville:600 to spay a rabbit, others: 300. Same ratios when it comes to larger animals...Just one of many examples. Sad to see my childhood vet go money hungry.

This was my first experience in having to bring a pet to the vet. Roy is not the first dog I have had, I had one growing up he was a mut his name was Tiger and he was great. Unfortunately he got sick and we had to put him down. So 20 plus years later I got a new dog name Roy. I didn't know anything, but going to Yalesville Veterinary Hospital the place was very clean, the staff was excellent and understanding. Ashley helped me in bringing Roy to the exam room because he was very stubborn. The technician and the veterinarian explained everything in detail, answered all my questions in ones I didn't know to ask. I really thank every at Yalesville Veterinary for making this a very pleasant experience!!!

They didn’t find the ear mites in my kitten, which I pointed out and was dismissed. They also didn’t pick up on the fact that my female kitten had a tape worm. They said she weighed 2lbs less than her brother (same age) and we gave them fecal samples. Which apparently they didn’t bother to run tests on. We brought them to traits every animal matters cat truck for neutering and spade (significantly cheaper and great service!) about a month later and they found both these problems! If I bring my kittens to a vet for a health check up I expect them to actually check the health of my kittens! Not to mention that their services weren’t cheap for not even diagnosing their problems. I have no other animals so I’m certain the problems did not occur between the two vet visits. I will not be returning.

I switched to Yalesville when I adopted my new puppy last year because they came highly recommended by several friends. Paid $75 for "free" shots for life then realized that the covered shots were only a few dollars so $75 would most likely be more than paying per shot. The next visit I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to be seen because the secretary forgot to mark that I had arrived in the computer. Then they gave me weight based medication based on an outdated weight for my pup, I didn't realize this until I got home and went to dose him thankfully I read the entire panthlet before I gave it to him. The final straw was when I had discussed with the Doctor that because we were getting his required shot free for life I would like to pay for all other vaccinations available. Several months later I went to enroll him in a doggie daycare that requires k9 influenza vaccinations but the paperwork faxed over didn't show that he had been given a flu shot. Both the girl who answered the phone and the manager on duty when a called were rude and unapologetic. They promised another manager would call me then next day to make it right but that was 3 days ago now. Never Again!

We take our Aussiepoodle there since day one. In general it is very good, clean, the people are so friendly and take very good care of him. We get appointments very fast, they could help us with Flakes stomage and everything he had. They handle him very good, he is deaf, and are very lovely with the dogs and owners. The grommer is doing a very good job, but I think it is a bit expensive. The only thing I didn't like, we are going to travel to germany and I read the german homepage what the dogs need (shots...) and it was a hard time for them to understand that we need more than they thought... So I had to try 4 times to get them to do a rabies-antibody test, they didnt want to do it. But after my finace called it worked. So maybe it was my accent or they didnt believed me, we will never know. They gave me the same papers 3 times, I read them the first time, but maybe thats because they thought I didn't understand it, I did understand it...

If you have financial hardships do not come here. Very little compassion for those who don't have thousands to spend on their animal. Tried to work something out with the hospital manager and was told prices are what they are. Too many options for a more affordable price out there. Update: I wanted to update my review. The veterinarians here are top notch. Dr. Resa Mclellan is very knowledgeable, caring and makes herself available as much as possible by phone and email. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. I stand by my previous review however that the management here is more concerned about profits. Everything here is significantly higher priced than other vets in the area. Veterinarians and staff are great just greedy management.

Without a Doubt the best experience I've ever had in my life I've had two of my dogs come here and have been treated fantastically they have tremendous customer service and they're fantastic with my dogs and that's the best part and on two occasions I had emergencies which they fully came in all geared up ready to rock and roll like I just went into the emergency room at a human hospital and they took care of my dogs and they worked with me they're fantastic I love them thank you very much to them I've been coming here by the way for about 10 years and I couldn't imagine ever going to another place in my lifetime for any reason in fact if they ever closed up I would feel completely lost when it came to where I would go or what I would do with medical care to my animals
