I saw the vets at this practice for over 25 years , having followed them from their previous places of employment to this establishment when they founded it. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The office staff is fantastic the vet techs are kind. the doctors are loving and caring, not to mention exceptional at what they do. They have even gone so far as to coordinate end-of-life care at a variety of specialists for my pets without sending me a bill for that service. When I pushed the issue, I was told by Dr. sclarsky that this is one of the reasons they founded their own practice...so they could provide the kind of lifespan care to the pets in their charge that they wanted to. when the time has come to put down my pets because treatments were no longer effective or viable, they have been unfailingly kind and accommodating, even shedding their own tears. When my pets have had to go to emergency hospitals in the evening or weekends, Garden State animal hospital has always called me immediately upon receipt of the report from said external hospital to follow up and make sure my loved one was doing well. Sadly, we moved 40 minutes away and my dog gets car sick. If it weren't for that, we'd still be using this vet today. You cannot go wrong with these folks.

Dr. Ball has been seeing my pet for some time now and she's been great. The entire staff is very nice and professional. I love the efficiency of getting the reports digitally and when I ever ask for any other info, it's promptly sent out. Fair pricing, many reminders on various items and an overall efficient office keeps everything running smoothly. Vets are very knowledgeable which matters most.

I had high hopes for this place. No more. Broken toe WITH a wound on a Greyhound: first doctor wanted to splint. By the way she made the wound worse by shoving clippers between the dog's toes. My better judgment said no to splinting. The doctor gave me an attitude saying "the toe will heal crooked". The second doctor at this same place then wanted to AMPUTATE in order to speed healing time! I finally just took the animal to Dutton Rd. in Phila. The outcome: fully healed in 2 months - all toes still attached. I took my second dog in for itching or something. I wind up with a $1000 estimate for tooth extractions. The reason I initially went in didn't even get addressed. Oh, and another doctor at the practice said the teeth did not need to be removed!

I needed to get my cat in for an emergency euthanasia but had never been there before. They told me to come right over on a Sunday. From the front desk to the nurse to Dr. Lach they made me feel comfortable and were very compassionate. Dr. Lach was so sweet and warm. I cant say enough good things about this vets office. Just went here after a poor experience at another animal hospital that did provide the proper care for my canine. Garden State Animal Hospital in Cherry Hill, New Jersey provided true quality care at a decent price. The Veterinarian and her assistant dove into action and had their hands all over my canine. The Veterinarian aspirated a cyst that was of concern and addressed the vomiting. Time spent was about 30 mins to 45 mins. They sold me on quality, communication and the well-being for my animal. Stay away! Granted they do have specialist that no one has typically in the area. Yet, the Speicalist often leave and or replaced. Problem, the in-house staff are not up to pare because they aren’t receiving the proper training. One small mistake can kill your pet, as it has happen to my family and I. I’ve taken my pets on numerous occasions and one thing that hasn’t change, they want to be paid in advance regardless! You call that service?

Dr. Fischer is the best diagnostician and vet I have found in South Jersey. She is compassionate, thorough, and experienced. I believe she gave my 14 year old dog a new lease (no pun intended) on life. My dog had digestive problems for years with vomiting and loose stools. She discovered that he had a baseball size tumor on his spleen and removed it with his spleen. Knowing how concerned we were about the chance of cancer, she was kind enough to call me while on vacation to give me the fortunate results of the biopsy. I now have a cat with diabetes. She is working with me to control the disease and helping me find the most cost effective medicines. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Fischer, except that she is the only vet I trust with for my pets' care.

The entire staff was very friendly & helpful. Also the prices were good, pretty much the same as the vet I normally go to. The next day my cat was feeling better and back to his normal self! The vets and techs here love and care for my dog like their own. Her name is ophelia, and every time we go in they sing the "Ophelia" song from the radio to her. They're less expensive than a lot of vets I've used, but their service is top notch. If your pet is phobic, like mine, or aggressive, you can wait in your car and they'll come get you when your room is free. I especially love that the vast majority of vets and techs here are female. In almost 8 years I've seen only one male vet, one male tech, both of whom were excellent and had clearly earned their positions. The receipts show the due dates for upcoming vaccinations and tests to make sure your pet is as healthy as possible. I will never go anywhere else.

Just started going here a year ago. The front desk staff is attentive and welcoming. The wait time for the doctors is reasonably short. Drs. Fisher, Schlarsky and Ball are fantastic clinicians. They always call or email to follow up on my pets and report on lab results. The price of the services is very reasonable. I have been to most vet clinics in Philly and South Jersey and GSAH, comparably, has lower prices. I continue to go to this clinic for my beloved pets

These are the doctors I've been looking for since they left the old Cherry Hill practice. I've watched these ladies in action from both sides of the table and they are wonderful. Experienced, caring, great diagnosticians - I can't express how happy I am to have doctors for my pets that I can trust completely. We've been in and out the past few months with puppies and getting some health testing done on our young adults. Every visit has been handled first by the wonderful front desk staff and on to the Docs and the great techs and assistants who work with the doctors. They also have a wonderful doc who is more into holistic methods of healing if that's what you prefer. Thanks, Ladies, for being there and for taking such great care of my canine crew.

