This used to be a wonderful place before they changed owners to VCA. Uneducated and misinformed staff. High prices. Don't risk your pets lives, go elsewhere.

Melyssa Leduc

I love VCA always have and I hope I always do. They have always treated any animal I have brought in so amazingly.

Janice Leggett

Awesome place to take your pets. Vet and staff are awesome!!!!

Metta R. Hashenberger

This should be a -10 review. If you love your pet you will RUN not WALK away from these dispicable crooks. They are now a Corporation, that's right a corp. ALL they care about is how much $$$ they can milk out of you. PLEASE I Beg you .DO NOT GO TO THESE CROOKS. They are just about your MONEY. My heart is broken over the hell they put my mother and I through. NEVER EVER will we ever go near this place...NOR SHOULD YOU. Friendly and coueteous?? That's a joke too. 3 people were standing at the counter..I waited 5 minutes and NOT ONE person even acknowledged I was there. Truly a DISPICABLE place.

Patricia Flynn

So humanely helpful

I love this place. I have taken many of my animals here. The staff is very attentive to my animals needs. Checkout takes a while though.

I wish I could give a zero or negative stars. I have been into this clinic five times and have not had a positive experience once. It took theee different people to schedule my dogs spay/rabies/microchip appointment. I was told 4 different things about ComboGuard flea/heartworm medication over 3 months and when she would need to do a heartworm test. They flat out refused to sell it to me when she was 5 months old and then two weeks later another person sold it to me and told me I would just need to get the test done before her next dose at 6 months-now 6.5 months since they wouldn’t sell it to me. When I had my first experience taking her in for a booster, they called her name took her out of my arms and then after weighing her just walked away from me. When I asked if I was supposed to go back they just told me to have a seat. Didn’t explain anything to me. I understand now that it was so my dog wouldn’t attach that experience to me, but no one told me that. I took my dog in for a rash she had for a few days after calling ahead and being told there were no appointments, but I would definitely be seen because Wednesday’s are slow. I walked in and the girl asked me what was wrong and then just walked away without a word. She came back and told me they couldn’t see me, I could wait, but it wouldn’t matter. When I started to get upset and explained that I called ahead and I was worried about an infection another dog had that my puppy had been around, she just repeated herself without showing any empathy and talked to me as if I was dumb for not getting it the first time. I cut her off and just walked out. I went to the emergency VCA on South Commericial and had the best vet experience ever. They paid attention to my dog and came around the counter. THey asked questions as they played with her and filled out the forms with the information they gathered. Every single staff member got down on her level and checked in with her. She is still nervous going out, but she never dropped or cowered. Although it would have been nice to avoid the high exam bill, I would pay the $116 for exam and medication every time if we were treated that way. The only reason people continue to go to the Keizer location is because of cheap fees and discounts and there aren’t many other options in town. Not because of their customer service or knowledge.

Jim Fresh

Got shots for 2 dogs here. Vets seemed nice.

Cassius Beck

They were awesome with my dog and now he's doing great.

Katie Phelps

Awful place! I will never bring my pets here again. We used to go to this location because it was willamette valley animal hospital, then the vca moved in. They act like they care then take you for all your money!!! They charged us for a x-ray then over 140$ because they “reviewed the X-ray” twice! They also prescribed unnecessary drugs to my cat that made him act completely off and scared us too. They’re money grubbing people who don’t care about the animals brought to them to treat.

Linda Sozzi

No longer the affordable drop in vet it once was. Change in ownership has raised prices.

Vicki Beck

Wonderful doctors. Very slow service.

Kimberly Feltner

Dr Hill was fabulous. My Sophie got top notch care.

Felicia Baker

So today my sister and her dieing dog came in at 3:20 pm and they turned her away because they took in their last walk in. My sister was hysterical and was telling them the story of weight loss and then not eating and vomiting. I even walked in and asked them what time they close and they said 4 o clock. So for 40 min they couldn't see her dog. We went to the emergency vet and all that was needed was an x ray. She ended up passing soon after, but we had to drive further away because they couldn't see her. I have had other issues and horror stories from this place. Please think before going here...... R.I.P. Rosie you will always be in our hearts forever......

Scoo-B Doo

Takes too long to check in and check out. I called for my dogs refill on a Monday and was told the Dr. won’t be in to check in for a refill and that they would call me back. Today is Sunday, never got a call or an e-mail from them. I am Very disappointed at this place and their service.

John Robinson

Since VCA has taken over operation of this clinic it’s been a disaster for their customer service. Things that used to be easy and quick are now a nightmare of bureaucracy and apparent disdain for customers. It’s really disappointing.

Ryan Belcher

Wouldn't see my dog without an appointment. Didn't even bother to look at him or offer a wait despite having a sudden raw rash on his neck. Gave me a card of some place that opened in 3 hours. I'll never come back. Heaven forbid it had been life threatening. Went three blocks to Keizer veterinarian. We waited, but they saw us. Haus is now at home recovering well.

Brandon Estes

These guys are great. My pup has seen a few vets there and they were all amazing. Their low prices are not in direct correlation to the services they provide. Highly recommend.

Michelle Howard

Wonderful staff and reasonably priced.

Ang Hills

I had to have my dog down. the vet sent a sympathy card!!!!!! staff is awesome

Thomas Leseman

I have used them for a long long time, great service at a low cost. Give them a try, you will love them.

