Nice staff
I have taken all of dogs there. My last visit with my new pup was fantastic. Dr. Sargent was great with her, she was very comfortable with the vet. He even checked out my older dog for possible eye problems and referred us to a specialist free of charge. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a pet!
From the front desk personnel and vet techs to the doggie doctors, we trust Oregon Trail in taking care of our canine kids. Over the years our boys have had great care from puppy hood and the "terrible twos" to senior dogs and making decisions about going to the Rainbow Bridge. A special shout out to doctors Brent Barton and Mark Sargent ... thanks for your expert and compassionate care of the Malgesini pack.
Very nice and respectful.
There.friendly
Greet you with a smile coming and going
Overall very friendly staff however haven’t had good experiences with them when bringing in livestock such as cattle.
Great service and very professional.
My Corgi had a foxtail in his ear, we went to Oregon Trail vet. Didn't have a appointment, but they got us in very quickly, Thank you so much. Great Dr's and staff. Thanks Carla
The Vets at Oregon trail are some of the most compassionate people I know. I have been going there over 12 years. I just went thru a heartbreaking loss and even the Vet had tears in her eyes. They have been so good to me that I just can't praise them enough. I will always go to them as long as I live in Hermiston,Or. I have gone to others prior but switched to them over 12 yrs ago. I really just can't say enough good things about this clinic. My pets are like kids to me and they really know and understand that.. When I have had emergencies they have taken me in right away. I really enjoy the girls in the office and the Tech's are great too.I highly recommend this Clinic with great praise.
Gal assisting doctor made our first puppy visit uncomfortable and uninviting.
The vet & staff are awesome. Very kind.
They helped my dog
Been our vet for over 25 years.
Great people and good with the animals
Very friendly.
It's the only Veterinary Clinic I have used in Hermiston Or., They are expensive but my 4 dogs & 2 Cats are worth it!!! Friendly People!!
Took awesome care of my bby
I love Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic. I have been a cleint for 32 yrs. Dr. Seargent has been our vet through years. We have also been attended by the other Vets in the Clinic, who are also very good. All Vets here care about my pets and livestock just as much as I do. They will go the extra mile for you and your animals. The staff is wonderful, they are very caring and welcoming. Thank you! Letty and Bob L.
Great service
Compassionate and wonderful
Took Petey in for his shots as a puppy. Have been back for his yearly shots. Everyone is very professional, have given us advice on taking care of a small dog. Thank you all. Petey had the misfortune of being a target of a pickup, the pickup won. We now have a 3 year old dog we got from the shelter named Oscar. We took him to Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic for his check-up he needs teeth cleaning which we have Oscar scheduled. Hope we can keep Oscar away from the Auto's.
Good good work stitches look nice treated the dog well put them under and woke him up secretary was not very friendly.. and don't ever say I have a $500 limit cuz guaranteed your spending $500 even if you're in and out in 45 minutes just saying
My family has been using Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic for many years. We have always received the best service. They are always very kind when the unfortunate lose of a pet happens. They are always very accommodating when asking for an appointment on a certain date and time. Keep up to great work and service Oregon Trail Vet!!!
Best clinic in town!
This vet is has the most compassion out of all the vets here in Hermiston. A short while ago my dog got sick. I waited a couple of days before I took her in. (she started to act better) the next morning before I took her in she took a fast turn for the worst. I called the vet and they got her in that morning. Well I was limited on funds and they did everything they could for her. I took her home and got her all nice and cozy in my room. After a few hours of her being home she died. I called the vet to let them know. I talked to the ladies in the office, the vet tech and the doctor. They all told me how sorry they were and gave me there condolences. They even sent me a card in the mail with a hand written note. I had never received a note like that. My dog could have been saved if I only had taken her in sooner. It's no fault from the vet. Yeah it would have been easier to blame the vet because I was hurt she had passed. But all in reality it was my fault. The vet tried there hardest to help her. I am extremely greatful for oregon trail vet. They will have my service as long as I live here in Hermiston.