Created this account just to write this review. I feel it is my obligation to warn others of this business before coming here (I say business because that is what this place is, first and foremost). Brought my 8-month old beagle in on multiple occassions to treat chronic diarrhea. At first, they informed us he was infected with giardia and to keep him on chicken and rice while taking a medicine, Metronidazole, for 7 straight days, 2x daily. The problem persisted so we went in for a follow-up. The next doctor to treat our dog said he shouldn't be on chicken and rice any longer, the exact opposite of the first doctor's advice. She prescribed the same medicine for another 7 days, claiming it was our environment's fault for reinfection and that it should clear up. The next day, we get a call informing us that he in fact had whipworms, but never mentioning giardia again. The metronidazole probably actually prolonged a proper diagnosis, allowing the whipworm to infect our dog farther. Instead of prescribing a series of specialized medication over the next 2-3 months as stated on most, if not all, veterinary websites, we were given a 5-day treatment in powder form of Panacur for our Beagle and were told it would be a quick fix; that he'd back to normal in no time. Now I sit here at 1:00 am a week later contemplating taking him to the emergency hospital, as there is now blood visible in his stools, extreme straining, and urgency to go. Along with these symptoms, he has begun vomiting, and does not seem interested in fluids or hydration. Instead of caring for our dog's well-being, Garden State Animal Hospital took it upon themselves to make sure we were scheduled for $100+ visits in which nothing was accomplished and he was misdiagnosed and mistreated. I would never take another animal here under any circumstance, and would urge strong caution to any others without an unlimitted bank account to follow suit. Don't let the wonderful ladies in the front fool you, because they really are the kindest ladies in the world. The doctors behind them are inexperienced, misinformed, and are not on the same page, creating chaos and confusion pertaining to our pet's health. A few month's prior to this ordeal, we brought him in for chronic ear scratching. He was prescribed medicine for an ear infection that didn't exist after the doctor told us she couldn't see anything in his ear. tldr; Garden State Animal Hospital will take your money and tell you what you want to hear

I travel 45 minutes to come here. The most talented group of Veterinarians I have ever met. Dr Sarah Ball is my go to vet. She also does acupuncture as well as being a talented diagnostician and surgeon. I also feel comfortable with the other Vets when she is not available. They have never refused me when I have had an emergency. They were very comforting during end of life situations. They will mail medication to save me a trip. The techs and office staff are very friendly and helpful.

Garden State Animal Hospital is a wonderful and caring practice. My senior dog (Roxi) was a patient there for the past few years. They have always been very helpful and responsive to all concerns and questions. My dog recently had to be euthanized due to a terminal illness and everyone in the practice (front desk staff, techs and doctors) were so understanding and compassionate throughout Roxi's entire care. I would definitely use this practice in the future when I am a dog owner again.

I would absolutely recommend this vet to anybody! I do have to say my initial experience was not great when I had Dr. Rachel Sclarsky, who seems to be one of their newer doctors. She rushed through the appt and was not very helpful in making me feel comfortable, that she even cared or that she knew what she was talking about. I decided to give this place another shot and ask for a different doctor and I am very pleased that I did. Dr. Lisa Trachtenberg has ended being the best vet I've ever gone to. She is caring, thorough and makes it a pleasant experience. I am limited financially and she took the time to work around it, while also making sure we attended to my dog's needs. She always follows up when she says she's going to and she is the first vet that my dog actually enjoys visiting. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating as well. I typically don't write reviews but felt that Dr. Lisa Trachtenberg deserved a five star.

Excellent doctors and support staff. We originally saw Dr Amy Sclarsky with our first dog. We have seen Dr Rachel Sclarsky, Dr Amy's daughter. Excellent like her mom. Just recently we saw Dr Waltzer, such a caring person. The Tech Asst, Rachel, informed me that they now have price match when I was going to order per meds online. Good deal! Highly recommend!

ive been a client of this office since the original owner, and when he retired and I saw who had bought his business, I was more than happy to stay as their client. The new group of vets and staff are all dedicated to our beloved animals wellbeing, and all my animals have been treated with nothing but love and tenderness. Garden State Animal Hospital is the best. They are truly concerned about the well being of your pet. They do what is right for your pet. You can always get an appointment if needed quickly. Dr J. Left and Dr. S. Ball-Garino are excellent. I have never had a bad experience there. All of the vets spend time with both you and your pet. If you call, they respond back in a timely manner. If your pet has an emergency that they cannot take care of, they help you get to a facility that can help you. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Ruth MacGregor

We've been taking our Greyhound to Garden State for over two years and have been consistently impressed with it. The techs and office staff are great, and go out of their way to help, and to fit you in. Not all of the doctors have the best bedside manner, but the ones that do are awesome. We especially like Dr. Lach and Dr. Leff. They are super knowledgeable and always take the time to listen to our questions and provide thorough responses.

I am a novice dog owner. Everyone I have dealt with at GSAH has been patient explaining things to me and has given excellent attention to my v sweet dog. I have seen this most clearly regarding my dog's recent surgery. (She swallowed part of a toy she had chew off.) The procedure went smoothly. The several times I had concerns in the following days and weeks, via phone call or a couple visits, we got prompt, helpful care. I am grateful.
