As you know, we don't usually stop to set scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian corresponds to the category of Veterinarian.
Friendly staff and well educated doctors and nurses. I highly recommend them for all your pet's needs.
Great and caring staff and the facility is up to date, nicely done.
The best staff ever and our pets love them too!
Very friendly
We can't say enough good things about this place. We have been with Good Hope Animal Hospital since they opened their location behind Wendy's. They have seen us through regular pet visits, puppy care, torn achilles tendon, ACL surgery and several sad occasions of having to "do the right thing" for our elderly companions. Such a caring and sypathetic staff on all occasions and always willing to listen and discuss our concerns, recognizing that our pets are part of our family. Dr. Heidecker will always hold a special place in our hearts as he repaired the torn ACL in our dog, Sara's knee and had the patience to deal with not only the stressed out dog, but the concerned Mom as well. Thank you to all the Good Hope Staff for all you do! You are very much appreciated!
Expect a little bit of a wait. Pets are treated like family. Veterinarians are thorough, competent. Always willing to discuss cost of treatment. Her vet takes the time to educate on current treatments and diagnosis. Waiting area is spacious and comfortable. Designed with a section for sick pets and free coffee. When our dog Max visits because of an illness, the staff always follow up within a day or two to find out how he is doing.
Very kind and caring staff. Expert vets. Compassionate Care all around
Very friendly staff. Convenient office hours and location. Easy to schedule appointments or to reach someone when you have questions.
Everyone that works here is amazing that are great truly love and care for animals
I would HIGHLY recommend Good Hope Animal Hospital. Dr. Leach was very through, and seemed genuinely concerned about my cat Jack. the entire staff is top notch. Madison, the assistant, took great care of us. I had recently had a not so great experience with another vet. so nice to have a team that are very dedicated to helping animals.
Love the caring staff at Good Hope!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff
If Dr. Heidecker treated humans, he'd be my Doctor. Yes, they're that good...
Friendly place, took real good care of our kitty
One of the nicest offices around. Fantastic Dr's and office staff. Love the way it is so cozy and they try so hard to make you and your pet feel like your at home. They have always taken my concerns to heart and have explained everything to me so I can understand what is going on. They have fantastic hours now on the nights and the weekends. This is a HUGE help for working fur parents. I am always given me options where available in the treatment of my angels. Enabling me to choose what was best for my fur babies and my budget. As a single mom, that is very important too. I believe they go the extra mile to make it a positive and comfortable experience no matter what the issue is. They were beyond supportive and caring when I had to make the choice to let my first 2 babies cross the rainbow bridge. It was a very peaceful and calming experience. They just take extra steps that other offices do not. I have been a client for over 17 years 4 dogs and 1 cat. I will not go anywhere else. I recommend them to anyone who loves their fur babies as much as I do.
Excellent place very concerning people
If you need a caring, compassionate and smart veterinarian, I highly recommend Dr. Julie Konetski because she took fantastic care of our dog, Lucy. When Lucy was diagnosed with cancer, she showed such compassion in her care and thoroughly explained our options. Within a few days, Lucy’s old age and deteriorating health finally caught up with her and we didn’t have a choice but to have her euthanized to end her suffering. Dr. Konetski was very thorough in explaining the procedure to us. She was gentle in her words and helped us through this extremely difficult time and even thought of us days later to reach out with a sympathy card showing her support, for that we are grateful. The entire staff at Good Hope Animal Hospital are fantastic!
Our cat Finn has been a patient at Good Hope for about a year now. Sadly, we are moving South, but the service they provide is outstanding! I'll really miss it! Dr. Michler truly cared about Finn, and was happy to answer any questions we had. The office is clean and beautiful and the staff is so friendly! Also, I saw some comments on the wait time... I've had to wait for almost all my appointments, but I never minded- the attention they give you individually is so worth it! I never once felt rushed or like Dr. Michler had other appointments she needed to get to. 110% recommend! Thank you for helping make our cat happy and healthy!
We love Good Hope Animal Hospital and would recommend to anyone! The first time we took our dog here, the vet spent more time with us than all of our appointments combined at our previous vet. They are so thorough and kind, and they truly take the time to learn about your pet. The facility is also extremely clean; I feel perfectly fine taking my infant with me when our dog has an appointment (I would never take her to our previous vet because of the smell and hair everywhere). We personally love Dr. Leach. Our dog has experienced some recent health issues and Dr. Leach has gone above and beyond to get to the bottom of the complex issue. She answers all of our questions and is very transparent. She has called us on evenings and weekends to check in on Palmer even though that is probably her family time. Can't sing enough praise for Good Hope Animal Hospital.
