A Positive Channel

Everyone there is perfect, 5 stars for them. There just is one male veterinarian that has no personality, is not personable and was rough with our pets. Did not make my wife and I comfortable having our pets seen by him so we request to never use him.

Extremely professional and compassionate staff. We had one of the worst days of our lives as our elderly dog (Nala)went into cardiac arrest as we were leaving. The Vet tech ran out to our car and helped me carry our 100 lb dog back in and her and the Doctor immediately started life saving measures. Sadly, there was nothing more they could do. I would like them to know the compassion and professionalism they showed during one of the worst moments of our lives was greatly appreciated. A wonderful and caring place. God bless.

I took my kitty Mouth to Rockhill Vet on December 17. Unfortunately, he had to be put down. The staff were very helpful and empathetic. They gave me a clay paw print which I did not expect but cherish. Mouth is usually skittish and combative at vets but Rockhill staff made him feel at peace. They made him comfortable, he was so relaxed. It was my first attendance to a euthanasia but it was extremely peaceful. Mouth was in a lot of pain but never showed it. I think the atmosphere, caring staff and quick experience made his passing bearable. I will be bringing my other cats in for check ups. RIP Mouth. And thank you to Rockhill for helping him through.

Do yourself a favor, and do not use their services if you have a big, anxious dog. Unfortunately, I was a loyal customer for 7 years, even though, most of the time I felt uneasy by the way my dog was treated, particularly but by one staff member The last time they treated my dog, they took her to another office to draw blood. A couple of minutes later this employee came to get me because she could not muzzle her. When I told her that the dog did not need to be muzzled she left the office where I was waiting visibly upset. They finally managed to do the test but I noticed that something was not right. When we got home my dog could barely walk, and spent almost the entire time lying down, refusing to move. The following day I had to take her back to the vet because she was visibly in pain; she was given Gabapentin. It is very difficult to understand how a dog could be intimidated and hurt at the vet's office. After this episode, I decided to take my dog to another clinic where the atmosphere was a lot more relaxed. My girl is still nervous but they are able to examine her without any problems, because they don't care that she is a German Shepherd. After I left Rockhill, she was also treated at the Metropolitan Hospital where they were also able to examine her without problems; they even did a couple of ultrasounds without sedation. The sad reality is that there are some veterinary hospitals that do not know how to treat every pet fairly. Rockhill Veterinary Associates is one of them.

When our cat was sick and had to stay overnight they even had someone checking on him to be sure he was ok. We love Rockhill Vet!

I want to leave the lovely staff here a review since how they treated my husband and myself during our cats death was dignified and caring. Our cat of 22 years suddenly loss all use of his back legs, was screaming in pain and had two seizures. I called this vet office on a word of mouth from patients I had years ago as a health care provider. They took us in as early as they could and calmly explained everything. They let us hold the cat and allowed us all the time we needed once he passed. They even let us out a back door so we didn't have to face the waiting room. They will be getting my business again when I bring my surviving cat back for care here. I found everyone here to be just as warm and caring as we needed, which isn't easy when that is the first meeting.

We cannot say enough great things about Rockhill Vet! The staff is fantastic and the doctors are amazing. Rio loves going to see Dr. Jen and the gang and appreciates their care. We tried to go to another Vet office that was closer to us and ended up with a large bill and the other vet office did not fix our dog’s problem. We took Rio immediately back to Rockhill and they fixed up his skin issue and was back to his playful self. Believe me, Rockhill is worth the drive. With having a recent hip replacement I'm not able to drive so my fiance dropped our 1 year old golden retriever off for a grooming. The groomer Nicole came out to get our dog in which my fiance began to explain what we wanted done and she rudly talked over him to tell him,"you want a golden groom". We've never heard of a"golden groom". And with that she left my fiance standing there speechless as she took our dog in the back. He came home to tell me what happend so I called to talk with the groomer Nicole. Needless to say I got the same treatment, she talked over me and when I finally was able to tell her what we wanted she said she understood and again said,"you want a golden groom". I in turn said"I would like what I just explained to you, I want his paws trimmed in between his toes, nails clipped, trim the hair around the ear canal, trim around his wee wee area and his poop hole that's it. When my fiance brought him home she had done much more to him than I asked!! Everything is uneven to boot!! I Am So UPSET WITH THE SERVICE!!!!!!! When I called to talk to her (NICOLE) about it she blew me off. I love the vet doctor's there but am extremely upset with the groomer Nicole. She's COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

We had an emergency situation with our dog (he bit off his tail) and Rockhill was amazing! Not only for our dog, but for me as well! I almost had an anxiety attack during everything. They were so kind and supportive. My fuzzy son is all healed up and his amputated, stubby tail is adorable. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful vet close by! I wouldn't take my pup anywhere else.

