We will not be taking our pets to this clinic ever again. The receptionist does not make new patients feel welcome, hardly even looks up at you when you walk in the door, and in general doesn't make somebody feel welcome. The doctor is nice, seems to do a good job, but overall a very disappointing visit.

The most un professional vet tech I’ve ever meet. I tried dropping off my cat for my parents to have growth removed. Everything was supposedly taken care of before I came in paper work wise and our expectations were clear to the staff that we didn’t want extra things added then what had been discussed prior. When signing the paper work it turned out that my parents would have to sign all paper work. Which is fine but again those weren’t the arrangements we had made with the vet office. After 30 minutes of back and forth talk between a very rude and un willing to listen vet tech she grabbed the clip board out of my hands and screamed at me they wouldn’t be doing the surgery for us. I get that the situation was intense but that is the most unprofessional way she could have handled this situation and humiliated me in the waiting area. Sad to say I won’t let anyone from this office touch my beloved pets because if they can’t even handle them selves in a professional manner then they shouldn’t even work in that field.

One of my cats has been seen several times by the doctors there. They are great with both the animals and their people and take time to explain the nature of the illness and possible treatments. They don't rush to the most expensive option immediately but rather begin with simpler diagnostics and add to those if needed. My most recent experience was purchasing prescription food for my cat. The price was much more reasonable than I have experienced at other veterinary hospitals and I will be purchasing food from them in the future rather than from an online site. All the staff, including the veterinarians, are very welcoming. I'm new to the area and am very pleased to have found veterinarians whom I can trust.

I had a 14 year old chocolate lab girl that was the most amazing pet ever, sadly with age and sore hips we had to put her to sleep last week. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life! We chose to take her to Plesant hill animal hospital to do this and it was the best decision we could have made. They were extremely compassionate to my family and myself. A few days passed by since we let go of our girl Autzen and a sympathy card came in the mail and was signed from all the amazing staff that work there! I am so impressed with Plesant hill animal hospital and appreciate how they treated us, they truly made a hard time a bit easier and made us feel like family. I would recommend anyone take there pet here!

This place was a Godsend! We had experienced a very difficult and heart wrenching situation with our family dog. We had to have him put down and although we were not a current patient we stopped in to talk with them. We had been out of town camping and as we were traveling home we decided to stop in at Pleasant Hill to see if they could assist us. They were extremely sensitive to our high emotions and knew this was difficult for us. They talked with us, they really went the extra mile making phone calls (due to the details of our situation) and we had never been there before. They handled it with such care for our dog and us. We left that day in awe of their kindness. We said we would actually travel the 45 min one way to use them as our regular vet. Amazing staff, we Thankyou more than you’ll ever know!

Our Los Opso Bentley was bit and thrown around like a rage doll by a pit bull last week and we didn't know if he was going to make it. We rushed him to Pleasant Hill Vet and Dr. Larson along with the Staff did a wonderful job of saving our dog. The follow up care and time they put into caring for Bentley was amazing. The one thing I can say about this staff is they really care about the animals that come in. We are so thankful for you all.

Terrible! Took the dog in for big bump on his face. Vet said possibly cancer or abscess. Almost two weeks have past since the first appointment and my boyfriend is constantly worried about his dog having cancer. .... two weeks! Over $1,000, 3-4 trips to the vet, upsold on an unnecessary tooth cleaning & the bump is still there, getting larger & the vet still doesn’t know what is wrong, no test results, nothing. Don’t waste your time or money here, go to a real vet, a more professional vet, some where with some customer service.

We were given incorrect pricing information for a series of vaccinations that we were talked into. The receptionist admitted we were given incorrect information about costs but made no attempt to correct it. As a result, I paid for the first injection that now is worthless. No apology, no attempt to make it right. Would not take any of our pets there again.

Amazing service, very compassionate staff. Went in for the first time to have our family dog put down, and it was as good an experience as could be, given the circumstances. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and our dog was comfortable there. Location was nice for our dog, as it has a good outdoor area to let them sniff around. The staff even sent us a condolence card, which did help in our grief. We were very grateful to them for making his last moments as relaxing as possible. 10/10 would recommend this place over any other vet I've been to.

I had to take my 23 year old Russian Blue cat named Harley into them for an emergency visit the other morning. I called and they helped me right away. Told me to come in and get him checked out. They were quick, attentive and very helpful. They saw me right away and took care of Harley. He's feeling better thanks to them and we're very grateful for all the help and service they provided. If your animal is in need, they are definitely the place to go!

There aren't enough words for how amazing pleasant Hill animal hospital is. We recently had to put our lab down. They were so kind and understanding and treated him so great. Our dog went peacefully and happy because they gave him such good attention and treats. They do a clay paw print for you afterwards and sent us a card. All the staff is very helpful, informative and knowledgeable. I'm a new pet owner and they even printed out a whole packet of pretty much everything I need to know about dogs. They inquired if I had any questions and made sure I was completely satisfied. I was amazed with the level of service that was provided and will continue to go for all my pets needs. Received a free sample of flea and tick control after finding out my pup had fleas only hours before his appointment. Thank you phap.

