Any time our dog Cooper has a problem we take him to the village vet. The staff is exeptional, they are always very polite, friendly and helpfull. Dr Houstin has apassion for helping animals that most vets just dont have. She exceeds all of our expectations. If your animal needs anything, the village vet is the place to go!

I have nothing bad to say regarding the care my animal received during their stay or care after surgery, other then I was quoted a different price for the procedure that was done, and then charged three times that amount when I went to pick them up, Dr Houston is a lovely person, and very carrying Vet, now the other girls that work there, are not that great, I found them rude and alittle not concern that much about their jobs, they take for ever to check clients out, and most of the time I call, Iam always put on hold for long periods of time, hello girls your not the only people that have a job, They did things to my animal without checking with me first, to make sure adding the cost on to the bill was ok with me, asked how they thought that was ok, never really got a answer, I even went as far as calling other Vet's to check out their pricing for the same procedure, what I was quoted was what I would have paid, and when I asked if they would just take it a pond themselves to do something other then what I had come in for, would they call me first, the answer was yes always, that would be like stealing if we did not, that answer came from 3 other vets in the area, they say there care is premium and that is why their prices are a lot higher, I have had lots of animals through my life, their care is no better then any other vet I have gone too in the past , Its sad that being in such a small community that they don't take care of their long time clients better, its a shame, they even charged my husband credit card without his knowledge twice, just because they had it on file, for some stuff that did not get added on to our bill, shame on you, so don't allow them to keep you card numbers, because they will use them without telling you first.

Doctor Houston is a very knowledgeable and caring person, and a skilled surgeon. Our dog had some challenging allergies that didn't respond to multiple medicines and therapies, but she continued to work the problems and eventually found a combination that worked. That improved his quality of life tremendously! When he tore ligaments in his knees (on separate occasions), Dr. Houston surgically repaired them and worked with us over the next 4 months to heal and rehabilitate his leg, customizing the program based on his progress and needs each time. He was so happy that he could run and play again. The entire staff treats our dog as if he were theirs, with love and compassion, always acting in his best interest.

I kept all my pups visits with Dr. Thompson and her care was so good with him that he enjoyed seeing her every time. She was thorough and very informative on how to take care of him. Plus, the tech and her in the same room made the visit quick and the checkout was pleasant with the lobby-folk.

The receptionist was rude from the minute we came in, as though our business was simply an annoyance. We waited an hour and a half because they were "over-booked", and every time we asked what we were waiting for we were only met with blank stares and "I don't know". Worst customer service. The doctors there could never be amazing enough to make dealing with that receptionist worth it. Take your money to a vet who will appreciate your business and save yourself a lost day. Wish we could.

The vet is AMAZING!!! She needs to be more involved in how the business aspect because it is not amazing. For exams, she is not only a wonderful vet but very reasonably priced. For more extensive things such as surgery, you may want to get an absolute quote in writing because my experience is that they charge at least 2 times of what they quote in person. Ask questions when you get the written quote like, "is there any other additional charge that could happen". Make them put it in writing or don't go through with the service. Dr. Huston is worth it but be careful about what you will be charged for a service.

My 14 year old Jack Russel had some bad teeth which made him have terrible breath. I was quoted an astronomical amount to have his teeth cleaned & some of them pulled by another vet. I took him to see Dr. Brenner & she gave me a quote I could live with. They took such good care of Milo & the follow up was really something. I have had several calls from people checking up on him. I thought having dental work on a dog that is already 14 years old was extravagant & perhaps not really necessary but much to my surprise Milo is acting like a puppy again. He must have been in terrible pain. He runs & plays & has gained weight. I am so glad I took him in & had 12 teeth pulled. He really is like a different dog now.