I have been a client of GHAH for 20 years. The staff is polite and they as well as the vets treat my animals like they are one of their own. I would recommend GHAH to anyone without any concerns. I have referred friends and people who have adopted from me and I have never had any negative feedback. The clinic as well as the kennel area is clean. Barbara
Very pleasant staff good people caring
They are amazing! The entire staff was extremely helpful, caring, and kind when my beloved Kiki cat got sick. They did everything possible for her and were honest with me when they thought it was time to end her suffering. I can't thank them enough for everything they did for Kiki. I will be going here for any and all future pet needs.
I love bringing our dogs to Good Hope Animal Hospital! The staff always makes such a fuss over them! The facility is clean and welcoming, the vet techs are knowledgeable and friendly, and the doctors are kind and patient. Ask for Dr. London. He is THE BEST!
Staff is amazing they do a great job with my dog. Pricing is nice if you just get shots you pay for them and not an office visit. Only pay an office visit if the animal sees a vet
My dog was very sick and needed immediate attention. His regular vet could not see him until a week later - I was able to call Good Hope Animal Hospital, give a brief description of symptoms, and was provided an appointment same day. The tech, Rhonda, was very sweet with my dog and very compassionate with me. Dr. Weekes was extremely knowledgeable and patient with my dog. He really look his time and was able to prescribe medications right on the spot! The facility is maintained very well and is very clean. We will now be using Good Hope Animal Hospital.
I worked here for a month and wasn't trained very well. The training was very rush rush. And when I said about getting my dogs up to date on things due to renting no one went over the how employees pets are done. I was told my one of two dogs had fleas when I know for a fact he did not have fleas and I believe he got them from in there. How can one dog in a house hold of two have fleas and the other clean. I lost my job because instead of them having the amazing training they said to have they just fired me. And when they fired me they asked for me to pay my bill. I couldn't believe it. They knew I had no job and was worried about how they were going to get money. They train their employees to get every penny out of every owner. A very money hungry vet office. They say they will work with and help every owner but that is a lie. They didnt do a thing to really help me. I would never recommend this hospital nor will I ever take my dogs back to it. Their vet tech also do a lot of standing around the back talking about personal lives.
Took my cat Milo to Good Hope Animal Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA and I dealt with Cindy (vet technician) and Dr. Weeks. Both were very professional and caring towards Milo's first visit. He growled a little bit and didn't want to leave his daddy (me), but the visit went about as well as it could have. This great experience actually started with scheduling team. Treyanda went out of her way once a cancellation occurred to actually call me back on my request to offer me an earlier appointment which I accepted. When my little guy is feeling sick, the sooner I can get him in to the doctor, the better. All in all it was a great experience that will have me coming back for more.
I recently adopted a dog and brought him in to get a check up. He gets nervous around new people and immediately hid when the technician and dr came in the room. They were both very patient with Kobuk and also made sure I was informed every step of the way.
I had to say goodbye to my best friend yesterday and the staff at Good Hope made the euthanasia process very easy for me. Every step of the way was explained and the compassion room is private and comforting. Thanks again.
Can’t say enough about the knowledge, experience, and compassion shown by Dr. Amy and Christina. It was a difficult day made bearable by the people at Good Hope. If you haven’t gone there, you should.
We've had terrible experiences in the past with more than one vet's office, but by word of mouth, my wife decided to take our dog there, Kola, and while money is an issue for us, they treated us well. They worked with our budget and were friendly and great with the kids too. Serene was awesome and Dr. Nina was fantastic too. We will be returning to continue Kola's care. Thanks so much, you guys restored my faith in Vet offices again.
I love the staff they are so caring and personable. Great customer service.
Excellent staff and customer service. Everyone there is very kind and helpful. The doctors and technicians are extremely knowledgeable and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who loves their pets.
Great vets.
my sister takes the family dog here and we have nothing but good things to say about good hope..they really care about your furry friend...Dr weeke is awesome and so are the assistants..babygirl loves them
Love Love Love Good Hope Animal Hospital! I have seen just about every doctor and they have all been wonderful, professional and knowledgeable! I have a high maintenance puppers who has been blessed with chronic allergies and I swear we visit every other month. Dr. Michlar and Dr. Kinetski are the best! So loving and so thorough! I would not take Ozzy any where else!
I haven't taken any of my pets to Good Hope, however I do not think I will be anytime in the near future. Overall I am disappointed with their customer service. First time I called, I had to wait five minutes to talk to someone and was unable to set up an appointment (not due to their fault, but my own schedule). The second time I took the time to send them an email, via their website, and clearly stated when I'd be available, if they were to call rather than email, to avoid wasting my time as well as theirs and also to avoid having to call and wait again. I get called when I'm at work and am left a voicemail to call back to set up an appointment. What was the point of the email option and the "additional info" option if they're not going to take the time to read the emails being sent. Honestly, if someone cannot take the time to read two sentences and make appropriate calls or choose an email response then I don't want to take my pets there. If you don't care about the little things, I don't trust you to care about the big things (like my pets). I am sure they are decent, and even good, veterinarians, but customer service is still important to any business.
