I went to Conchester Animal Hospital in July 2014 to have our dog spayed. We chose this place because they accepted our Friends of Animals neutering certificate we received when we adopted our dog. From when I walked in, all employees were extremely helpful and friendly. From the front desk I could overhear a veterinarian working with a pet in another room. He sounded very caring and patient which gave me a good feeling about this place. The service itself was done well and our dog was monitored overnight. The surgery seemed to be performed well and appeared to be somewhat minimally invasive so dog did not even need a cone. A small billing error was made on their part and without me even noticing it, they immediately called me the next day saying they would credit my card back for the error they made. Other places might not have been as honest.

Drs. Hoffman and Harvey are both highly qualified and caring veterinarians. Dr. Tracy was great as well but has retired. I have a 12 year old Afghan Hound with several health issues and the above doctors are also owners and seen to care very much, in spite of their sometimes busy practice. If your pet needs special attention, I would see Harvey and Hoffman only. There are 2 less experienced veterinarians there that are good for routine or well check visits. Great local veterinarians who are badly needed in the area.

Dr. Harvey is the best vet you could possibly wish for. Amazingly caring and responsive. Won't put your pet through unnecessary tests or procedures. My dog passed away unexpectedly at home this past summer. I emailed Dr. H on a Sunday to tell him, not expecting to hear back until Monday's work hours. He called me at home that Sunday night to talk me off the ledge. That's how much he cares about you and your pet. I've been going to Conchester since 1975 and can't imagine going anywhere else even though it's a long drive. (Dr. Hoffman is great too!)

We have taken my dog here multiple times because he has been having trouble breathing. They told us he has allergies and not to worry. We took him to get a second opinion and here’s what he actually has: a collapsed trachea, a pneumonia, and a mouth infection so severe it is blocking his nose and he requires surgery. A friend had a similar experience. She took her dog in multiple times for the runs and they told her not to worry. The dog just passed from cancer. If you want your pets to die take them here. If you love them, take them elsewhere.

Dr. Lombardo is the most caring Vet I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He correctly diagnosed our precious Buffi when two other visits to different Vets yielded nothing. You can absolutely tell that he loves the animals that he works with. He was also patient with the adults in the room. Would highly recommend him to everyone.

Very good with our Cats and have also had Dogs cared for over the years. Friendly staff and Dr's always willing to answer questions. We have used Conchester Vet for about 10 years. Dr. Hoffman is the best. She loves the fur babies she cares for. She has helped me bring some of our fur babies back from the brink of death when they were first born and has helped us feel better when we've made the sorrowful decision to choose the Rainbow Bridge when some of our seniors were ready.