John Lyndon

It's not reasonable anymore. Bad time management and team work. I walked in as I used to take my dog. Almost nobody was in the lobby, but walk-in patients had to wait for one hour or two to see whether scheduled patients show up or not. They don't take walk-in after 5 pm. So, don't bring your animals without confirmation. If it's urgent, you may want to try other place because they might let you wait for more than 2 hours. They charge $30 for basic exam but doctor didn't check the entire body throughly. Another $20 for diagnosing whether or not there's bacterial infection. I grabbed an anti-biotic ointment and a de-worming tablet. Totally, it costed $80 for an minor inflammation. It's over charging. I won't go back there because no quality.

Noelle Star

I’ve had the worst experiences here since they got bought out. The front desk girl named Brenda doesn’t ever know what she’s talking about, gives wrong information, we were told it would take two hours for a simple vaccination, then showed up and they told me my dog was overdue when it wasn’t, the wait times are ridiculous. There are a few positive things like the young, lady vet and Saturday hours. But be prepared to wait a very, long time. My dog had a bad reaction to a treatment and they said we can’t help you we are closing soon. It was an hour before closing. I’m so unimpressed and would advise to take your pet elsewhere. I will NOT be returning and will be sharing my experience with all my associates that have pets as well.

Raquel Del Razo

Dr. Allen is gentle and sweet. Adapted to my cat being nervous and stayed patient while he tried to run away. They clean each room after each patient. Make sure to ask about vaccines while in the room with them as they won't always explain what they are until they go to take the pets back to apply them. They do get busy so make sure to call in advance if possible to book an appointment.

Aaron Climer

We went here BEFORE they sold. The customer service is NOT what it used to be. Before, it was like CHEERS

Brenda Bronson-Kenady

Always been good to my animals for a reasonable price.

Christie Owens

It was crazy busy. But the Dr. treated our pup like she was the only one there. Very thorough.

Susan

Dr. Hill is the kindest, most loving soul that a person or (animal) could ever wish to cross paths with or be taken care of by. She is so incredibly intelligent and compassionate that my eyes almost tear up writing this. Our beloved babies developed very serious age related problems and my little family was going through very difficult circumstances. She - and the team at this vet/clinic/hospital - and the WONDERFUL organization “Operation Dog (please look them up and support them in any way you can!) moved Heaven and Earth to help us care for and have as much time as possible with our precious ones. There aren’t even words to express my gratitude ❤️❤️❤️

I took my momma dog and her three puppies in. They hospitalized her for the day. Told them she has killed puppies in the past. To not leave them with her. Promised would not. Got call she killed one and had bit the foot off the other. Ended up losing the whole litter.

Lauren Bowlin

Ive had mixed experiences here. Last week I had to put down my baby due to his cancer becoming untreatable. The vet was so nice and sweet and caring. She didnt rush us and made the process as bearable as possible. I picked up his ashes and paw print today. Thank you for helping preserve his memory.

Daniela Ochoa

I took my dog to get neutered today and when I left he had a gash in the back of his leg and I took him back in to ask what happened and nobody could tell me what happened or how he got that gash. He ended up needing stitches and he had to be sedated after just coming out of his previous sedation. I was extremely upset and they said they would cover the cost of his additional service but nobody apologized to me they said “things happen”. Also when I dropped him off at 8am I had to wait over an hour for him to be taken back and checked before the neuter and when I picked him up I also had to wait a pretty long time for them to bring him out to me.

Shayla Ginez

My dog has seizures and I took him in months ago and the vet said we needed a specific and expensive blood work to check the medication levels in his blood. Ok... I pay it and call for results. All is good the vet says. Fast forward.... Today.... Seizures are not controlled and we are considering putting him down so he doesn't suffer. We go back in and find out due to a "error" the medication levels were never checked just standard blood work. They blame at first a computer error, then the lab, then me (saying they told me with the results.... Flat out lie!) Then they want to recharge for the blood work! Ridiculous. I already paid for it and it was never completed! Then they say it was a known error in the blood work process. Why if known weren't people who had this bloodwork on their dogs told???? Plus they said they have known or got a notification that the bravecto flea medication he is on has been shown to increase seizures. Why weren't we told? Or any pet owner with a dog on the flea medication with KNOWN seizures! They messed up our new RX for our dog 4 times. When confronted the vet apologized for the errors and took blame. But it is beyond that! They tried to pass the blame and recharge for something already paid for! Their errors are gonna cost the lives of pets!

Angela Potter

Went to clinic 2 hrs beofre closing .stood in line for 10-15 mins , then, I was told they couldn't see any more clients . Could have put a note on door and on website . Have found another clinic . Love Dr Stoenner , but have not had good service from this clinic for past 6 mos. So , you lost all of our business.

Catherine Anderson

Good caring staff. Vet did a great job on our female spay. She didn't lick her stitches once.

Collette Props

Under new mgmt apparently, and are raising prices drastically! Been with them 2 years, but feel like the CARE for our pets wellbeing has dramatically declined in favor of making money. :(

Shauna Weiss

Vet never did a full exam and never came up with what my dog had that killed her.

Hannah Hawk

This one is nice. The other on commercial, they don't like to send records over and talk down to the pet owners.