We've had nothing but outstanding service from Rockhill Veterinary Associates. My only complaint is that they are so expensive. Although, I guess all good vets are expensive so it's worth it for our fur babies. It's just a problem when we're on the fence about our puppy may needing some treatment, but I'm afraid I can't afford it so we put it off.

Denise and Nicole the groomers are the BEST! My pup DOES NOT like to have his nails trimmed. I have tried several vets/groomers with limited success so my expectations were measured. After just a few minutes, Denise returned my pup with all nails neatly trimmed. I was thrilled. If your dog has anxiety over nail clipping, take him/her to Denise and Nicole. If they can't do it, no one can.

Horrible Customer Service/Unprofessional/Gold Diggers You will only get the run-around from unprofessional, uncaring gold digging people! When my last cat passed away, I adopted two kittens and took them here ever since. In the beginning everything seemed okay with the kittens. The first problem happened when I had set up my own account with them (separated from my other family members who WENT there). They would constantly call my parents number, my work number, everyone else but the one specific mobile number I had told them to call at least THREE times. Now on to the problems with my kittens... the vet kept telling me I needed to bring my one kitten back, to the point where he was going back twice a month for months to get "check ups". Since I was working, I had my parents take my kitten for the next appointment and the vet told them he had to call his "friends at a vet University" to find out what was wrong. The Vet said my cat had something wrong with this throat, and changed it the next time to his gums & teeth... he had no idea what he was doing and admitted he didn't. In the meanwhile, while my parents told me about this, I decided to call the vet and find out what was going on. I called, was put on hold for 15 minutes (get used to this if you ever call them) so they could get my kittens file only to be told that the only person that could tell would be the vet and he would call me. A couple days later the vet called me at 10pm but I missed the call by a few minutes. I went to call back and they were closed. Okay... so I called the next day to talk to the vet but "he was out to lunch and will call me back". After days and days of calling to call this place and getting the shaft, the vet finally calls me and tells me that basically the only choice is to pull out ALL of my 6 month kittens teeth (and he still didn't even know if that would fix the "problem"!) or to get an extensive, expensive blood test costing hundreds. I ended up going to another vet in the area and they took one look in my kittens mouth and LAUGHED and told me that my kitten didn't even need to be at the vet! His teeth were fine! Ridiculous! He has gotten 3 to 5 blood tests in his entire life and there is NO WAY I am pulling out my kittens teeth. After speaking with the vet, I told him I was getting a second opinion and he TOTALLY changed his attitude asking me where I was going. A few days later I receive a bill in the mail dated from two months back. Also on the bill, they put that if it's not paid within a certain time period (30 to 60 days), I would be charged interest. If they missed something, that's not MY fault, how dare they insist I OWE THEM interest!! The bill was from months ago and I had NO idea what this bill was for. I tried calling them but they had closed for the day and were closed the next. I left a message and they finally returned my call some days later trying to tell me that I owed them money from months ago. I went in person to pay this bill and ask the receptionist what this was for and how they could have missed this from two months ago. She immediately gave me attitude! After MANY, MANY blood tests, costly antibiotics, check ups twice a month, I found this place to be A RIDICULOUS WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! I must have spent THOUSANDS within months here trying to make sure my kitten is healthy! TAKE MY ADVICE, DO NOT GO HERE! You will only get the run-around from unprofessional, uncaring gold digging people! My entire family and I took our cats and ran far away from this place! We will never do ANY business here again! I took my kitten to another place for a second opinion. They took one look in his mouth and literally laughed! His teeth were fine and there was NO need to have all of his teeth pulled out! If you go here, GET A SECOND OPINION ELSEWHERE DEFINITELY!