Excellent staff and facilities. Very caring and patient focused. I've had other vets that were money oriented...at Good Hope, I get what I pay for which is the best care I could ask for my beloved companions.
Very pleased with the staff and doctors. My dog, Sadie, just had a dental cleaning and tumor removal. Thank you to Dr. Heidecker for making sure everything went as expected and Sadie is doing quite well. And, thanks to the vet technicians for being so knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the surgery and follow up care. I have nothing but good things to say about Good Hope. Keep up the great work!
The staff are excellent at Good Hope Animal Hospital!!!! They are very friendly! When my family got our first dog, I had a lot of questions and concerns about caring for our dog. Dr. Heidecker was so patience with all my questions and concerns. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. Since then we have added another dog to our family. I have never had a problem getting an appointment and there is no long wait time to be seen. I love the friendly reminders I receive when it time to order my dogs medicine and when time to make a appointment for the dogs.
the most wonderful animal hospital i've ever been to! my cat Bishop is suffering from kidney disease and a little while ago, he needed IV fluids to get his kidney values down. he was so dehydrated that all the stool in his colon and GI tract were dried up and he couldn't pass it on his own. Dr. Amy Leach and the wonderful technicians of Good Hope got the stool out and brought his kidney values back from the brink. there's no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't be here with me today were it not for their expert skills and knowledge. Dr. Weekes, another of the Good Hope doctors, got my other cat Bumble back on his feet after he was afflicted with a fever of unknown origin. he was thoughtful and caring and kept in communication with me every step of the way during Bumble's hospitalization. you can trust these folks with your beloved pets, and the prices are great for the level of care your pet will receive - the very best! and as far as the ex-employee's review is concerned, shame on you. your personal experience does NOT speak to the level of care and professionalism that I and my pets received (and clearly many other pet owners too) - and it's mind boggling that you would choose to complain about your employment in a place where people share their experiences as clients.
I absolutely love this place. They are always so kind and really compassionate toward the animals. I highly recommend this place.
Absolutely love this place. Been with them over 7 years now, vets have great knowledge and the staff is excellent!
Awesome atmosphere. My pup actually enjoys her visits to the vet. The folks are always extremely kind to me and my puppers. They thoroughly explain everything that is being done and have never left us in the dark about anything. Whenever we have questions we can just call into them and they are always willing to give free advice and recommendations. I would very strongly recommend this vet to anyone.
I have been taking my pets to GHAH since 2010. I worked there from October 2010-May 2012. I am giving GHAH a 5 star rating because I have personally seen the care the doctors, and techs put into their work with their clients and patients. I don't really know any of the new doctors in there now. I only know Dr. Heidecker, and Dr Michler. And maybe Dr. Berlin if she is still there. But I know well enough to know that they set very high standards for the selection of doctors that they employ. Dr. Heidecker is who has seen all of my pets. With the exception of a handful of times. He has always been great with every single on of them that has ever went into his office. In April 2015 GHAH played a pretty important part in saving my German Shepherd, Halo's life. And for that I am incredibly grateful. I haven't been back in about a year because I still owe them money for that whole ordeal. But I look forward to going back in the future. I trust that the doctors know what they are doing, and have the knowledge to answer my questions. I feel comfortable leaving my pet there if it is needed. The hospital is neat and clean. It's a place I enjoy taking my pets to. And look forward to doing so again.
We had our first visit to Good Hope Animal Hospital this week, and saw Dr. Mantione! The front desk and Abby our tech were all very friendly and professional. Dr. Mantione was wonderful, spending a lot of time answering all of our questions and taking great care to examine our new puppy and go over everything from training, feeding, and vaccinations to pet insurance and dog food options. We know our new puppy is in good hands with Good Hope Animal Hospital and we highly recommend them!
Be prepared................to wait. Don't expect to be seen at your appointment time. Don't even expect to be seen within 30 minutes of your appointment time. Don't expect the vet to spend more than a few minutes with you before rushing on. They are always behind. Don't expect to be told how much services or medication will cost. Expect expensive surprises at checkout. Don't expect there to be anything that comes close to management or even decent customer service. I had an issue with how much something was going to cost because the vet that saw my pet never told me. There was no office manager available, no one cared, the owner was there and refused to talk to me because...........you guessed it, he's one of the vets and he was 3 appointments behind. Expect that they will recommend surgery or other expensive options. These people only care about their bottom line. They have no understanding of what customer service is. If you voice your opinion or ask to speak with anyone, prepare to be called difficult and get an attitude from the office staff. I would recommend anyone that doesn't want to overpay or spend a lot of time waiting steer clear of this place.
Friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate staff. The doctors offer their time, are through, gentle and relateable. No pushing of products and services. Do a price match on meds. The facility is comfortable and not stringent. We just love GHAH!
Wonderful and friendly staff, innovative and professional veterinarians; as well as, a beautiful location and office.
Dr. London and his staff are extremely professional and have the best interests for you and your pet.