I have been taking my fur babies to Doctor Houston for more than 12 years, and have been going to The Village Vet since the day the doors opened. On a few occasions I have taken my kids elsewhere, and regretted it every time. I will NEVER go anywhere but The Village Vet or The Barlow Trail Veterinary Clinic EVER again. Dr. Houston and her staff genuinely care about our pets and never try to "upsell" or get us to pay for procedures or products we truly don't need. Kind, caring, efficient, effective, empathetic, professional yet personable....and above all else....trustworthy. These are the things that matter most to me when it comes to my pet care needs. Not one time have I been disappointed by these folks. Dr. Houston and the rest of the vets/staff are, simply put, a part of our family. It is with great pleasure I recommend the services of these professionals for all of your pet health care needs.

Small, helpful clinic! All the staff members we had contact with were polite, friendly and helpful. Answered all our questions about our growing puppy (including ones that were probably silly, but we didn't know). I truly felt like our vet wanted us to learn everything we could and understand why and what she was doing! She even called us after our Puppy's shots to check in to make sure she was OK. I walked away feeling like she truly cared about my dog and like any of my concerns were valid.

I enjoyed going to the vet , they prices got out of hand . I think because they push the pet insurance they charge everyone at insurance prices . I went across town to a well know vet , the price for the surgery for my bulldogs chery eye was $540.00 dollars less , plus the Prosidure was less invasive , it’s been two years and have not had any issues There was a few other instances of outrageous price gouging before this issue came up that made me walk away . I would. It would not recommend this clinic.

I found Dr. Houston on accident and it was the best accident that has ever happened! She is kind and genuinely cares about your pets well being. I never felt pressed into doing extra procedures, they explained everything thoroughly and helped me through every process. The staff offered to help me carry things to my car and they were so kind to my chug who is a caution, cranky dog. I am so glad I found Dr. Houston and her staff!

Dr. Houston provides better care and more thorough follow up than most "human" doctors. I recently had to bring a friends dog to her on emergency. I made the call and they took me right in as soon as I could get there. Due to the advanced age of the dog and his symptoms blood work was recommended. She did not pressure me to do any additional tests. She answered all my questions and made sure I knew what the treatment was going to be and how much it would all cost before doing anything. Due to her expertise and knowledge that dog is now thriving. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Houston, and the staff is caring, sincere, attentive and informative.

I love the Village Vet - and more importantly, my dog Sonny, loves this Vet! It's a very calm, quiet place even when it's busy. My dog, prior to coming here, didn't like to go to the Vet. He had surgery for a huge, painful hematoma here - they did a super job. Sonny actually pulls to get into the Office. They are a 10 in my book!!!

Dr. Houston was beyond great!! We live in Sandy, my mom referred us to Barlow Trail which is in Sandy and their other location but due to the severity of my dogs urinary issues I needed him in sooner so they fit me in at Village Vet on Saturday. The dog I have that needed care is barely a year old lab and EXTREMLEY hyper flipping, flopping and pulling everywhere, Dr Houston handled it better than I would have expected. She was all smiles super caring and friendly and very patient. She got right down on the floor with him, we adored her! We will definitely be transferring both of our dogs care to her! ** The one thing I was bummed about was that I saw online our first office call was waved if we mentioned it apon arrival and when I did that I was told we actually needed to find a code online and they were unable to tell me how to find it.

Dr. Houston and the rest of the veterinarians and staff are WONDERFUL!!! Having cats who have been patients of The Village Vet for several years, I have come to know Dr. Houston and the staff very well. I highly recommend them for your dogs and cats! Through life and death situations, one feral cat who adopted us, a kitten we found on the highway, a cat with kidney failure, and routine checkups, Dr. Houston has always had our cats' best interest at heart. She has always treated our cats as her own, given us good advice, been respectful of the cost of treatments, and held our hands, more than once! She is just a delightful person too. Give The Village Vet a try for excellent care at a good price!

The doctors and staff at Village Vet really care about the animals and their people. We had to put our sweet old dog down and Dr. Thompson really helped us through that difficult time, not to mention the entire staff signed and mailed a sympathy card to us. When we got our new puppy, Dr. Houston was very understanding and informative and offered a great neuter program. Yesterday was out puppy's 1 yr birthday and we would have forgotten if he hadn't received a bday gift in the mail from Village Vet!