Carrie Froelich

We’ve taken our Fur Baby here for over 4 years. They are always so good with her! Would recommend.

Joseph Johnson

I had an unbelievable experience and will never return. My 8-week old kitten suffered a painful death alone because of the "vet" at this clinic. Don't risk putting your pets through what my kitten experienced, choose another clinic.

Marq Hoffert

We had a great visit and our Scrappy pup is much happier! Thanks

Kelle Karn

I can't say enough about them.. I was in the hospital, only to come home to my cat, needing immediate help.. they lined up a room while on the phone, so when we got there.. we able to get to the room. They were packed.. full of people and their special pets.. But still managed to care for us and our pet. They were not rude once.. had helped make this as easy as possible. Thank You .. Thank You. Thank You..

A few months ago they killed my aunt's dog, was only supposed to pull 2 teeth and pulled 20 instead knowing she had a brain condition and was not supposed to be under for a certain amount of time. I got my dog his shots a few weeks ago and he ended up with kennel cough a couple days later, I was given cough meds for him and was told he was fine, it's like the flu shot and he could get symptoms from the shot but was not contagious. I kept him in for a couple days then took him out in public. Well he came across his puppy friend and now his friend is sick along with his parents he goes and sees and their 11 pups that are only about a month old. I call them to see how we can get this issue fixed and they refuse to help me or give me any information over the phone they would need to see all the dogs for an exam but would be at full price for ALL 13 DOGS. I explained to her that me given the wrong information is why this has happen and there should be something done about it and I get hung up on. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR DOGS THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN GET OUT OF YOU! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Hiedi Sandoval-Davis

They are wonderful. The Receptionist are professional & friendly. The Vet Assistants are very easy to interact with. This clinic has the best Animal Doctors, I take my cat here & my brother brings his dog here. We enjoy our time & receive the highest quality in care for our furry kids. Thank You Ladies & Gentlemen

Brian DePierre

We just moved to Keizer and brought our 7 month old German Shepherd here because he was limping quite a bit. We had been keeping him in a kennel and avoiding exercise for the last day so he wouldn't hurt himself. He had a ton of energy when it was time to bring him in. I had him on a leash with only 16 inches of lead when we left the examination room ( the vet spent maybe 3 minutes examining his leg, but I figured it was minor anyway). An assistant was in the hallway with a small white dog on a 4 foot lead. The small dog immediately ran at my dog ( my dog got excited and was being friendly but pulling hard) and that idiot only said "Control your dog!". I know it's not a big deal, but I have a friendly puppy that's under my control on a short lead, and that daft assistant had an aggressive adult small dog on a 4 foot lead and had the nerve to state I'm not controlling my animal. She's dumb, and it was enough to ensure I won't be back. If she doesn't understand animal behavior, she really shouldn't be working there. I'll say it again, that assistant is incompetent. Just because my puppy is energetic and big, doesn't mean he's not in my control, furthermore, he isn't at all aggressive towards animals or people at all. He's been socialized well so far.

Rob Nall

Highly recommended! The doctors and staff are kind, caring, and aware that our four-footed friends are actually part of our family! They are upfront about costs, they give options, and educate you about your pet and situation! Give them a try! You'll like them!

Reid Cowan

Don't take your animals here. We took our cat with ear mites. After 4 visits the issue was still not resolved. The worst part they injured our cat, puncturing her ear drum, causing blood to pool in the ear. After this they charged us for a recheck of the issue they caused! The recheck was useless because she couldn't see in the ear still! Our last appointment was with the medical director, who seemed to be clueless, telling us to reapply "revolution", a 3 month medication, which was just applied a month ago. I suggested a better alternative and she agreed. They only care about profits here, not your pet. They are disorganized and incompetent. If I come back it will be to serve them with a bill for damaging my kitties ear! AWFUL, OVERPRICED AND INCOMPETENT!!

Brittani Baakko-Abernathey

My dog had steples put in her to close a couple wounds. When it came time to get them removed, we had to return on another day because they left staples in her! It was obviously uncomfortable for her, and very unprofessional!

kim koivu

I toke my cat in today at 3:55pm to get looked at. They informed me they were closing in 4 min. Their website says until 5pm. So I had make an appointment for Monday. Irritated about driving all the way over there and not being seen. So I marking it as 1 star because the website not being updated. However the workers and service have been outstanding.

Raquel and Jay Ortiz

If I could, I would give no stars. The wait was horrbile we were told we did not need an appointment and wait would be 10-15 minutes. We waited about half an hour to be seen. Then, the vet hit a vessel while administrating his vaccines. Puppy began to bleed. Vet was not worried at all and seemed frustrated with our questions when it continued to bleed. Last, we were never told that we were being charged for first time being seen. They just charged us with no explanation whatsoever. Husband was the one who paid since I had to get back to work, when I called to ask why we were charged so much receptionist explained they always charge this first time fee, I said I understood that but legally they cannot just charge people without telling them what they are paying for. She said she was sorry but it's the law. I again said I understood but the check-in gal needs to be retrained to make sure all patients know that they will be charged for this in the future.