My Jack, Pepper, started having eye problems on Christmas day & she was diagnosed with glaucoma. Dr. Heidecker was great with her & didn't take any shortcuts to help or comfort her. Unfortunately, it was irreversable & her eye needed removed. They kept me updated all thru her surgery & the rest of the day, even sent me pics of her. The staff is awesome too! Good Hope is the only vet she's never been afraid to visit. Even my little Toy Fox/Chi loves it there. I can't imagine going anywhere else!
Can't say enough Good things about this place especially when they are voted Harrisburg's Best 6 out of the 7 years.
Very friendly, good with your Fur babies
Great staff and it’s evident they love animals here. I had an emergency to get my dogs some kennel shots last minute on my wedding day and they were very accommodating. They are not the cheapest vet out there but they are very convenient for our needs.
Great dr and staff
Right from the start, the desk staff was courteous and friendly and got me an appointment right away. The Hospital itself is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The tech was great and the Dr. was gentle and kind and knowledgeable. I would def recommend this animal hospital.
Great staff and great doctors. You can tell that they really care about your pet.
Overpriced, pushes unnecessary tests & services, rude, lazy. Nice facility & location, prob covered by superfluous fees.
Took a friends cat. Fast service. Friendly help.
Great place to keep your pet family healthy
great & friendly
Good doctors, friendly and professional.
They really, really care, and they're really, really good....all of them.
We have been taking our pug mix dog here for his entire 11 years. They've taken good care of him and he's still going strong so we have no complaints :)
Friendly staff, great facility and passionate vets.
Always a great experience with knowledgeable veterinarians. Have had surgery, dental, sick visits and wellness exams. I trust them with my pets.
Everyone there are nice and care about your animal and there well being.
Every one really Awesome Thank you Naomi
Great Staff, Great Doctors, everyone is so friendly and caring. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
I’ve been here several times between my older dog and two cats, the providers are genuine and thorough. The rest of the staff there is fantastic as well, I’ve never had a poor experience here and would recommend. They have been able to accommodate me with same-day appointments at times which is very helpful. Sometimes we wait a little extra in the waiting room but everyone is nice and busy, most of all the Vets take their time when their with us so that really doesn’t bother me much.
Everyone is friendly and professional. My dog Murphy is a bit shy of new people but he accepted Dr. Weekes quite fast during our initial wellness visit.
We always get great service. Big facility and the staff is very friendly.
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend
Treated 6 of my pets very well over we real years.
Excellent experience over many years of dealing with them. Dr. Weeks is very knowledgeable and great with Lexi. They are a bit pricey, but they're still doggone good!!
GHAH saw my dog within an hour late on a Friday afternoon after noticing drastic change in her which was from an infection. They were informative and always call to follow up the following day. That has been so important when there are extra questions and shows the value and effort put in to make sure they are recovering and keeping them healthy.
Awesome doctors and staff. They take really good care of my dog and always follow up on her
I took my dog Willy here just the other day and was so happy with the entire experience. They answered my questions and took great care of my dog. I'm very happy to have a wonderful vet!
Always friendly and helpful. The only improvement I'd suggest is hiring more vets, as the vet we saw seemed to be pulled in a lot of directions. He was great with our dog and very accommodating of my parents' puppy who had to tag along on our visit.
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT WHATS BEST FOR YOUR DOG! I had my dog taken there to get surgery to get a mass cell tumor removed off her skin. Two weeks later my groomer discovered they forgot to take the some stitches out of my dog!! The skin was beginning to form over the stitches. Not to mention my dogs tumor was beginning to grow back after they determined it was a low grade. The surgery was not even a month ago. They would not give me the time of day to even ask the dr a question about a surgery I just spent over 1000 dollars on! They wanted to restest the cell tumor and make another appointment when the surgery was less than a month ago to pay them more money. If you go here they try to upsell you all their products and run you through a process. First the nurse and if you say they try to make you feel bad about it. After she leaves the room you can hear them whispering how I declined the their products for ticks and then the dr tries to come in and upsell you. This proves this business is money oriented and not let oriented. The technicians there are friendly but clearly the goal is money and not the best interest of the pet. After spending 1200 dollars to get something diagnosed, tested, pathology to find out it’s a low grade. The tumor is coming back with stitches still left in my dog that they claimed they had removed. If it was for my groomer who lifted her skin when bathing her it would have grown over the stitches. I asked to speak with the dr to ask her opinion of what I should do next because it looks like it’s regrowing plus you already messed up by not properly removing her stitches they told me that the dr is not allowed to talk to you unless you make an appointment. Of course I’m very concerned for my dog and they did not take any of this into consideration. Answering someone’s question takes 30 seconds which I was already in there getting the stitches they forgot to take out removed. DO NOT GO HERE If YOU WANT WHATS HEST FOR YOUR DOG!!!
