The Staff and Service here is the BEST EVER! I took away one star in their rating because their prices are very very high and, in my opinion, they push for additional costly services at every appointment that are not really necessary. In truth, I love going here, but do not like having to haggle over the bill estimate every time trying to remove some costly excessive service to keep my bill manageable for my budget. I have looked for other vets, unfortunately none are as close to us as Adamstown.

Hank has been seeing Dr. Erin since he was 8 weeks old and he is now 10 years old, and he is like a celebrity when we walk in the door. I've been bringing my pug Taffy here for just over a year. Every visit has been wonderful. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and their facility is very clean. They always check up on Taffy a few days after the visit to make sure things are going well. They have a true love for animals and a very experienced staff. Our most recent visit was for a surgery. At her old age, I was worried about Taffy. The surgeon herself informed me that she has been performing surgeries on animals since 1998 and that everything would be ok. It was. Taffy is healing well, and didn't seem to want to leave when I picked her up. I would suggest that anyone bring their animals here.

Everyone was very caring and kind to both Evee and me. It has been a long haul for my poor little girl so kindness and caring goes a long way. When we walked into the vet's office Evee shook uncontrollably, she calmed down some in the exam room but when she was brought out after having blood drawn and (long) nails clipped she was fine. Her little tail up and sniffing curiously around the room. While we were waiting for the the blood results she laid contentedly in my lap. Thank you so much, Kim Soroko and Evee

We have taken our cats and dogs here for several years. Vet bills are obviously not inexpensive, but they do a great job of explaining everything up front and giving you options. The staff, including vets and techs, are always pleasant. There have been times that they are working with an emergency case so our normal appointment times get shuffled. They are very abliging when rescheduling!

Most incompetent vet I have ever encountered Jennifer Camilli is the worst vet I have ever encountered. She has no regard for anybody other than herself. She killed my cat, Necropsy report proves my statement yet this narcissistic person still claimed that it was due to a blockage. No blockage was present. Her hands and her hands only are what killed my happy healthy 1 year old beloved furry family member. She didn't even have the common courtesy to check in to see what happened after I rushed him to HOPE after she perforated his bladder. If you want your pet to actually live, run far away from this woman. *I am not rating the hospital....I am only rating this particular doctor.

The people are nice and treat your pet very well ,but I think high priced and you paid for every thing like my fur baby was getting a check up on a problem he had and I asked if they could cut his nails they were going to charge me for that , we took him in February for yearly shot and check up found out both of his ears were infected well we were taking him back every 2 or 3 weeks until May ,had some conflicting information and by the time he was well we spend well over 1,000 dollars which is hard when your on a fixed income.And the Vet. would say well we can give you this for your pet and I think they are going to give me a sample to try out first NO we can give you mean,s we can sell you this.

After a long sleepless night with my dog. I called every vet in the area and was shot down eveytime. My dog was in pain. I couldn't touch her or pick her up. I was scared for her and was emotional wreck. After calling Adamstown vet they understood my frustration and concern for beloved furry family member. They seen me within 20 minutes of calling them. They were wonderful with my dog! I would have given them 5 stars except that they were expensive and I was unable to afford to take advantage of all the services I would have liked to. I had to take my dog to another local vet that was a lot cheaper for some services because I could not afford to go to Adamstown for everything.

We had an emergency with our pet rabbit Lollipop who was 10 years old. They saw her promptly. She needed to be euthanized due to the seriousness of her condition. Our entire family was able to be there with her during the procedure. They were very kind, & compassionate as this was a very emotional time for us. They understood that she was part of our family. They gave us a nice box to bury her in and put flowers on it from their outside flower pot. They met us at our car and several times the staff members wished us their condolences. A few days later we got a sympathy card in the mail signed by all the staff members there. I would highly recommend them for your pets. We have taken our dog and rabbits there over the past few years and have always felt valued, loved & well informed of our pets needs in the moment and for the future.

For many years we entrusted the care of our beagle Shiloh with the staff at Adamstown Veterinary Hospital and always had a very positive experience. They were always kind and courteous and took great care of our dog. Last year after 14 years, our beloved beagle Shiloh had to be put down after an extended illness. We were very broken down, knowing that she would no longer be with us. We will forever be grateful to the staff for their understanding and compassion, which was more than we could have hoped for. We've been going here for about a year with our 2 German Shepherds (Atticus and Bear) and they've been so kind and caring each visit. Staff is very knowledgeable. We've seen Dr. Pat with almost all our visits and she has been wonderful. You can tell she loves her job and truly cares about your pets. She's very easy to talk to and does a great job at explaining what's going on with your pets and any medications you should give your pets. We needed a fairly soon appointment for Atticus with his recent visit and they got us in the next morning.

In my dog's recent dental cleaning, Dr. John found and removed a 3mm tumor which turned out to be malignant melanoma. Because of Dr. John's thorough and knowledgeable exam, our dog's cancer was found at its earliest stage and was completely removed before spreading to his lymph nodes. Dr. John cares for my standard poodle as if he were his own and goes above and beyond to work with my dog's medical history. He is also up on the latest treatments and medical research and is able to provide excellent referrals to the best specialists. I wouldn't take my dog to any other practice!

They care for my pets as if they were their own. I don't worry for one minute when I have to leave any one of them there for a procedure. Peace of mind is priceless to me. We have 1 Pit Bull who we take there, and the techs and Dr. Savage are just so wonderful with him! He is a rescue, and had been abused at a very young age. Dr. Savage knows that our dog has an aggressive side (we believe in full disclosure). Long story short, he is now on medicine to help control his manic tendencies. They aren't up front about their prices, and with good reason ... they're much higher than other veterinary practices. I've heard them described as money grubbing, and I would have to agree. I might trust their ability to diagnose or treat a problem, but I could never trust that they wouldn't use the distraction of the ailment as a way to to make one overlook how their prices are inflated and how they tack on high priced extras.