We have been going to Oregon Trail Vet for longer than I remember. They are always there when you have an emergency and support you when you lose one of your much loved animals. Excellent service and friendly staff.
They're overpriced crooks who wont work with and wont work with the rescue that's willing to help pay cost they are rude and denied treatment because we would go along with their money scam I wouldn't recommend them
The people at this office are kind and will do everything in their power to help you.
Good place to take your sick pet. Clean modern location with plenty of parking. They also. Do horses and cattle.

Very compassionate. Know what they're doing. The drs are best and the have an after hrs number for when they're closed. Very caring. Ill go back when i get another pet n I'll recommend them to everyone
I just viewed a you tube video documenting a vet requesting an owner to hold a dying cat down as it vocalized and desperately tried to escape. No catheter no vet tech. I will mist definitely not ever recommend an animal be treated at your facility.
Doctors seems knowledgeable, however seem to be all about money. First I came in with a puppy I had just purchased. 98% of our visit was pushing their shots package (which is ridiculous priced). Secondly, a neighbor kid injured my kitten so my husband brought her in after hours to be seen for her leg. The person that was supposed to pay (the person responsible for the child) went with my husband that night. The following day when I went to go pick up my kitty the person changed their mind about their responsibility to pay. I didn't have the money for the vet bill at the time as it was in between paydays and I was very upset because I just didn't know what to do. They wouldn't let me take my kitten until the bill was paid. They don't even accept payment plans! If the person responsible wouldn't have finally paid I don't know what I would have done! And on all honesty l, $232 just for the vet to feel her leg, let her sleep there and a small amount of anti inflammatory is way too expensive! My grandma goes to a different vet. I will be going there for further visits.
Iwould like to thank orergon trail veterinary clinic for the great job they did with are dog. It wasd a very good expeirence not only for us but are dog as well.I am shure we will see you soon thanks again.
The people are amazing would have given it a 5 if they would take payments especially when it was an emergency visit
I really like the whole staff at the clinic. They are all friendly and very nice. I have been going there for over 8 years and will keep going there. I have also referred them to other family members who go there also. I say, Hats off to a great team.
Great people, really care about your animals
Friendly staff and thorough vets
I think a lot of these reviews here (the 5 star ones) are fabricated by the staff/ friends of staff at Oregon Trail Vet Clinic. My sister brought in her 6 week old feral kitten to have her eyes checked out because they were infected, and the vet Dr. Blake dewormed the kitten even though she did not have worms. The kitten had a severe allergic reaction to the medication used for the deworming, had a seizure and died. During this time, we contacted the vet who said the kitten had low blood sugar and instructed us to put corn syrup on her tongue. Really? Instead of encouraging and emergency visit we were told to give the kitten sugar? I will never bring my dogs or cats here and if anyone ever asks a good place to bring their animals I will steer them clear of this awful clinic.
I took my three cats in for their shots. I didn't have a problem with the exam and the cost of the shots. What I have a problem with is the price I was charged for the diet cat food they want us to feed them. It would have been great to be told this is what you should feed them. No, I was charged $43.99 for an 8.5 lb bag of cat food. That won't ever happen again, I will find someplace else to buy it.
Very good with all animals ❤️ very kind too all owners and pets
Very sweet and knowledgeable when I brought my dog in with urinary issues.
They take great care of ur animals here
The only place ill take my animals, been going there with my fur babies and farm animals for over 30 years.
Will not take my animals anywhere else....ask for Jackie. ..she will make the stress of your sick animal easier to handle!
There is a new doctor in town, and he knows his equines! April 7th, 2017 I had a miniature foal born very healthy. Within 48 hours he was a very sick baby! Dr. Mannucci knew exactly what it was and treated him accordingly. Dr. Mannucci was available at any time, day or night! TODAY I have a very healthy, frisky and wonderful baby colt that is my world right now. THANK YOU Dr. Mannucci!