My experience with Good Hope Vets began 20+ years ago when another vet misdiagnosed our collie, Henry. He was to be put to sleep and at the last second, on the advice of another collie lover, I made an appointment with Good Hope; they were in Carlisle then. Coincidently, both appointments were at 4pm, on the same day- which was a Tuesday. I will never forget it. I think it was Dr Heidecker that quickly realized what was wrong with Henry, prescribed some pills & in a day or two our beloved collie was good as new! Henry lived a long and happy life all thanks due to Good Hope Vets. I have many more stories like this from Good Hope, I would never go anywhere else. George Bressler New Cumberland, PA
The only reason I give this place two stars is because Dr. Meekes is fabulous! Now, the down side is - that place is money hungry!!!! I decided to take my dog here because the vet my grandmother takes her vet to Dr. Mimnaugh ( who is beyond amazing) has a waiting list and my pup had an ear infection that needed taken care of ASAP! Now at Dr. Mimnaughs or even most other vet offices, if you have a pretty large vet bill they let you pay it off over time. Not here!!!! Here they will only let SOME clients pay over time. The first time I came here in front of me at the desk a lady was there with an adult dog and a puppy, and was told she had an outstanding balance from last time and was asked if she wanted to pay it now or later. I paid my first visit $165.00 in FULL! Now please note I am a college student. I used to live in SC and take my dog to a completely AMAZING vets office for only $42.00 a month which included unlimited office visits, neutering, a microchip, yearly vaccinations and 24/7 emergency access. So I was more than a little thrown back when my first visit was $165.00 which was supposed to include a free nail trim which they NEVER did! They told me after his initial first visit they wanted him to come back in two weeks for a re-check. My grandmother (the one mentioned above) said that if they charge me for a revisit fee to tell them that I shouldn't be charged that. Mimnaugh, a vet with a waiting list for crying out loud doesn't charge that because the client isn't the one making the appointment, the vet is! So I went back and for the revisit, a heart worm blood test (which they kind of guilt tripped me into agreeing to to begin with), and three shots cost me $215.00!!! Now to me that is a little bit asinine. At the time I could probably only pay $80 of that bill until my paycheck came in the following week. I explained to the lady at the front desk my situation and she said, "sorry you have to pay in full." I told her to ask management if they could consider it and they said the same thing. I asked her what I should do and she tried to get me to sign up for a CREDIT CARD! I said no. Flat out no!!!! I shouldn't have to sign up for a freaking credit card for my pet to get care! So I ended up just leaving a check there as a qua lateral with them. I got a phone call and voicemail the next day of them saying that if they don't receive payment in two days they will not see agree to see My dog again! Then they left another what I call unprofessional voicemail saying to either make a phone call with a credit card to pay the balance or just "drop off the cash!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Obviously all they honestly care about is money! So unless you want to spend an arm and a leg for each vet visit even if it's just a routine checkup - DONT go here! Shady.
Attention oriented, friendly, and decently priced veterinary professionals. They have made a good name for themselves and for good reason. Each doctor we have seen has been terrific!
Personal service! Friendly! Quick! Very caring!
Brought furmchu without and appoitment last minute on a Friday night. They were able to see him quickly, get him the shots he needed and now is making a full recovery. They were super nice to him and explained everything in great detail.
All staff were very thorough, and we received a call the next day inquiring as to our pet's condition. Only needed procedures were conducted, with a clear indication of any issues to keep an eye on accompanied by complete documentation.
This is THE best veterinary clinic in the area, hands down. The doctors and staff are excellent. Expert veterinary care throughout life, and the most kind help at the end of life for beloved pets. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Fantastic staff, we have been bringing our puppy here since we got him
Good Hope Animal Hospital provides excellent care with an equally excellent amount of compassion. All staff from reception to veterinarian are exceedingly friendly, courteous, helpful and professional. My prior dog had cancer and they walked side by side with me through her care and provided the most caring end of life care imaginable. I will forever be grateful for their loving hearts during that difficult time and their expertise in caring for my current dog. I highly recommend Good Hope Animal Hospital!!
Have been going to Good Hope Animal Hospital for several years....awesome vets, especially Dr. Sara Michler, she is the main reason I go there. Trust her 100% with my dog Cooper and my previous pets Penny and Blossom. Vet tech Tony Pichler is also fantastic and very knowledgeable and caring. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Love this place!
I switched to this vet after being unhappy at my previous vet. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. All the vets that I have seen have been wonderful, esp Dr Leach! She gets down on the floor with your pup and really takes her time with your pet and with the owner. I have never felt rushed or unheard. I highly recommend Good Hope Animal.
Not very friendly, 50 minute wait after vet tech was in.
I have always had a good experience with my Yorkie whenever I needed a vet. Everyone from the front desk up to the doctors and everyone else you encounter are friendly and make you feel like your pet is of the utmost importance.
