The sunbury animal hospital has saved my kitty's life twice. Once in 2013 and just recently in January 2018. Kittyanne has kidney disease and both times they have hospitalized her for a few days and she has bounced back wonderfully. Not sure how long this will continue to work for her but I am extremely grateful for the chance at having her back with us.

I have had my pets cared for by the staff at Sunbury Animal Hospital for years and years and years. The care they got is the best! I have had several poodles over the years and most recently standard poodles. Unfortunately my 13 yr. 7 mo. standard poodle named Sadie passed away from natural causes on September 12, 2017. She had been under the care of the animal hospital since her birth. I would not even think of going to any other vet for care. Sadie had been boarded there and taken there when she needed medical attention. Always, I was totally satisfied with the care I received. Always, Sadie was anxious to go into the hospital. She would wag her tail as soon as I turned into the lane of the entrance area and got really upset if I didn't take her along in where I was getting dog food or making a social call! I now am the owner of a new standard poodle puppy. Miss Elizabeth "Lizzie" will be the fortunate canine to receive the same expert care my other poodles received. No matter where you are when your pet is under their care you will receive the most caring attention to your pet as I experienced with Sadie. She was of an age where her days were numbered, but still, she received whatever her body needed by the caring staff of Sunbury Animal Hospital! I go for the best................and Sunbury Animal Hospital delivers!

Didn’t end up taking our dog there but after being treated like dirt from another local vet I called Sunbury who was more than willing to help us with our dog. My fiancé ended up getting an appointment elsewhere while I was on the phone with Sunbury. The lady was extremely nice and caring. I was almost in tears when I called there and she was beyond understanding and compassionate.

This place is all about the money. I have called many times over the years for my dog to be seen and I always get the same b.s. no appointments for weeks but for an additional $100.00 emergency fee they can always squeeze us in. Found new vet & strongly advise you to make a different choice!

Do not take your beloved pet here!! Do your research and find a more compassionate practice!! Way too many bad reviews for my comfort level

Appointment at 945. Still waiting at 1045. Not very happy. Why give an appointment if they aren't going to see you?

I first started going to Sunbury Animal Hospital for my cat because it was close, but soon realized some things are worth a longer drive. I stopped going because it was always expensive, the staff was rude/condescending, and I never seemed to get to see an experienced vet. It was always vet techs who were younger than me (and I'm not that old) to see my cat instead of the doctor in charge (never saw one in multiple visits). So deciding to use a different animal hospital was ok with me, however this is not the case with my 87 year old aunt. Here's what happened. After getting an opportunity to spend some time in Florida for a work opportunity, I decided to give the cat to her. She needed the companionship and i wasn't sure that going to Florida would've been a good situation for the cat. My aunts house was a wonderful fit for the cat. So while I was away, my aunt called Sunbury Animal Hospital to set up a summer cat grooming (the cat has long hair, so a summer haircut is annual ritual). With my aunt being elderly, driving is difficult for her as Sunbury Animal hospital is the closest grooming. When she called, she was rudely told that they would not groom the cat unless I sent them a signed letter explaining that I gave the cat to her. (Note, grooming is not a medical procedure, and anesthesia is never used on this cat for grooming because the cat stays calm. If you, as a human being, go to a salon or barber and try to present an ID or signed letter before a haircut, they'd look at you like you were nuts, however Sunbury Animal Hospital refused to give a haircut to a CAT, even though they had all records of it's care) . When my aunt told them she was 87 years old and she couldn't drive to another groomer they wouldn't budge, sticking to they're ignorant policies. Of course I did not send them their frivolous letter, and the cat got groomed at a much better facility with some transportation help from friends. If you're looking for a vet in the Sunbury area, try Furry Friends or either Selinsgrove clinic. Don't waste your time and money, especially at the new McVet Sunbury Animal Hospital is building on Rt. 890. You will likely pay a lot and have a bad experience too.