2 bad experiences
What a fantastic place! My son had to take his Pit Bull mix here for what we thought was something simple. It turns out she got into some Cheat grass and had to have emergency surgery. The staff was so kind and professional I can't say enough about the care his Dog received. This place was just amazing and fast and I would like to say my son's dog was back to herself in one day like nothing ever happened. She took it better than we did!! Great job everybody!!!
These guys are great! They are always helpful and informative.
They did an excellent job on my moms dog skittles.
Wonderful staff, clean facility. My animals enjoy their check-ups.
They were great !
A little spendy but a good place to take your pets
High prices
Had to bring in a dog for an emergency appointment. It was an emergency. They did treat the dog but then threatened to hold her hostage until the bill was paid! Seriously?!?! Didn't plan this visit, and I have never ever not paid a bill. Told them I could pay for it at the end of the month when I get paid again and they told me they don't accept payment plans. What kind of Vet Clinic would do such a thing. Definitely will be looking else where for future care. Who does that??? They won't let be rate the zero...to bad.
I trust Oregon Trail to provide expert care for both of our dogs. They treat our pups like their own, and work quickly and gently when shots or medication is needed so that the dogs don't become upset. I also am impressed with the cleanliness of their offices, given how much a dirty job it can be.
My experiences with all the doctors and staff have been helpful and positive. Dr Sargent has been very helpful with my two pets who are aging and has been available even by phone to answer questions when necessary...the staff in reception have always been polite and helpful making experiences pleasant when sometimes visits to the vet are not joyful ones. Would definitely refer anyone to this clinic for their pets.
Great personal care for me and my animals every time I come in. From Jackie at the front counter to Desiree and Dr. Blake taking excellent care of my Alpacas like they were their own, it is a very personable experience with every visit.
When I came.1st with a sphynx I got a look , of awww, but when I asked if they could take on updating their Knowledge on this breed there were more than excited and have helped me through 2 litters and over 13 healthy babies including my king and Queen I have truly appreciated all they have done and am grateful.. The staff is wonderful and they love my babies just as much as I do
Thanks
An excellent veterinary clinic to take your pets. The staff is experienced and very caring & understanding of the love for animals. I highly recommend this facility
My Ali was having issues from her spay surgery at the end of April, yet the complications did not show up until in July. Oregon Trail Vet Clinic got her in and allowed me to make sure she was well taken care of when they needed to put her back under anesthesia and remove sutures that did not absorb. It is almost August and she is already healed up and her hair is growing back in. She was very happy to be at the office and even though she is usually kind of timid around those she does not know, she was excellent and the staff and Dr. Mark Sargent was very kind, informative, knowledgeable and experienced. Ali is doing great since this experience. I plan to use Oregon Trail for all my pets in the future. Rhonda, Butterscotch, Sahara, Ali, and Zeus Foster
Almost killed my dog when brought in for a routine neuter! Then gave me a $850 bill when it was their fault! Will never go back.
Good Christian man. Treats you right
They treated us with respect and kindness
They care about your fur kids
Dr. Jana von Borstel is Awesome Sauce! She is so smart and knowledgeable. She helped me through a rough time with our old Black Lab, Holly and that was over the phone! I won't mind a bit driving from Kennewick to Hermiston for the kind of care I trust she'll give our Love! Thank you so much Miss von Borstel!
My dogs and I love going to Oregon Trail. The office people and Dr's. are so friendly. I have had them come to my house several times, because I can't get one of my horses in the trailer. They have every thing on hand. Love that place! Jackie Haney
Good place
Honestly one of the worst vets. They were completely rude to my mother and I. super unprofessional when we took our dog in. Did NOT give us proper instructions to clean her wound did NOT tell us everything we needed to know. I do not recommend them. And I dont like how they treated us.