Everyone at Good Hope shows that they care about our animals. The doctor spent a lot of time going over everything for our dog that was just diagnosed with diabetes. Since it was our first time dealing with this, they made sure we understood the process and how to administer shots. Being open 7 days a week is a huge bonus and I really like that we don't need to wait a few weeks to get in. Even though I need to drive a little over a half hour to Good hope, it's very much worth it for the care we receive. Highly Recommended!!
Very friendly staff and atmosphere, quick service and reasonable prices for the area
Best vet around. Have never had to question whether the vet’s recommendation was in the best interest of my pet. Doctors are great.
I have been bringing my two cats to Good Hope Animal Hospital for many years now. Two years ago, I had to put my cat, Cuddles, of 19 1/2 years down. She was my baby and the staff knew it. Whenever I needed a vet at Good Hope, they would always make the time to see her. During the last six months of her life and through the process of putting her down, the Dr’s and staff were exceptionally kind, caring, loving and comforting. What more could anyone ask for? Now, I am back to having two cats again and Good Hope Animal Hospital has another patient. I would, without a doubt, recommend Good Hope Animal Hospital to anyone.
Friendly staff and very accommodating for schedules
I rescued a beagle from Kentucky last year who was heart worm positive. I had him treated at Good Hope which was a tough treatment but hey were always there for us. I found out the treatment they gave him resulted in him now being heart worm free! I'm over the moon happy. Great staff! They really know what they are doing! Great job to all docs and staff We thank u from the top to bottom of our hearts no pun intended.
Good Hope Animal Hospital has always been AMAZING with my dog. Their prices are a little high, but I find it worth it because of their very skilled and professional employees. The staff and vets are extremely kind and outgoing, which I find comforting. My dog is actually excited every time we visit (even when he has to get "pokeys").
All they care about is making money. Your pet comes second.
Really appreciated my experience with Dr.London (I believe that's the last name). Good Hope fit me in promptly due to what I thought may be an emergency situation with my pup. He explained the situation to me in a way that I could understand, and helped me to understand all my options, not just the most expensive one. In fact, he advocated for taking the less expensive, but still thorough route, prior to jumping into expensive diagnostics if we didn't need them. After being quoted $1,000 at an ER vet just to diagnose my dog, I was pleasantly surprised with my total cost after my visit to Good Hope. Within a day my dog was acting better, which was not the case after our visit to the ER doc. I'm very happy with my experience here.
I love Dr. Heidecker and Dr. Mickler (not sure if I spelled their names correctly, my apologies if I didn't). When I was a child my parents started taking my bunnies here because it was one of the few vets that were knowledgeable and could treat them. I have always felt that the veterinarians and staff here are compassionate and understanding. Serene, who used to work at the front desk, is one of my favorite people. When my bunny's health was deteriorating she was always there to listen and made me feel better despite the situation. Dr. Mickler's treatment towards him and his condition was fantastic! She did not rush me into making any decisions, but was very honest about what I should anticipate. I now have 2 cats and another bunny that I still bring to Good Hope Animal Hospital.
The first time I came here it was to put my hamster, Miley, down. Today I had to take in Sammy, who had an infected cheek. They got me in asap even though there was no availability. A lot of people don't take such things seriously because of the type of animal it is but Good Hope treated me better than I'd ever expected. Animal lovers grow close to their animals and consider them their kids regardless of what kind of animal it is. Everyone from the front desk receptionist to the nurse to the doctor himself (Dr Weeks) was absolutely amazing in handling both my hamsters in both situations. They were very sympathetic to my feelings in how much I care for these beautiful creatures. I will always come to them if I need help with my 4 legged children. Thank you so much for understanding what its like to love and care for an animal. I really appreciate all that you do!!
I have used Dr Heidecker and his fine staff for 20 years or more. They are the very best in our area. I receive personal and dedicated service for my pets delivered with kindness and love for the animals we bring in. His vet associates are great and his support staff friendly and helpful.
Dr. Heideck and the technician, Tony, we had for our guinea pig were both true to my expectations. I recently adopted a shelter piggie who appears to have a skin condition, along with being afraid of everything. I had questions and wanted the best help for her. They both handled her with care and compassion yet were very thorough with her exam. The medicine dispensed was explained as well as her condition and the expected full recovery. This was my first time here and now my other piggies will be treated here as well. Highly recommend this veterinary hospital.
Dr Michler and staff were very professional and caring with my cat Topper.
About a year ago we switched over from another vet in the area. After several thousand dollars and visit after visit to the other vet for my dog's skin condition, the other vet could not diagnose it. In one visit the vet I saw was able to diagnose my dog's condition, and provide so much useful information for us to get his allergy in control. When we recently adopted two cats from a friend, one of the cats was in need of surgery, and the vets here were able to get him in, and took wonderful care of him. The surgery didn't cost an arm and a leg and we were very, very happy with the way the vet called personally to give us an update on test results done from the surgery. We wouldn't take our animals anywhere else!