Some employees are extremely rude and unprofessional at Sunbury Anima Hospital. This place would be a last resort to take your pets. In my experience certain workers there could care less about doing their jobs and don't hesitate to accuse someone of animal abuse for a sick animal who suffered a stroke with no real reason behind it. So dissatisfied with this place.

Last month I called SAH for urgent help for our cat, Earl, who suffered a severe lip avulsion and needed immediate care. The girl who answered said they were totally booked but for a "$100 emergency fee," they could fit Earl in between regular appointments. I was thrown off by this (is your schedule full or isn't it?) and asked how, if they were full, they had time to see him. She must have been baffled by my question as she stumbled over her answer (which made no sense), so I let her off the hook and said we would be there in 15 minutes. When we got to SAH, a gentleman was at the reception desk about getting his dog vaccinated. No one could find his appointment nor was there record of anyone calling him the previous week. After 10 minutes of pointless debate, someone got the office manager (?) who said they would fit him in. (Note, I am still standing there with my wounded cat while four people at the desk are laughing about this situation.) One of the assistants finally noticed me and waved me to the desk for check-in. I sat down in the full waiting room and watched as two other (non-urgent) pets were taken in ahead of us. By now 30 minutes had elapsed and I was fuming! My cat was injured, bloody, and most likely in pain! I had enough and left. I took Earl to Companion Animal Hospital who, without hesitation or an extra "emergency fee," took us in immediately. Pure professionalism from start to finish! I will never, ever again entertain the idea of taking our pets to SAH. We are committed to Companion.

I've been taking my pets to Sunbury Animal Hospital for a little over 5 years and have always been thankful for their knowledge and experience. I trust the doctors and find the staff friendly and helpful.

I called to say I would be a few minutes late. They were very rude. My husband formerly made and kept appointments and passed away. They accused me of over-sleeping in a snide way (it was 2 p.m. and I was tide over at work). They called his disconnected number! They had the nerve to day I was taking my spouse's death out on them. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

Sunbury Animal Hospital has the absolute finest care for our furry family members. We have rescue dogs who were very temperamental when we first adopted, and SAH has been wonderful with the pups, taking appropriate steps to help them feel safe and protected. After a house fire several years ago, they got an emergency well check for all 4 of the animals in the home and put our 2 cats in a "cat apartment" for a few weeks until the home was safe enough for their return. They have been nothing but kind, informative, and professional. Their boarding facilities are also wonderful. We have littermate black labs who do not get separated and SAH schedules an extra-large dog run so they can sleep together, plus there are treats like outdoor play and nature walks available. It's a great continuity of care.

I used to personally love Sunbury Veterinary Hospital however these last visits with my baby pot belly pig have proved that this office is more concerned about money than they are the well-being of the animal we did not see a vet out of two of the four appointments my pig had there and the worst part is is we didn't see a vet to check in my pig to be spayed or when she got discharged they upped the bill over $100 and yes they did drop it some from what they quoted us and in this process we have pulled all of my pigs records and she is now going to another vet because I will never bring her back to such a facility that we do not even get to visually see a vet and discuss the surgery we were not informed that she was staying overnight and they are well aware that we live over an hour and a half away our Pig was dropped off at 7:30 in the morning and was not operated on till 2 in the afternoon after fasting since 8 the night before and every time we called to schedule an appointment gave our last name wood should have brought up my pigs records They didn't even look at the computer to see that they were the ones treating her since she was 4 weeks old before the operation took place they asked if she was spayed somewhere else just because she had a small scar on her stomach well if they've been seeing her since she was 4 weeks old and they're the only vet within 100 miles that fixes baby pot belly pigs obviously I didn't take her anywhere else so they are also incapable of checking their records before they even operate apparently I am not pleased at all with this Hospital and I would not recommend it to anyone any longer but whoever takes her animals there if you have a pleasant time I wish you the best

There is something seriously wronge with this place...It's a very nice building...But there communication is horrible nobody know what's going on ..It's like pulling teeth to get information...My dog could not walk because of Lyme's ..They didn't want me in till my appointment next week..I couldn't believe they didn't want me to come in right away...I forced my way into the place and got service...Never again .

