I will never go back!!! I had to take my 3 small children, all under 5, to my dog's appointment and the doctor and assistant could not have been more rude!!! The kids were being kids, nothing crazy just not being statues, and they both said how disturbed the other patients were and the assistant even tried to reprimand my son, for holding the dog's leash. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

LOVE!! I have a male, ridiculously mean-to-people- kitty, Buckets. Dr. Jill is so dedicated to helping him and her staff really goes out of their way to accommodate us when he has to come for visits. Our Daisy mama, is a sweet itty, bitty, kitty and her Doc is Dr. Brett and he is fantastic. The entire staff is still just as nice and accommodating to her. They love on them and the kisses are free :-) I LOVE how they treat my babies (even the naughty one) as their own and sincerely love them! As a pet parent I am tickled how they are treated and the support I get as a pet mommy. I literally can call them at any time and they aren't pushy to bring me in to hit me with a HUGE bill. When I need to come in I'm normally a mess if not routine and they are so understanding and the fee is never overwhelming. A MORE than fair vet, in my opinion. They are pet parents and people, not just clinicians. They are so open to communication and they offer sound advice as well as textbook perfect answers and can explain in very simple terms. I am more than thrilled (if you couldn't tell). Everyone is amazing! I sincerely could go on forever! They are just amazing!!!

We've been going here since we got our dog, Sherlock. This past week, he broke a tooth and had to have it removed. As we're leaving for vacation next week (yikes!!), Dr. Jill was able to squeeze us in for a Saturday surgery. She really went above and beyond the call of duty to get this done for us and our puppy! I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years. This was a great place when the father was there. He was fair and honest. My current 10 year old dog has a chronic health issue (ears & arthritis) and I can't get them to refill a Rx without being charged for a visit plus the high cost of pet meds. Go to PAWS across the street.

I've been bringing my dogs here for over 10 yrs. I don't like there blah attitude. I have to ask the vet to check her out, I just thought your spending hundreds of $why can't they be more concerned or empathy, to much $aand not enough compassion. My dog was brought in as emergency and still made me wait hrs to be seen. I hate the thought of her getting sick or need to see a Dr. If you don't have all the money they want, they won't see your pet.

Be mindful when selecting a veterinarian!! Do Not use "Dr. Nicole Chacoski. She lacks compassion and empathy for animals. During an examination of my 11 years old cat she fail to approach him in a gentle way. When he began to hiss and tense-up she instructed her asst to grab a muzzle and blanket. Dr. Chacoski never once explained me what she was going to do. She never attempted to comfort, engage or even talk to my cat in order to defuse his anxiety. Instead, she threw the blanket over his entire body including his face, used her body weight to apply pressure holding my cat down as he struggled. I was mortified! I immediately stepped in and stopped this insensitive act. I've never seen a doctor treat an animal in this manner. Dr. Chacoski's assistant was super kind and helpful. The staff at BLVD animal hospital are great!! But this Doctor should not be caring for animals in my opinion.

My kitty ~ my B.B. ~ was INCREDIBLY sick and depressed, staying in my closet and nearly starving himself. At 12, I was EXTRA worried about his chances. That was in June of 2018. Today ~ he is happier, healthy and more vibrant than EVER. I am blessed to have discovered BOULEVARD ANIMAL HOSPITAL staff ~ and Dr. Nicolle Chacosky ~ for saving my purr-fect boy. Warning: DO NOT take your pets here!!! Today Saturday August 10th 2019 around 12:50pm I dropped my mother off with our small pet dog she was having trouble breathing and we feared it was something serious they turned my mother away very cruel of them very unprofessional very uncaring my mother and father drove our pet to the 24-hour animal hospital after boulevard animal hospital rejected to see our pet to at least take a look to make sure shes okay they are careless and absolutely have no regard for the well being of pets they don't care.