Brought my cat Buddy in to Good Hope on recommendation of a neighbor. Awesome experience from start to finish. The young vet we had checked Buddy all over and gave me several helpful suggestions to help keep him healthy. All of the staff were friendly and professional. Buddy and I have found his doctor. Thanks to all who helped to make our visit a positive experience.
Everyone at Good Hope Animal Hospital is so very nice from the moment you walk in. They all take very good care of my dog and I trust them completely. I would and have highly recommended them to any pet owner.
The staff here is exceptional. I have been using Good Hope for 20 plus years, and have never had anything but friendly, courteous, professional service. I highly recommend them to anyone that has pet needs. These are good people. They sincerely care about the furry family members to which they extend their services. Keeping them happy and healthy is what they do.
Just moved here and Dr. Amy took such good care of my Lily, a chocolate Lab at a 10 years young - glad i found them!!
We became part of the Good Hope family after the infamous "Jeep Rescue" of 30 cats in early July 2012. We were so impressed with how the staff immediately mobilized to care for these cats - some just babies, some nursing mothers, all were a mess from being jammed into the back of that jeep together - and spread the word to find homes and/or foster families for these cats. We adopted the last two boys just 4 days later and are so thankful that Good Hope Animal Hospital has been providing care and medicine pro bono (including a neuter) for these little guys. We would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a veterinary care facility.
Friendly caring staff, has been taking care of my animals for many years
Dr London really took the time to talk about our dog, even over the phone after our visit. He simplified our care and was straight forward.
Great staff who are always friendly and helpful!
The facility was very nice and clean and the front desk lady's were very nice. However, I took my dog to get 3 shots that were overdue and the pricing was only in the $100's, which was not bad at all. Well after my visit, my billed racked up to the $300's, closer to $400 and I didn't even get one of the overdue shots; I got these unneccesary treatments that I could have just done at home. I think they were just after my money.. Also, the vet herself didn't even care to learn my dog's name, she just kept saying "this dog". Not very impressed.
My wife and I have been taking our Shetland sheepdog, Molly, to Good Hope Animal Hospital for a few years now. I've had so many good experiences there, that I've decided to stop procrastinating and just sit down and write this review. There are a lot of little things I like, of course. They're ultra-convenient, they can usually get me in pretty quickly when I need to, and I normally don't have much of a wait, if any. Though, I'm not too bothered if I have to wait a few minutes, because I've come to realize that they do have emergencies to attend to from time to time. (It happens, and it's understandable. It's a medical facility, after all, not a fast-food restaurant.) I also like that the technicians and the vet (Dr. Heidecker) take time to address my questions and concerns. And they think ahead, too. They've given me a lot of advice on preventive care so that Molly lives a happier, longer life. I appreciate that they give me tips to prevent problems, even though it means I probably won't have a need to visit them as often. And I suppose that right there says it all. They're obviously more concerned with the health of my dog than they are the health of their bottom line. Even when it comes to treatments or procedures, they've always explained my options and given me choices. I've never felt like anything was being pushed on me. And speaking of the bottom line, if you're reading this, you might also be interested in their pricing. I've used other vet practices in the past, and what I've seen is that Good Hope is not the cheapest place, nor is it the most expensive. They're somewhere in the middle, which I think is just right. I worry when a business doesn't charge enough - I worry that I'm getting inferior service. (As they say, you get what you pay for.) But naturally, I don't like paying the most either. So, I've found a good balance with Good Hope. But truth be told, I'd still take Molly there even if they were the most expensive. Our dog is part of our family, and the care she gets there is well worth any price. There are many other positive things I can say, too, but I don't want to write a book here. Overall, I'd say that if you're looking for quality care at a reasonable price, and if you appreciate warm, down-to-earth people who will treat you and your pet exceptionally well, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better vet practice than Good Hope. I recommend them to everyone I know.
We are on our 5th Springer Spaniel, and have been patients of Good Hope Animal Hospital for many, many years, All of our Springers have lived to between the ages of 13 and 15 , and have had very happy lives thanks to the expetise of Dr. Rob Heidecker. Good Hope is a state of the art animal hospital, and they specialize in laser surgery that is non invasive. This leads to a faster recovery and a much easier time at home for the pet and the pet owners.. We love our dogs and want nothing but the best for them, that is why we chose Good Hope Animal Hospital.
Wonderful staff and everyone is really nice. I know I'm a tough customer and Good Hope has put up with me for years. The best care for you family! Rigby loves Dr Leach and recommends Good Hope to all his friends!
It is a very nice office, very calming environment. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The vet and vet tech were kind and gentle with my nervious dog. Overall a good experience.
Prices are high and try to do unecessary procedures depending on vet not all of them staff nice and hours are good
I take my 2 cats to Dr Leach. She is wonderful. She always goes that extra step to assure the well being of my cats. And the rest of the staff is very helpful and caring. I love Good Hope and will never go anywhere else.