Jade Sloper

I got turned away from my appointment a couple days ago because my cat didn’t have a kennel and she’s completely calm I tried seeing if my boyfriend could wait in the car with my cat and I’d wait in the waiting room until she got called then I’d go back with her immediately and she wouldn’t need to be around any animals but the lady was very rude and despite knowing how sick my cat was they turned us away to reschedule and my cat ended up getting put down tonight in the emergency vet. They might have good prices but go somewhere where they actually care about your animals.

Co Pilot

The best vet in town. Office visit was around $33 for my 80 lb pitbull

Edward Galligan III

I brought my cat in the morning, and Dr. Stoenner, during his exam, very calmly breaks one of my cat’s teeth, and tells him not to swallow it because “that’s gross.” I tell him he’s been peeing outside the litterbox, so he says they need to keep him overnight for a urine sample. They’ve done same day urine samples before, but he for some reason, needs 24 hours, so he takes the crate with my cat in it before I can say bye to my cat. After picking up my cat the next morning, I am told I will get a call in a few days about the urinalysis. I wait a week and a half for a call back. The urine test comes back normal, but Dr Stoenner has determined my cat has arthritis... off of a urine sample? My cat is not old and has no problems walking around, running, or jumping. I’ve slowly started to dislike this vet over the years, and this may be the visit that pushes me to try another business.

Wonderful staff!

I feel completely lied to and let down by this place. I took my called chameleon to my regular vet because I believed she was egg-bound. The X-ray machine was down, so my very referred me to VCA. I scheduled an appointment with them after verifying that they had a vet for reptiles. I was told that yes they did and that is be seeing them for the appointment. I took her to the appointment on Friday last week. The vet came in said they were going to do X-rays and took her. When he came back in, he confirmed that yes she had eggs inside. So is asked if he could give her a dose of oxytocin to endive her egg laying. At that point this vet told me that although he was only somewhat familiar with reptiles, I would have to schedule an appointment with the reptile vet and come back. I was devastated. I had them put her X-ray images on a disk so I could take them to my vet. As soon as I walked out and got in my car I called my regular vet and explained what had happened at VCA. My regular vet scheduled me an assignment for 11am the next day (Saturday). Unfortunately, my chameleon didn't make it thru the night. She passed away around 4am Saturday morning.

Caring considerate staff

Heather Lagaso

These people have zero respect for their customers. They tell us over and over that there's no appointments, walk in only. Despite the fact that we go in every month for their over priced food, and once a year we pay for the cat to be seen so he can keep eating that food, they STILL didn't bother to tell their customers that they were changing their system and appointments ARE being made now. Those of us who didn't know this, spend 3 hours with a suffering animal, waiting for them to get through all their appointments. My cat, with a hole in his head and pus coming from his eye, is a bit more i.important than someones dog getting their nails cut. The infection in the cat wouldn't have happened if they had just told us how to clean it. We asked. We walked into the office and asked what we are supposed to use for small scratches and they refused to tell us. Even though it's as simple as: "Neosporin or alcohol", they were more concerned with getting more money than with being decent human beings. I have been sitting here for 2 hours as my cats face leaks infection. They have had 3 customers come in and complain about their lack of communication and their lack of customer service. This place needs to learn that they are one of many. There are LOTS of vets out there and it won't be that hard to find one that treats their customers with respect and consideration. If you have a choice, don't go here. You'd get treated better as a prisoner in jail.

Taylor Isaac

My husband and I are overwhelmingly happy with the care and service we received at VCA Iris. Our one-year old hound was showing symptoms of an obstruction; we called the office and they got us in within the hour. Dr. Herdener was thorough and decisive in her assessment. Our pup had surgery and the vet was able to cleverly remove the obstruction without cutting into the intestines, which reduced the risk, the recovery time, and the cost.

kali Lucero

Take great care of the animals! Very helpful and informative! Great prices!! Dosent brake the bank like my old vet.

Amy McIntosh

Very caring staff, I have been being my animals over 10 years to them. Some doctors have left but the quality and care are still there.

Kim Sickles

They quoted one price then charged 75% more and refused to fix it. Also I have never waited less then an hour to be seen. The service is okay and the late hours are nice but they should honor the price they quote.

Kayla Seideman

I have been going to VCA Iris for over a year with my pets now (4 cats and 1 dog) and everyone in this office always goes above and beyond to help us when we need it. Recently my elderly cat became very sick and I was calling a couple times a week with questions and concerns. Every time I call they either give me the answers I need or have a veterinarian call me back that same day. The vet and techs even showed me how to hook my cat up to an IV at home to make him more comfortable. Thanks to everyone in this office for always going above and beyond to help us!

Gordon Harris

Great with the pets

Charlotte Roberts

Awesome care and genuine care of animals and owners.

Autism Mom

Staff is friendly. Was always a good vet and cheap. Unfortunately, price has gone up. 20.00 for a dogs nails cut is double the price of every other salon! Ridiculous. Dont sell me on your brand of flea medication when it isnt even listed as a top ten and double the price of the number one american voted flea meds. Dr Stoner is nice and our dog loved him and he was incredibly personable. But we believe if the vet isnt willing to pay for procedures or do it for their own dog dont sell anyone else on it. We had a vet lady about 3yrs ago who was super honest with us and saved us a bunch of money. she was the reason weve stayed with this vet. Would like that treatment in future. Not into sales pitches.