As a former vet tech, whose sister is a vet, I appreciate the quality of the care my cat received. From a very thorough exam, to solid recommendations for both acute care and wellness care follow up visits, PHAH delivered. The tech handling my cat was careful and caring. And the receptionist worked hard to find a same day appointment for us. She called us back to schedule us for an appointment that had been cancelled. This is a professional animal hospital that's easy to access and has the friendly feel of a small town practice. As a new resident of Pleasant Hill, I'm thrilled to find we have this great community resource and no need to drive further to see a great vet.

We had our rabbit neutered at this little lovely animal hospital. Everyone was very friendly. This animal hospital is a hidden gem that is for sure! We loved how they treated our rabbit so much that when we got a new puppy and he got sick we immediately called them. We told them that it was an emergency and they got us in to see the vet that day! We adopted a new puppy and needed to get him in for his last few puppy shots. They got is in within the week. When we got to our appointment everything was ready for me to fill out. The front office gal was extra friendly. I had to bring my 18month old along with me to the appointment. They had puzzles, books and a little table in the waiting area. Our Vet tech got back quickly. Friendly, got down on the floor to clip his toenails and ask questions. (we were sitting on the floor reading books) The Vet took her time for his exam, answered our questions, explained her recommendations. They had all the charges itemized, easy to understand and read prior to receiving treatments. Overall it was an excellent first visit. We will be back in 3 weeks for a booster and every year for his exam!!

More than I could ask for. Everyone is very professional, nice, and knowledgeable. My regular vet could not get me in for two weeks. I called PHAH and was put on an emergency fit in. They got me in same day within a couple of hours. My cat was taken care of so well, his wound cleaned out, and he only hissed twice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my cat and especially myself.

My 14 year old daughter was dog sitting for our neighbors when the big dog attacked the little dog out of no where, we could see lacerations on the puppies legs, stomach and throat. I called the owners and we agreed to take the dog to the vet for them as they were still 4 hours away from home. The owners called the vet clinic and let them know I was on the way and agreed to pay for any services needed. Once I arrived the front desk staff would not let me leave the dog there, the vet was busy and nobody was available to check out the dogs injuries. I explained to them that before the dog was attacked I was literally driving to the hospital as my grandma was dying and hospice was waiting for me to sign paperwork as I am her POA. The front desk lady did not care one bit! She told me the dog could not stay alone even though I had him in a kennel. They literally told me to take the dog with me, return her to it’s home (with the dog that attacked him) and bring him back when it was more convenient. The owners called and plead with the clinic to let their dog stay there and let me leave as my grandmas life was also important. Still they said No! I ended up leaving my 14 year old daughter st the clinic with the dog, when they finally examined her she needed over $800 in surgery. Several wounds needed tending too. When the owners came to pick up there dog the vet staff told them that I was “black balled” from their establishment and was never welcome back because I was acting “childish” I was in tears at their office because my grandma was in the hospital and I needed to be there and yet I felt obligated to care for this dog. It was a very trying hour in my life and I was not happy with the lack of empathy not only for myself but for this poor puppy with obvious wounds on his body. Worst service ever! Would never recommend a place that has zero empathy for their 4 legged patients as well as their humans. The vet couldn’t even come out and talk to me or look at the dog when I was there but takes the word of his front desk staff that I was out of line and there fore “Black balls” me! Q street animal hospital in Springfield is closest to Pleasant Hill and is amazing!! Less expensive too! Take your fur babies there and save yourself from these people

All I planned to do was to call to inquire pricing but the staff was so friendly and helpful that I ended up setting three appointments on the spot. One for new patient appoint which turned out to be free and super cool. One for a two week pre-op appointment for surgery. And one for the surgery date for my dog to get spayed. When I went to the first appointment. Staff was super nice and informative. Front desk clerk was really friendly too. Everyone there was really nice to me and my pet peanut. She was in good hands and loved the attention. I know she will be taken care of for her surgery and I no longer have any fears.

My dog deals with barrier aggression, so he’s not the easiest to examine. I’ve had bad experiences at other veterinarian establishments before. However, my experiences at Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital have all been great. Dr. Larson is so good with my dog, and really seems to know his stuff. Jerrah has seen my dog twice now, and she has been so gentle with him and has gotten him to calm down. I’m truly amazed at her ability to work with him and I really feel like she cares about him. Kyra has also helped on some of Foreman‘s examinations, and she is very patient with him and does a great job as well. Michele at the front desk is awesome too! Going to the vet is something that used to stress me out because my dog has a hard time, but the team at Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital truly makes it easy and a good experience, even though my dog is hard to deal with.

Had an urgent issue with my 11 1/2 year old heeler mix. His softball-sized tumor started draining all over the house and he was severely lethargic. We weren't sure he would make it through the weekend. Made an appointment online with P. Hill Animal Hospital and they called first thing Monday morning to ask follow up questions. After a diagnosis Monday morning, he was scheduled for surgery Tuesday, first thing. Since his surgery with these wonderful animal caretakers, he's back to his normal, happy-go-lucky self. I can't thank them enough for not only being wonderful to my dog, but for actively listening to me about the crazy life he's had with us. They were very kind to the kids when I had to bring them in, too.