I have been taking my pets there for over 30 plus years the staff is Great.
Best vet hospital in the area! Friendly front office staff, great techs, and compassionate vets who are willing to work with you every step of the way. They also have a 24/7 emergency pager and will come in the middle of the night on Christmas if needed.
Thank you for checking our Bo Kitty when he wasn't feeling so good. Our animals are like family and we trust and appreciate you treating them the way we do. We are supporters of Fuzz ball rescue and Thank you for all you do to help save the lives of all fuzz ball critters.
Vet care for an older dog was excellent.
The best veterinarians in town! Friendly and caring staff that understand pets are family. They really go the extra mile and it's always appreciated.
We were having troubles with another vet client here in Hermiston, and we needed a vet quick so my sister called around on a Saturday to see who was open and we found these guys and they got our iussed taken care of with a good and friendly attuide. Thank you Oregon Trail Veterina
Over the years I've had 5 dogs from puppy to elderly cared for here. Always great service and compassion when needed. I recommend them to my mother. She is a huge fan of Dr. Blake now. Thank you so much.
My mare had a large laceration to her left shoulder requiring several internal stitches and 49 external. The doctor and staff were so very kind and helpful. They took the time to explain all the procedures and after care for my mare. And even asked for updates on her progress because it's going to be a long 4-6 month healing process. I would recommend this vet to anybody seeking great animal Care. A++ service!
The staff here is great. I was nervous about how my dog's foot was healing and they were more than accommodating in educating me about what was normal vs not.
If there was a way to put zero stars I would. Can't even help someone out who has a very sick cat. I person behind the desk even saw my cat and wouldn't do anything for him because I didn't have money on hand or in my bank account. Wouldn't even do a payment plan with me. Terrible place. Never go here. Edit: When I got home from work I found out that my cat died for a little and my dad had to give him CPR. He is now having seizures. I'm going to Banfield Hospital. I recommend everyone go there or to the other vet clinic in Hermiston. These people only care for money not about the animals or their owners.
UPDATE: I don't know how to write a new review so here is my edited one. My Kitty needed a lot of work on his mouth and Dr. Blake was great...as always! She gives excellent care and does it with so much compassion. All the vets and staff are the best here! Oh and on a side note they are also patient with the difficult humans that are neurotic about their animals and can be b*tchy :) This is the most compassionate vets office in our town. They go above and beyond to make your furry one feel comfortable and get them well. They also cater to the family. I have brought all of my own animals and rescues in there and they always help them, even when I show up without calling. I recommend them highly!
I take my little boy (a Yorkie) to Dr. Blake and she always treats him with love and kindness while implementing the most up to date treatment. She has come to our rescue more than once! I trust her judgement and feel that she is a gift to the Veterinary world. A big thank you to her and the rest of the staff!
I recently brought my cat in for her very first veterinary visit. While this was routine and non-emergency in nature, and could have easily been considered low-priority, I was able to obtain an appointment within a couple of business days of my initial contact. The doctor and staff were extremely conscientious, thorough and efficient, and my cat was seen within minutes of arrival. She's going back in for another visit several days from now to complete the rest of her initial series of vaccines, and I plan to have her spayed here in the near future.
Always there to help.
Took my cat in to get fixed. A very common thing to do. So they call me and say they want to keep her overnight cause she isn't coming out of the meds given for surgery. The next morning they call me to say my cat passed. Really? Explanation: Sometimes these things happen. Couldn't be the cat was over drugged. And why wouldn't they at least make the offer to replace the cat or tell me if I got another cat they would fix it for free? Kinda left me with that O'well poop happens feeling.
They have served our pets and horses for years. They have always been compassionate during the most difficult times. They also are very knowledgeable and experienced. The staff is wonderful.
Very friendly and professional I would take all my animals there
Appreciate the communication and follow through. Services were exactly what I'd asked for and done very promptly. I would recommend this clinic and their services.