I've adopted a pup and went back to work after taking a week off. He was very skittish and not adventurous like most pups and when I went back to work, I decided to have him kept at doggie daycare during the week. The staff was understanding to my situation and accommodated the drop-off time to fit my schedule. They also worked with my pup to help him become more outgoing and allowed for his security pillow/bed to come until he was comfortable without it. They really helped him come out of his shell as I had to carry him in and out for the first week and a half until he surprised me by walking out on his leash one day.

I called in on 8/3/19, because I was concerned with my dogs behavior. Woman told me she was unable to give me any advice at all because legally they have never cared for my dog at that specific location. I was not asking to be seen by a vet, only some helpful advice and reasurance. I was very upset and shocked to hear that. I would never recommend this place. As my first time dealing with them, I am disappointed.

Jason Enders

My dogs are patients of this vet, my one dog keeps falling down and can't stand up so I called to get him seen and they told me there were no appoints and weren't for a couple weeks. They said he could be seen as an emergency for a fee of $90 dollars just to walk in the door. You would think that being a patient they would have openings with out a fee in case you animal gets sick, no not here they are all about the money not the animals. I called another vet and explained what was going on and they took my dog right away with no emergency fee, come to find out my dog has a brain tumor. Thanks a lot Sunbury animal hospital for not taking one of your patients. This wasn't the first time they did this either. I am so disgusted with this place. I hope people read this and go elsewhere.

Scot Miller

I read some of these and wonder. For the people that complain about waiting to be seen. Sometimes other emergencies do come up, just because you don't see what is going on in the back doesn't mean they are slow. Sometimes I go right in sometimes I wait, that is life. Have I taken things there and they got it wrong Yes. But more times then not they got it right. I have been going to Sunbury Animal since it was down at the underpass with Dr. Kamsler. When I need help they are there. They are not just the vet but they are friends. No they are not perfect but neither am I. They are my first and only choice!

Nancy Ney

They found a heart murmur that 2 other vets within 6 months missed . I am thankful for their patience with the nastiest cat in the world :)

Appointments are kept on time, costs are reasonable, staff and doctors are knowledgeable and helpful. The facility is wonderful too.

Sandy Herb

Very friendly staff. Beautiful facility. We were taken back promptly. Waited a little while in the room before the doctor came in. Dr. Anna was wonderful. She was great with our 140 lb st.Bernard and explained everything thoroughly to us. Check out was a little disorganized but not terrible. I was happy with my visit and will continue taking my best friend there.

Linda Krushinskie

While the wait time seems a little excessive, the care provided is very good. I have seen four vets in four visits , and so far I am most impressed with Dr. Shaw. As I am new to this area, it was hard transitioning from home health care for my pets to having to take them to the vet. This clinic is fairly close to my house and their extended hours suit my schedule very nicely.

Andrea Dorman

We needed care for our GSP during the weekend when his regular veterinarian wasn’t available. I drove him over and completed intake and discussed concerns with both the Vet tech and the Veterinarian. Both were knowledgeable and helpful and for the remainder of our pet’s stay, I felt he was given excellent care. Unfortunately, our story lacks a happy ending and when we went to pick him up, the front desk person requested payment before we brought him home for burial. I felt this was very insensitive and frankly rude but, I too, work in healthcare and understand it is a business. Thank you to Dr Shaw and Dr Peterson for your care and skill & frequent updates on his health. I do feel he received excellent care.

My senior citizen dad on a very fixed income recently took his beloved Maltese for a much needed surgery that he didn't have the money for but after the surgery when he picked her and the bill up he was overwhelmed with gratitude at the cost. I, Rhonda his daughter, was brought to happy tears when I was told what the cost was. How wonderful it would be if more Veterinarians would help seniors in the cost of their loving fur babies. We are so thankful for their kind consideration in regards to my dads dear companion Lacey. Thank you sooooo much! Rhonda Quici, State College, Pa.

