Gladwyne Animal Hospital has always provided the most compassionate and thorough care of all four of our dogs. No matter which vet I see at the clinic, they are thoughtful and considerate and explore every possibility when diagnosing and caring for our animals. The different vets at the clinic together form a team that can cover every aspect of pet care, and I very much appreciate that. Their excellence in care is not limited to the veterinarians, however. The vet techs and front desk staff are also excellent, whether in person or on the phone. Carrie Sutor has put together and manages an excellent team.

This place is beyond wonderful. They always take top notch care of my Millie. Staff is so kind and gentle with her. They have even called to check in on Millie after a visit just to make sure she was doing well. Doctors are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I switched Millie to this office after bad experiences with other vets in the area who use too much anesthesia, are too aggressive with treatment and over charge for nonsense. So thankful that there is none of that at Gladwyne Animal Hospital.

My dog can be difficult to handle in small spaces with other dogs present. I was so appreciative that front desk staff suggested that the vet tech could administer an oral vaccine outside. Beyond Fantastic! My 15 year old dog had an emergency and Dr. Sutor arranged to examine my dog before going into surgery. Dr. Sutor is clinically brilliant and she knew exactly what was wrong with my dog (based on an examination). She ordered an X-ray and blood work to confirm her diagnosis and she was spot on correct. Everyone who works at Gladwyne Animal Hospital was beyond caring and holding my hand through a couple of very scary days. My dog stopped eating and I could not get her to take her medicine. and I brought her over to Gladwyne Animal Hospital twice a day where a doctor or tech could give my dog her daily medicine. I can not express the gratitude for the doctors and the entire staff for helping my dog. You will never find another Vet hospital that will take care of your pets like Gladwyne Animal Hospital. Every doctor is caring and compassionate. My dog receives better care than some humans receive from their primary doctors. If you are thinking of switching Vets (like I did 2 years ago) clearly it was best decision that I ever made.

Dr. Sutor and the front desk staff were very friendly and professional and Kiera received a very thorough exam. Our previous vet left Ardmore Animal Hospital so I will be bringing our other Jack Russell to Gladwyne Animal Hospital as well.

I absolutely LOVE Gladwyne Animal Hospital! The entire staff is amazing and always so kind and accommodating. My 4 year old yellow lab, Penny Lane, gets a little nervous during visits but everyone always tries to make her feel at home. When she was a puppy, we were going to a different veterinarian but that all changed when she suffered an injury. She was playing outside, running with a small stick in her mouth and took a tumble. The stick got lodged in the back of her throat and I freaked out. Called our (then) vet's office and they wouldn't see us for 3+ hours. Luckily, I knew Jess in the front office so we called her and she got us right in. That flexibility and care immediately changed my mind on which hospital we should be going to. I had all her records sent over to Gladwyne that day and we became new patients and never looked back. I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone!

THE BEST VET WE HAVE EVER HAD. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We are dog people. We have had dogs for over 25 years. Gladwyne Animal Hospital has been our Vet for over 12 years, since moving to PA. We have had 4 dogs in that duration. When the prior owner retired and moved to SC a few years ago, we were devastated. We were unsure if the 'new owners' would be as attentive, caring, or tender with our pets ( and us). We had nothing to worry about. We have had healthy dogs and sick dogs over the years and when you have dogs who are members of your household, your heart skips when they get hurt or ill. Dr Carrie Souter at GAH, not only exceeded our expectations but goes far beyond.... She is excellent. We value her expertise, care and amazing personalized care. Her attentive follow-up is authentic, consistent and appreciated. Our dogs get better care than we do at our doctors offices! We now have 2 black labs, Harry and George, One senior and one (large) puppy. Dr Souter has walked us through the many health hurdles with both dogs. She has done surgery on both and the care, treatment , follow up were amazing; better than with humans. She explains what is being done, why it is being done, your choices, and what to expect. She is extremely smart and precise. Her expertise is exceptional. She has been right every time and we trust her completely. She loves our dogs as much as we do. She cares for them as if they were a human. We have had emergency situations with our crazy puppy and both times had to go to an emergency care ER for care. Dr. Souter was not only interested in being in the loop but involved each step of the way. She even did the follow up care with tremendous support and ongoing treatment. We used to be 10 minutes away from GAH and since moved out to Devon. There are plenty of 'other' vets between Gladwyne and Devon, but we would never imagine using anyone else. It is worth the extra time to drive to GAH. We cannot say enough about the attentive, expert, knowledgable, medical care provided by GAH. The receptionist, the attendants, and the doctors all know your name, your pets name and your history. You are not a number or a stranger. It is not like other vets, where they have no clue who you are. GAH is courteous and friendly. They are patient, kind, and helpful. We can go on and on about examples of why GAH should get ' BEST VET in PHILLY' EVERY YEAR!!!