Rudy Quintanilla

Great service

Jess Cree

Great place! Love it. I just took my 12 week old French Bulldog in today. They were so good to him. He got his vaccines and an xray on his back leg. The gentleman who took us back was so nice and very patient with our rambunctious little boy. The vet that looked at him was Chelsea Allen she was awesome. She explained everything to us. I would recommend this vet.

Paula Mcneeley

I WAS a client of VCA for over 4 years, I had always given them a good review. After what happened this past few days, I felt it would be a disservice to leave it up. First I want to say they do have a few good vets. However on this visit when I told them NOT to perform an invasive test on my dog they did it anyway, they then charged me for such test. This was not about the money as I had instructed them to do the test the next day, while she was sedated for Xrays. Then I had two spend two days going back and forth for the credit back to my account, again the money was NOT the issue, as I found a new vet and had what was needed done. Also this only came to light when I asked for a breakdown of the cost of her labs, at that time I was told that the test I had told them not to preform was about 70.00 dollars but when it came down to the refund it was for 16.00 dollars. Food for thought about there billing practices. I can no longer trust this office with the care of my animals. The Dr. Did apologize then invalidated it by saying that I hadn't made it clear so basically " I'm sorry but its your fault" So for what its worth this was my experience.

Jerry Santamaria

Friendly, informative staff. Get the sense they really care.

HL Rose

Wonderful staff, friendly and caring. They did a great job fixing my clumsy cat's injury..

ed

I have had 1 great experiance there, 1 good experiance there & 3 down right HORRIBLE experiances there. My wife & i refuse to go here anymore. Unless they take major steps to improve & start accepting walk ins / emergencys again

Wendee Lou

Everyone is so kind an supportive. I really had a good experience. The doc we had was wonderful. I don't remember her name but she was great. Maybe she's the only female doc, you could always ask

Jones Morgan

Terrible service and overpriced.

Mrs Holt

Great prices and great services. Look out for sales they usually have different ones during the week. I absolutely love this place.

Gara Dunn

WARNING!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! THEY MISDIAGNOSE AND PROLONG THE SUFFERING OF YOUR ANIMAL UNTIL THEY DIE JUST TO GET ALL THE MONEY THEY CAN!! I had heard nightmare stories about this place and Im sad to say its true. My family, after several trips visiting VCA to seek treatment for their pet, decided to get a second opinion due to the vets at VCA not knowing what could be wrong and prescribing antibiotics for an infection that only continued getting worse. Upon rushing their pet for an emergency visit to another clinic, the veterinarian there was shocked to hear that VCA had no diagnosis, and that when VCA performed a physical exam they still couldnt figure out what was wrong! But upon the physical exam that day with the new veterinarian, My family was horrified to hear their pet was riddled with tumors and had been in extreme pain this whole time and it had advanced so much there was nothing they could do to help but to end his suffering. They had to put their sweet baby down that day. So PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! AND NO STARS AT ALL FOR THEM.

elizabeth saberon

I have loved coming here to bring my dogs and cats for the last few years. when one of my dogs was nearing the end of her life they were so compassionate and caring and helped me through a very tough situation. They have since changed owners but I think it has been for the better because now they take appointments and I can't say enough about the friendly and caring service. The cost is also very reasonable and they have half price nail clippings on Tuesdays for dogs and cats. Keep up the good work!

nick carlson

This place sucks, will not be returning. Brought my dog in to get fixed, was told to get here at 730. They didnt open the doors til 745, not to bad. But then they inform me it's going to 500 dollars to get him fixed and 100 to cut off his back due claws. I agreed because well I'm already here. I call around 145 to see how he is doing and they tell me he was ready to go home. I show up 30 minutes later because I live in Dallas or and this is in keizer where I grew up. When i get there I wait 30 minutes before I'm able to check him out. They then tell me it's going to be 45 min until they can release him. I tell them that I already called and you guys said he was ready about a hour ago. They then proceed to tell me they just have to charge the credit card (really 45 min to charge a credit card) and I gave them the credit card in the morning. So just a heads up this place is garbage.

Brandon M

My walk in had about a 45 minute wait. The staff was friendly while helping us get checked in. The veterinarian was also friendly and informative throughout the process. I will be returning.

Barbara Hughes

I really like the veterinarians and all the personal. They are friendly and very professional. The wait is not long during the week. I like going in on Tuesdays for half off nail trims. They offer other specials.

christine parker

Used to be reasonably priced but not anymore! Thanks for the 500 dollar bill for nothing! Our cat was doing great on thyroid medicine but because we couldn't afford another 150 for labs our cat is now off meds because vet refused to refill. He's been very sick and I'm sure this will be the death of him. Thank you so much for debt and killing our cat slowly!! DON'T TAKE ANY PET HERE!!!

Jose Cruz

Very nice and quick treated my dog with love

K Z

Our regular vet for many years....refused to see our dog when violently puking for hours. Only reason they could give was "we have a lot to catch up on". This was an hour before closing, with "no appointment necessary".