I need to say that I have never been a big fan of the sunbury animal hospital. But they have a vet there named Dr. Craig and he was awesome. Our golden retriver was playing with the kids, cryed when my husband go home liked he always did when he was happy to see someone or if we were going camping. One miniute he's fine the next minuite he can't breath, he's frothing at the mouth, etc. We had him to the hospital in 15 min's. Dr Craig came and talked to us every step of the way. From an x-ray to when my dog wasn't going to make it. It ended up jessee j had a blood clot go to his lungs which happen to be full of cancer. He was gone in a hour. It was bad enough that we lost our best friend that day, but I knew Dr. Craig had done all he could. My husband and my son didn't want to go in 1 last time, I sat in the room a total mess with my beloved buddy and Dr.Craig sat with me, rubbibg my back while a grown woman completly lost it over her Buddy. I will defently go back there when or if I get another dog as long as Dr. Craig is there! I hope this Dr stays there because I have nothing but the most respect for him and praise for what he did for my boy and myself.

Based on our recent experiences, I wouldn't recommend taking a pet to Sunbury Animal Hospital unless you have no other options. The latest experience was the most disturbing for us. One of our beagles is being treated at Metzger's Animal Hospital in State College for a fungal infection of the blood. He takes the medication Fluconazole twice a day for this condition. State College is about a 1 and 1/2 to 2 hour drive for us. When we last took him there, we took his medication with us. After we got back from our appointment last week, we realized we had left the medication at Metzger's. We could get our medication back from Metzger's through the mail, but it would take a couple of days, of course. We could also order a new supply of the medication through Giant pharmacy, which we did, but it would not be until the next day that the medication would come in from the supplier. Our dog would miss at least two doses of this medication for his very serious disease unless we could find another source. Because three of our other dogs had been seen at Sunbury Animal Hospital, I called SAH and told the woman who answered about our predicament, and that we would like to get a few tablets of the medication, if possible, to give to our dog while we waited for the main supply of the medication. Another drive to Metzger's would be very difficult for us at that time because one of our dogs had a just died there while undergoing treatment, and we were emotionally and physically exhausted. The vet at Metzger’s was willing to fax a prescription for a small amount of pills to SAH. The woman on the phone said she thought SAH would give us the small amount of the needed medication, but she would have to ask. When she came back we were shocked to hear that SAH would not give or sell us the very small amount of medication needed, with no explanation why. The woman said she was sorry and that was the end of the conversation. I called another veternarian hospital we use in Danville, Animal Care Center, and told the woman there the same story. She checked with the pharmacist there, and they supplied us with more than the needed amount without charge. This incident is very concerning to us and really makes us wonder how truly concerned SAH is about the well being of customers' pets or the customers themselves for that matter. We called Animal Care Center in Danville the next day and thanked them for what they did for us in our predicament. We have had other experiences at SAH that have made us think about the care provided there. About two weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon, we took one of our dogs for emergency treatment to SAH. We waited for two hours with no one seeing our dog. Although there were three vets on duty, none of them came to look at her and tell us how much longer we would have to wait. We were told by the receptionist that we would no doubt have a longer wait because two dogs were coming in that needed immediate care. Although there was no real triage set up at SAH, it seemed to be assumed by the receptionist that our case could wait longer than others. We did not want to further fatigue our dog, so after these two hours we left without receiving any treatment or even advice. SAH also charges more for an emergency visit, if you are unlucky enough to need one. We would also like to recommend that you not board your pets at SAH. Although the care they receive seems to be good, there monetary charges and very high and the paper work they have you fill out is truly burdensome. Sincerely, Bob Walz

What a great team and group of caring professionals! My dog became very ill, and I was desperate to have him seen as soon as possible. I had never been there before. From the initial phone call all the way through the visit and surgery and to the next day when I brought him home, everyone was extremely caring and concerned. I am an RN, and I have to say that I was very impressed with their skill, professionalism, and compassion. GREAT JOB!!!