I love this vet hospital and always take my fur-baby here, even though there's another vet closer to my home. The staff is always so friendly and lovely with my pet. What I like most is that they give you a list of checkup and vaccine due-dates on each receipt, as well as sending email reminders (if you want them) for any missed or overdue. The only downside is the very steep driveway (not a problem for me, but I can see it being an issue for very low-profile cars).

Very friendly, well equipped, and ready to help us whenever we ask. We had been going to another local Vet for 10+ years, and when we lost our pup we thought it time to re-evaluate out options. We were not feeling the love at the old vet any more - it had just grown too large and nobody knew us anymore. So, just like we selected our Pediatrician, I called many vets, spoke with many people at front desks, and read lots of reviews. GAH fit best with us. They are smaller, not tiny, and can dedicate time to each and every one of their animals. While we have only been to Gladwyne Vet twice so far, they seem to know us already. Know our new puppy, and how we care for him. I'm fond of the fact that they are modern in their use of an app to help with scheduling, records, and reminders. So far, we are very happy!

Best vet we have been to in the past five years. We have an active cat whose nail trimming has been very challenging. One of her nails overgrown and touches the pad. Dr. James Springer not only gave her a careful examination but also resolves the nail problem immediately. extremely knowledgeable and professional vet, and get things done super fast. Honestly, I couldn’t possibly be happier with my experience at Gladwyne Vet. I’m excited to switch my other two fur babies to Gladwyne because of how warm everyone there was, and how diligent and helpful the doctor and tech were. We have seen I think every doc in the office and all have had wonderful bedside manners. Every level of staff at Gladwyne Animal Hospital is friendly, helpful and great with me and my dog. I wish I could give more than 5 stars . My Boxers have been a patient with Dr Sutor for about 19/20 years . (all five )They were patients of hers before she opened her own hospital. I will tell you everyone there is loving and kind. Their knowledge and compassion is exceptional. My first Boxer Named Roxy had heath issues. She hung long as possible. It was time to let her go. I remember the compassion,love and gentleness in Dr Surors voice and face when we let her go. I could see the love and trust Roxy had in her eyes for Dr Sutor. One of my Boxers Phoebe had over 12 or more Mass cell tumors removed at different times. All were found by Dr Sutor and removed. She live almost till 11 which is long for a Boxer . One day I needed an emergency visit for Odie Dr Sutor was not in the office. I was told that Dr Lew Springer could see him . I was not used to another doctor, but had no choice. Well let me say Dr .Springer is a fabulous doctor. His manner is priceless. He is gentle and kind . He has also treated Willow my 4 year old Boxer . I have see this man sit on the floor with her to make her comfortable. Now just 2 weeks ago. Dr Springer saved my almost 10 year old Odie’s life. During a routine exam. He felt a tumor on Odie’s Spleen. Not good !! If it was not discovered it would have burst open and he would have bled to death. Ultra sounds performed , X-rays and Blood work . This needed out ASAP I was recommend to Metropolian Hosp and it was removed. Thank goodness it was benign. The odds were against Odie . But if Dr Springer did not detect it , Odie would not have survive . The next day Dr Sutor called my house to see how Odie was . She was away and heard about Odie . Need I say more!!? I could go on and on about them I love them Jen

I truly feel like my pets are cared about and loved by the entire staff every time I walk through the door, while the medical care is also top notch. Dr. Carrie Sutor and the staff at Gladwyne Animal Hospital are, simply put, amazing! I am so happy that Dr. Sutor and Dr. Wellens (both graduates of U. Penn Vet. School) took over, updated and improved Gladwyne Animal Hospital, when beloved old timer, Dr. Genzer retired several years ago. My 3 dogs have been patients of Gladwyne Animal Hospital since that time and as you can imagine I am there often. The entire staff go above and beyond giving my dogs the best experience possible when they are there. Dr. Sutor is a fabulous diagnostician, with a caring bedside manner who is never too busy to listen to your concerns. Also, I believe there prices to be quite reasonable compared to some of the other veterinary practices in the area. Give Gladwyne Animal Hospital a try! You will not be disappointed.

We have had such an issue with finding a vet suitable for our fearful lab. We had a local vet charge us for a physical but never performed a physical bc she wouldnt get near my dog even with a muzzle on. She said next time they would use anesthesia first to do a physical. Past vets have made us wrestle and muzzle our 95lb dog to do vaccines and exams. Another vet told us our dog needed anti-anxiety meds. Anyway, we had stopped taking her to vets. But tonight my husband said Dr. Lew springer walked our dog outside, gave treats and position our dog and owner in ways that our dog wouldnt shy away from him and he examined and gave a vaccine without a fight or a muzzle. Clearly these people understand dogs but most importantly took the effort to get to know a fearful dog. My husband says he is so impressed and im so happy to go back to regular vet exams. The receptionist that i spoke with prior to appointment was great too and told me abt the fear free approach that they use which convinced me to make an appointment. Thank you!!