RachelAnneFisher

I try to be reasonable in reviewing services and places, because you know we all have bad days. Unfortunately, my experience with VCA Iris has been one bad day for several years. The staff veterinarians are nice enough. You can tell they are tired of the meat grinder that their corporation is putting them, the techs and their patients and owners through. If you read comments, people gripe about the price and service or how they feel they have been wronged. For contrast, I’d like to talk about how I feel after leaving the clinic. That feeling was frustrated and angry. This clinic before WVAH and VCA Iris, was a Companion clinic. I trusted and liked the vets then, I felt like my pets were cared about. I felt understood when the best treatment options were not a reality for me due to lack of finances. I loved that I could walk in at a time that worked for me and Sunday’s were an optio too! I appreciated price breaks, and payments on the rare occasion. And I felt heard. I felt that my pets mattered. I felt the compassion. That feeling, of being understood, appreciated and valued is long gone. I am frustrated that a 5 minute exam is valued at $50. I don’t feel confident that my pet that is going back for a blood draw is going to be treated as gently as possible. A estimate comes back to me, showing at least a 35% increase in service and medication prices from 6 months prior. I keep returning because your clinic had been the most economical. That is no longer true. I politely advised that I wanted my animal to have care, but for those reasons, I would be requesting my records to move clinics. One that is closer for my and my pets comfort, especially since the convenience of walk in as the economy has changed. I’m sorry these changes you have made are for the decline of your business. I will not be seeking your services, nor can I, in good conscious recommend you to others. You r lobby was the least crowded I had ever seen it, but it was stil dirty, unkept and outdated. I ow realize I should have made this switch sooner. I had just hoped that my experience would change. It just did not, it got worse in fact. $450 was what I paid for bloodwork, an exam and 3 months worth of a fairly inexpensive thyroid medication (suspension). For a working class person, this bill represents about a quarter of a monthly salary. Shameful.

So far so good!

Before VCA bought them out this was the best vet clinic in the area. After VCA bought them out this is now headed toward being one of the worst vet clinics in the area!! Service has gone down and the prices have gone WAY up!! Extremely disappointing so we are on the search for a new vet!!

Judy Stumpf

Best part care from caring people an doctors here. I recommend their services. They helped me find a solution to my dog problem without pushing me to one medicine.

Jordan Tibbot

Had I not come here and paid for tests and the lot. I'd have found the same object in my dogs stool later that night. They're kind and very knowledgeable.

Nicole Woodcock

Dr. Hill has seen our animals a couple times now - she is so patient and understanding. She helped us euthanize our cat, Mouse, last week. Everything was explained in detail prior, and she was very compassionate and gentle with our cat during the entire process.

Jennifer Evans Tomko

Great place Staff is very nice Open late

Mike Hubbard

Not a good place to take birds!!!

tldnr: Overall, I had a great experience. The people were kind; the pricing was fair. Appointments will save you hours. Like this review if it helped. I brought my Corgi in for a check-up and to get flee & tick medication. They do walk-ins, but I had an appointment. When I had called, they had appointment times available the next day, but I did it next week for a more convenient time slot. The walk-in wait time was about 2 hours at my arrival at 9:40 AM, however, I was sent to a room within 5 minutes since I had an appointment. The vet came in 2 minutes later. I could tell he loves animals. He performed his checks, and my dog was healthy. He asked what kind of medication I wanted and explained the different options. He even suggested using a specific over-the-counter medicine, instead of something the clinic sells, for my dog's itching, until the existing flea bites healed. I went back to the lobby, waited about 3-5 minutes, they called me up, I received the medicine, payed, and was out a little after 10:00.

Travis Gibbs

Even though they're always busy, they're great. The vet we saw was really passionate about helping our puppy and the costs were very reasonable.

Diane Brinlee

Used to love this vet office, Zoe had her ligament in her left knee fixed there just over 3 yrs ago. But after today we are looking for a different vet. Just seemed they didnt care about our concerns for Zoe. And the prices are crazy high! Gotta do my homework for my dogs and a great vet.

Jessica Patterson

They were able to get our kitten in the same day for a swollen cheek due to an URI from the shelter. They have a voucher for a free vet visit here when adopting from the Humane Society, so it was all free. The people were great and vet seemed knowledgeable. I would take my kitties here again.

Leah Fretwell

Efficient, kind to people and animals, well staffed.

Sunny S.

I brought my dog in there today and I was very disappointed, the dr was complaining about noises as she had a concussion (okay if she has a concussion why is she at work where dogs bark) They charged me a $70 exam fee even though they didn't do literally anything but attempt a temperature and he jumped then give me a print out of over $340 in stuff they wanted to do. Its was total BS i will not be going back there again.

deb knight

I use to have patients tell me about this place, so I decided to try it myself. I've been going to Willamette valley animal hospital for maybe 6 years now. I tell people all the time to go ther. I love them. Sometimes there's alittle bit of wait and at other times not so much. The staff is excellant, kind and compassionate.

Juliana Estrada

The receptionist is very friendly and gives you accurate information that you need to know for your pet.

rosa linn

Wouldn't see my cat that has mastitis cause the Drs wanted to go home an HR early! Will never come back here again! They told me to go to emergency!

Justin Schmale

Come prepared to wait... You might just see Elvis first.

Hope Carmona

Wasn't impressed with the staff, I've came here in previous years and was previously impressed, but not this time. Front desk staff wasn't plesent, and neither was checkout staff. The veterinarian that I took my dog to wasn't any better. I don't think I would come back.