My dog has been missing since Feb. 18, 2019. Found out April 11, 2019 that she was at the Sunbury Animal Hospital after receiving a voicemail and an email from them because she is microchipped. Called and left a message with one of the desk workers (very friendly) and had to wait about 4hrs for the person who deals with dogs who are brought it to return my call. Then was told that the dog was released to someone who claimed to be the owner even though the chip was registered to me and he had no tags. I am beyond upset about how the staff involved handled the whole situation.

Slowest service i have ever seen it was ridiculous

Took our boxer there to have a tumor removed from her ear. The bill was a third of the estimate from our other vet. They were able to see her on a Saturday and schedule surgery first thing Monday morning. I really appreciate their 24 hour service once you're a client. The staff was kind and compassionate and the vet who did the surgery did a fantastic job. You cannot even tell which ear had the large, bleeding tumor on it. I drive an hour to get there and it's well worth the trip.

this hospital has become one of the worst hospital i've been going to,the last 5 times my wife sits in the waiting room from 1hr to 2hrs just to get in today makes the 2nd time we walked out without service because of sitting in the waiting room, time to look for a hospital note the doctors are good but just time to look for a new place

They are great with my potbelly pig. I've never had any issue with them at all. I love the that they answer all my question and always return my phone calls quickly.

When I first got my children horses in September, I called to set up vet services for routine and emergency visits. When I talked to the lady on the phone, she said it was no problem because I am a current customer. And told me they would come to my house if there was a problem. I've had them to the house before. A few weeks ago, I thought my daughter's horse was ill, so I called the vet right away and asked them to come out. It was late, so I got the answering service. They told me that because the horses hadn't been seen by the doctor yet, no one would come. Ummmm...that's what I tried to set up weeks ago with my first call....Anyway, then the lady said that if I called in the morning they would send someone. So I waited until 7:30 and started calling. Finally got someone on the phone at nearly 8:00, only to be told they will not come to my house. At all. For any reason. They changed their policy. THREE YEARS AGO!!!! Everyone was giving me different stories. No one in that office knows what they're talking about. Very poor management. I am not a fan.

I am so happy I encountered this place my dog needed life saving surgery and they helped me out with the icare program. I am so overwhelmed by happiness that thanks to sunbury animal hospital and Dr Sheruda and Dr Salem my precious snausages was saved from a cancerous spleen mass and has a second chance on life. So for everyone who has something bad to say about this hospital they should talk to me first... Thank you so much guys for everything ....

Warning!! I had to take my precious Pooky Bear (Ashton) to the Sunbury animal hospital June 18th at midnight because he had 29 small seizures and 9 grand mal seizures in 4 days time. He was blind, couldn’t even lift his head and completely suffering. His last set was 9 back to back. My brother, my roommate and I walked in and they took us back to this room where I gently put him down. The nurse scooped him up off the exam table then took him in the back where the dr was. I don’t know why she couldn’t be bothered to come to the EXAM room to examine him but whatever. Just more time lost with him while he was still alive. He’s only my baby, who cares, right? While he’s in the back we walked out front where the receptionist is and the only option she gave me was to euthanize him because we only had $200 to work with. I begged to be put on a payment plan or something so I didn't have to kill my dog. "We don't offer that here it's cash on hand" Then I begged them to have him cremated and I’d be able to pay the cash Thursday when Matt got paid and she says they don’t offer that service. Seriously?! You can’t wait 2 fricken days, you don’t offer a payment plan, do you guys care at all? If you don’t have cash on hand they will NOT HELP YOUR PRECIOUS FUR BABY! Some of us are on a fixed income and can’t afford this “help” he was my 4th love and I had to put him down because I was “broke”. Come the heck on. Of course after Ash was put to sleep they were all, “I’m so sorry for your loss” and offered to take him to the truck but I didn’t want her to touch him any more than she had to. They are so cruel. I’m sorry but I’ve never heard of an animal hospital that ONLY wanted money. Not to help at all. I am upset that I had to put him to sleep but I'm more upset that they treated my baby boy like he was nothing. He was my everything. They treated him like complete garbage because I didn't have enough money for them. Please check out my Facebook page: A voice for Ashton