This office charges for everything, including needle disposal. The vets don’t bother to learn the owners’ names. Majorly overrated.
Wonderful! Very good to our sick doggy.
They take care of you and your animals. They treat us all like family
It has taken some time to write this because we lost our beloved boy on July 30th at Good Hope. When you are sitting in the lobby and you see the room labeled, Compassion Room, you know what it means and you just hope you are never on the other side of that door. Six days later we were. What I can tell you exists on the other side of that door is the most tasteful and dignified euthanasia room, process and staff you could ever imagine. Even an exit door directly from that room for your weeping devastated family. We lost our beloved dauschund Jeter but he fought hard for four days at the hospital and Dr. Leach and Logan and the staff fought with him. To every person that had anything to do with Jeters care, that carried him from one place to another, or touched him in any way we are profoundly grateful to you. Thank you Dr. Leach and your staff for all you tried to do for Jeter. It was worth the fight. We are completely broken but we wanted you to know how grateful we are for your care and kindness to him. He was everything to us. Thank you. The Donato Family
Top notch place and STAFF!
We have had experiences at a few different vet offices, and Good Hope by far is the best. I have truly loved every doc we have worked with there, every tech, and every staff member. They are knowledgeable and friendly and demonstrate true caring for you and your pet.
great group of people.
Good Hope has been our vet since we got our dog Luna. Luna has had the best vet care possible thanks to good hope. On December 19, 2016 Luna began walking with a limp. We were unsure of what happened however we could defiantly tell that she was not feeling well. A trip to the vet revealed that Luna had torn her ACL and needed surgery to repair the damage. I was in complete shock to know that she needed surgery, then the financial aspect kicked in. I did not know what to do as we were in no position to afford this surgery. I had even thought about putting our not even 2 year old Pitbull down because I was so overwhelmed with panic and what we were going to do. Thanks to Good Hope and there Paws for Hope Fund our dog was able to receive the surgery she needed. We were able to pay a SIGNIFICANTLY reduced cost for the surgery. If it was not for this program I don't know where we would be today. Dr. Heidecker's team is wonderful! Thank you Dr. Heidecker for your donation of surgical time for Luna. Heather thank you for helping me get through this very difficult time as well as all of the other staff members who have helped with Luna's care. If you are looking for excellent quality vet care with compassion, caring and kindness Good Hope is the one! There is no other vet that I would trust in the care of my dog.
This place will always go above and beyond for you and your Pet.. My dog Maverick got really sick and i found out he had gotten limes disease and i really thought i was going to loose him.. Then juat in the last 8 months we have recently moved to Dallas TX, and we still needed help with Flea and Tix meds.. They love your pet and want nothing but thw best for them. I love this place
The nurses are very friendly. I always have a good conversation with them when I'm there. The doctors are adept and do their job swiftly. I recommend Dr. Heidecker and Dr. Kinetski. They both have a wonderful "bedside" manner. They are very affordable.
Very polite friendly staff who show their love of animals while caring for our Basset Hound. She is on the shy side, so it takes her a little to warm up to new faces. She does well when we have to take her for an appointment.
This staff really cares about your loved pet and you! My dog was in pain and needed to be seen immediately. They helped me through the situation and got my dog in within an hour from when I called. Thank you for helping me and my baby in my desperate cry for help.
Dr Heidecker and the staff of GHAH ROCK!!
I have never been disappointed in the care received for our dog. From the front desk to the back room, every single person has been caring, concerned and considerate. I have always felt we get top notch care and consideration each and every visit for the past 9 years.
I LOVE this vet's office. They have some of the best "pocket pet" vets in the area. I had a pregnant guinea pig in and just more recently, a pet rat with a broken leg and a need for a partial tail amputation. The vet was kind and knew exactly how to handle these animals. Though a bit pricey, with the recommendation of the Care Credit card, my visit was completely affordable. Everyone there is loving and thorough. I always will love this place!
Good Hope changed my opinion on what to expect from a Vet experience. After meeting Dr. Rob and his wife Jen, he was so helpful and gave great advise for my sick dog before she was even a patient. After months of poor service from our previous Vet, we chose to join the Good Hope Family just in time for another puppy! They all welcomed us with open arms and hearts. They remember us and are mindful of our time. I could not ask for a better place to care for my best friends!
Great Experience all around.
I called your office twice last week, leaving two voicemails and sent an email. I left detailed messages about my name, why I was calling and the number to reach me, same with the email. I was trying to speak to someone about transferring records to a new animal hospital. My calls were never returned, nor was my email answered. Disappointing customer service.
Wonderful. Had Dr. Brehm. Simply wonderful.
My dogs Zeus and Rosco are just like my children and I was nervous to start a new vet but making the move to switch was the best decision I could have made. Thank you so much to all of the staff for making this crazy dog mom very happy!
Good care but push things that your pet may not need
Great Animal Hospital were all the doctors have your animals best interests in mind.
