Springwater Vet , in short, is an incredible resource for those who've tried everything and still have an ill pet. That's the short end of it. The long end is that we were referred to Dr. Scott by a friend who runs an animal sanctuary. Right away, that told us we would be seeing a compassionate vet who could work with out limited budget. Dr. Scott is so much more. We've taken our cat to 11 vets over the past 6 years for a reoccurring deep ear infection. Three of the vets were allergy/ear specialists and one was a neurologist. She's had a few thousand dollars of procedures and testing done, which left us with little money and only more questions. The next step was to do an $1,800 MRI. Wow. We are committed to our cat, but this was all too much. We scheduled a visit with Dr. Scott and our first visit gave us something we'd lost: hope. Dr. Scott took the time to fully understand our cat's history, symptoms, and personality, as well as our needs/limits as pet moms. She has asked all the right questions and is piecing them together in a way no other vet has. She is *very* resourceful, creative, and pragmatic - something no other vet has been with our extremely difficult case. Our cat's neurological issues are resolving from her effort. Amazing! It is apparent Dr. Scott loves the heck out of animals and takes each case to heart while being mindful of our financial limits. If you live in Portland, it is WELL worth the drive. I can't recommend her enough.