Please read if you are going or considering going to Boulevard Animal Hospital. I took many pets there over the past 30 years, until now. On June 7th, Jamie was taken to Boulevard Animal Hospital at 1913 Grant Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia and was seen by Dr. Nicolle Chacosky, VMD. She was taken there because for a week or so we had noticed she was constantly licking at her paws. They had become red and irritated, losing some hair and bleeding off and on. Dr. Chacosky looked at her and said she had a skin infection. It was nothing to worry about, and with some antibiotics, steroids, eye ointment, pain killers, medicated baths, and time, she would be as good as new. On June 18th, one of our other dogs stepped on one of her front paws and broke it open. The following day, we took Jamie back to Boulevard Animal Hospital and she was once again seen by Dr. Chacosky. On this visit, we were told that there must have been an abscess in the foot and the other dog stepping on it must have just broke it open. We asked about the area on her neck and were told that it was part of the infection and it was just going to take some time to heal. Jamie was given an additional antibiotic, increased steroids again, more pain killers, and continue the baths. On June 27th, Jamie's neck and chest began bleeding and the sores were seeping what looked like puss. Once again, we called Boulevard Animal Hospital and took Jamie to be seen on June 28th. On this visit, Dr. Chacosky did a $15 skin scrape and told us that Jamie actually had Demodex Mites. The Dr. stated that she did not test for that initially because she had never seen a case that severe before. The Dr. also stated that the use of steroids can actually worsen Demodex Mites. The Dr. stated that Jamie could not just come directly off the high dose, she had to be weened off over the next week. She received additional antibiotics, was told to continue with the baths, and was given a Nexgard Chewable to treat the mites which have now been going unchecked and aided by steroids for about a month. On July 1st, we came downstairs shortly after, we found that Jamie had died on the family room floor. We said goodbye, wrapped Jamie in a blanket and took her to Boulevard Animal Hospital where she was later cremated. We were told that she probably had a heart attack. What actually happened is that Dr. Chacosky and Boulevard Animal Hospital were completely incompetent and neglected to do a simple test that could have saved Jamie. The Dr. then gave Jamie a medicine that actually worsened her condition. Finally, with Jamie's weakened condition, and lowered immune system from the steroids, they prescribed Nexgard. If you search Nexgard, you will see numerous cases of it causing seizures and killing dogs. A number of Veterinarians will not even use it because of the risks associated with it and a number of local Vets have since said they would not have given it in conjunction with high dose steroids. I have gone to Boulevard Animal Hospital for nearly three decades. Needless to say, my three decade run is over. The fact that Dr. Brett Geffen who has treated many of my animals could come up with no answer other then I'm not sure I would have done anything different is a joke. His Dr. killed a dog in three weeks and he may have done the same. Sounds like either a cover story for Dr. Incompetent or maybe Dr. Brett wasn't as good as I thought if these results are something he would have duplicated. Dr. Chacosky wants to say underlying conditions in her excuses. Jamie had her physical 2 months before and got a clean bill of health. If you look up Demodex Mites, the underlying condition was the steroids that she prescribed without doing a $15 test to save my dog.

Probably the worst animal hospital. So my wife was told over the phone that the doc wasn’t going to be in the office these certain time slots. So naturally she goes during the time he was supposed to be there only to not be greeted and given the cold treatment. There were 5 girls just sitting there acting irritated that she was in there. Then was told that the docs not there. Now this would have been ok if we just did a walk in but this was told to us over the phone. Then they never called back with the urine test results. We had to follow up. We then had to go back down to pick up meds that I found on petmeds for $2. They charged us $59 for not even a quarter of a bottle. On top of this, when my husband went there to pick up the meds, they again just sat there chitchatting and didn’t even acknowledge that he was standing there. Only when making eye contact with one of them was when they decided to help him. They are rude and are more worried about over charging folks for unnecessary stuff. We were burnt before from this place but thought it might have been an oversight on our part but now this is the last straw. If you like being treated as a second class citizen and overpaying then this is the place for you.

I love this place. They cared for my three cats, one of which is diabetic, as though they were their own. When my cat was suffering from diabetes, they gave me their mobile numbers to test his blood sugar hourly throughout the weekend. My same cat was put down by them and they were so thoughtful and kind while we were there. They NEVER OVERCHARGE and are always conscience of every aspect of pet care and ownership. I wish people aspired to treat me so well when I visit the doctors office for myself!