Sorry to say how disappointed I am in an animal hospital that used to be a place you could count on to be there for you, before it moved to its new location. I'm not sure what the mission statement of Sunbury Animal Hospital is, but I don't think it is care and compassion for the people who trust them to be there for their beloved pets. I feel it has now become their mission to get as much money as possible out of their clients. Being a patient there I was unable to get a regular visit for my dog in the middle of the week and was told I would have to come in on an emergency visit for 92.00 that increased to 102.00 when I called another day. On the day my dog died I called in the middle of the day and was told by the answering service that there was a staff meeting in session and someone would call me back in an hour….. In the mean time I called another vet office that had available appointments at almost anytime I would need, and I was immediately able to have my dog seen and cared for. When I came back from a very long day, I thought I might at least find a message on my answering machine that Sunbury Animal had tried to call back, but there was nothing. I was also billed 2 weeks later for 20.00 for a canceled visit, by them, when I had never even been able to get in to be seen there. To their credit though when I called in about the bill, the lady said she would take it off with no argument. But after a very hard and sorrowful loss of a very special pet in which they were not there to help when I needed, it was insult added to injury, to receive a bill that only said to me, that they just wanted to see if they could cash in somehow on our loss. I certainly hope that a place I could count on will go back to what it used to be, until then, I can not recommend them to anyone.

Tom Annis

They won't make you an appointment but even if you get an appointment with in a few days you still have to pay 100 emergency fee BS. They only care about money. Look elsewhere they also lie to you and give you a big run around.

One of the best vets offices I have ever been too. Like anything in life things do not always go your way. However Dr. Peterson and Dr. Shaw are fantastic. They have saved several of my pets lives when things were really bad. I have nothing but praise for these two Doctors. Yes vet bills can add up but thats anywhere you go. You have to be proactive and articulate your own feelings and thoughts about your pet. You can not just dismiss things as someone elses fault because you did not speak up or ask questions. Even personal Doctors can miss something because they were not told everything up front. If your in need of a Veterinarian I highly recommend my two Doctors.

Kelly Enders

Similar to what a previous poster stated...I'm not sure what has happened to this vet office. I Used to love taking our two dogs here. Felt like staff was caring and attentive. However, the last few times we have called to schedule appointments for our dogs if they were having problems, they said they had no appointments available for several weeks and we would have to pay an emergency fee of $90. This didn't used to be the case here. So, if your dog needs anything beyond routine care, they will charge you a ridiculous amount just to be seen. This is during regular hours for established patients.

We were so discused with Watsontown animal hospital and the outrageous prices that they charge for emergency pet care we finally did our reasearch for a different animal hospital and found sunbury animal hospital. We have had one of our cats there on three different occasions and I was so impressed with how clean the facility was and how much care the staff and Doctor gave to our cat without charging out ragous prices, and trying to run every test know to man just incase that aren't necessary. I personally saw dr temple the three different times we were in and I couldn't be more pleased. Two other people that I have referred over to them saw a female vet, (I can't remember her name) and they were both extreamly happy and said that they will take their animals there from now on instead of Watsontown animal hospital, not only because of the quaility of care, but the cost was way less then what they have experienced taking their animals to Watsontown. I know people can have good and bad experiences now matter where they go, but I say give these guys a chance so you can see for yourself.

Ralph Schwalm

The folks at the Sunbury Hospital have been wonderful, and did all they could for Mrs Bigglesworth. I will always be thankful for their kindness and care. I would recommend them to anyone.

Alakananda Chakrabarty

I would never ever put my foot in that hospital. They killed my lovely 8 week old puppy by delaying his treatment for over 2 hrs, when he was in shock. My veterinarian called the hospital in advance and had all labs done, which we brought with us. He had ad IV line already in place. But doctor kept talking about the expense estimates. We repeatedly told them money is not an issue,do everything you can to save my puppy. But they did no treatment until I paid the deposit. So my puppy had cardiac arrest just after we left the building after paying the deposit and they could not bring him back. Myself being an MD, I know our puppy died due to their negligence, and delay in treatment. I strongly discourage every one to go there is you have an emergency. All they care is about the money and whether you can pay it or not.

james hart

They care more about money than they do animals, yes they will let your animal die if you dont have all the money right there with you . horrible

Wasn't on the phone one minute and was told to apply for a credit card without even a visit, all they were concerned with was money. Never call them again.