Charlotte Davidson

Great place they really take good care of your animals

matthew Foley

These guys have always been great. Saved my Jynx's life , and when he finally did have to be put down they helped me through it with compassion and patience. They didn't bug mw through out with billing , they let me have the time I needed without rushing me to have a final moment with my best friend.

Sharon Cheung

The staff are wonderful with my granddaughters cat. They explained what to expect from beginning to end when we had her spayed.

Lexi Murphy

I signed up online for the free initial pet exam and when I got there and told the guy at the counter he didn't even look at me and said "its not in our system"....he didn't even look, I had a picture of my code and he wouldn't look. Very irriated at that. Otherwise the vet Dr. Stoenner was amazing.

Mike Orosco

Staff is great but this use to be a small walk in vet until VCA bought them out, raised prices and made it appointment only. Sad that I'll have to change vets because profit is more important than animal care.

Becky Gilbert

Very kind and knowledgeable. I have trusted them with all my animals. They are clear about options and costs.

Michael Jenkins

Very busy place but very good vets they're very good with your animals and pretty reasonable prices

Veronica Martinez

Friendly staff and superb patients!

Emmanuel Trujillo

Smells like hospital but worse cuz dogz

Anna Mckenzie

After going to this place for over 10 years and having awesome service , I'm sad to say I will not return. I have seen the numerous complaints since the new owners took over but hadn't experienced anything yet . Yesterday I went to buy my cat food like I do every month. I was told that they won't sell it to me unless I pay for an office visit because it's a prescription food . I have bought it monthly since they took over and haven't had any problems ever . I called Petco ...guess what ? Got the same food $15 cheaper and didn't have an appointment. I won't support this greedy under handed business!

Valerie

Saved the life of.my dog, no it wasnt cheap, but no life is

Luna Sol

This place used to be great. Lower pricing and discount days, but those days are gone they have now raise their prices can match every other veterinarian in town and are offering a wellness plan. many of us do not have medical insurance yet they think people want to purchase a wellness plan for their pet you pay a monthly fee which then gives you a 20 to 60% discount off of services rendered in the future. This is the most ridiculous thing. We are now looking for a new vet for our 3 pets

Cynthia Dawson

I have pets of all shapes and sizes and I bring all of them here. Their staff is so great that my iguana just loves coming to the vet just to see the people who work there. Plus they named her when we found out she was a girl.

Heartmyreddog D.

No longer impressed with this facility since new management has taken over. Front staff is overwhelmed and nearly impossible to schedule an appt.

Lacey Monkey

Staff was friendly and helpful! Hardly had any wait time at all. I took in a rat and Dr. Sears was amazing with him! He even interacted wuth my kiddos in the appointment! Will definitely be going back and I highly recommend them!

Bobbe Gesch

New owners with very high prices. The prices almost doubled.

Stephanie Watson

I have taken all my pets here for years and have recommended them to all my friends and family... until it became VCA. I feel like all I do is give them money!! Took my dog in for an ear infection... had to take her back for TWO re-checks and this last one they looked in her ear... poked at it with a q-tip to check for any more bacteria...didn't clean anything...all to the tune of $85! Are you kidding me?? Was told that I would get an ear cleaning kit to take home and never received that, either. I took all three of my dogs get checkups this year and now I am told that I need to have them rechecked if I want to get flea medication in less than a 3 month supply. No re-check is necessary when buying flea meds for 6 months or more. What??? How does that even make sense??. What a load of nonsense!! Needless to say I am currently looking for a new vet clinic for my furry family.

Liz Young

They were awesome until they were bought out a year ago. Since then the service has gone downhill while the prices are going up just as fast. Today the vet announced they were afraid of big dogs while they were treating my VERY sweet German Shepherd. Made my dog nervous because they couldn’t do their job calmly. We won’t be returning. Have had them for two years for cats and dogs but there’s not really a point in seeing a vet who is afraid of their patients.

Kelley McCarter

The people there are great. It's not too pricey. The Dr got on the floor so my dog was not so nervous and made him feel very comfortable. I have already recommended this place to family and friends.

Celeste Aichlmayr

Spent 2 hours just for a nail trim and a vaccination. They had full staff but took forever to get my paperwork and bill ready for me to pay when I needed to leave. This has happened several times and I have not been back, they are quantity over quality.

gina smith

this used to be Keizer Vet; it now has new money hungry owners advicing lab work when none is needed,refusing to see flee med unless we spent more,ect ;

Heather Rooke

They took great care of my dog when she had a tumor in her mouth.

Isabella Grant

Great staff and atsomphere

Randy West

My dog Sadie loves coming here the staff is great and the vets really know their stuff!

Tamara Cichowicz

They are going with my dog and my dog don't really like vet

Kayla Spence

Super long wait even though it's by appointment only. Prices are extremely high and they misdiagnose my dog the first time I brought her and then had her on meds that caused her to drop weight to the point where she looked unhealthy. Thank goodness for Dr. Crane she caught the mess up and did a free work up on her to see what was missed. However, once I get a clean bill of health from there I will be going else where for her future visits.

Mary Aichlmayr

They have cared for our animals for years and I can't imagine trusting another clinic with my pets. Every staff member interacts with the pet and gets to know them so the pet feels safe. They are knowledgeable, willing to listen, and figure out the best treatment with the owner. I also appreciate their discount days!

Angelica Herrera-Clark

Thursday discount vaccine day is pretty busy. But I had an appointment and was in and out of the exam room in minutes with three vaccines and an exam! Dr. Lee was awesome!

J P

I have been coming to this vet since the mid-90s overall the experience has been great but I'm getting sick and tired of them turning people away before they close. I took work off early to get here on time as they usually cut peoplepeop 30 minutes prior cuz that's what I've been told. But it's always a different story depending who it is you talk to. If they want to close at 6 and they should close their door at 5:30 to get the people that already checked in out on time. Otherwise they should just take people up until 6 and plan to leave an hour late. This is very frustrating. And this is why I'm giving it a two stars. I've referred many people over the 20 years I've been coming. I'm so disappointed at this point. All my pet was needing was an exam because he was limping. I want to add that when I came in at 5:20 they told me that they didn't want to take any more but they would go ask their manager and let me know so what really ticks me off is I sat there for 30 minutes waiting for them to tell me I even wave the girl down and ask her if she didn't come back to let me know finally I waved another guy down and he had the manager come out and tell me "oh they told you they couldn't see no more." But they said they were going to ask the manager and let me know so I sat there almost 40 minutes for nothing with my cat crying in the carrier that was the worst part of it they just don't communicate with with each other.

Richard Hohnbaum

Great help with treating our new cat. So glad they are offering such caring services

Lisa Hendrick

Definitely my go to for my kitties. They have specials on certain days and will take walk ins although you might wait a little. Great doctors !

brenda marcus

Dr. Desbians is the best vet ever. We've had all five of our dogs treated at WVAH and their care was excellent. Dr. Fowler and Dr. Morris are also excellent vets!

Nicole S

Raised prices after buy out after they said they would not

Roberta Campbell

They give excellent care to my dog, have reasonable prices, open on weekends and have a couple discount days a week. My son decided to try them for his three dogs was also very happy with their care and prices. Thank you all at Willamette Valley Animal Clinic.

Misty Wooldridge

Good vets, nice employees. But since they got bought out, the prices have gone up.

Dana Frederick

I took my dog here for an injury. I first called to schedule the appointment, and whoever I spoke to seriously needs to learn active listening skills. I literally had to spell my last name for her five times. I had also been there once before with my cat, but she could not find the record and I had to give her all my information over and over again. Despite these annoyances, I came in anyway because my dog needed to be seen. When I arrived to check in, there were four people standing around and one person at a computer checking someone out. I waited until she called me up just to tell me that someone else has to help me because she had too much paperwork to deal with. One of the four of those who were standing around came to check me in at that point at another computer. His wound was stapled and the staple fell out after a day. The vet and tech left me and my dog in the exam room as they said they would be back with his antibiotics. I waited for over a half hour. It turns out they were waiting for me to pay in the lobby, but nobody told me to go there. I would not recommend going here unless you have to, as they seem to have good availability for same day appointments. The vet herself was nice enough but the rest of the process was frustrating and unprofessional.

Rae Cavan

I have taken my cats here for many years. They used to be wonderful. They have been going downhill for a bit. The recent buy out has finished them off for me. They used to care about your pet, now they only care about how much money they make off you. Bad service, bad diagnosis, a terrible place to bring your pet to. Thankfully I found a new vet closer to me that is wonderful. Better priced too. Though I would pay more for good service and treatment. I really can't see this place staying in business long since they are so determined to run off their faithful clientele.

Todd Chrysa Downes

They got our pup in quickly. Very friendly today

Mike Zeazeas

Great vet, nice people

Brett Hoffman

This review is my opinion. Recent change in ownership / management is definitely for the worst. Used to be able to do walk-ins, but now, while they say you still can walk in , appointments are necessary if you don't want to be waiting hours or days. If you are a walk-in and your pet is in immediate need of treatment their scheduled appointments will take priority over your walk-in, whether it was for a surgery or nail trim, the appointment will be helped first. Loved coming here for their discounts and helpful staff, but these recent changes will have us looking for another clinic to call ours.

Shannon Fahey

I had two dogs and a 3 yr old in tow, every worker was AWESOME and Dr Allen is great!! But Lexi was the cherry on top!! She offered to help me out, she took both dogs so I could focus on my toddler, then when it came time to get the dogs in the car she made sure that my daughter stood close by the car and away from the parking lot what an amazing woman to have on your staff! This vet clinic is amazing

Anne Mousse

Had our whole crew worked on by the fantastic staff here. 3 dogs all treated like members of their family. From reception to management and especially the amazing veterinarians! We love this place and drive nearly an hour to get here.

Eric Mckune

I've been taking my puppy there since he was 9 wks. They are super friendly and make getting vaccines for pets about as enjoyable as you can. They have discount days for different things different days of the week which really helps. Some days during busy hours there can be a bit of a wait before being seen. Overall, excellent keep up the good work.

quenton Vlogs

My dog got sick from this vet do not bring you pets there it's dirty and overpriced since the changed

April Snow

It was a lot better when it was privately owned. Over $50 for an obligatory exam (to get flea meds) and it's now appointment only. Genuine, caring people seem rare. The veterinarians are generally nice and informative, plus they have discount days. I wish the last two were enough of a reason to like them more.