Very disgusted with them they are money hungry hogs who don't care about cats!!! I took a cat that wasn't even our cat spent almost 500.00 and they ended up euthanizing the cat anyways now another cat shows up on my steps in bad shape and it bit me drawing blood and they want money forthis cat as well and it isn't even my cat very disgusted!!!

We took our poodle to Sunbury Animal Hospital because he was always biting and scratching himself and they said he was allergic to something and prescribed Benadryl. We gave him that for over a year and he started losing his fur. We couldn't let him suffer anymore since no one could figure out what was wrong with him and decided to euthanize him and the first time we took him to get euthanized (we chickened out) the vet tech informed us the dog obviously had mange. She said it could have been fixed but because of him having it for so long and him being 17 years old it probably wouldn't recover. Incompetence caused my dog to suffer for far too long. Please don't take your pet to them. It's sad when the vet tech figured out the problem when the doctors couldn't.

After a long battle with cancer, we had to euthanize Damien tonight. The people at Sunbury Animal Hospital could not have been more caring or gentle both to Damien and to us through the whole process. This follows great care throughout his illness and wonderful experiences boarding him there during his life. Thank you to the vets, techs and staff.

first time I took my umbrella cockatoo here I would have Rated it 5 stars. Dr. Retting is phenomenal she did awesome with my Bird. then the next time I took her back for her wings to be clipped and her nails. someone else clipped them this time. take her home and the next day she is flying through the house breaking glass lamp shades(luckily she was able to fly away from it fairly quick and did not get hurt) I called to reschedule and they were to call me back with a time and date this was a week ago and still nothing. probably wont taken her back they charge 40 dollars for the service and they didn't even do it properly.

Every time I call or stop in, it is always a hassle. They refuse to give me maintenance medication if my year exam is a week out of date. I call for a prescription and I must jump through hoops to get a de-wormer for my cat that I have gotten before. They may be great with animals, but certainly not humans.

I'm not sure what happened to this place. When they were at their old location they were wonderfuCDl. You could get you pet seen right away and they cared for your beloved animal. I had many a family pet there and you were so caring and compassionate. Now, at their, new location, it's weeks before they will see your pet, but will immediately find the time if you are willing to pay the premium emergency price even when it's not really an emergency. Pay attention to that statement... They have no time to see them regularly, but will instantly find the time if you pay the highest price!!! Right there with that alone it tells me they are all about the money and could care a less about the animal. Not to mention. never calling back or returning calls they say they will make. On four separate occasions now, (most recent an hour ago) I've called back a day later asking why I've never been called only to find the "note" that was supposed to be put into the file was never put into the file so I was waiting for nothing all the while my pet suffered. Four separate times in the last two years!!! Maybe they bit off more then they could chew with this new bigger building and have to really sick it to their customers to help pay for it or something. But there is a massive noticeable difference with them now. After being with them for over 20+ years, I'm thinking of looking to move on. Sunbury Animal Hospital, if your reading this, sometimes bigger isn't better. You've lost your way and you've lost your compassion. The animals and the care always came first and money came after. Your priorities have changed for the worse and you are no longer reliable or compassionate and that's so noticeable it's alarming. I've noticed this with how quickly you go through doctors and medical staff alone. Why are all of your doctors that were they for decades now gone? Maybe they don't even want to work for your organization anymore and that should be a massive warning sign to all of us now. Very few of the good doctors remain and it's next to impossible to even see them anymore. The wall was loaded with the pictures of your eonderful doctors on staff. During our last visit there was only two. To me, that's worrisome. So in the end, if your looking for a veterinarian do you homework. There are much better options then this "Pet Care Factory" that this once wonderful place has become. And that's truly a tragedy because at one time I would have praised then to the moon and back.
